Chapter 17

Sam is sitting at the computer in Silas' study. After going through the list of people that could have written the letter and coming up short, she was baffled. Silas has been pacing throughout the room, making Sam nervous at times. "Why would someone do this? I don't have anybody that I've pissed off in the past couple of days." Silas says. "You sure it isn't the past couple of hours?" Sam jokes. "Funny, but seriously. I've been through the list of potential people." "Not everyone…" Sam says nervously. "Well then, who else?" "Well, there is one person…" "Who?" "You might want to sit down for this one." Sam starts as she motions him to sit down.

"The other night I had a dream, well…the more I think about it, it was vision." Sam pauses. "Ok…and?" "I was visited by a person. Someone that I never thought I would meet because she's dead." "Not following." Silas says confused. "Let me finish. In my dream I was visited by…Livvie." Sam mumbled as Silas looks at her. There was an awkward silence followed by "Sam what the hell?" "Hear me out Silas. She apparently came to me to warn you, me and Rafe." "There isn't any way that any of this could be true." "I'm not done. She pulls me into this room with a bunch of screens…" "The control room…" Silas whispers. "Yea and she told me…wait, how did you know about that?" Sam asked interrupting herself. "I'll explain later. Keep going." Silas says walking towards the window. "Anyways, she tells me to be careful because…" She sighs before continuing. "Because you brother is back and coming to Port Charles." Sam spats.

Silas continues to look out the window in silence. Between the shock of what he just heard and his own thoughts he was at a loss for words. "Silas…Silas say something." "My brother is dead. This is no way in hell that this is true." "But think about it. Why would I have a dream about a woman I have never met, who looks just like me, which I need an explanation for, and she tell me that Stephen is here." Sam explains. "I can't. But all I know is that like I said, Stephen is dead. He was killed by a cop with two witnesses, one of them being you." Silas states in a low tone. "He was a federal agent and Lucy is certifiable at best." "Your point?" Silas asks, anger building. "My point is, it makes sense." "No it doesn't. Who is C?" Silas says trying to ignore the obvious. Sam shoots him a look. "Hello? Does the name Caleb ring a bell?" Sam states as Silas slams his fist against the wall, making Sam flinch. "Samantha…I put my brother behind me for a reason. I don't want to bring him up again!" "But Si…" "Samantha, let it go. Silas says as he leaves out the room.

*Silas*

Silas lying in bed looking up at the ceiling. Everybody has fallen asleep. Sam went to the house and got clothes for everybody so they could stay together for the night. She knew leaving the house wasn't going down because Rafe was going to have a cow. Silas didn't mind having them stay. In fact, he enjoyed it. Rafe and Danny were asleep in their room and Sam was in his arms soundly sleeping. The only thing ruining this moment was that god forsaken letter looming over his thoughts and what Sam said earlier. He never got around to explaining to Sam why Livvie looks so much like her. He wanted to but he didn't feel like talking about so Sam left it alone. Surprisingly. Sam snuggles into Silas' chest which broke his thoughts. He looks down at her and smiles. "Don't worry Samantha, no matter whoever this person is I'm going to protect you and the kids. I will give my life to keep us safe." Silas kisses the top of her head and soon falls asleep.

"Silas! Silas wake up!" Silas wakes up to a fogged lit room. He squints and looks around. "Silas!" "Samantha what's wrong?" "I'm not Sam. It's me." Livvie appears. "What are you doing here? Where is Samantha?" "Sam is fine. She is still in bed asleep. Did she tell you what I said." "She did and I looked at her like she had lost it." Silas says sitting up. "But it's true. Caleb told me that he was…" "Save it Livvie. I don't want to hear anything about him." Silas says cutting Livvie off. "Silas, I'm just trying to protect you. Protect everyone!" "From nothing! He's not here. He's not coming back! Whatever is going on is probably some freaky coincidence." Silas voices starts to rise. "Silas, why would I waste all this time and energy to do all this only to be lying?" Livvie snaps. "I don't know. I feel like my past is haunting me for a reason." 'Because he's living up to his promise! This is his promise to you when you put him in that nut house!" "That nut house was supposed to help him get over you killing yourself." Silas fumed. "Are you saying all this is my fault?" Livvie asked. "No that's not what I was about to say." "Didn't sound like it to me…" a voice says.

Everyone looks up and sees Stephen standing in the distance. "Not this again." Silas says in shock. "And a fine how do you do to you to brother." Stephen says as he walks towards Livvie. "Why am I here? I need to get back to Sam." "Don't fret, you will be back to her soon." Livvie says. "Why did you bring Silas here Olivia?" "No reason. I just wanted to see him that's all…" Livvie says as Stephen caresses her face. "Oh Olivia…I wish you wouldn't lie to me so much. It becomes very annoying and detrimental." "What can you do? You can't kill me. I'm already dead, remember?." "Shut up. It's not you I'm concerned about right now." Stephen says turning his attention to Silas. "What do you want from me Steve? I don't have time for your silly little mind games." Silas says annoyed. "Awwww, but the fun has just begun Si. You think that last meltdown you had was epic. You haven't seen anything yet." Stephen laughs. "Caleb, don't do this. There is no point to this. You're dead. There is nothing that can change that." Livvie pleads, trying to ration with him. "That's where you are wrong. There is a point to all of this….and everyone with soon find out. Stay tuned." Stephen says walking away. "You stay away from them!" Silas yells as Stephen stops. He turns and looks at Silas with glowing eyes. "You will pay for your transgressions. I will come for you and when I do, there is no devil in hell can stop me." Stephen laughs eerily.

"NO!" Silas says as he jumps up. "Silas, what the hell?" Sam sits up as Silas breathes heavily. He looks around to find himself back in his room. "Another nightmare?" "Yea…." "About?" Sam asks as Silas looks at her. He didn't want to believe everything that she had said earlier but after that dream , it was starting to makes more sense. "It's nothing Samantha. Don't worry about it." Silas says laying back down. " It has to be something, you woke up in a cold sweat." Sam states laying back on his chest. "I'm alright. Go back to sleep baby." Silas says as he kisses her. She soon falls asleep. Silas laid there, holding her tight. He dreaded whatever was about to happen. But he knew as long as she was safe, that's all that mattered. He fell asleep listening to Sam's light snoring.
