Master and Idiot Student

Naruto arrived back home late at night. He sighed,

"Man that old hag is rough." He rolled his shoulders and sighed more. "I want to crawl into bed and go to sleep."

Naruto frowned,

The old woman was a slave driver but he hated to admit it to her, not wanting to inflate her ego, but she sure knew how to train someone to the bone. Especially since she made sure he was ready for any situation that he can get involved with.

Naruto had mastered most of the basics but she drilled it into his head repeatedly never to neglect them and to not worry about advance stuff as that is sometimes not necessary on the battlefield. Sometimes the basics are all you need to survive in a real fight.

'Well the old hag knows what she is doing so whatever.'

Naruto entered the house and kicked off his worn shoes and walked through to head upstairs.

"Naruto."

Turning his head to the right, he saw his parents, Kakashi, the Uchiha, and his godparents sitting there in the kitchen.

Naruto stared at them for a second and contemplated ignoring this and going upstairs but he realized this would just agitate the situation and it would take longer to get some sleep.

Turning away from the stairs he walked over to the kitchen with his hands in his pockets and a bored expression on his face.

"Yeah?"

His father stared at him,

"Naruto were you out with Lady Kure all day?"

Naruto looked up at the ceiling,

"Yeah I mean she was training me so I guess you could say it was just hanging out."

Naruto really wanted to go to bed.

"Naruto," Turning down he saw his father frowning, "What exactly is she teaching you?"

Naruto shrugged,

"You know a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Some techniques and some weird philosophy that kind of stuff."

Everyone saw the blank stare in his face and this agitated Tsunade but she was held in place by Jiraiya.

"Naruto we need to know what she has been teaching you."

Naruto turned his head to Kushina,

"Why though? I thought she made it quite clear to stop poking around her business and I don't know politics too well but I think pissing off a clan that is feared and respected like the Kure is a dumb move."

Naruto started picking his ear with his pinky finger.

"Besides what she teaches me holds no relevance to anything here so can we move on?"

Fugaku coughed,

"Very well," he glared at Naruto with his wife sharing the same expression and their oldest child Itachi there having a blank expression. "What you did to Sasuke today was unacceptable. He was seriously injured in your fight and now has to get hospital treatment because of it."

Naruto raised an eyebrow,

'I swear I held back more.'

He didn't care, but it was the point of this conversation.

"Okay so?"

Fugaku bristled,

"What you did today was humiliating to our family and it was in poor sport!"

Naruto raised an eyebrow,

"So him drawing a kunai was all in good sport?"

Fugaku growled and Mikoto narrowed her eyes,

"Regardless of what he did, you didn't have to go that far which is why you are going to apologize to Sasuke on your hands and knees and pay for his medical bill."

Naruto looked at the room and saw everyone sharing the same stern expression.

'Fucking seriously?'

"No."

This made the entire room drop, Mikoto jumped up her eyes red,

"What did you say!?"

"You heard me no." Naruto picked out his ear and flung the ear wax ball away. "I'm not paying for anything and I'm not apologizing for anything. Your son came at me from behind with a kunai when it was meant to be Taijutsu only. Then he aimed for a spot on my neck that either would have killed me or left me paralyzed. At the end of it all; it doesn't matter because I was in my right to retaliate and inflict pain on him."

Mikoto growled,

"You damn brat! You are letting your actions and your standing with Lady Kure go to your head! What if she heard about what you did today to a prodigy of the Uchiha clan!?"

"She knew about that as she was watching." Naruto picked out his ear while ignoring the shocked expressions, "In her words, if he was stupid enough to let his ego be jilted that much then he got what he deserved."

Mikoto growled more and Minato slammed his hand on the table making everyone turn to him.

"Regardless you will pay for his medical bills and you will apologize."

"With what money?"

"You'll have to work in the village." He turned to see the cruel smile of Mikoto and Fugaku while Itachi turned away from him but he had a small smile as well.

'Hypocrites, all of them.'

"Again my answer is no."

Everyone in the room just bristled,

"Naruto this is an order from your clan head!"

"Still no."

This shocked the room; he was willing to defy his clan head?

"Naruto!" Turning his head he was just in time to see Kushina hit him across the face sending him flying into the wall with a massive thud. Naruto slid to the floor and felt blood trickling down his face.

'Fuck that is irritating as can be. Although I guess I know now, the hag hits harder.'

"Naruto this isn't a debate or a question you WILL do this understood?"

Naruto looked up at his mother who was towering over him and being all intimidating but Naruto just felt blood in his mouth and wondered why people told him it taste like copper? He tasted liquid, maybe ramen?

Naruto sat up and stood to his feet and after swishing around some blood he swallowed confusing the room and angering Kushina further.

"I said do you understand!?"

"Yeah I heard you." Naruto stared at her, "But no matter what you do the answer is the same."

Kushina sighed,

"Naruto if you keep this up we will have no choice to but to punish your further?"

"I got punched into a wall by you and everyone is just screaming and yelling at me what more can you guys actually do?"

This made Tsunade smirk,

"Well they can expel you from this house? What do you think about that?"

Naruto stared at her and could only stick his tongue out at her and she grew furious. "YOU LITTLE SHIT!"

Tsunade roared to life and rushed to him but Naruto just sighed.

"Whatever," Naruto ducked under her grab and walked around them. "Go ahead; expel me from the house. Not like I don't have somewhere else I could go anyway." Naruto proceeded to head upstairs and without waiting for anyone he entered his room and packed a few things of his own such as clothes and some scrolls Lady Kure gave him. After this he walked back downstairs and saw everyone still standing there.

Jiraiya finally stood up,

"Come on kid you really going to try and call this? You do know the minute you leave everything you are ceases to exist right? You'll never be able to return."

"Sorry but your just making me want to walk out that door faster."

This shocked the house and Kushina finally hesitated,

"Wait are you that unhappy here you would rather live out there instead of here with your family?"

Naruto sighed, he was tired and sore and now he is probably nursing a crack skull so he just wanted this over with.

"Fine you want to know the truth? I don't care. I don't care about a single person in this room; if you all died in a fire I wouldn't cry or even bother visiting your graves. To me this cease to be a home to me years ago, this ceased to be a family years ago, and this village has ceased to mean more than just a place I live in until I'm old enough to leave. Outside of that? What do I really owe anyone anymore?"

Naruto just turned from them; "Go ahead disown me; ignore me, and do whatever you want but at the end of the day I'm no one's pet and I don't bend to a single person. Not to the hag and surely not to any of you." Naruto then proceeded to walk out the door with a slam and sighed. "Fuck this day."

Naruto walked away from the manor and while looking back one more time he did feel a sense of ease. No longer would he be forced back, no longer would have to endure his siblings, and no more did he have to 'live up' to the idea of the Namikaze family being this perfect family.

Finally he felt free.

Naruto the Orphan was finally leaving the place that was home of his nightmares.

Walking down the street he saw most of the vendors and other stations were closing up and he was just looking around for something to help with his stay in the village.

"Brat I thought I told you to go home?"

Turning his head he smiled slightly at the hag.

"Well, I'm officially an orphan starting today so I don't really have a home to go back to."

This made her raise an eyebrow,

"What did that stupid cuck of a Kage do now?"

Naruto shrugged his shoulders,

"Mostly wanted me to apologize to Sasuke on my hands and knees, pay for his medical bills somehow, and give them all the secrets and techniques you have shown me."

Naruto missed the dark glare in her eyes and she was gritting her teeth slightly.

"Well then, if you have nowhere to go your more than welcome to stay at my home. I don't really use it much other than to eat and sleep when I'm not kicking the shit out of you."

"Keep talking grandma and I'll be the one sending you to the grave."

"Ha!"

She smiled slightly, "That'll be the day you little shit." She rolled her shoulder and lead him through the village.

He followed as she offered, which meant he had a place to live and training he could get more often now than waiting for the day to end.

So win-win situation for him.

Arriving at her small three-story home, he entered and was assigned one of the empty bedrooms which he just threw his stuff on the floor, laid out on the bed, and fell asleep.

Today was just not his day and he was done dealing with shit.

Little did he know Lady Kure was just the opposite.

Downstairs she was gritting her teeth and her hand was clenched against the table. How fucking dare they! Was her warning not enough! Did they actually think they would be allowed to learn the Kure family secrets just to suit their own delusional dreams?

World peace? A world where no murders happen and people are all happy and sappy?

It made her want to puke.

Such a world can't exist with difference and hate. To her; whoever came up with that prophecy was a fucking moron that needed to be hung.

She sighed, before pulling out some parchment and writing something down on the parchment and then snapping her fingers.

In a puff of smoke came out a small brown fox creature that was standing on its back paws and wearing a black scarf around its neck and carrying a small crossbow on its back.

"Please take this letter." She handed it to the creature, "Hand it to my stupid brother and tell him to get this to the Fire Daiyamo immediately as I've about had it with this fucking village and the treatment of my student."

The creature gave a salute and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

She sighed before looking all around the room; she sparcely decorated the place as she didn't really feel the need to be overly needy. Sure there were some expensive stuff here and there but to her a simple life is better as it reminded her growing up during the wars. How she had to take part in the front line conflict and how she was made a monster on the battlefield. Personally; she longed for those days as things were simpler in her eyes; kill or be killed.

That is how the Kure's lived and the way they lived. But now; she knew her clan had settled into their new roles in the Capital buts he knew they never lost their edge.

'Unlike Konoha and some of these other villages. How sad; enjoy peace but brace for conflict that is how you are supposed to do it. Not pamper to spoiled children and assholes but train them as their lives might be in danger in the next battlefield and you might not to be there to protect them.'

She sighed and headed upstairs and smiled when she saw her student passed out on the bed and got to thinking,

'Maybe it is time I went through with my original plan for him after he showed me it.'

She returned to her room and fell asleep thinking of all the cruel torture she was going to put her student through starting tomorrow. Oh the screams of pain will be enjoyable.

Hey she loved her student but he was still a brat.

Next day

Naruto showed up for class and just sat down at his desk in the back and laid his head in his arms. He was not going to waste the energy today; the hag ordered him to recover more before they train later. It was annoying but he owed her now so he can't complain.

Sarcastic remarks yes, but he wouldn't refuse her.

Naruto could feel eyes on him and he just didn't bother looking up. For him, he knew who it was and if he did even lock eyes with them they would-,

"Mother's upset."

Naruto sighed,

"Yeah so." He heard someone groan while his voice was muffled he could hear well enough.

"She wants to see you after school to talk about your shameful behavior. She also wants to talk about how your going to pay back the Uchiha clan."

Naruto sighed, this shit? For real? He thought he was finally away from the annoying stuff.

"Not happening," he muffled, "Neither the money or the apology."

He finally felt her grab the back of his head by his ponytail and his head was lifted up.

His sister was glaring at him and he couldn't muster the energy to care.

"How could you be related to us? I swear I don't understand how you can act like this when you're the weakest in our family."

Naruto just stared bored.

"Can you let go of my hair it is annoying."

"Shut up asshole! You are going to listen to your heir and listen well or otherwise something might happen to that little master of yours." She gave a dark smile.

Naruto sighed.

"You know, I figured they would teach you but I guess they didn't so allow to explain this to you. You threatened a Kure, do you even know what that means for everyone?"

The room stared at them and he could see his sister scoff,

"Just some nobody clan-,"

"They are the highest ranking clan in the land and are herald as the demons on the battlefield. They are one of the reasons that the Fire Lord doesn't bother to use us anymore for security as most of the clan does his security detail. They are stronger, faster, smarter, and more dangerous than even some kages. It is one of the reasons that the nations don't dare to attack his palace or send assassins as they have eliminated all threats like that in the past and murdered people left and right to find out who did it or sent them." Naruto frowned, "Also, you should know that the Kure woman that I know, she is the most dangerous of them as even Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't fuck with her."

Naruto reached up and removed his sister's hand from his hair. Before pulling it in front of them and giving her a deadpan stare.

"Do you understand the rammifications of threatening her?"

"She can't-,"

"She could murder all of you and the Lord would just sweep it under the rug. It is that simple."

Naruto squeezed his sister's wrist and she started to wince at the pain.

"If she wanted to, no one would openly defy her. It is one of the reasons you see the villagers backing away from her even in her advance age. Because she is terrifying and at the same time, she won't hesitate to murder people that dare to get in her way. You should really think about that before you go making such threats, but for now I'll chalk this up to you being naïve and frustrated with clan issues. Now leave me alone."

He released her hand before putting his head into his desk and closing his eyes. He could hear her walking away from him but she was muttering something but he didn't care.

He just wanted to sleep.

The class started to buzz again and soon they heard a door open and he sighed, knowing it had to be either Iruka or Mizuki that walked in. He was not sure which one of the assholes was worse as they both were dismissive and either pampering or half-assing their schedules and training of the students who needed it the most.

"Naruto Uzumaki!"

Naruto raised his head, not bothering to correct him. Iruka glared, "The Hokage is demanding your presence immediately report to the tower."

Naruto sighed,

"Fucking figured he can't drop anything. Makes me wonder if he is really a man or a child?"

This got gasps from the class and glares from some of his classmates and even his teachers. But he ignored it for walking out of the classroom and into the village where he just kept his hands behind his head and looking up at the sky.

"What a beautiful day, sad I'm wasting it indoors."

Naruto proceeded to the tower and after bypassing the secretary, Naruto entered the main office and sighed.

"Really is all this fan-fare really necessary?"

In the room was his father behind his desk; Jiraiya and Tsunade, Kakashi, Kushina, and the Uchiha clan.

"Let me ask is this about last night or-,"

"Naruto I have been lenient with your attitude and behavior but if you don't remain silent and understand what is going on you will be in bigger trouble."

Naruto rolled his eyes,

"Uh huh, look I should probably get a third party in here because I feel this is a bullying situation."

"Naruto." Minato glared, and he just sighed.

"What?"

"Listen carefully; first you are going to apologize to the Uchiha family, then you are going to make money necessary to pay for Sasuke's hospital bills, and then you are going to apologize to us for walking out of the house."

"Okay then here is the simple answer; no, no, and hell no."

Minato slammed his hands on the desk and Kushina had to restrain Mikoto.

"Naruto this isn't a negotiation or choice this is an order!"

"By who? From the sounds of it this seems like your just trying to make me do something I have no intention to do and cover up Sasuke's misconduct quite the Kage there."

Jiriaya glared,

"You should watch your mouth brat he could kill you in a flash."

"Did I say he couldn't; he is a shinobi so that is to be understandable but that doesn't mean I can't call him out on bullshit stuff." Naruto sighed, "Besides I don't really live there anymore and don't intend on returning to that house that marks me as an orphan no?"

Minato sighed and sat down,

"You have 24 hours to comply or you will be thrown into house arrest and might even lose your chance to be a shinobi."

Naruto sighed,

"Fuck this is annoying."

Naruto felt his head turn and saw his mother in front of him.

"How dare you use that language in front of us."

Naruto tasted blood again, he gathered up the blood in his mouth and spit it on the floor.

"I speak my mind nothing more." Naruto stared down his mother who just growled before slumping her shoulders.

"Naruto why do you continue this behavior? Don't you see that your ruining this family with your selfish behavior?"

"Not really." Naruto picked his ears while swishing around more blood before spitting onto the carpet. "This is more you guys wanting to keep this image of some perfect family but I don't see that happening. Because now someone might see through the smoke-screen bullshit you are now trying to throw me around and literally beat me down to do your bidding." Naruto shook his head, "I have nothing more to say than I refuse. I won't pay and I won't submit to anything related to this matter and this is the last time I will talk about it."

Minato stared at Naruto and just shook his head,

"Then by the power invested in me; Naruto you are hearby under house arrest until further notice."

"Or until I cow down you mean?"

"ENOUGH!" Minato snapped his fingers and two ANBU appeared to grab Naruto but there was a knock at the door.

"We are in the middle of a meeting!"

Turning their heads the door swung open and entering the room was a man dressed in a fine kimono carrying a scroll in in his hand marked by the Fire Lord.

"I believe I am here on importance business by our lord or are you deeming your activity more important than him?"

He glared at the room; he was a middle age man and Naruto saw he carried himself as a warrior and a diplomat but Naruto could see the subtle flare of his chakra as if measuring up people.

He had to admit it was a good tactic.

The black-haired man approached Minato's desk and opened the scroll reading from it.

"Upon learning of the events in question of a Sasuke Uchiha pulling a kunai on one Naruto and attacking him from behind and only retaliating as demanded, the Fire Court finds Naruto not guilty of any crime in question. Furthermore there will be no more pursuits of this matter against Naruto or by the Uchiha clan, any further activity related to this case or attempts of revenge will be seen as treason and thus all parties will be held responsible." The man stared at the Hokage who looked like he swallowed a lemon.

Naruto on the other hand looked up at the two masked people holding him.

"You mind removing your hands? It seems I'm not being arrested."

The two looked at the Hokage and then at the diplomat and removed his hands even though Minato growled a bit.

But the man continued,

"Furthermore it has come to the Lord's attention that the Hokage has attempted theft of Kure Clan secrets in which is a violation of the treaty agreement with the Kure family and the Royal Fire Court and Konoha. Henceforth any further actions that are taken against the Kure must pass through the Fire Court at this time. Also, one Naruto, is now under the guardianship of Lady Eriah Kure, and any further attempts to commit action against him shall be done so through here. All conversations with Naruto shall be with her to monitor, any attempts to circumvent the wishes of the lord and the Kure shall be seen as treason." The man closed the scroll. "I hope there is no further issues Minato?"

The Hokage shook his head.

The rest of the room either growled or nodded their heads.

The man nodded before turning to Naruto,

"You are free to go young man."

Naruto nodded and turned to the door.

"By the way," Naruto turned back to the man with a small smile, "I can't wait to hear the stories they tell of you in the future."

Naruto yawned,

"Well hopefully they won't be too over hyped, hate to give people the wrong idea of me needing a big head."

Naruto walked out of the room but he then stopped for a second.

"Wait was that guy wearing contacts?"

Back in the room the man stared at the room in question and reached for his eyes and they saw him removing his contact shocking them all that the man had dark grey eyes with black pupils.

"I trust this matter has been resolved?" He smiled darkly and soon the room was on edge. "As you can see the Kure family has eyes and ears everywhere and more importantly if Lady Eriah has eyes on someone it is best you leave them be. Because anything else and our entire family might come looking for blood after all," he smiled darkly, "Blood for Blood."

The room flinched and the man walked out of the room leaving everyone bewildered and confused.

All they were trying to do is get Naruto back on the same page as everyone else; to understand his mistake.

But now things are more complicated and they so much as move the wrong way it could be trouble for Konoha. While Minato is confident in his village's strength he knows if the Fire Lord withdrew his support; their village would be fucked. They agitated their enemies, pissed off their allies, and there are some that just don't want anything to do with them. In reality; they had made quite the laundry list of enemies.

But it was all good all they had to do was train the twins and make sure they are ready for the future and to help usher in a new era of peace; whether Naruto is part of this or not no longer matter.

But maybe this situation was for the best? Naruto no longer required their attention and thus they can focus solely on the twins and help bring their family to the next level.

Minato got to signing off on some paperwork and marked with his stamp and on it,

I Minato Namikaze officially recognize that Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze is no longer my son and henceforth is no longer associated with the family.

He sent the paperwork downstairs and he just sighed, planning out the future for peace was such a tough job but it was all for the greater good.

Naruto on the other hand? He didn't even bother going back to class he just went home and went to sleep. He felt relieved and he felt something big was coming, so why not?

Naruto could only smile and imagine his life now without the Uzumaki or Namikaze family always hanging over his head and was hoping for a bright future.

In the Capital though, an old man was sitting there smoking his pipe with his eyes furrowing at the sight of the document in his hand from his dear sister.

"What are you playing at sister?"
