Chapter 2: SW
I'm back! Normally I never update this quickly, and it might've been a while, but too me this is early! Hope y'all will enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the story.
"You're kidding right?" Danny stood stretching out his back. The blood blossoms did a number on him. It would take him a while to get back his strength. Sam stood next to him, holding onto his arm in case he had a sudden collapse.
"I wish I was. Here's the note." She tried showing it to him, but Danny waved it off. He looked down at himself and whistled. Sam noticed. "What?"
"I'm surprised that I didn't change back. No matter, we need to find a way out. Someway, somehow." Danny quickly grabbed Sam and hauled her behind a tree. He held her as a mob of angry settlers marched by with another witch dummy. Sam would've blushed if it weren't for the fact that they were trapped in another time frame.
Danny gently pushed her back, and summoned his blue rings. They changed him back to normal, revealing his blue eyes and black hair. "We need to blend in. I'm sure jeans and bright colored shirts weren't the norm around here. Especially your crop top." Danny said with smirk. Sam blushed, suddenly conscious of her mid section. She wrapped her arms around her stomach absentmindedly.
"What do you have in mind?" Sam asked. Danny gestured to a boutique, a sign hanged above it saying "Nightingale Clothing." Danny went invisible and taking Sam's hand, he turned her invisible as well. He jutted his chin in the direction of the shop.
They invisibly walked in. They smelled the shop, realizing that it had this old wood smell to it. Sam nearly gagged, which would've revealed their position: invisible or not.
Danny quickly grabbed an arm full of men trousers, shirt, vest, and anything that would look somewhat good together. He walked over with Sam so that she could grab a dress that looked good enough as well. They had to duck around the shelves just so that the store clerk wouldn't see haunted floating clothing.
"Okay change here and then I'll change. Go." Danny shoved her behind a tree. He stood guard as he saw her dark clothing being flung out. He suddenly had a thought that shamed him to the point that he would've never thought he would do it. Blushing he turned the other way, focusing on baseball, Dash punching him, anything but Sam changing her clothes.
When she came out, Danny had to hold back from laughing. The way she looked, and her face was priceless.
Sam seemed to grow older in the dress, unlike her skirt and crop top, she seemed to have aged some years. "Don't say a word." Sam said with a scowl. Danny bit his lip and nodded, forcing himself to keep his laughter down.
"Okay, so now that we have these ridiculous outfits on, what now?" Sam frowned at her outfit one last time before settling to a very defined look. "We have to hold on until Tucker shows up."
Danny frowned. "You think I don't know that? Tucker saved my life and disappeared. I want him back as much as you do. At least we blend." Danny took her hand and pulled her out of the shadows.
Once they emerged into the streets they got no double takes or second looks. Everyone was busy doing something. Sam, unconsciously, wound her arm around Danny's, pulling herself close to his side. Danny felt the same way, and felt grateful for her presence.
"How long can we pull this off Danny? Sooner or later they'll realize that we are not around from here!" The teens began walking into the crowd, hoping to blend in with the second wave of Salem citizens carrying a witch dummy over their heads.
"To death with the demon!" One shouted. Sam gulped. They followed the group to the middle of the town. Many more people gathered around the team, and then a leader stepped into the crowd.
He was tall and lanky. He had dark eyes and a long shaven beard. No matter how ridiculous he looked, he looked ready to take on an army. Even from far away, anyone could tell he was a leader.
He emerged to the middle of the crowd, his hands clasped behind his back. Facing the people of Salem, he cleared his throat. "People of Salem! I know what had happened this morning might be frightening to some of you. But, as you can see, the problem has been resolved for we have eradicated the witch! And it wouldn't have happened if it weren't for you're hard work." The crowd cheered.
Danny frowned. There was something about this man that got him worried. He seemed almost too controlling of the town, as though he had the town in his hands. And to make it worse, he looked really familiar.
"I know the witch dilemma is scary for many of you. We don't know how this started, and we don't know when it will end, but one thing is for sure. We will keep the town safe from those witches that seem to have the city on the end of its fingertips. I assure you, our children will grow to become strong supporters of this town. Thank you." The man walked off, his eyes gleaming and a smirk forming on his lips.
As the crowd cheered the departure of the mayor, Sam led Danny to the back of the crowd. In a hushed voice she asked, "Was it just you or did you think he looked familiar?" Danny nodded.
"I noticed it. I'm not sure whom he looked like. But I have an idea." Danny frowned pulling Sam along with him. "And was it just me or was the mayor looking at us?"
Sam nodded. "He was looking at us. I know he was." As they walked off, someone ran into Danny.
"Sorry!" He said, but the girl he ran into grabbed his arm. Danny looked back alarmed. "I said I was sorry!" When he gave a tug, his hand didn't budge.
"Hey!" Sam looked back as well. She put her hand on the girls and tried prying her fingers off. "Let go!"
The girl finally looked up. Her eyes gleamed wickedly, and almost insanely. She grinned showing off her yellow stained teeth. But what scared them was the fact that she looked directly at Danny.
She pulled on his arm again, forcing Danny to come closer to her face. "You have such pretty eyes." The girl said. "You remind me off the angel that saved me from the scary demon."
Sam frowned. "What scary demon?" The girl pointed in the direction of the mayor leaving.
"Mayor George Masters."
I don't know if that was a cliffhanger, but I'm sure it's close to it! So please review please!
