"It's gonna be okay, Briz." Kai'Liam said as they entered the Possible's kitchen. "Bria, he's right; your dad can't stay mad forever." Ron replied in agreement, his thumb skating across her hand in a reassuring fashion. Rufus stuck his head out of Ron's pocket, scampered up her arm and sat on her shoulder as he commenced to chatter comfortingly. Bonnie hugged her sister as she tenderly wiped her falling tears. "Dean's right, Daddy can only be mad for so long. If there's anyone he's mad at, it'd be the careless creep that started this." The naked mole rat chirped his agreement as he nuzzled her cheek. The mother-to-be looked to the pet and smiled as she stroked his head with a finger. "Thanks for trying, sweetie; I appreciate it." She cooed as she gave him an Eskimo kiss, gently placing the hairless companion back in the blond's hand. "And thanks for being there for me guys; but we all know he's disappointed in me." Looking up to see Kim, Tara and Monìque standing at the counter, the brunette managed a small smile before she ambled into the living room. The post-secondary juniors exchanged a worried glance as the girl broke down and sobbed into the sofa pillows before approaching her. The former boarding scholars sighed as they managed to pull the sobbing woman up long enough to reposition her on their laps, while the others sat around them.
For a long while, no one said anything as the three-month-pregnant Specialist continued to sob softly, a hiccup escaping her every once in a while. Kai frowned in thought as he pulled his bestfriend closer to him, his heart banging painfully against his ribcage as her tears bled through his shirt. We have to do something. He thought in dismay, resting his chin atop her head. You're right Knight Blossom, but what can we do? Monìque replied internally. The ex-assassins regarded one another before looking to their friends. "Guys, we have to do something." Ron declared resolutely, resting his arm on the chocolate-skinned woman's knees. Bonnie hummed in agreement as she reached over to rub her sister's leg comfortingly. "So Tara, what are you planning to do for Spring Break?" Kim asked as she rested her head against Kai's leg. Tara turned to regard her cousin with a blank stare before she spoke up. "Kim, I'm staying over here remember?" the redhead hummed as she craned her head up to look at the foreign exchange student. "What about you, Kai?" the Tae Kwon Do instructor blinked as he looked down at her. "I don't have plans for anything special." Raising his brow, he turned to the girl seated beside him. "What about you, Unique?" the Judo specialist shook her head as her russet gaze shifted to the now slumbering center of attention. "I'm not going anywhere, especially if Raven's not doing okay." Reaching out to the blond leaning against her, she ruffled his hair. "What about you, Golden Boy?" the nickname elicited a bout of sniggers, to which the culinary student shrugged as he craned his neck to look up at her. "Parents don't care where I go, so as long as I call." Looking to the crestfallen brunette next to him, he gently tapped her arm. "What about you, Delle? Got anything planned?"
A pregnant pause settled over the living space, save the dance instructor drumming her nails against her thigh before she perked up. "Connie's coming home to visit with her boyfriend and Lonnie's supposed to be going to a Professor's Conference in Upperton. Besides having to endure dinner with them and my parents, I have no plans." A light whimper sounded and all eyes were on the swordswoman. "But I think it'd be safer if we stayed here." The heroine placed her hand on the cheerleader's shoulder. "Then it's final; everyone's staying here for Spring Break." Glancing at the others, she could see that they felt the same way. Kai smiled as he looked down to the skilled fighter cradled against him. "I'm gonna make a call, be right back." Kim and Bonnie got up and moved to the side, watching as he slipped his arm beneath her knees before he got up. Discreetly kissing the top of her head, he placed her in Monìque's lap before walking into the kitchen to call his parents.
