It was the next day and Ulrich was up and ready to go for the day earlier than ever.

Odd grumbled sleepily, "Why are you awake so early?"

"Odd, I had another dream about Yumi, something's not right. And I'm determined to find out."

"How do you know something's wrong, Ulrich? What does the dream have to do with that?"

"I've had a dream about her 3 times this week Odd, that's not normal for me. And every time she always seems to be in distress or upset. I need to figure out what's going on."

"You're just dreaming about her because you miss her, you're jealous."

Ulrich set out into the campus, searching constantly for Yumi. 10 minutes goes by and there's no sign of her, when all of the sudden he catches a glimpse of her. Out of the corner of his eyes he sees Yumi and William walking hand in hand. He pays attention to all the details of her face, and she looks tired and scared. He moves his eyes down to their hands and notices the veins on Williams hands are sicking out, as if he's holding her hand too tight.

He decides to follow them, but keeps a good distance so he isn't discovered. It appears that they're walking to Williams first class of the day. Once they reach the door, Ulrich hides behind the pillar so he can listen to their conversation.

"You better be here when I get out of class," Williams growls at Yumi, "You don't wanna face the consequences."

Yumi's constantly looking over her shoulder, making sure no one's within earshot.

"Okay, William, I'll be here.." Yumi says shakily.

Ulrich can barely look at Yumi, she looks so pale and tense, so unlike herself. She always used to carry herself in such a strong and determined way.

He wants to burst out from behind the pillar and kick Williams teeth in, but he resists the urge. If he did that, he'd get suspended for sure, and he can't afford to miss class. His father would kill him if he missed any more classes.

Ulrich waits for Williams to completely enter class, and as soon as he sees Yumi walk past him, he follows her from a good distance. He needs to contact her in some way, she's not heading to her house yet, so he's got time.

He runs back to his dorm and sits at his desk and begins to write a letter to Yumi.

"Dear Yumi," he says to begin the letter.
