~ Flash Forward ~
As Cora stood on the top of the mountain with Hawkeye and Chingachook, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the area they were in, her heart was mixed with numerous emotions - relief but also sadness and grief. In the time after leaving the cave with Alice and being dragged by Magua and his men to Sachem, Cora ha to literally witness her sister, her youngest sister Alice, leaping off the cliff to her death, to join the one whom she (Alice) had loved and had cared for - Uncas. All in a period of twenty-four hours, she had lost three of the most closest ones whom she loved ~ her father, Duncan and now Alice.
As she took her place beside Hawkeye, in his arms, she glanced over at Hawkeye's father, Chingachook, she could see the pain and grief of losing his son all over his face. Tears filled Cora's eyes for so many reasons, one reason was for the grief that she felt for the ones whom she loved who didn't get the chance to survive to see the beauty that was sitting in front of her, Hawkeye and Chingachook, those ones were her father, Duncan, Alice...and Natalia. Her tears were also for Chingachook, a man who now seemed filled with his grief, filled with the sorrow of knowing that now that Uncas was gone, after his (Chingachook's) time on Earth was done, there would be no more left like him. The grief of what they all lost would stay with them forever...
