Chapter 6: SW

It has been over a YEAR since I updated this story! And funny that I came across it one day looking through my stories, and I was like "Um… whoops." So for inspiration I am re- watching some of the Danny Phantom episodes. I apologize for waiting this long to update… and also thank you so much for those who continued to follow/favorite/review this story!

Disclaimer: I don't own the show, just the story… Duh.

Danny wasn't too eager to get back to Sam. At least, not after Annabelle told him about her that and the fact that she went completely demonic on him.

Danny grabbed Annabelle's arms and tied him above her head to her bedpost. She screamed, squirming wildly against his grasps. "It hurts." She hollered after waking up.

After her hands were tied, Danny stepped towards her legs, dodging her flailing feet. "What hurts?" He asked, raising his voice to let her hear over her screaming.

She fought against the restraints, tugging and pulling until her wrists began to go raw. "EVERYWHERE! I can't control it! Hurry, and please, put something in my mouth, I don't want to scream too loud." Danny understood immediately. Screaming would draw more attention to her, and most likely she would be killed instantly. He frantically looked around the room and settled with the wet rag that was next to a bowl of cool water.

"Sorry to have to do this." He pushed the rag into her mouth, and saw her eyes glow wildly before her muffled screams began to fill his ears. It looked like Annabelle no longer existed.

The sun was up now, so Danny decided it was a better idea not to let Sam worry for long. He caught sight of the shed, and Sam's face looking anxiously out the window. The moment her eyes caught him, her face looked both relieved and angry.

Danny dropped through the roof, and landed inside the shed, the bag of food still in his grasps. He dropped them on the table, and turned back. "You were gone for a long time." Sam said, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Just wanted to get some Intel." He replied, avoiding her glare. Sam reached past him and snagged a piece of bread that fell out of the bag.

"Oh yeah? What did you find out?" Her tone indicated that she was suspicious, and wanted to know everything that he found out.

Danny walked over to the bed, and sighed as he fell back against it. He was exhausted, and not because he woke up early, but because he had no idea how to protect Sam. "Nothing much, just that there are a lot of people 'infected' with the witch disease."

Sam bit out a chunk from the bread and looked unconvinced. "That's vague. You seemed to be gone for a while, so… come on, spill."

"Seriously! Well, I overheard about a girl that was probably a witch, the girl that ran into me? I heard her scream, and uh… saw her. I helped tie her up, and-"

Sam's eyes widened. "Whoa, whoa! Wait a second. You tied her up?" Danny flinched, realizing how absurd that must've come out to her. He held up his hands, trying to let her know that there was more to the story.

"Yes… BUT, she told me too. Apparently, tying up witches and gagging them keeps them from the public eye. I don't know. Tying her up would keep her in bed, I guess, and keep her from infecting others." He reasoned. Sam sat in the chair, still munching half- heartedly at her breakfast.

"Okay, sure. But what says that you weren't infected?"

Danny had to admit that was a very valid point. But, he had a huge defense that he only had. "I have ghost powers, Sam. I don't think some witch disease can infect me. There are a lot of benefits of having ghost powers, and well, what can I say? Unfortunately, that doesn't really protect anyone else."

Sam put down the bread, frowning. "What do you mean? Protect anyone else? Danny, you know that the infection that they are talking about it is a complete hoax. It was all psychological, there is no actual disease."

Danny knew that, but he saw, with his own eyes, Annabelle go psycho in front of him. But it was best to not worry Sam, and it was also a good idea to keep an eye on her too. "Yeah, I know. I—I probably just freaked out after seeing the girl."

The two sat in silence, Sam trying to figure out why Danny was so tense, and Danny trying to figure out how to break the news to Sam. "So…" Sam started, trying to break the tension.

"Um… so how about we try to figure out who Mayor Masters is? To me it looks like the demonic persona runs in Vlad's blood." Danny stood, stretching his back; hearing satisfying pops travel down his spine.

Sam seemed to agree, standing up with him and dusting the crumbs from her dress. "Sounds like a plan. But remember, the less we mess with the past the better."

The shadow roared, capturing Vlad's attention. The villain gasped in surprise, his gaze still not recognizing Tucker behind Johnny. He yelped as the shadow drove into him, carrying his body into a huge statue of the Roman god, Jupiter.

"Is that distracting enough?" Johnny asked, grinning proudly at his shadow. Tucker frowned, squinting his eyes to locate the map.

"Yeah that's distracting, but I have no idea where the map is. Vlad probably has it on him somewhere." Tucker watched as the shadow took hold of Plasmius and roared into his face. "And, that isn't exactly debilitating either you know?"

Johnny revved his engine and raced down towards Vlad. Once the bike was well hidden, he let it hover with Tucker still on board. "Stay here, I'll go invisible and see if I can get a look. If I find it, I'll grab it, and well problem solved. If not, you better start thinking of a Plan B." And as promised, Johnny suddenly disappeared in front of Tucker's eyes.

"I won't be going anywhere, and let's hope I don't have to come up with Plan B." He muttered. Tucker yelped as he saw Johnny's shadow rocket past him along with the faint trace of the ecto-blast. "Okay—okay… plan B. Um… god, I wish Sam and Danny were here."

Tucker watched carefully as Plasmius soared into the air, his face contorted in an angry and annoyed expression. "I know you, you pesky shadow. You're Johnny 13's power aren't you? Where's you rider?" Vlad spun around, a smirk forming on his face. "I know you're here, Johnny boy. Your shadow would never leave you without your permission. Come out, come out, wherever you are."

Vlad's hands began to glow purple, his ecto-blast charging in his hands and ready to fire. When he turned back towards the shadow, his cape fluttered, giving Tucker a glimpse of the Infi-Map that was tucked away in Vlad's belt.

Scooting forward in the seat, Tucker put his hands on the handles of the bike and revved the engine, getting a feel for the bike's power. "Hey, Vlad!" He shouted. "Hand over the map, or I'll be forced to take it from you!" He gunned the motorcycle downward, surprised how the bike seemed to be reading his mind.

Plasmius looked up astonished, his face worried that Danny's friend was here. It suddenly went from worried to confused. Where was Danny? And his Goth girlfriend? Vlad swerved at the last second, letting Tucker fly past him. "Tucker… Danny's little friend." He chuckled. "Where is that boy?"

Tucker pulled on the brake handle, turning the bike around. He looked around for Johnny, getting slightly worried. He didn't want to be dealing with an angry Vlad all by himself.

"You left before he and Sam could get out of Salem. I need you to give me that map, Plasmius. I need to get my friends back." Tucker tried. He knew Vlad was power hungry, and very crazy, but he knew Vlad also had a reasonable side. He had a liking for Danny, since Danny was getting to be one of the most powerful ghosts in the Ghost Zone. He was fairly positive that Vlad wouldn't just leave Danny to die in another time period.

But then again, with Danny out of the way, Vlad had no one to stop him from getting all the power that he wanted. And if that meant trashing every known historical relic, so be it.

Plasmius threw his head back and laughed. "Your friends are no matter to me, boy. I do not care what happens to Daniel. I have no intention of heroically rescuing him from that horrid town. Did you know time travels faster in the realms than our reality? For all you know a year could've gone by in Salem. They will die before I even consider handing over the map to you." Plasmius shot a blast and Tucker.

Tucker yelled, shielding his face, when he heard another blast and yell. He opened his eyes to see Johnny in front of him, his left hand glowing with his own ghostly power. "Wail on the kid sure, but don't you dare lay a hand on my bike! Shadow! Attack!" The silent shadow reared into action, going after Vlad's flying body.

Vlad recovered, and reached behind him, pulling the map from his belt. "You, boy, cannot stop me from completing my destiny!" He unraveled the map and let it pull him through another portal into the Ghost Zone.

"Johnny, quick! Get on the bike, we have to follow him!" Tucker cried. Johnny hopped onto his bike, and summoned his shadow, then drove into the new portal.

After reaching the other side, he frowned, folding his arms over his chest and waiting for Tucker to tell him the directions. "That was a mega bust." He murmured.

"Yeah, well, don't remind me. It's harder than you think. Plasmius is scary strong, and with that map he has a lot more power than the three of us combined and probably the rest of the ghosts in the Ghost Zone." Tucker poked at more buttons on his PDA, trying to recalibrate the code to find Vlad.

Johnny rolled his eyes, sighing. "Whatever, it's your fault for just recruiting me in the first place. I mean you do know that I am not a hunter, I just ride around with Kitty or myself." He hinted.

Tucker groaned. "Stupid PDA! And besides, I don't think Skullker would really help out, especially when it has something to do with Danny."

"That's my point, kid. It's Phantom that Skullker has been hunting for months. Get Skullker the incentive to get Phantom." Johnny suggested.

"So you want me to talk to Skullker and get him to help us hunt down Plasmius, which would lead us to Danny, and get Skullker the hunt he wants?" Tucker pieced together.

Johnny started his bike, going in the opposite direction that Plasmius had went. "Basically, yes. And I know where to find him."

The drive to Skullker didn't take long, since Skullker's island was very close to the portal. Johnny parked the bike close to the edge. Tucker got off and began to walk when he realized that his circumstance friend wasn't following him. He turned around, "You aren't coming?"

Johnny smiled and shook his head. "I'll wait for you here, dude. Listen up, Danny Phantom isn't my friend, he's yours. I only suggested Skullker, and since you listened, this is your problem. Not mine."

Tucker frowned, grumbling how Johnny was a punk he wish he didn't have to deal with. He got a nervous feeling that he was being watched. He was just wishing for Skullker to pop out so that he could get this over with.

"Ah, the Ghost Boy's best friend, what a pleasant surprise." Tucker gasped turning around. Skullker towered over him, his arms folded and his face showing off a smirk. "What brings you to my lair?"

"Wait…" Tucker said stopping the hunter. "You know Danny isn't with me?"

Skullker waved him off. "I know all, boy. I am a hunter, and it is my job to know almost everything that evolves around me. And well, I could only since Johnny 13's presence, and well yours as well. Now what is it that you want? I am a very busy ghost."

The ghost looked like he really was busy, so Tucker decided it was in his best interest not to test his patience. "Phantom is trapped in another dimension." Tucker started. "Vlad Plasmius has this map-"

Skullker gasped. "A map? You can't possibly mean the Infi-Map? Vlad Plasmius has the Infi-Map?" His hands clenched, the sound of metal on metal sending shivers down Tucker's back.

"Yes, actually, the Infi-Map. He left Danny in Salem, and I need that map to get him back."

The hunter shrugged. "And this has to do with me, how?"

Tucker decided to play it close to the vest. "Because you're the best hunter in the Ghost Zone! I can't do this, because I'm a wimpy techno geek, and I need you to help me get the map. Plasmius is really getting stronger with each visit he makes."

"Child, you don't need to convince me. I will help you, only because I am indeed the best hunter, and also I've needed a job. It gets quite boring on this island." Skullker said. "Wait here." He flew off and a minute later returned; his body littered with hunting gadgets. "Let's go on a hunt."

Sam walked closely beside Danny, her arm slung through his. "So how exactly are we going to find out about George Masters?"

"Just walk around, and maybe we'll maybe hear something about him." Danny said, shrugging. A man walked out of a store, and stopped, narrowing his eyes at Danny. "Oh no…" Danny whispered under his breath.

Sam looked at the man and then at Danny. "What is it?"

Danny forced on a smile. "I met him this morning. Just let me do the talking, alright?" When he got a nod, he approached the man. "Hello! I—uh—didn't get your name before."

"You're the man from this morning, are you not?" The man put out his hand, greeting Danny with a handshake. "I'm Gregory. Gregory Manson." Sam gasped beside Danny.

He glanced at Sam, warning her to stay quiet. "Uh, pleasure to meet you Mr. Manson. My name is Dann—Daniel. Daniel, uh, Parker." Gregory smiled, and then turned to Sam, tilting his head to the side.

"My, young lady, you look very familiar. Do I know you?" He asked, offering his hand for Sam.

Sam looked at Danny and then her ancestor. "Oh, no… Haha, my name is Samantha…. Parker." She gave Danny a sly look that offered a sincere apology.

"We came together from Pennsylvania, to talk to Mayor Masters, actually." Danny started, quickly filling in the lie with more lies. "Samantha was asleep when I went for a walk this morning, and she hadn't met Richard so I decided to meet him without her."

Gregory smiled, accepting the story. "I see. But, why do you both want to meet our Mayor?" Danny looked over at Sam, stumped for an answer.

"We just moved, and we have for a while since we got married. It has become a habit to ask for the Mayor's blessing for coming into the new town. We only wish to—uh—continue our tradition." She finished, cringing at how bad she lied.

"We just wanted to say our greetings early, since we know as the Mayor he is probably busy for the rest of the day." Danny finished. "Besides, my wife loves getting to know other people around town too."

Gregory grinned. "It is a huge pleasure to have such a wonderful couple come to our town! Sure we are going through a little bit of a problem, but with our fair people, it will be resolved in no time. You see that building over there?" Gregory pointed to a two-story building that waved an American flag outside the door. "That is our town hall. Feel free to walk in, there is a nice lad inside who will just take your name and allow you to speak with the Mayor. Now, if you will please excuse me, I must get home. My wife asked me to bring home the groceries for our neighborhood party this evening, which I do hope to see you both there."

"We'd be honored, Mr. Manson." Danny said with a smile.

Gregory waved his hand. "Please, call me Gregory. Ta-ta for now!"

Danny and Sam waved goodbye and continued towards the town hall. "So we're married now?" Danny asked, his expression slightly annoyed and worried. "A little weird to see two sixteen year olds married, don't you think?"

Sam shook her head. "During this time, girls got married young, so did the guys. This isn't anything new to most people here. Besides, is sharing vows with me a problem with you?" She flashed him her smile, which fluttered Danny's heart.

"I didn't say that, did I? I'm just saying; I was a little surprised when called yourself Parker too." Danny smiled, drawing Sam closer to him. He noticed Sam blush, and felt pleased to see how it affected her. "How about instead of signing in, we pay a little invisible visit to the Mayor?"

Sam gave him a small smile, clearly agreeing with the idea. "I was hoping you'd say that." She wrapped her arms around his torso as he went invisible and floated them both towards the town hall.

So I hope that was good! It will take me a while to get back into writing, because I have definitely not written for the Danny Phantom FanFic for quite a while. But let's hope that I don't leave another year gap between each chapter! And if I do, please do remind me!

Thanks for reading, and please review!
