The distinct scrape of chairs across the classroom tiles signaled the end of class, a once tense atmosphere breathing a sigh of relief as the junior years left to mingle in the halls. Scribbling down the last couple of notes on the board, Brittanya and Monique made their way to the café. All was going fine until they walked into the ex-Queen Bee herself. Turning to look at the two, her soft gaze drifted over Monìque before resting on her sister. Before she could get out the thought that had been bouncing around in her mind, the blond-streaked brunette easily remarked, "If that look is what I think it is, then I'll pass on the chat. Plus, Unique and I were gonna sit with the others for lunch." Taking the hand of the fashionista, she added with a smile, "You're more than welcome to join us." The brunette only stared after them, mouth agape before she promptly shut it back. "I think I might join you later, Tani." The girls nodded as they left to find their friends. "You gonna be okay, Bonnie?" the blonde began, to which she heard a soft "I'll be fine, Tara." The aforementioned only smiled as she guided the rich girl to their usual lunch space.
Brittanya smiled as Monìque and the others thoroughly enjoyed their five-star lunch, courtesy of the dark fighter. Murmurs of "This is delicious" and "I forgot how well you cook" were spoken in bliss. She simply smiled meekly as she watched her friends eat contentedly. Kim's communicator went off and she immediately answered. "Hey, Wade, what's the sitch?" the tech guru only laughed as he replied, "Nothing right now, Kim. I just wanted to talk to Bri for a bit." Blinking, the redhead wordlessly gave her friend a gentle nudge in the shoulder before handing over the device.
Sniggering, she smiled as wiped the tears from her eyes as she accepted the device. "Wade, what's up?" there was a pause as she saw him sign something to her. Completely composed from her laughing fit, she excused herself with a whispered "I'll be back in a bit" before she got up and slipped out of the café.
Meanwhile, in Drakken's new lair…
"Shego, pass me the screwdriver. I need to nail in this last bolt so I can finish off my latest invention." The green hued woman scoffed as she drawled, "No can do, Dr. D." the mad scientist raised a pointed brow as he whirled around to look at his lounging fiancé. "Oh really: and could you enlighten me as to why not?" the primary response was the turn of a page in her magazine before she coolly remarked, "'Cause I'm on break. You said so yourself: I make sure that you get the required parts that you need for your latest lamevention, I get to relax." A period of contemplative silence passed before the blue hued man groaned in frustration as he went to fetch the desired tool himself. Always with the lip… you'd think she'd be more willing to help seeing that she's going to be my wife.
