Chapter 28

Silas goes towards the room but Sam stops him. "Silas don't do it. This can only end in bloodshed and tears." "No Sam, he's obviously done something to you. And I'm going to find out." Silas says adamantly. "Well if you're going to do this, we're going together." Sam says as she heads for the door. "No way Sam, you're staying out here." Silas says pulling her back. "Like hell Silas! You're not going in there alone." "Think about it, we both go in there, he sees the both of ya'll dressed alike. He's going to know something is up and we're all in hot water." Silas says. "Well ok then, we need to find me a dress or something that would make me look like Livvie since she's supposed to be me." Sam says as they go looking. They run into what looks like a bedroom. "Oh wow…this used to be Livvie's private room. She would always be in here when my brother went out of town." Silas says looking around. "Why is that?" "She always said she didn't like being in their bedroom when he's not there. It just reminds her that he isn't there." "Ok then there should be something in here that she used to wear." Sam says opening a closet. "She's got a weird taste in clothes…their dated." "Remember, technically Livvie "died" in 2003. It's been over a decade ago. You probably dressed like that in the early 2000's." Silas says laughing. "You wished you saw how I dressed in the early 2000's." Sam says sarcastically. "Yeah, you got a point there." Silas says as Sam picks out an outfit and puts it on. "What about now? Do you think I can pull Livvie out my ass?" Sam questions as she spins around. "Hold on…" Silas says as he gets Livvie's brush and starts to brush her hair. "Hey, you're messing up my bangs." "Well, they can't be like that or he'll know it's you." Silas says as Sam snatches the brush from him. Sam goes in the mirror and brushes her hair. She turns around and stuns Silas. "Wow…now you really look like Livvie. Weird" Silas says as Sam walks up to him. "Come on Si." Sam says grabbing his hand. "Ok Olivia." He laughs as Sam shoots him a look.

They get back to the room where Stephen and Livvie are. They are sitting on the balcony looking into the night sky. "This is all I need right here. I have my beautiful wife, our sons. I am whole again." Stephen sighs. "I'm glad that you are as happy as I am." Livvie says. "SAM! SAMANTHA! Where are you?" Silas yells as they enter the room. Livvie jumps up and run to the door of the balcony. "Silas? What are you doing here?" "Sam! Are you okay? Where are the kids?" "I'm fine. The kids are in the other room. They are okay." Livvie says as Sam goes into the room. "Why are you here? You are interrupting a private moment." Stephen says finally walking into the room. "You bastard!" Silas yells as he punches Stephen. "How could you just take Rafe out the damn house like that?!" "Well, he is my son Silas. Or did you forget that tidbit of pertinent information?" Stephen says. "Not by choice." "Olivia, what are you doing here with him?" "I came to make sure the kids are alright." Sam says. "You actually think I would hurt my own kids. I'm offended." "No, you'll do anything to stick it to Silas. Even if that means using Sam to do it." "Silas is irrelevant in this whole thing. Except for the fact that he's what standing in between Samantha and mine happiness." "You really think Sam would be happy with you? With you constantly comparing her to Livvie." Silas says matter-of-factly. "Why would I compare the two? They act the same except when it comes to having a moral fiber, that's the one thing Samantha, has that Olivia doesn't." Stephen says as both women back up a little. "As you have witnessed countless times before Si, Olivia acts on impulsions. She goes off her own feelings without thinking of the consequences." "Not this again…" Livvie whispers to herself. "As for Samantha, she rationalizes everything. She thinks before she acts. She takes in consideration the feelings of everything and everyone before she does anything." Stephen says as Sam just stares at him. "Samantha is everything Olivia is not and so much more." Stephen says as Livvie fumes. "Sam…get the kids out of here. I have a feeling that things are about to get real sketchy." Silas whispers to Sam as she slowly backs into the room. "Must you go through my faults Caleb? Must you keep reminding me that I was never good enough for you?!" Livvie says lowly. Stephen turns around and looks at Livvie as Silas stares wide-eyed. "Bravo Olivia, I was wondering when you were going to reveal yourself." Stephen says as Silas starts to back out the room also. "Admit it Caleb, I was just something to give a sense of normalcy huh? Something to make you think you won't fucking crazy!" Livvie yells. Stephen laughs then slowly walks up to her. "But I'm right though. You don't think about anybody else." "That's where you're wrong Caleb." Livvie says as she stares Stephen in the eyes. "What did I tell you about going against me Olivia, this will not bode well for you." "What are going to do? You can't kill me. I'm already dead remember? I had to get away from you so bad that I couldn't think of anyway else. Come to think about it, I should have went back to Silas. He was always better than you." Livvie says as Stephen grabs her. "…take that back…" "I never loved you! You made me sick! I was glad to be free of you!" Livvie screams as Stephen throws her against the wall. "You will pay dearly Olivia. I have a special treat for you." Stephen says as he pins her to the wall. "Caleb! Let me down! Shit!" Livvie yells as she writhes against the wall. Stephen runs into the room where the kids were to find they are gone. "Damn it!" Stephen exclaims and runs out the room.
