Hello, I am sorry for not updating in such a long time. I have been busy and did not find the time to update. This year has been really hectic, so thank you for your patience and waiting on the story. Okay, let's get back to the story, shall we?
I looked myself in the mirror for the nth time, "Do you think this will do?" I ask Satsuki as I turn around to check out my outfit.
Satsuki looked at me and rolled her eyes, "You are fine. You look good and cute. Don't be surprised if guys come up to you and ask for your number." She winks at me and starts to apply a fresh coat of mascara.
I keep looking at her and then back at the mirror. This wasn't me, I never went out. I told mom about the Party and the only thing she told me was, "Misaki, go and have fun. Don't have tooo much fun, but enjoy and be careful."
It's okay, my friends will be there, so no biggie. Since I already had done my make-up, which was just mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss, I sat on the couch waiting for Satsuki. Suddenly a image of the Alien flashed in front of me and I violently shook my head, erasing the image. What? I thought confused, why him?
"How do I look?" I suddenly hear my roommate and see her stand in front of me, thanking her silently for distracting me from thinking again of the said person.
She was wearing a nice dress with high heels and a black jacket. She looked stunning. Now I wondered if I should have worn a dress too. I shook my head and frowned, I don't like to wear dresses. I decided to wear casual skinny jeans, a white shirt, and a black jacket. It was comfy and not bad looking and Satsuki already said I looked good.
"You look beautiful." I quickly reply, as she was still looking at me and was waiting for my reply. "Ready to go?" I ask and get up, walking to the shoe stand to wear flats.
"Eh, No!" Satsuki says and takes away my shoes from me. "What?" I look confused at her and then cross my arms. "Can I please have my shoes?"
Satsuki looks at me and with a smile shakes her head. "No, you are going to wear high heels." She says and hands me a pair. "But-" I begin and she frowns at me. "No But's, wear!" She demands and puts them down in front of me.
I sigh and do as I am told, "Now can we go?" I ask again. She opens the door and waits for me outside, "Just waiting on you." She says and starts to walk.
I quickly lock the door behind me and walk as fast as I can with the heels on to catch up with Satsuki.
"Where are the others?" I ask as we get out of the apartment and wait for a cab. "Remember they said they will meet us there?" She says and raises a hand to call out for a cab.
"Oh." I nod my head and couple seconds later we see a Taxi come to a halt in front of us.
Satsuki gets in first and I follow her, "Where to, Ladies?" The guy asks her and looks back at us.
Satsuki gives him the address and soon the car starts and we start to have a small conversation about what we should do next weekend and when I am moving back into the apartment.
We arrived at our destination in 25 minutes and pay for the cab and found the House where the party was. Music could be heard clearly coming from the house and people were walking in and out. "Come on." Satsuki nudged me forward and we made our way to the house.
Satsuki rang the bell and we waited couple seconds before the door swung open and the music got louder. "Satsukiiii!" The girl who opened the door called out her name in excitement and pulled her into a hug. "Long time no see, my friend." The girl says as she moves back, stumbling a little. Yep, she was drunk.
"Hey, Mina. I know. How have you been?" Satsuki smiles at the girl named Mina. "Fine, Fine. Come on in." She gestures us to follow her and we entered the house.
There were a lot of people, more than I expected. People were dancing, talking, drinking, laughing, and having a good time. Even though the music was too loud for my taste, I ignored it and tried to have fun.
I suddenly felt a hand holding onto mine and looked up to see Satsuki smiling. "Don't want you to get lost." She smiles and helped me guide through the crowd into the kitchen where Erika, Honoka, Subaru, and the other girls were already getting drinks.
"About time!" Honoka shouts over the loud music and hands each one of us drinks. I nodded my head, saying thanks, as I did not want to shout in order for her to hear me.
I did not like to get drunk, so I just kept holding onto the drink, taking small sips at a time. Very small sips. Soon I was introduced to people and got to know some of the girls friends.
"Come on, Misaki." I heard Erika pull on my elbow to guide me to the dance floor. I shook my head and kept saying "No." Erika looked at me with a straight face, "Why?" She asked. "Cause I don't dance." I explained. She looked at me once more, before she shrugged and grabbed the nearest person and started dancing.
I smiled at her and started to look around the place. A bookshelf catches my attention and while looking, I think of the Alien again. "Not much of a Party Animal?" I jumped at the sudden disruption and turn around to look into a pair of gray eyes.
"Oh, eh no." I shook my head and turned my attention back to the books I was looking at a few minutes ago.
"Sorry for disturbing you. Hi, I am Naoya Shirokawa." The guy smiled at me and extended his hand.
I gave him a small smile and shook his hand, "Misaki Ayuzawa" I say and look at him. He isn't bad looking, he had a nice smile and light blond hair.
"So Misakiā¦" He begins and looks at the bookshelf. "Are you new here? I have never seen you here before." He asks and looks at the Books, showing clearly that he is forcing himself to look at them.
I smile to myself. "Yep, new here. I mean I moved couple months ago, but still new." I say and we start to have a casual conversation.
After talking for couple minutes he told me to call him Shiroyan, instead of Naoya. I also found out that he knew Satsuki from their mutual friend Mina. He seemed a nice guy and his jokes were somewhat funny.
We kept talking and talking, not thinking of the Alien again, which was not a bad thing. I did not realizing what time it was and looked around and realized a lot of people had left and it was already late. "I probably should go now." I said and checked my watch, showing it's midnight.
"Can I drop you off?" Shiroyan suddenly asked and looked nervously around. "I actually came with my roommate." I said and pointed at Satsuki's direction who was coming our way with a big smile. "Of course you can drop her off." She answered, clearly hearing our conversation. I look at her with wide eyes. "It's okay Miaski, I know Shiroyan. He is a nice guy." She smiled. "But, what about you?" I asked her. "Aren't you coming with me?"
Satsuki shook her head, "I am going to spend the night here. Mina and I haven't seen each other for a long time and she begged me to stay. I am glad Shiroyan offered to drop you off, this way I won't have to worry and feel guilty of letting you go home by yourself."
I looked at Satsuki and then at Shiroyan and sighed, "Fine." I said and stood up, too tired to think or come up with something. "See you in the morning then or noon." Satsuki smiled and already took off to find her friend.
"You aren't drunk? Are you?" I asked Shiroyan cautiously and made my way to the door.
"No, I had a drink couple hours ago. Only one, since I knew I was going to drive." He says and opens the door for me.
We walk in silence to his car and he opens the passenger door for me. "Thank you" I say politely and start to buckle up, as he walks around the car to take his seat and starts the car.
We drive in silence when I realize that I did not tell him where I live. "How do you know where to go?" I ask
"Remember I am friends with Satsuki, I know where she lives." He chuckles and turns on the radio. "Oh, yeah. Sorry." I say and look out the window again. Why is it so awkward now? I wonder.
Soon he pulls up by the curb and parks the car. "Thank you for dropping me off." I say and open the door quickly. "Goodnight." I say and move towards the apartment.
"Hey Misaki." Shiroyan suddenly calls out and I turn around. "Yeah?"
"Uhm, do you want to meet again?" He asks nervously. I think about it and give him a grin, "Sure, when?" I say
He looks surprised at me as if he thought I was going to reject him. "Why don't you give me your number and we can talk about it tomorrow?" he suggests.
"Sounds good to me." I walked over to him and give him my number. We say goodnight to each other and leave.
On my way to the elevator I realized what just happened. This was not me, I did not give guys I just met my number. But, he seemed a nice guy. Maybe making another friend was not a bad thing and Satsuki knew him and she would not send me home with a guy she did not trust.
I shrugged and opened the door to the apartment, "Eh, let's see." I tell myself and take off my shoes, making my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
I will try to update soon, but can't promise. I am in the process of moving into an apartment and stuff. Sorry if it will take time again. Let me know how it was Thank you. :)
