Author's Note: Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone is well. In lieu of current storylines and the untimely demise of Silas, I've decided to keep this story going in his honor.-xoxoxoSheri

Chapter 26

*Stephen and Rafe*

After Stephen has finished showing Rafe around he takes him into the kitchen. "Are you hungry kiddo?" "Not really. I cooked for Molly and me." Rafe says sitting down. "Really? What was on the menu?" Stephen asks while he pours Rafe something to drink. "Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, asparagus with rolls. Something mama taught me how to make when I was younger." "Breaking out the good stuff, nice" "Yea I just wanted to make her smile ya know. She was really down about the fight she had with T.J." "Well you know, don't get in the middle of them. Let them figure this out. That way you won't get blamed if or when they break up." Stephen says sitting down beside him. "I know. Hey can I ask you something?" "Anything Rafe. Name it?" Rafe hesitates before he begins. "Can you tell me about Livvie? I mean what was she like? All mama would tell me was at one point in time they were friends and then they had a falling out but they had started to mend fences before she left. I don't think she ever knew that Livvie killed herself." Stephen sighs and looks at Rafe. "I'm sorry…you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." "No Rafe, it's not that. It's still a touchy subject but you should know." Stephen looks at the picture of Livvie on the wall.

"Where to begin? When I met Livvie I was in a bad way. Everything seemed to be going wrong and I just couldn't get it right. So one night I was playing this gig here in Port Charles and there she was. A vision in blue. She had come with some friends. I couldn't even think let alone move when I saw her. My band mates had to snap me out of it. So we started playing but the whole time I would look up to see what she was doing. She looked down and kind of out it. I think her friends just took her there to cheer her up. She tried to force a smile but I think it was too much for her and she ended up leaving, more like running out, the club. Later on I was walking in the park trying to clear my head because I couldn't get her out of it. I kept walking and I happen to run into her sitting on a bench. She was crying her eyes out. I asked if she was ok and offered a shoulder. That's where it all started. Livvie was a very fragile person. She had been through a lot as a child. Her mother was killed and she was raised by her aunt her she thought was her mother. Her aunt is now in a mental institution. But underneath all that hard mess and issues, she was a gentle soul. When she loved, she loved hard. That's what attracted me to her. The way she loved me. It was unconditional; nothing or nobody could tell her anything. Not even my sensitive brother. I was hers and she was mine. We had the world. Then it all fell apart. Everything was going wrong. We were fighting and she would always call my brother. Damage Control Si. He would come and try to fix everything. It always pissed me off. How she called him for every little thing. You didn't know this but before I met Livvie she had actually dated Silas. We were on such bad terms I didn't even know. But she would lean on him for everything and anything. So I started drinking to numb the pain. That didn't help. It didn't help that Livvie was wishing for things to happen and what not. That's how I met your mother. One night of indiscretion with Allison while I was on tour. She found out, called Silas to get him to talk some sense into me before I went back on tour. "You can't handle it again! You need to stay home so we can handle this." She screamed at me. "I got this. Ya'll don't worry about me. Who knew that would be the last time I saw her alive." Stephen says on the verge of tears. "So what happened when you found her dad?" Rafe asks, afraid of what he just said and the consequences that would happen. Stephen just looks at him. Rafe gets up slowly.

"How did figure it out Rafe?" Stephen asks lowly. Rafe stares at him. "Answer the question!" Stephen growls. "I figured it out when you were talking to the picture of Livvie…you're alive?" Rafe answers shakily. Stephen walks up to the glass on the table. "You're very inquisitive. Just like your sainted mother. I should have taken you when you were younger when I had the chance." Stephen says as he crushes the glass in his hand. Rafe's eyes grown bigger in size as he runs down to where Danny was sleeping. He tries to wake Danny up before Stephen comes. "Where do you think you're going?" "How can you be alive? That cop killed you. You can't be standing in front of me right now." Rafe says blocking Danny's crib. "Greatly exaggerated. Nothing can kill me Rafe. You should know this by now." Stephen says walking towards him. "What do want from me?" "I just want to get to know you Rafe. I just want my family with you and Olivia…" "You mean Sam? That's what you're back here for, huh? Sam, Danny and me?" "I don't want to hurt neither one of you. I just want my family back." Stephen says. "I've got to get out of here. I've got to get me and Danny out of here." Rafe says as he picks Danny out of his crib. He starts to leave but Stephen blocks his path. "Now pray tell, just how are you going to leave? You have no license; you don't even know how to get back to the main road." "All I know is that I need to get to Sam! To warn her!" Rafe says backing away. "Oh she knows alright." "What's that supposed to mean?" "Just put Danny down. You don't want an innocent child apart of this." Rafe pauses for a moment before he puts Danny back in the crib. Once he gets Danny settled Stephen grabs him. "Let me go! Get off me!" Rafe wrestles with him. "No, my son…you're not going anywhere. I'm never letting you go." Stephen says as he takes out a syringe. "NO!" Rafe screams as he pushes Stephen away from him and runs. He starts running towards any door he can find. He tries all the doors but Stephen has locked them in the villa. Rafe starts backing away but backs into his father. "Please Stephen…don't do this. It doesn't have to be like this. I'll go with you. Just leave Sam and Danny out of this." "I can't do that Rafe…I have to have my Olivia again" Stephen says backing him into a wall. "But she's not Livvie! She will never replace her." Stephen laughs then pins him to the wall. "You've been listening to Silas too much. She will be my Olivia; nobody can take her away from me again. Now as for you…" Stephen says as he injects Rafe with a sedative. He goes limp in his arms. "You will learn Rafe…you will learn never to cross me." Stephen says as he takes Rafe upstairs.
