Chapter 19

It's been 32 days since Arizona got on a plane to fly back to New York for the last time. She decided that driving was the best option so they could bring all their stuff in one shot. They were keeping the apartment so they didn't need to bring any furniture. Oh did I forget to mention Alex, Jo and April are moving too, that conversation happened pretty much as soon as she got back.

Alex always had a way of reading when something was on her mind and this time was no different. Arizona has no clue why she was so nervous but having them face to face in her office was so nerve wracking she was biting her nails.

"What's wrong with you?" Alex asks and of course April is oblivious.

"Why do you think somethings wrong? I just want to talk to my friends."

"Yeah ok," Alex scoffs.

"Ok fine, so I've decided to move to Florida."

April smiles, "I knew this was coming."

Arizona smiles back at her then looks at Alex who looks like he is about to blow a gasket, "Alex?"

"So that's it you're leaving us just like Teddy did."

Arizona looks at him and can see he's struggling. Alex isn't someone who expresses his feeling often so this was huge.

"Alex I'm not leaving you guys, in fact I have an offer for you…both of you." Looking at April as well.

"Oh yay," April says clapping her hands.

Arizona laughs at her friend's enthusiasm, "Ok like I said I'm moving to Florida but I want to know if you two want to come with me." They're both about to interrupt but she ignores them and continues. "Let me finish then you can ask all the questions you want." They nod.

"Well you both know how I've been feeling since Teddy left. It just doesn't feel right here anymore without her and going to Florida and of course meeting Callie felt right like that is where I'm supposed to be. I've been thinking about it for a while and of course I couldn't leave you two without at least offering, so when we were hiring I told Teddy not to hire for two manager positions and I would like to offer them to you two. I mean if you want them."

Alex is just staring at her like she grew another head, "are you kidding me?"

"No," Arizona answers a little unsure if it's a good or bad thing.

"Well fuck."

April and Arizona laugh, "I can't speak for Mr. eloquent over here but you know you're my only family here, if you leave I'll have no one so I'm down."

"What about Jo? I can't leave her here."

Rolling her eyes, "I know that Alex and I was thinking that she could work in the craft room and she could go back to school and finish her degree. Look I know this is huge but this is totally your choice, I'm not going to force you to come with me."

April has already made up her mind she's going no matter what, she'd follow Arizona into the depths of hell, so she nods and stays silent. Alex on the other hand looks deep in thought, he knew if he made this decision without talking to Jo first she's be pissed.

Of course it didn't take long for him to give her an answer; he called that night asking when they were leaving. The conversation she had with her mom a couple days later went surprisingly well too, she half expected a patented Barbara Robbins lecture but it never came.

She was on the phone with her mom and she was telling her about something that was going on in her sister's life but she tuned it out. She took a deep breath, "MOM!" She yells getting her mother's attention.

"There's no need to yell Arizona Elizabeth."

"I'm sorry mama but I have something to tell you."

"Ok honey go ahead."

"I'm moving," she mumbles barely audible.

"You want to try that again."

Taking a deep breath, "I'm moving."

"And where would you be moving to?

Arizona's trying to gage her mood but can't, "Florida."

"Does this have anything to do with a certain young lady that I had the pleasure of speaking to a few weeks ago?"

The blonde smiles at the thought of her girl, "I'm not moving because of her but she does live there if that's your question."

"Well ok I guess that means your father and I need to meet this woman."

That was it; she expected more of an inquisition. "Wait that's it?"

"What did you expect Arizona?"

"I don't know more questions, the Barbara Robbins what are you doing with your life speech." She said the last part almost afraid of what her mother was going to say, she should have just left it alone.

She can hear the older woman sigh on the phone. "Arizona I have learned that you have grown up to be a very responsible young lady so I know that this decision was made with a great deal of thought."

"It was."

"Ok that's all I need to hear now your father on the other hand will have a few questions for your new girlfriend. You can't hide her forever."

"Ugh I'm not hiding her I'm just enjoying the newness of our relationship."

"You should bring her for a visit soon."

Arizona smiles, "we'll see mama. I should go though I have a lot of things to get done."

"Ok baby girl let us know when you move and the address."

"I will, love you and daddy."

"Love you too." Arizona hangs up with a smile on her face, everything was falling into place.

The past month has been filled with stressing, packing, more stressing, training and more packing. She is now at a place where she didn't feel like her store is going to crumble and fall to pieces the minute she drives out of town. Everything seemed to be going well, she was so happy she found herself smiling for no particular reason. She did miss her girlfriend though and she couldn't wait to get to Miami.

Callie, Teddy and Addie came to visit one weekend with Mia and they had a great time. They took the little girl to see The Lion King on Broadway and to say she was excited would be an understatement. Arizona probably had one of the best weekends spent in the city since Teddy moved, they went shopping and sightseeing. Callie took her to Serendipity which always was her favorite place to go when she visited the city.

While going through the pictures of their trip in her camera she sees a picture of her and the 6 year old covered in flour smiling wide for the camera. She remembers the very serious conversation she had with Mia concerning her favorite Tia that morning.

Arizona and Mia were making breakfast for everyone when the six year old turns to Arizona with a serious expression.

"What's going on mini?" Arizona started calling her mini C or mini because she is the spitting image of her girlfriend.

"Do you love my Tia Zona?"

Arizona smiles at the little girl, "I do."

"Good cause you make her happy and I like it when she's happy. When she's sad I don't see her that much and that makes me sad." She says looking down at her hands.

The blonde hooks her finger under the little ones chin so they're looking at each other. "Hey listen to me I promise you I will do everything in my power to make sure your Tia is happy. But I happen to know a special little girl that makes her happy too." That gets her a smile.

"Now let's get breakfast started before our guests come out all grumpy." They both jump back into making breakfast, the blonde blew flour in the little girls face thus starting the flour fight.

Her phone rings interrupting her little trip down memory lane, looking at it she sees it's her older brother Evan, considering he never calls her she gets nervous as to why he'd be calling now.

She picks up the phone, "hello?"

"Hey Zona."

"Evan, what's going on? You don't usually call me. Are Nicole and the kids ok?"

"No everyone is fine. I'm calling because I want to know if you're coming to Tim's memorial." Hearing her brother's name sends her heart racing.

"Umm I don't know."

"Arizona you haven't been home in almost a year, you barely speak to any of us except mom and dad. You have distanced yourself from the rest of the family. I don't know about Patrick but Danny and Paige miss you."

Hearing her niece and nephews names cause tears to form in her eyes, she has purposely not gone back home since the accident. She just can't seem to get up the courage to go; she's terrified of the memories.

"Can I think about it?"

"That's all I ask, think about it and let me know it's still a few months away but Nicole and I are planning a dinner for the family and we need a head count."

"Ok I'll let you know."

"Don't forget to tell Teddy."

"I won't, give my love to Nicole and the kids." She hangs up before he can say anything else. Going back home after all this time was going to be rough, she hadn't thought about the effect her absence had on her nieces and nephews who she loved more than anything.

Arizona starts to tear up thinking about the last time she was home and how her life has changed in the last year. Before she can get further caught up in her feelings the front door opens and in Jo, Alex and April walk in arguing about something. They are all staying at Arizona's apartment because they are going to leave bright and early in the morning to begin the long ass drive from NYC to Miami. Looking at the three of them fight she has no clue how she's going to survive in an SUV without strangling them.

In Miami, Callie has just gotten off the phone with Arizona when Teddy comes barreling into her house pissed. The brunette watches the woman, who is becoming one of her closest friends, as she huffs and sits in the chair across from her. She doesn't say anything for a few minutes but she can hear Teddy's phone going off in her pocket, which she's ignoring. She knows it could only be two people that could get the blonde this worked up.

Teddy loves her girlfriend she really does the past 6 months have been the best, it's the best relationship she's had but when the red head goes into full on diva mode she just can't take it.

After 10 minutes of silence Teddy starts talking, "your best friend is driving me nuts."

Callie looks at her, "you mean your girlfriend is driving you nuts."

"Oh I see how it is, when she's being annoying she's my girlfriend," Teddy says with a smirk.

"Yep." Callie leaves it at that and goes back to watching CSI (her guilty pleasure) and drinking her beer.

Arizona enlisted Addie's help in moving into and buying whatever furniture she needed for her new condo. The blonde decided to buy a bigger place since her, Alex, Jo and April would be sharing. But they all know she's going to be spending most of her time at Callie's.

"When does your girlfriend get here?"

"Sometime Thursday, they're leaving early tomorrow."

"I can't believe Alex agreed to be stuck in a car with 3 of the crankiest when hungry and tired women I have ever met." Teddy says with a chuckle.

"Well something tells me Alex has his own amount of crank."

Just then Callie's phone starts vibrating on the coffee table, noticing its Addison she looks at Teddy who rolls her eyes and shakes her head. She lets it go to voicemail, "you wanna tell me why I just ignored my best friend."

"Cause she's certifiably nuts, she's driving me crazy with all this stuff for Arizona's condo and when I try to tell her that Miss I have simple tastes and don't need a too big for my dining room chandelier she tells me that I don't know what I'm talking about. Like I haven't been friends with Arizona since we were 10, like I don't know that she's not going to like an area rug with the head of a bear in her living room. Then she tells me I have no taste and that she didn't ask for my opinion but that's the thing Callie she does ask my opinion every single time but has chosen to ignore everything I have said." By the time Teddy finishes her rant she is breathing hard and her cheeks are red.

Callie looks at her and starts laughing. "You two are ridiculous" she says through her laughter.

"Shut up Callie."

Teddy's phone starts to ring again, "answer the damn phone and get the hell out my house."

"Just wait until Arizona gets here and you need a place to hide, don't come running to me." Teddy grumbles as she gets up and heads back to her house.

"I won't," she yells through her laughter.

Callie spent the rest of her night bartending at the club, her and Mark still haven't spoken since she kicked him out of her house. They have kept it professional and that's the way she wants it at least for now. She knows she has to get to the bottom of why he's being an ass but she doesn't want to worry about it right now.

Arizona, April, Jo and Alex hit the road at 4 in the morning and if all goes well they should be arriving in Florida around midnight the next night. The blonde was mega excited she loves road trips, when she was younger her family used to take them all the time and of course Arizona was the only one who really enjoyed them. But here she is 5 hours into the trip and she is reevaluating her decision to voluntarily be stuck in a car with these people. Alex is being annoying, Jo is sulking because her boyfriend is annoying and April is whining about Alex's annoyingness.

They are stopped at a gas station and Arizona is standing away from the car texting Callie.

Would it be wrong if I shoved his ass out the car?

Considering he's driving, yes.

Well you're no fun.

Just get here in one piece babe.

Don't worry if I have to leave them all at the next rest stop I will.

Ok good cause you're the only one I want to see anyway :)

I better be or you're in big trouble

Oh really what kind of trouble

The kind that requires a spanking ;)

Oh Ms. Robbins I might have to hold you to that

Please do

"Arizona get the fuck over here, it's your turn to drive." Alex yells at her from the car.

"There's no need to yell you ass I'm coming." She turns back to her phone to let Callie know and say their goodbyes. The foursome get back on the road and are making good time, they are set to hit Miami on schedule. The three women still want to kill Alex so they all decide to ignore him which is driving him crazy.

Callie is sitting in her living room watching CSI and drinking a beer (again) when her front door opens and slams shut. She is hit with an overwhelming sense of déjà vu until she looks up and sees a blur of red hair fly past her to the kitchen. Callie watches and decides not to engage the beast; this is her favorite episode after all. Addie comes out the kitchen with a glass of wine; she sits on the couch next to Callie and watches TV.

They sit in silence for a good 15 minutes before the red head speaks, "your girlfriend's best friend is getting on my nerves."

Callie rolls her eyes, like seriously these two are annoying the fuck outta me. "Well your girlfriend says the same thing about you."

Addie stares at Callie, "don't look at me like that you two are driving me nuts."

"Well excuse me for thinking my best friend, the person I've gone through everything with would be there in my time of need."

"Really drama queen? Ok fine what did she do?"

"She's not being supportive."

"Addie does this have anything to do with Arizona's condo?" She nods, "ok look you're going way overboard with these decorations."

"Designing," she interrupts.

"Fine designing, my point is you're going too far. Arizona is a very simple person and all the things you have planned are ridiculous."

"How do you know what I have planned?"

"Umm your girlfriend told me a little bit when she stormed over here cause you pissed her off because surprise…YOU WEREN'T LISTENING." She raises her voice on the last part.

"Of course she did," shaking her head before taking a sip of wine.

"You might want to listen to what she has to say she knows her a little better than you, you're not decorating it for you. You're decorating for the simplest most down to earth person I know."

"Ugh I hate you both."

"Cause you know we're right," Callie smiles. "Now can you go home so I can have some peace?"

"Fine," Addie drains her wine glass and puts it on the coffee table before getting up and walking out the same way she walked in.

"You could have at least put your glass in the sink," she yells after her. "I swear I'm gonna start locking the damn door," she says to an empty house.

More hours on the road and a few pits stops later Arizona is pulling up to her condo just before midnight. They all decide to get some sleep before unloading the SUV and trailer. Arizona wants to see Callie but it's getting late and she knows she usually leaves for the club around 1. She sends a text letting her know they made it safely but she's gonna get some sleep. Callie is disappointed but lets it go.

Thirty minutes of tossing and turning later finds Arizona in the SUV driving to Callie's house, it's 12:23 am by the time she's knocking on Callie's door. For some reason she's even more nervous than she was on their first date, she's fidgeting with her fingers debating whether to leave or not when the front door opens and she looks up to see Callie Torres staring back at her.

"Hey so I couldn't sleep cause I really wanted to see you, I know it's late or early but..."

Callie stops the ramble by grabbing her face and kissing her hard on the lips, she runs her tongue along the seam of her lips prompting Arizona to open her mouth. She moans at the feel of her girlfriends tongue touching hers. Callie pulls apart and leans her forehead against Arizona's and looks onto her eyes.

"You're here?" Callie wraps her arms around the shorter woman's waist as Arizona wraps her arms around the taller woman's neck.

"I'm here." Arizona answers with a smile. "Can I come in?

"Oh please do my lady," she says smiling from ear to ear. Not letting go of each other they step inside the house just enough to close the door and before Arizona knows it she's being pressed against the door and her girlfriends lips are once again pressed against hers.

Arizona's hands tangle in brunette curls as the kiss deepens, Callie's strong hands work their way from her ass up her sides and back finally resting on her hip. When they break apart they're standing forehead to forehead looking at each other, their eyes filled with lust.

"I'm glad you're here, I missed you."

"I missed you too."

Looking into each other's eyes, "do you want to go to bed?" Callie licks her girlfriends lip causing her to moan. Callie is a little horny bear at the moment; she is in desperate need of some lovin, she just hoped her girl was in the mood.

Almost sensing her girlfriends need and want Arizona leans in and whispers, "I need you to fuck me," before slipping out of her arms and making her way up the stairs. Callie's legs almost buckle. Once she steadies herself she turns to find the blonde gone. She takes a deep breath trying to get the throbbing between her legs under control before practically sprinting up the stairs.

Callie enters her bedroom to find Arizona lying on her side completely naked and staring at her. Arizona chuckles at the completely dumbfounded expression on her face.

"Are you coming to bed or are you just going to stand there and ogle me?"

Snapping out of her stupor, "I like staring at you but I'm definitely coming to bed." Callie walks towards the bed while taking off her shorts and tank top.

Before either of them knows it Callie is hovering over Arizona taking in every beautiful freckle and line on her face. Arizona's breathing picks up from the intensity of Callie's stare, no words are needed. She leans down and places a soft kiss on Arizona's lips while her right hand pinches her nipple causing the blonde to gasp. She takes this opportunity to slip her tongue into Arizona's open mouth.

As the kiss becomes heated, both women start moving their hips together. They both love the way their bodies respond to each other. The only thing that can be heard in the room is heavy breathing and moaning as they continue to kiss.

Callie pulls back and starts to move down Arizona's body but her movements are stopped by the other woman. She looks into Arizona's eyes and sees a vulnerability she has only seen a few times, she needs her close. Before Callie can do anything Arizona wraps her left leg around the taller woman's hip keeping her in place.

They look into each other's eyes and as if they can read each other's minds their hands move between their bodies, when they each get to the other's core they run one finger through their folds at the same time. The arm Callie is using to hold herself up almost gives out when she feels Arizona's finger on her clit, she's shaking and she knows it isn't going to take long for her to cum and judging by Arizona's reaction she feels the same.

At the same time they enter each other with two fingers. Arizona's head falls back against the pillow and her eyes roll back. Callie leans down and moans into the crook of her neck. They start out slow; making sure the other can feel the drag of their fingers. As Arizona's hips start to pick up speed so do her fingers inside Callie. Callie takes the hint and starts thrusting faster until they're once again in sync. No words are spoken, no words are needed they just feel.

They stroke and thrust in and out of each other for what seems like hours, hitting each other's g spot with every thrust. Both of their walls start to contract and it's getting harder and harder to thrust in and out, they were on the verge of cumming together. Callie is shaking as her orgasm builds and it's only a matter of time before it hit. Beads of sweat are forming on her forehead and it's becoming harder to breathe. Arizona touches her g spot once more and she cums hard, her body shaking and jerking, her head still in the crook of the blondes neck. Feeling the woman on top of her cum and feeling her breath on her neck is too much, it was all Arizona needed for her own orgasm to hit. They lay in each other's arms shaking, their breathing ragged and their heart rates elevated.

When their bodies have calmed down they pull out of each other at the same time and Callie rolls off Arizona and pulls her almost on top of her. She is relishing in the feel of her girlfriend who she has missed more than she can put into words. She can feel the blonde's breathing even out and she knows she has literally passed out.

Callie kisses Arizona's forehead and whispers, "bienvenido a casa Hermosa." She turns out the lamp and lets sleep take over her.
