"why did you do it?"

"Does it matter? Its in the past."

"For you maybe."

"After all these years you still doubt me?" Hans' green eyes bored into hers. "Your brothers will inherit the throne after you would die, not me."

"You could still change the law."

"I don't CARE about it anymore!" burst Hans out. "What can I ever do to prove it?!" His voice broke, like ice in the summer. Only silence was his answer. "They are here aren't they?" spoke Hans as he took in Merida's face. He actually didn't need to ask – he could feel people's emotions as if they were his own. Hans laughed bitterly. "Of all the people who I thought could never be persuaded by anyone…"

"I did NOT let mee head turned by those wee lambs!" burst Merida out like a vulcano spilling over.

"Didn't you? Because what you said earlier, is something that Elsa would ask, not you." bit Hans back. "Have you gone so soft that- mmmh!" Hans lost all speech when Merida kissed him. "Wha-"

"Thank you"

"What now?" Asked Hans confused as he saw the girl completely calm in a blink of an eye.

"For letting me stay the way I am" grinned Merida.

Hans narrowed his eyes. "This was all a test to see if I would ask you to change?!" another thought struck the prince's mind. "Wait… Anna and Elsa aren't here as well?"

"Oh they were here, aaricht." Rolled Merida her eyes. "Demanded me ' the jobby* of the southern isles" back to their prison. I told them not to stick their noses in aneither's business and get their arses out of my kingdom."

Hans roared from laughter. "Did I ever tell you I love your way of diplomacy?"

"You could mention it more" grinned Merida back.
