Chapter 10
Callie wakes up the next morning, Arizona naked in her arms using her as a pillow her arm and leg draped over her as if to hold her in place. As Callie lay there she thinks about their conversation and why the hell it took them both so long to admit their feelings when thinking back on it the signs were so obvious. Callie is brought out of her thoughts when she feels the blonde snuggle burying her face into the brunette's chest causing her to tighten her grip.
A few minutes of peace where the only sound is the soft breathing of the woman passed out in her arms. Callie's perfectly happy staying in bed for hours but the overwhelming need to pee is making it very difficult to be comfortable. She carefully extracts herself from under Arizona causing her to groan at the loss of her pillow. A couple minutes later she comes out of the bathroom and notices the blonde has shifted positions, she is now lying on her back blonde hair haloing on her pillow and it needs to be repeated that she is naked with a light sheet covering her body.
Callie walks back to the bed and stares at sleeping beauty for a minute, 'damn she's beautiful'. After taking a minute to appreciate the woman in front of her she pulls the sheet off of Arizona and stared at her still naked body. She starts to smile when she sees she is definitely not awake.

Arizona notices her lover's breathing change she looks up and is met with soulful brown eyes. "Good morning again," she whispers.

"What time is it?" Arizona asks, not moving from her position.
"I don't know and I don't care," Callie answers.
It was only 10:15 and the blonde's plane doesn't leave until 5 so she has plenty of time to spend with Callie. Truth is she's not looking forward to or happy about leaving. Taking a big sniff, "that bacon smells really good."
Chuckling, "I was thinking the same thing about the coffee. Let's go before it's all gone."
They both get dressed in sweats and t shirts then make their way down stairs their best friends are leaning against the counter Teddy's lips connected to the red heads neck. Callie and Arizona look at each other and smirk before the Latina clears her throat causing them to jump apart.
"That wasn't funny," Addie complains.
"Umm yes it was," Arizona says as they walk further into the kitchen grabbing plates and utensils.
Teddy goes back to the stove and continues doing what she was doing before her sexy as hell girlfriend walked into the kitchen. The foursome make small talk while eating, it still amazes Callie how well they all get along. Arizona is gathering her things from the bathroom while Teddy is sprawled across the bed, "oh come on you have to give me something, you can't just say 'we talked' and not give me any details. I'm dying here." She says in frustration.
"I gave you something, I told you we talked what else do you want to know." Arizona comes out of the bathroom and puts her toiletries on the dresser.
"Details squishy come on, stop fucking with me and tell me already you know you want to your practically bursting at the seams."
Arizona starts beaming as she turns to face Teddy who hasn't moved from her stop on the unmade bed. "Callie and I are together."
"Well duh I knew that but what about the long distance thing."
"We're going to see how it goes then next month when I come back for the opening we're going to talk about it and see from there. As Callie says we're taking it one day at a time and who knows I may just move here."
Teddy smiles knowing her friend must really like the brunette, "so both of you are on the same page." Arizona nods while packing. "And you honestly couldn't see that she's crazy about you?"
Taking a deep breath and sitting on the bed, "I don't know Teds I knew in my heart but my head kept coming up with reasons why she wouldn't, it just didn't seem real we had this amazing chemistry from the beginning and I guess I was scared."
"Yea I get that but how do you feel now?" Packing has completely been abandoned.
"Ha…terrified. Starting something new is always scary but we also have the long distance thing to deal with."
"If anyone can make this work it's you, I know how you get when you want something. The risk is so worth it."
"Is that how it felt with Addie?" Sitting on the bed next to her best friend.
"Definitely. I couldn't imagine not being with her, sometimes you just know."
Arizona is lost in her thoughts; although she loved New York and it was always a dream of hers to live there she didn't see it as her home.

Arizona smiles and looks at her best friend, "I'm going to miss you Gumby."

Teddy is more like a sister to the smaller blonde, they have been through a lot together and being apart has really been hard on them both although the taller blonde won't admit it to anyone. Don't compare your situation with mine," Teddy takes a breath before continuing. "I ran, sure I ran towards something but I still ran I left you to handle everything and I know now that wasn't fair to you."
Arizona tries to cut in but Teddy won't let her, "If you decide to move here I know you would have thought of every single thing, you'd make lists and make sure the store and apartment are taken care of. You are the responsible one, this is not a decision you'd make lightly." Teddy looks over at Arizona she's looking at her hands in her lap and she can almost see her brain in overdrive.
Biting the inside of her cheek, "I want this Teds and I'm willing to work for it but what if Callie decides it's too much."
"Do you trust her?"
Laughing lightly, "oddly enough I do."
"Then trust her when she says she wants this, Callie Torres never does anything she doesn't want to do."
"You're right."
"Oh I know," they laugh at Teddy's comment and it earns her a swat on the arm before Arizona lays her head on her shoulder. The pair sits like that for a few minutes.
Arizona is the first to break the silence, "I really should finish packing.'
"Come on get your ass up lets finish so you can spend time with your woman before you leave." Teddy says while getting out of bed.
Arizona rolls her eyes and follows Teddy, the two starts packing up the shorter blonde's things in silence. The blonde is standing in the bathroom with one of Callie's t shirts; she brings the shirt up to her nose and takes a deep breath smelling the scent that is purely Callie, her Calliope. Arizona folds it up and walks to the bedroom where Teds is folding her clothes that are on the bed. They share a small smile and she places the shirt in her suitcase.
Meanwhile downstairs after cleaning up the kitchen Addie and Callie are sitting on the couch facing each other talking, the TV adding background noise.
"So you really had no clue she felt the same way?"
"I won't say I had no clue but there was a part of me that didn't know, it's been a long time since I've felt these feelings I guess I'm a little rusty."
"I get that and it wasn't instantaneous with her as with Arizona she had to grow on you."
Callie chuckles, "you make her sound like mold."
Addie shrugs, "well." She raises an eyebrow and they both laugh.
"Anyway, it doesn't matter that we didn't see how much we both wanted this, the important thing is that we know now and we're going to give this a chance."
"You're really going to do the long distance thing?"
"Yes Addie, she'll be back in a month and then we'll talk about where we go from there."
"Don't get all snippy with me I'm just asking."
"I know sorry, I guess I'm kind of on edge I really don't want her to leave but I know she has to her life is in New York and I can't expect her to move here for me."
"Have you thought about moving to New York?"
"Of course I have but the same reasons she has for not rushing to move here are the same as I have for moving there."
"Which are?" Addie asks taking a sip of coffee from the mug she's been holding since they sat down.
"Well for one we're only known each other for two weeks it would unfair to me and her to rush into a big decision like that."
"I don't really see the logic Teddy did it to be with me."
"I know but she moved knowing Arizona would be there she would take care of the store and the apartment, the only reason she was able to was because she had someone there that would pick up the pieces. Who does she have there now?"
"I didn't really think about that, yea I guess rushing into something wouldn't be good."
"Nope, I'd hate for us to jump too quickly and fall flat on our faces. I mean this whole thing is happening so fast one day I'm sleeping with the resident slut then the next day I'm falling for the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." Addie smiles at the goofy smile on her friends face talking about the blonde.
Teddy walks in the living room and sits behind Addie placing a soft kiss on her shoulder. Addie leans back in to her girlfriend's chest.
"All done?" Callie asks.

Callie can still hear the laughter of the two downstairs when she reaches her bedroom. Not letting go of Arizona's waist, "do we have to get dressed?"

"Well what the hell are you waiting for?" Arizona says getting up and sauntering towards the bathroom.

Arizona and Callie are in the exact same position only Callie is the one on the floor. "I don't know, haven't thought about." She answers not looking up from her Lo Mein. "I'll probably go to the store tomorrow and make sure Alex and April haven't destroyed it." She chuckles.
Teddy laughs, "Yea they can be like tweedledum and tweedledee both fighting to the death for your approval."
"Who are Alex and April?" Callie asks trying to a part of the conversation that she kind of tuned out.
"They're friends but also manage the store together, they can be a handful at times but the most loyal people I know." The brunette nods.
"What do you do for fun?"
"I don't really do much, when Teddy and I first moved there we did all the touristy things. We went out a lot before she moved but now I'm either at the store or home but there are rare nights when I go out with Alex or April."
"Yea Arizona here isn't much of a party animal but when you do get her out she knows how to have fun."
"I remember our first dance together." They all laugh and Arizona blushes.
"Arizona likes to sit in the park she used to drag me a long with her, if the weather is nice you will find blondie over here in a park somewhere."
Arizona shrugs, "what can I say I like the park." At this point she has stopped eating and is now running her fingers through Callie's hair.
Callie has her head on Arizona's leg looking through the TV, "we should visit one weekend,"
She sits straight up and looks at the back of Callie's head and gives it a kiss, "Oh my god yes you should that would be so much fun Teddy and I can show you all around."
Laughing, "We have been there before babe there's really no need."
"Speak for yourself I want the whole tour."
"You got it Addie," Arizona says sticking her tongue out at Teddy who laughs. When the laughter dies down their attention turns back to the soccer game that's playing in some part of the world.
The afternoon goes by quickly; they don't do much just lounging around the house until it's time to leave for the airport. Before they know it it's time to leave, Addie and teddy decide to drive so the other two can cuddle in the back. Arizona has her head on Callie's shoulder while the brunette's cheek is resting on the top of the other woman's head and their hands are intertwined in Callie's lap. The car is silent other than the radio softly playing in the background.
They get to the airport in record time thanks to no traffic. Getting out of the car at the loading zone Callie gets her suitcase from the trunk and starts to walk ahead eventually stopping at the entrance waiting for Arizona to say goodbye to Teddy and Addie.
At the car Addie has Arizona in a tight hug. "I'm not going to say goodbye cause I'll see you in a few weeks but I do want to say thank you for whatever you did cause I feel like I'm getting my best friend back."
Arizona pulls back, "I didn't do anything she's amazing." She smiles and turns to glance at the brunette who's looking right at her with a smile of her own. Turning back to face Addie, "take care of her don't let her hide."
"Don't worry I will."
Looking at Teddy who is standing off to the side looking at her feet. "Take care of that one too she may act all big and bad but she's a sap and she really loves you."
"You don't have to worry about that either, I really love her too."
"Good cause I'd hate to have to hurt you." Arizona says smiling.
Addie starts laughing, "You could try."
"Bye Addie see you in a few weeks." She starts walking towards Teddy, when she gets in front of her the taller blonde looks up at her.
"You know I hate goodbyes squish."
"I know that's why this isn't goodbye its see you later." Arizona grabs her into a hug, "I really like Addie," she whispers in her ear.
"I knew you would and don't worry about Callie ok." Arizona nods into her neck "go before you miss your flight."
Arizona pulls out of her arms and start walking backwards to the entrance, "love you Gumby." She yells with a bright smile, waves at Addie before turning around.
Callie looks at Arizona just studying her face as if to ingrain it in her memory; she grabs her hand with one of her own while the other is rolling her suitcase. Arizona had the smart idea to check in and print her boarding pass the night before so all she has to do is get through security which luckily is isn't very crowded.
Callie walks her to the start of the line, "I guess this is where we part." She looks down at their hands.
"Yea," Arizona whispers.
"Text me when you land." Playing with her fingers.
"I will… yo te echo tanto de menos."
"Yo también hermosa"
"We can do this, it's only a month and you can visit whenever you want and I can come back and visit you. We got this we're badass bitches." Arizona jokes causing both women to burst out laughing.
"That's right babe we're badass bitches." Their laughter dies down and Callie notices the line getting longer, "you really need to get going babe."
Arizona reaches up and plays with a loose lock of wavy brown hair, "take care of yourself and we'll talk every night and we'll see each other when you visit and when I come visit." Arizona's ramble is cut off but Callie's lips being pressed against hers.
As soon as the kiss starts it turns into something more, it's as if they aren't standing in the middle of an airport with thousands of people walking around them. Arizona's tongue slips across Callie's bottom lip asking for entrance which she quickly granted. Callie's hands begin to move up and down the shorter woman's back while Arizona's hand is on the back of the brunette's neck pulling her closer. Exploring each other's mouths they both moan at the contact.
The kiss begins to slow down as Callie lets go of the blonde's back, she cups her face and slightly pulls back. She smiles wide staring deep into ocean blue eyes and says, "I'll see you later babe."
Placing one last soft kiss on her lips, "yea…see you later beautiful." Arizona reluctantly pulls away and immediately feels an enormous loss, she takes Callie's hand and kisses her palm and places it over her heart before grabbing her bag and walking away.
Callie watches as she waits on the line, then goes through security. Once through she sees Arizona turn and give her a smile, a wave and blow a kiss at her which makes her smile before turning to walk to her gate. Once she's out of sight Callie walks back out the airport phone in hand wondering if it's too early to send a text. Deciding not to, she put it back into her pocket before reaching the car.
Addie and Teddy are sitting in the car when Callie comes back out, she gets in and Addie immediately notices the solemn look on the brunette's face. Trying to lighten the mood, "jeez Cal you'll see her in a few weeks and if I know you you'll probably engage in some Skype sex."
Teddy joins in, "yea and knowing Arizona there definitely will be Skype sex." They all laugh; Callie silently hoping what they say is true. Teddy pulls out and they're on their way back to the house.
Chuckling "shut up bitches." Just then Callie's phone vibrates and she sees it's a text from Arizona.

Callie puts her phone away and stares out the window wondering how soon she can take a trip to New York without looking like a desperate stalker.
