CUTSCENE: RETURN TO THE PAST.
Doctor Zelinsky did not regret defecting to the Allied side. He found himself in a comfortable place somewhere in Pentagon. As he read a book during his free time, a sudden burst of light appeared. He was very startled. He knew that the light is an effect of time travel. Was there someone who wants to assassinate him? He tried to reach the alarm button to alert the Pentagon but he stopped when he saw a group of individuals including one who has his own visage. "Me? This can't be!" Doctor Zelinsky can't believe his eyes. "Yes, I am you. I come from the future using a "safer" time machine. I am here to warn you of an imminent alien invasion," the future Dr. Zelinsky then gave his past counterpart an USB flash disk. The past Zelinsky was glad that he was not erased despite his interactions with a time traveller but was worried by the warning. "The drive contains all the data collected during the skirmishes against the alien invaders. This might be humanity's last hope," the future Zelinsky explained as he retreated and vanished along with his escorts in another burst of light. Zelinsky stood aghast as he looked towards the vanishing light, grasping tightly the flash drive given to him by his future self….
In a flash of light, the Commander, Agent Tanya, Lt. Eva and Dr. Zelinsky returned to the present, or what they thought to be. They found themselves at Fort McNair. It seemed everything was pristine as if the invasion never happened though the time machine was there. "Did…. We won?" Dr. Zelinsky asked as peeked outside the MCV's window but when he turned towards the Commander, he got a glimpse of a calendar. "Oh no…" Dr. Zelinsky said in horror as he realized what happened. "Why, Doctor? What's going on?" Lt. Eva asked as everyone in the MCV was puzzled. "The war is just about to begin…." The Professor ominously said as the others turned and realized that they have not returned in the present, but rather found themselves in the very day the aliens have arrived.

Humanity's space assets detected several spaceships coming at near relativistic speeds. Informed a few years ago about the alien invasion, humanity was a bit more prepared. Improved Cryogeddon and Athena satellite cannons turned towards the incoming alien ships and fired at the hostiles, damaging and destroying some of them. However, the aliens retaliated and destroyed each and every attack satellites rotating Earth but were scattered due to the vicious opposition. With the defence systems crippled, some of the surviving aliens made atmospheric entry and began invading Earth but with much more difficulty. New versions of Allied Fighters engaged the Alien Saucers to a stand-still as Transport Saucers were shot down by IFVs. A few Transport Saucers were able to drop troops as they engaged humanity's new power-armoured soldiers. However, the human soldiers were still outmatched (but did better) as hulk-like aliens rampaged. An Allied base known as Fort Windstorm was attacked by a fleet of alien saucers, destroying a few Allied bombers and fighters with their foo fighters but many managed to lift off and retaliated. No sooner, Allied ground forces mobilized. Power-armoured infantries rushed as new tanks rolled out in battle formations, cruising over the desert, while Allied aircraft swarmed the skies and detected an alien Arrival Site in the middle of Arizona desert with gigantic walkers being dropped near it. An Allied fighter aircraft then opened fire with its twin auto-cannons as it blitzed towards the alien base….

NOTES: Well, here it is. The real battle has begun. There will be new as well as returning units in this fanfic and I am actually encouraging you to give ideas of units you want to see here. You can even create and suggest your own units if you like as long as it isn't over-powered and is in-theme with their respective factions (Soviets won't have radiation tech here though).On the other hand, I might implement sub-factions as well as write a list of units under the control of each faction or sub-faction later on. I would also like to attempt to structure this fanfic's chain of events very similar to Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars in order to present differing point of views of the Allied, Soviet, Empire, Hierarchy, Novus and Masari factions in a less biased, more multi-faceted way. Sorry for having this chapter too short. I've been very busy lately for the past few months. Thank you for your reviews and continued support.
