Chapter 15: Can I get your number?
Chapter Summary: They dated? They watched a movie and she thought everything would be fine… not until…
'I wonder if he knows it… that his roommate is a real girl.'
Time seemed to stop… at least in her own world. The blue-haired guy with blue eyes, which were staring intensely at her own hazel eyes, and whom she heard and rumored from the people and his team, the Child of God, was actually said those words to her.
Was she found out?
That was the question she kept remembering inside her brain whenever someone she thought her identity was revealed. And everytime that happened, her heart seemed never ceased panicking.
Fuji found her secret but luckily he kept her secret, much to her relief. Unfortunately, being the tensai, of course there should be a bargain to that. He had asked her for a date in order to keep her identity a secret. Well, the date didn't involve any romantic atmosphere. It was just him for the sake of fun. He loved seeing interesting things after all.
The ever so energetic slash opposite of Ryoma Echizen, Kintarou Touyama also guessed the same thing. Though the boy didn't take it seriously, much to her relief… again, he decided to pursue her, both of her, both Cherry and Sakuno. He wanted to court the two of her. That was utterly ridiculous and she didn't know how to deal with his hyperactivities. She was thankful at least, Kintarou might have been believed that she was actually a girl for real but the boy didn't know it deep inside him. She was safe because of the boy's naivety.
His team called him the devil and ace and if she wasn't mistaken, his teammate called him seaweed head once or twice. She was scared the first time she met him in the eye and even scarier when he confronted her after their play last month. He accused her of being a girl once again which was true anyway. Only he mistook it for acting. She sweat dropped when she realized that. Kirihara Akaya thought that she was just acting as a girl and she made him believe that she was really good at acting as a girl. The boy even asked for an advice on how to act one, which she gave the best she could. For the third time, she felt relieved because of that.
But now, she didn't know about this one. Yukimura Seiichi was standing in front of her, saying that she was a girl. From the look of his eyes, she knew that he wasn't bluffing. He wasn't joking and especially he wasn't acting.
The child of God knew her secret and she didn't know how to react to that.
"I…I—I," Her eyes moved elsewhere. The sound around her was blocked by her thoughts but she knew that she could hear them. She wasn't paying attention to the sound of victory, "A-anou…"
"How did you do it?" Yukimura said leaning over to her, "To get inside to this school?"
"I… I didn't do anything." She was able to answer him.
"Really?" He smiled deviously, "This is an all boy's school you know. It's impossible for you not to do anything."
Sakuno didn't know how red her face was. He was pretty close to her and she almost cursed her face for betraying herself like that. She really wanted to push him away from her but she didn't know if that was the right thing to do.
She was screaming 'HELP ME' in her head hoping that someone could hear her telepathically.
"You are scaring the poor boy."
Both of them looked at the last person who talked. She felt that her heart was revived once again when the tensai suddenly showed up in front of them;
…So much for the telepathy. She should do that more often.
"F-Fuji-senpai!" She pushed him away, way too gently and walked closer to Fuji. Peeking a glance at the tensai, she saw him smiling but his eyes were still closed. Despite the closed eyes, she knew that the smile he was giving to the 'Child of God' had a different meaning.
"Fuji-san, I've been wondering why you're here while the rest of the team is celebrating on stage." Yukimura said giving the same expression to the tensai.
"I should be asking you the same thing," The tensai replied, "Considering that you are our valuable guest in the academy."
"I just found," Yukimura said walking closer to them, "something interesting."
Sakuno hid herself further to Fuji's back but she never tore her gaze away from Yukimura, "I… I don't know what you are talking about."
"You do know," Yukimura leaned closer to her making her eyes wide and blush at the same time, "Cherry-chan."
"You are scaring the poor guy," Fuji said catching his attention, grabbing his arm in the process, "Leave him alone."
Yukimura looked at Fuji and smiled back at him, "I am not scaring him… or her," He leaned closer to him this time, "This is really interesting, don't you think so?"
Fuji, who didn't even move away from his location, nodded smiling in the process, "Saa, I wonder about that."
If it wasn't for the tense, she would think that scene was really funny. Fuji and Yukimura's faces were really close to each other. It was like they were about to kiss. The former liked to lean closer and she didn't know why. The thought brought her face to blush even more. Her real identity was at stake and she had the guts to think silly things like that.
"Ah! There you are!"
The three of them looked at the last person who talked. Eiji spotted them and he's with the rest of the team. Eiji walked closer and looked alternatively at them.
"Why are you guys here in front of the comfort room? And why are the two of you are close to each other?" Eiji asked as he then looked at Fuji and Yukimura. He blinked first before his expression was slowly changing into a shock one, "C-could it be?"
Fuji and Yukimura looked at each other and started to move away. Fuji knew what his friend was going to say but before he could stop him, he beat him to it.
"Y-you are lovers!"
"E-eh?" Sakuno sweat dropped when she heard that from the acrobatic player.
"Senpai! Just what are you saying?" Horio said trying to reach for his arm, "T-that's not true, is it?"
"You looked like one to me," Eiji said as he moved closer to his best friend, "You almost kissed there if I didn't call you."
"A-anou, senpai—"
"Saa… too bad we didn't." Fuji said tagging along with the line.
"We're sorry," Eiji said bringing his hands together, "But I don't mind you two," Eiji grabbed Ryoma at the same time, "Ochibi here and Cherry-chan have suitors, guy suitors to be exact."
"Wait, I thought Fuji is dating Cherry-chan?" Horio said as Sakuno shook her head as she looked away. Ryoma was trying to remove himself from Eiji's grip. The acrobatic player seemed to realize that, reacted a little delayed.
"Ah! That's not good," He finally let go of Ryoma and pointed a finger at Fuji, "Fujiko-chan! You are two-timing them. How dare you cheat with our Cherry-chan here!"
"Interesting, You are dating Cherry-chan." Yukimura looked at Fuji and then to Sakuno.
"Wait! Are you two really dating?" Eiji asked the two smiling buddies.
Yukimura faced him this time, "Well, what do you think?"
"A-anou…"
Momoshiro butted in who couldn't keep silent all the time, "You have to choose one, Fuji-senpai. Cherry-chan or Yukimura-san!"
"Yeah!" Horio agreed nodding at his senpai, "Don't cheat with the two of them."
Sakuno watched them helplessly. Just where did the revealing identity go to? How come it ended Fuji cheating on her and Yukimura?
"This is ridiculous." Ryoma muttered that only she could hear. She knew that Ryoma wasn't really believing all the rumors about her and Fuji so there was no way he would believe about Fuji and Yukimura.
"Buchou!"
Someone called once again and they looked where the voice came from. A tall guy with a hat was running towards them. He looked stoic and strict, he's a bit different than their captain. Sakuno thought that he was the guy not to mess up with.
"Sanada," Yukimura faced the newcomer, "You were looking for me?"
"Of course, I've been looking for you," Sanada said nodding to the others, "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I am having an interesting conversation here."
"Like having Fuji as his boyfriend." Momoshiro said facing Sanada.
"Huh?" Sanada raised an eyebrow.
"Like Fuji cheating on our Cherry-chan here." Eiji caught up.
"What?"
"Like how the two of them became lovers."
"Like the two of them almost kissed."
"Like th—"
"TARUNDOROU!"
All of them stopped speaking at the same time. They waited for the vice Captain of the Rikkaidai to speak. Sanada then fixed his hat and turned to his captain.
"What's all the fuss?" Sanada asked who was slowly calming down.
Yukimura shrugged as answer, "You heard them."
"Are you really dating Fuji-san?"
"What do you think?"
"Yukimura." Sanada said but knowing that he wouldn't get an answer from him, he faced the others, "That's not true. I'll speak for him."
"E~" Eiji reacted which was followed by Horio, "Can't believe it."
"See, I told you it's interesting," Yukimura looked at Fuji and then to Sakuno who was now hiding behind Ryoma's back, "Don't you think?"
Sanada bowed at him and then to Yukimura, "Let's go and meet the others." Yukimura just nodded at him before he gave one last look at Sakuno.
His stare was intimidating her. It was still a wonder he didn't reveal her identity to the people around them. Maybe he was really looking for entertainment.
That he really thought that finding her real gender was interesting.
"Ah yeah," Eiji said before turning to Sakuno and hugged her without warning, "We won!"
She blushed due to the closeness. Seriously, she wasn't used of being hugged like that. Her clothes weren't helping her because she was dressed as a girl, "I… I kind of heard that."
"And Echizen here," Momoshiro said grabbing him in the process, "will take you on a date."
"D-date! / Deeto janai." Sakuno and Ryoma exclaimed at the same time. The latter continued speaking, "It's just us going to the movie."
"That's still a date," Eiji said pushing them away from the comfort room area, "Now move along and prepare for it."
Sakuno, no matter what she did, their senpais weren't going to listen to her. She kept telling them that they were both 'guys' and there was no way that they would go on a date alone. It wasn't going to happen any time… believing them of course.
They ended up separating from the rest after the celebration. Sakuno and Ryoma went straight to their room to avoid additional commotion. Ryoma announced that he would go to the movie with her so no wonder that the other would want to get the end of it. She collapsed to her bed and stared at the ceiling;
"Really, Ryoma-kun. Why me?"
"Why not?" He asked back.
"People will keep talking about us," She answered as she was still looking at the ceiling, "They will misunderstood… about us."
"…"
"I am already being misunderstood and I have a girlfriend to worry about."
"Then I won't invite you."
"Eh?" That caught her attention. She sat up and looked at where he was sitting, "Really?"
"I'll invite Ryuzaki Sakuno instead."
Only to be dumbfounded. Her eyes widened and she couldn't react right away but she immediately recovered and replied, "W-why?"
"Uh, because she is a girl?" He replied stating the obvious.
"But Ryoma-kun—"
"You will see her tomorrow, right?"
"Well, yes, but—"
"Then tell her I'll be waiting tomorrow in the theater at 1pm" He said before lying down on his bed… his back was on her.
She was still speechless after he set the date between him and her 'sister'. She didn't even have the time to say anything and the boy had just turned his back on her. Sighing, she went back lying on her bed and sort things out for tomorrow.
"And tell her not to be late."
Didn't really need to look at him, she knew that he said that without moving. She covered her whole body with the blanket to hide her expression and blushed, "Mou! I get it."
Unbeknownst to her, Ryoma was just smirking at the triumph he was feeling. He found the girl really interesting and no wonder and wanted to have a little fun with her. Not really expecting and admitting it, he couldn't wait for their 'date' tomorrow.
The Next Day:
Everyone went on their usual activity the next day. They were really busy about going home and would be back after the start of the last event of the month. Even the three schools which the school's guests were allowed to go on the last month but the rest decided to stay so that they wouldn't miss everything on the last one.
"Bishounen-chan!"
Automactically, Sakuno hid herself behind Ryoma. She hadn't recovered from the hyper Shitenhouji's rookie's confession to her to other day. Now that he was approaching, she didn't know what to do with him.
"Is it true that you are going on a date with koshimae?" Kintarou said when he approached them… in front of Ryoma actually.
"That's true." Ryoma answered before she could even say anything.
"Ryoma-kun!" She exclaimed. Yesterday he was just denying the fact that it was a date to their senpai and now he was saying the opposite to the guy. She just couldn't read the boy at all.
"Ah! I'll go with you then."
"You can't."
"Why not?" Kintarou asked leaning closer to his so-called rival, "You can't just date him alone. I am courting him too."
"You are not a part of the prize."
"What! That's totally unfair!"
"That's not unfair, Tooyama-kun," Fuji said walking along with the other teams; Shitenhouji and Fudomine, "Echizen won a prize and he would be sharing it with Cherry-chan."
"He's right," Shiraishi said agreeing to the tensai, "It's the prize why they are going to see a movie."
"But I want to go!" Kintarou said acting like a spoiled child once again.
"You cannot go, Kin-chan." Shiraishi said with a warning in his voice.
As Sakuno observed, Kintarou seemed not to bother listening to anyone. Shiraishi had even warned him with his bandage but it was no to avail. Kintarou seemed to forget what he was scared for when it came to her. His stubbornness continued surfacing when someone suddenly caught their attention.
"This is an order."
Everyone looked at the last person talked. Eiji was standing not far from them. Despite the height, he was holding a cane with his right hand and wearing an… eyepatch. Momoshiro was just standing behind him and wearing all black suit. Eiji spoke with authoritative voice and removed his eyepatch for the effect.
"Sebastian, Take the boy away from the area."
Momoshiro walked in front of Eiji and bowed with so much manner to him, "Yes, my lord."
In an instant, Momoshiro flicked his fingers as soon as he turned around to face Kintarou. Not a minute passed, Horio, Katsuo and Kachiro surrounded the hyper boy and grabbed him with both arms.
"You are coming with us, sir." Kachiro said smiling dubious at him.
"Wha—what are you doing?" Kintarou tried to let go from their grip but they seemed to be preapared for him. Momoshiro walked closer to him making him stop from moving.
"What about we tour you around ourselves then?" Momoshiro said smiling deviously at him.
With that, Kintarou was out in the picture and would be taken somewhere. Fuji and Shiraishi looked at each other and shrugged afterwards. Ryoma, Sakuno and the rest of the team sweat dropped. Eiji grinned at them and spoke in a noble way.
"Well, I took care of the nuisance. You guys enjoy the date."
Even after the scene they made, she couldn't take away the belief that was in their mind. Knowing that she wouldn't win against them, she just let it go.
And then, her 'date' with Ryoma would come later. She hoped that everything would be fine.
1Pm:
Being forced to go out by Tomoka, she was on her way to meet Ryoma as Cherry's 'sister'. She was on her usual get up, the Sakuno way. For once, she felt happy to be back to herself again. How she missed herself right now.
Ryoma was already in their meeting place when she arrived, "G-gomen Ryoma-kun. I am—"
"Late. I know," He completed making her pout in the process, "I even told your brother not to be."
"W-well, you both surprised me," She said as she looked away, blushing in the process, "I've never known that I would go out with you until a few hours ago."
"Like brother and sister." He murmured as he turned away.
"Did you say something, Ryoma-kun?"
Instead of saying something, he started to walk away from her, "Ikou."
"W-where are we going?"
"Your brother should have told you," Ryoma said looking at her, "Let's watch a movie."
Her pout almost returned when Ryoma answered almost mockingly. Was he making fun of her? Ryoma was unbelievingly in the mood today. They were going to watch a movie, the thing that she would never expect of him to do.

There were lots of choices to choose from. The tickets were available for any movie they wished to watch. That was the advantage about the tickets. Ryoma let her choose what movie they wanted to watch. She scanned the movie list and pointed out what interested her;
"What about Insurgent? I heard it was a great watch."
"Too many actions. Not interested." He lamely said.
"Rurouni Krenshin? This was popular these days."
"Too boyish and too bloody actions." He answered negatively.
"Okay then… what about The Mortal Instruments? I've read the book and it was amazing." She felt excited when she explained that to him.
"Too mysterious and you already read the book. You already knew the scenes."
"The School for Good and Evil? Not too boyish, bloody. Not too many actions.?" She suggested.
He raised an eyebrow uncharacteristically, "Are you reading the list? That hasn't even made yet."
She frowned when he answered that. Really, he was telling her to choose but everytime she suggested a movie, he was rejecting it.
"Cinderella?"
"Are you kidding me?" Ryoma looked at her frowning in the process.
"But you were denying every movie I told you," Sakuno said almost frustrated at him. He was definitely having fun at this. She scanned another movie from the list and she just blurted out the name that she could register to her brain, "What about White Chicks? You can pick next if you don't want it."
Ryoma looked at the movie she said. She thought that he would reject the last one and really, she would let him pick for a movie if he rejected the last one. To her surprise, he actually didn't. instead, a smirk was formed to his lips and looked at her;
"That's perfect."

if the chair could swallow a person, she wished that she would have been the one to be swallowed at that time. The movie was really interesting and it was funny. It would suit for Ryoma's taste. She wasn't against anything about the movie except… well, it was a genderbending movie.
Two guys were pretending to be girls.
She wasn't against about the genre but she felt that Ryoma knew the movie all along. That the reason he chose the movie was he knew that it was somehow related to her. She was disguising as a boy in their school. The boys in the movie were pretending to be girls. It wasn't different from her own. She hoped that she wouldn't intimidate him… about the movie. She tried to concentrate watching the movie.
…Which she found interesting to watch after all.

He couldn't stop smirking at that moment when he saw the girl's reaction. It wasn't a coincidence that he knew the movie… he had just read the plot before he met her a while ago. Actually, he let the girl choose what movie they should watch. It was not a wonder why he knew the genres of each movie she mentioned earlier. He read all of them and he found this movie interesting to watch.
And he wasn't wrong about it.
The movie was was related to the girl who disguised as a boy.

The movie ended swiftly. Sakuno found the movie interesting to watch after all. It was a great watch. It was still a wonder why Ryoma chose her to watch the movie alone. Not because she was a girl, he barely knew her as a girl. He'd known her as Jerry, her boy counterpart.
He thought that going to see a movie with a guy was ridiculous for him. Sakuno must have thought that Ryoma was also thinking the same thing. They were just walking and they didn't have a destination to go to. Sakuno was feeling awkward once again. Ryoma was awfully quiet.
"Anou, Arigatou for today, Ryoma-kun," She ventured to speak after the awkward silence, "I've never expected that my you would invite me to the movie today."
"It was an impulse," Ryoma answered still looking ahead of them, "I've never expected to get the solo award either."
"You were great!" She beamed looking to his side, "I knew you were. I wished I should have seen you back there."
"You did see me." He whispered.
"E?" She blinked thinking that she misheard his words. Leaning closer to him, she asked him again, "What did you say?"
"I said I wished you were too."
"Oh… right." They continued walking once again. It wasn't long before Ryoma broke the silence which was so rare of him to do.
"You are not bad."
"E?" Surprisingly, she looked at him. They were in the park at that moment and she didn't know that their feet brought them there, "What do you mean?"
"Going out with you," Ryoma shrugged as he walked closer to a bench and sat there. He tapped his side telling her to sit beside her, "You aren't that bad that we should do that often."
She was sitting as his words were processing in her mind. When it did, she looked at him curiously, "D-do what?" And mentally slapping herself to ask the obvious.
"Date."
Despite that she knew, she never expected that Ryoma would voice out that one word. She was really red at that moment, glad that she was a girl at that time. It was true that she admired Ryoma for a long time now.
She was lucky that he had to be her roommate in the school. She'd known his behavior towards his teammates and how he dealt with them.
Sakuno really admired Echizen Ryoma a lot.
"Let's have another date soon."
"Eh?" She didn't know how to react that time. Ryoma was inviting her for another date? "R-Ryoma-kun… I—I"
"Give me your number." He said producing his own cell phone as he was typing her name as she thought.
"B-but I told you—"
"The next time we meet, I'll ask for your number," He said looking at her when he was done typing, "Your brother said it's still your decision whether you give it to me or not."
Sakuno was awfully red and her heart was really beating fast. Ryoma had that static reaction towards her. He was just asking for her number but she was already panicking inside.
"I don't want to disturb you if you don't want to be disturbed," Ryoma persuaded, "I only ask for your number."
In an instant, Sakuno was already typing her number to his cellphone. He then called her just to make sure that she received his number as well. One thing that she was thankful about, Tomoka produced her a dual-sim cell phone. She gave him her other number than the other one that she usually used with her teammates and to him as well. She told Tomoka about him the first time he asked for her number and she couldn't give any.
Indeed, she was really thankful of Tomoka.
"I'll text when on our next date."
"H-hai…" She only nodded as the smile on her face never faltered. She didn't know that he was watching her for a long time.
"Ryuzaki."
"Hm." She looked at him only to be shocked. His lips landed on her cheek, near to her gaped lips. Her eyes widened while her breath was held due to shock. His hand was rested on her chin to keep her steady. They stayed like that for a few seconds before Ryoma slowly leaned away from her;
"Thank you for going with me," He said, having a smug look on his face. Standing up, he tucked his hands to his pocket and looked ahead, "Come, I'll take you home."
Her heart was beating fast. Her face was awfully red. He made her speechless before of that kiss. He kissed her in an informal way but the touch left her a great impact.
They kissed accidently before and that kiss was something as well. But since they kissed thinking that they were both guys, they thought of letting that go. Now that he kissed her, on the cheek, as a girl, things were different in her mind. As she watched the boy walked away from her, she knew that her admiration for him was more than that.
The question was, how she was going to deal with that just discovered feeling.
Done! How was this chapter? I didn't know what was going to happen anymore. A slight Ryosaku to anyone? There will be more to come. Expect for further surprises minna.
Sorry for the unlimited time. I am back, although, I have to challenge myself. You see, I have another fic to make and it seems that is also in demand in my part. I've been suggested to continue that fic, let alone the review I solely received from that fic. (It's not RyoSaku and definitely not a normal love story) I'll see which fic to receive more requests (review, pm, page comments, etc) will get the next chapter. Thank you very much... :)
