Mwahaha, I figured out how I'm finally going to proceed with this story. Fing Uchiha's and being a rather big plot point to the original story. It set up so much ='( Now I can continue writing as I know how the story is going to go while staying as close as possible to the canon timeline so I have a sense of direction while still changing things up in the process.

Also, pay more attention to the explanations in this chapter as even if they are vague at best and not that well done, you might grasp how some changes concerning Naruto might play out in the future. You will just have to think in depth about it. Also, don't get hung up on how the fight plays out, it will be explained why it goes like it does later.

(also realized I'm taking a lot from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid on Nagi's abilities….So slight crossover -_-' )

Chapter 5

'A clone will hold Kakashi for now.' Zabuza thought as he thought about the situation, forming another clone and having it hold the water prison. Zabuza walked forward, standing a couple of feet from Nagi and the two of them got into their fighting stances.

Zabuza held his sword to his left side and down toward the ground. Nagi put her left foot forward, standing in a similar stance to a boxer but it held a different pressure as well as feel to it. Zabuza looked her over and studied her stance as well as going over the information he knew about her.

'Her stance is strong, she has no visible openings. The information I have on her is vague at best but she is a high level all range Taijutsu user. She has made her style into one that was made purely to destroy the body, completely different than one just meant to kill. Her ranged skills are non-elemental shape manipulation techniques as well as a few Futon skills. I'll test the waters.' Zabuza thought to himself while Nagi did the same thing and was going over the things she knew and could see.

'Zabuza is part of the strongest Generation of the Seven swordsmen. His stance shows no openings I can exploit and I doubt his fighting style has any. Master of the Silent killing, artisan in the way of the sword and high level Suiton user. It doesn't matter though.' Nagi thought to herself as she cleared her mind of all excess thought and her eyes lost all signs of personality as they held nothing.

"Mu…" Sasuke muttered but loud enough for everyone to here him and gained stares. Hell even Zabuza was paying attention as the two had there stand off. Noticing the glances, Sasuke decided that it would be better to speak up about it to get them back on task.

"Nagi is able to enter a state of Mu, separating and removing all thought and emotion from her mind and body. This allows her to remove all mental limitations as well as physical, giving her a higher degree of power. Effectively using nothing for something. A state of Mu." Sasuke stated with a calm tone as he knew that Nagi would be able to at least stall Zabuza until Kakashi got out.

"That makes no sense." Tazuna stated getting everyone's opinion out there.

"That's a limited answer to it. Unnecessary thought, unconscious limitations, all of that is removed and all her power can be concentrated. She is able to do it because of her unique upbringing. The only thing going in her head and through her brain is moving, fighting and reacting. To protect all of us." Sasuke stated getting even more looks from them but he just shrugged. He really didn't pay much attention to the explanation.

"Heh, whatever you might do, it wont save you from me Inu." Zabuza said after hearing the strange explanation and concept of it. He charged to which Nagi's guard started to change position before Zabuza slashed down at her in a diagonal strike.

The giant Zanbato was suddenly shot back from striking her as Nagi's arm receding from its former extended position. She had thrown a punch. Zabuza blinked in shock at this as he had seen what had happened but it still confused him.

'She just punched my sword back. SHE PUNCHED MY SWORD? The hell? Who punches a sword?' Zabuza thought as he had missed the finer aspect of what she did. She had hit the sword on the diagonal part of the blade with enough force to send it back and away from her all while staying away from the sharp point she punched near. The precision needed for something like that and to come out without a wound was immense though.

Twisting her hips, stepping in and launching a right hook, Zabuza had just enough time to dodge. It was a good thing he did as the second he jumped to the side, everything was completely torn from the ground like some had clawed it out. He landed and just stared at what he just saw like everyone else was doing but Sasuke.

'The fuck? What are they feeding this kid? I heard stories of her destructive capabilities but this is utterly insane. I cant let a single one of those punches hit me.' Zabuza thought as Nagi appeared in front of him again. Luckily Zabuza was faster and sent a round kick to her temple. He connected with flesh.

The power behind it caused some steam but Nagi was still standing there. When the small amount of steam disappeared, it showed that Nagi had blocked the attack and didn't even seem to care about the pain or if it did any damage. Zabuza moved back again and growled.

He already knew she wasn't at his level but this was utterly strange. Taijutsu was her ball game but he should still be able to have a higher chance in it due to his speed. That turned around wrong as that block showed that she was able to react quickly enough to counter or block. He was skeptical on using his weapon due to how she 'PUNCHED' his sword as a counter and making an opening.

"Your open." Zabuza said appearing behind her. If straight forward didn't work, he would go for the indirect. The clone in front of her disappeared as he slashed out with the intent on tacking her head. She ducked of course and spinning around and grappling his arm, taking him over the shoulder and smashing him into the ground.

Zabuza opened his eyes as he grunted from the pain. How she turned a grappling throw into something that painful he would never know but it wasn't debilitating like her punch would. Speaking of a punch, one was flying straight towards his face right now.

Rolling out of the comet powered fist, he was only seconds away from gaining a hole in his head…. That or completely missing one if the giant explosion of dirt that came after. He was having a hard time reading her attacks. She could go from close range to zero range and back in seconds. It was a feat in and of itself as he knew people who couldn't change distances that fast.

The smoke cleared to reveal Nagi standing in a small crater. It wasn't that big in depth but it was definitely not a gorge like she made before. That however, wasn't his immediate focus as a strange pattern of visible energy swirled behind her and her right hand was extended outwards to the side with her pointer pointing out as well.

"Keitai Henka: Hoshi Ame. (Shape transformation: Star Rain.)" Nagi stated with a cold tone before pointing her hand towards Zabuza. The circulating balls that moved in a strange pattern behind her shot out towards Zabuza to which he dodged while using his sword to cut some of them that followed him.

His eyes widened though as he noticed a majority of them weren't heading for him. After cutting the last one attacking him, he turned around after landing towards where the majority of them were heading. He only saw water explode from a cloud of smoke and dust, most likely from the impact of the chakra blasts.

"Ma, thank you Nagi-chan for freeing me. I will take it from here." Kakashi said lazily as he stood on top of the water looking at Zabuza. The man growled as he realized that Nagi wasn't fighting him totally but leading him around so he wouldn't immediately realize that she was trying to free him.

Life seemed to return to her face and she gave a pleasant smile. "Your welcome Kakashi-sama. Will you be alright on your own?" Nagi asked the man as he had been captured by the man once before. She got an eye smile back at this.

"Of course. I wont let myself be captured twice nor fall for the same attack. Just watch over Sasuke and the others if you don't mind." Kakashi asked as she would do whatever she wanted to. He got a bow back from her and a 'hai' as he went back to finishing what he started, defeating Zabuza.

Time skip

"Were sorry to intrude Tsunami-sama." Nagi said as she, the three Genin and Tazuna sat in the kitchen of the house they were in now. She was bowing to Tsunami to be polite for taking up space in her house. She was back in her maid outfit and her hair had returned to normal. She had taken the opportunity to change after putting the unconscious and exhaust Kakashi in a bed.

The fight had basically gone the way it had gone in canon. Kakashi copied all of Zabuza's movements to get him off his game and to put openings in his defense. A hunter nin had showed up to take the kill and she already knew that the hunter nin was a fake.

Why didn't she say anything about it? She was making sure Sasuke was alright after the tension died down and having to deal with his anger at her showing up. It was also not her mission or priority. She was there to make sure team seven and more importantly, Sasuke were alright and make sure they came back in one piece. Not to take out a missing nin. Kakashi was weakened and not in the best shape after using the Sharingan so it was better to play along then say anything.

"Its fine. You're here to protect my father so the least I can do is provide shelter." She said back to her as Nagi nodded before turning to Sasuke. He was still scowling and seemed anger than before. "Is there a problem Wakasama? Do you need something to eat?"

"Why are you here? Did my brother send you to protect me like always? To make sure I was alright? How many times do I have to tell you that I can take care of myself?" Sasuke basically screamed out at her, losing whatever cool he had. The mere thought of Itachi sending her like always to make sure his baby brother was protected just pissed him off.

"Goshujin-sama was not the one that ordered or rather asked me to come." Nagi explained back to him accordingly. While Itachi might have gave her an outstanding ordered to protect him, she wasn't about to let Sasuke accuse him of being the person to send her here.

"My parents sent you here?" Sasuke seemed affronted by this as they were the only other people that could order her to do… well anything. Did they not trust him or believe in him enough that they would have to send the blonde in to protect him from harm? He was a ninja. He ran the risk of dying yet it felt like everyone was trying to protect him from everything.

"No, Wakasama. The one who asked me to come was Hokage-sama." Nagi stated making everyone in the room confused by this except for Tsunami and Tazuna. Sasuke just stared at her to see if she was lying but that was not high due to the fact that she never really did unless she was ordered to lie.

"Why would Hokage-sama ask for your maid to come help us Sasuke-kun?" The pink haired girl stated and if Nagi remembered well enough, that was the girl named Haruno Sakura. The girl had a major crush over Sasuke but she didn't care. She didn't understand that type of love anyways so it was nothing she could try to dissuade her from going after him. He didn't seem to like her yet she continued to pester him.

"Why is it such a surprise that the Hokage sent her? She seems strong enough." Tazuna asked as he was confused as to what was going on.

"Because the only one she actually listens to is my parents and my brother. They are the only ones that can make her do anything." Sasuke stated which it just went over Tazuna's and Tsunami's heads.

"Why would she only listen to them?" Tsunami asked as she was kind of interested in this as to why the girl was a made and apparently one to Sasuke's family.

"Wakasama's parents and brother are my masters. They will always have the final say on anything I do. Whether if something comes from anyone else even the Hokage. If my masters don't agree to it, I will not do it. Itachi-sama's orders are paramount and if he is not around or orders me to, his parents orders are absolute unless they conflict with Itachi-sama's outstanding orders." Nagi stated with a rather robotic tone to her voice like it was how the world worked.

"But what about what you want? You cant be alright doing everything they order you to do." Tsunami questioned as she had an ill feeling in her stomach when she heard this. Nagi just tilted her head and blinked, obviously confused by the question.

"My needs are not important. Nothing is more important than Goshujin-sama. I do not understand why you are saying that. How could I not be alright doing everything he ordered?" Nagi stated with a confused tone as no one had ever just outright questioned it before about her doing everything ordered of her.

Everyone there stilled at this while Nagi was still confused. They could see openly the effect of whatever happened in her life had on her. To Sasuke though, it just backed up whatever he thought of her now compared to before. A blank person that didn't have any sense of self-worth and who's whole world revolved around one person.

To him, he saw not a person but a tool. Even if his family treated her as family and a sister, she didn't truly understand how to or feel like she did. She was kind, energetic and seemed to bring life to those around her but she was a blank slate.

He knew what happened to her and how his father tried to make her life as normal as possible. Sadly, even with how she was treated in the family, she just didn't have that mentality. She didn't have a sense of self, a personality. All of it was a mask that she wore now. She was still that emotionless maid that he grew up with but she could just portray herself to look like she was normal now.

"That's… that's horrible. How could…" Tsunami just couldn't get it out while Nagi just stared back with that confused look on her face. She didn't think it was horrible. Itachi was a nice person and there was nothing about him that she hated. She didn't mind serving him and there was nothing wrong with any of his orders. Not that she would disobey them even if they were wrong in a moral way.

"I should get started on dinner though. We are freeloaders so I will help around the house. I have more than enough food sealed up to feed everyone for a while. Please take this time to relax Tsunami-sama." Nagi stated doing her best to keep good face for the Uchiha clan. It would be bad to make the Uchiha clan look bad as she would get in trouble. They all just sat or stood there quite as Nagi went into the kitchen to start making dinner. What could they say? They didn't even know what to say.
