Chapter 19
"What's the matter, you act as if you've seen a ghost." Stephen quips. "Nope….this can't be happening. I'm dreaming." Silas says as he goes back to his desk and puts his head down. "What are you doing?" Stephen says with a confused look. "I'm going back to sleep. Because you are a figment of my tormented imagination and you're not real." Stephen walks over to him and peers over his shoulder. Silas raises his head and looks around only to see him above him. "Hi." "What the hell is going on? You're supposed to be dead! Three people saw you die!" Silas exclaims as he starts backing away. "Grossly exaggerated. And plus the intrepid lieutenant kind of didn't do a great job." Stephen sneers as he sits as Silas' desk. "He's a federal agent." "Potato, Potahto. Who gives a shit? Actually he looks strangely like us. You sure daddy dearest didn't have any illegitimate children that we don't know about?" Stephen questions sarcastically. "Do you count?" Silas retorts back as Stephen glares. "I have the feeling I'm not wanted here at the moment." "All with good reason." Silas says as he reaches for his cell phone. Stephen gets up in flash and is in front of Silas.
"I wouldn't make any sudden movements if I were you…" Stephen says grabbing his hand. "Like hell. I'm calling the police." "You think they're going to believe you? I'm dead remember? They're going to think you done flipped your lid." Stephen laughs as he takes Silas' phone and throws it. "You see, what's about to happen here is you're coming with me. We're going for a little ride." "To where?" Silas questions. "Always with the questions, Si. Just follow me." "And if I don't?" "Well, I think I might have to pay another visit to a very gorgeous Samantha Morgan…" Stephen laughs as Silas shoots him an icy look. "What do you mean another…?" "I had a pleasant visit with her today. Posing as you. She still looks and feels the same…" "You son of a bitch!" Silas says shoving him. "And those lips of hers…they still taste the same. Warm, luscious…" Stephen says as Silas punches him. Stephen rubs his cheek. "Oh did I forget to mention that little Danny is still as precious as the first time I held him." Silas dives for him.
"You stay away from Samantha and Danny!" Silas yells as he flails his brother with punches. Stephen grabs him and sends him into the desk. Silas coughs as he tries to stand up. Stephen takes him by the shirt and pushes him into the wall. "Just like old times huh Si? Except I'm not the same little Stephen you used to push around." "And I'm not the same old Silas that actually put up with your ass." Silas says as Stephen pins him by his neck. "Keep talking. And I promise you, you will not make it back to Samantha tonight. Now you do as I say and you will see your precious Sam and Danny again." Stephen says as Silas struggles for air. Silas nods as Stephen lets him go. "Why you always got to be so difficult? Now me and you are leaving and heading somewhere. Comprende?" Stephen says as Silas looks at him and nods, coughing. Stephen heads to the phone and dials a number. "Yes Epiphany? I'm leaving for the day. Hold all my calls for me please will you? Thanks." Stephen hangs up. "Now that's taken care of, let's roll." Stephen says as he puts on his sunglasses and they leave.
"Where are you taking me?" Silas questions as they are riding down the road. "Where else? Your house." Stephen says. "Ok you're going to my house at 7 something in the even….HOLY SHIT!" Silas says as he grabs for the wheel. "What the hell are you doing?!" "You're not going to my house!" Stephen elbows him in the nose. "Why not? I have to see my son." "You're not going anywhere near Rafe!" Silas yells as he dives for the wheel again. They start swerving as they struggle over the wheel. "Silas let go or we are going to crash!" "Turn this car around!" They keep struggling as they run off the road and into the woods. The car flips once before rolling to a complete stop in an opening in the woods.
