Chase's POV
I transformed myself into Caleb, and snuck behind Cathy as she entered her room. When she went to shut the door, she jumped back. "Oh, hey."
She said as I stepped around her. "What's wrong?"
"Have you seen Pogue?" I asked, knowing she hadn't. I looked her up and down, and had to resist my need to have her. She wouldn't let Caleb touch her like she let me.
"No, but I called him and told him about Kate." She raised her eyebrow at me.
"Well how is she?"
"Not so good, but they'll call me if there are any changes." Cathy sighed as she sat next to me. "Caleb, I need to talk to you."
"What about?" I asked hesitantly.
"Look, you're a great guys, and someone would be lucky to have you, but my heart belongs to someone else."
"Cat-"
There was a knock at the door that interrupted me, and Cathy jumped up to get it. "That might be Pogue." I knew it wasn't. It was Caleb. He had a knack for showing up at the wrong time.
When Cathy opened the door to find Caleb, she looked surprised. "Pogue's been in an accident." He said. She stepped out of the way to show Caleb me, and I smiled as I let my true self show. Before I went to put Cathy under a spell, the look I saw on her face crushed me. She looked so broken and upset, and I had done that to her. If I were honest with myself, this hurt me too.
Caleb went to charge at me. "Stop right there." I said as I let Cathy's body form beside me. "Close the door." Caleb did so as I laid beside Cathy. I wrapped arm around her. "Let's just keep this between the sons of Ipswich." I hated what I was going to do next, but I had to as I put the curse on Cathy.
"Don't hurt her." Caleb pleaded. "She has nothing to do with this."
"Whether she lives or dies is completely up to you my friend." I knew I was going to let her live though. I was going to wipe every bad memory she had of me, and I was going to make sure we lived happily ever after, far away from Ipswich.

Cathy's POV
I woke up confused. Caleb was walking over to my bed. "What happened?"
"You passed out when I told you." Caleb looked spooked. I felt like he was lying.
"Told me what?" I had seem to forgotten a lot. I didn't even remember Caleb in my room.
"Pogue's been in an accident." He said. That didn't seem like something that would make me pass out.
"Well, is he okay?"
"He's in the hospital. Do you want to go with me?" Caleb seemed on edge and it was worrying me.
"No, I'll stay here if you don't mind." I said with a small smile.
"I think you should go with me." Caleb said sternly. The way he said it frightened me and reminded me of Tim.
"I'll stay here Danvers." I stood my ground as Caleb got up and walked out the door.
Lying back down I tried to focus on what really happened. I know I didn't pass out just because Pogue got in an accident.
I racked my brain so hard that it hurt, and then it hit me like a freight train. Seeing Caleb turn into Chase. The pain that I had been going through, and I could hear Chase and Caleb fight and argue. I had been nothing more than a pawn in Chase's plan. It was that moment my entire heart shattered.
Everything had to have been scripted. It all made sense now. Nothing was truly real. Were my feelings for him even real? Or did he just put me under some sort of spell?
I fell to the ground and let the sobs rock my body. Every tear was more painful than the last. Nothing was ever going to be normal. No one was ever going to love me.
"You weren't under a spell." I jumped as I heard Chase speak behind me. Quickly I jumped up and turned to face him. "I do care for you."
"Save it Collins." I snapped. "You pushed me to Caleb so that you could use me as leverage over him." I tried to stay strong as my voice cracked. "I fucking love you Chase, and you-"
Chase cut me off by wrapping his hand around my throat. I didn't even see him move towards me so it caught me off guard. "Don't say anything else." His voice was cracking just like mine had moments ago. He seemed as broken as me. "You don't understand these powers Cat. They're addicting, and I need more." His grip tightened on my throat and I was struggling to breathe.
"Chase." I choked out as I started seeing spots. Chase dropped me, as if he snapped out of his trance.
"I'm sorry." He started to pace. "I can't help it. I can't control it. I like to use." Chase scooped me up with his arms and sat me on his lap. To say I was terrified was an understatement, but I couldn't make a wrong move here. "This entire week I've had to fight my urges to use my magic because of you. I've been so torn on choosing between the magic and you. I love you, so much, but it's just so hard for me." He stroked the side of my face gently. "I need more magic baby. I just wish you could understand that."
I didn't know how to approach this. Chase was finally telling me everything, but I didn't know whether to believe it or not. Either way he was going crazy. "Chase, let me help you get over this addiction. Please, we can do it together."
Chase gave me the saddest smile I've ever seen. "It's not that easy." He spoke softly.
"It won't be easy, no." I said, wrapping my arms around his shoulders, he rested his head on my chest. "Please, Chase, let me help you. Don't go through with tomorrow night. I know that sounds crazy to you, but let me help you. Think of what we could have."
"I have." He said softly. "I've thought about everything we could have, and that's why I need to do this even more." His voice was so scary that it causes an involuntary shiver from me.
"Chase..." I felt him tighten his arms around me.
"You smell so good." Chase said as he slowly ran his hand up my leg. "This dress is amazing on you too." I let out a moan as he rubbed my clit. "You know it'd look better on the floor." Suddenly I was naked on Chase's lap. I should have been madder he was using magic on me, but his assault on my clit was clouding my head. His mouth attacked my left nipple.
"Chase." I moaned out. "Please."
I felt Chase smirk against my skin. He repositioned us so that he was laying on top of me. His clothes were still on though and it felt unfair. I slipped my hand into the waistline of his jeans and started stroking his dick. His attack never wavering on my clit. I could hear his breathing get heavy though. "Fuck." He said as he made his clothes disappear.
I moved Chase's hand as I positioned him at my entrance. He looked into my eyes as he entered me. It was slow and gentle at first. Each thrust started getting harder and harder, but he was still going at a slow pace. "Chase." I said looking deep into his eyes. "Please."
"Please what baby?" He bit my lip.
If I was going to get him to promise me anything, this was the way to do it. "Please choose me." I moaned as I tightened around him. "Please choose this."
Chase stopped moving, and looked me in the eye. "Cat..."
I bucked against him, making sure that I kept causing friction. My movement caused his eyes to roll in the back of his head. "Just think about it." I kept my movements up. "Decide if it's worth losing this." I said before closing my eyes so I could focus on every stroke, and every wave of pleasure that was flowing through me as my orgasm built up inside the pit of my stomach.
"Fuck." I heard Chase say right before my orgasm hit me. I could tell his hit him too.
Chase's body went limp as he collapsed on me. He had his face in the crook of my neck, leaving his right hand on my hip as he stroked the left side of my body gently with his fingertips. Each movement caused another shiver down my spine. "I'm so sorry Cathy." He whispered in my ear.
"Not as sorry as I am." Tears came down my face. No matter what I said or did, Chase made up his mind. He was completely addicted to this power he had. It was like heroine.
He must have felt the tears because he lifted his head to look at me. "Please don't cry." Wiping away my tears, Chase left soft kisses in their place.
"I can't help it." I choked out. "I'm like a walking curse. Something's always wrong with the men I love."
"Cathy, this isn't your fault." He tried to reassure me. What an epic fail on his part.
Gently I pushed him off me. "I need to go." I said getting dressed.
"Where exactly do you plan on going?" Chase seemed panicked.
"Home." I went to grab my jacket, but Chase stopped me.
"I can't let you do that. You need to be there tomorrow for Caleb." This had to be a joke.
"Caleb and I are nothing Chase. Why don't you get that? I don't need to have any part in this!"
"He cares for you. I'm going to use that against him."
I felt like my heart had been ripped from my chest for the hundredth time this week. "Haven't you learned that caring for someone doesn't always mean you'll put your life on the line for them? Look at you. You supposedly love me so much, but are going to use me, and harm me for magic that's just going to make you sicker! I've read the books Chase, and you're just killing yourself faster. It's your body that's getting weak, not these stupid fucking powers." I pushed away from him.
"If I just had more power I wouldn't be as sick though. Don't you see that?"
"No! Don't you see that your logic here is twisted?!" I was losing it. "God Chase I love you SO fucking much. Why can't you see that I'd do anything to help you through this?! You can't fucking add on to your powers, because you're too addicted to the ones you have now! Don't you want a future? A wife? Kids maybe? Why fucking risk all that for this magic?!"
"Because I have to!" He yelled back. "I can't help it Cathy. You don't understand the feelings that come with not using magic. There's an itch there that had to be scratched. It fucking kills me not to use. I need his magic! I need is power. I need it!"
"You're not using me to get it!" I said turning away from him.
"I'm sorry for this Cathy." He said right before everything went dark.
