Breaking Out all the Tricks:
In the Enchanted Forest while Crane became DARKER and stronger, so did the Savior. In the bottom of the castle dungeons in the lowest cell room laid Emma Swan, her powers growing. The guards had noticed it as a white glow began to pulsate from the cell, they had reported back to Crane however he shrugged them off in focus of his armies taking upon the land raiding villages that had just been put back together in search of the other seekers.
This continued until one day all together the glowing just stopped and faded for a second taking the guards by surprise. They stared at the cell door with their weapons at the ready, all was quiet until they started to hear a very faint sound begin. It raised in volume over the next seconds before revealing itself as laughs.
The guards then charged at the door in fear and just before they opened the door with one of their hands on the handle the door blew open blasting the guards against the wall knocking them out.
Through the corridors she didn't keep herself hidden to anyone, she made her way to Crane's chambers only to discover them empty. She searched for her things which she had found in a chest in the corner of the room hidden from sight.
She quickly got dressed into her outfit, strapping on her belts. She could hear noises coming towards her, she quickly ran into the corridor for cover. Staying out of sight she held her breath as guards slipped passed yelling holding their weapons as if waiting for her to come out of nowhere and attack them.
She could have taken them down if she had her full strength, however at the moment she felt weak after being in a room full of darkness for days.
Once the coast was clear she made her way down to the castle's armory, she then picked up armor, uniform and a sword disguising herself as a guard she then put on a knight's helmet to hide her face.
She walked, heck even strolled out of the armory and when guards passed her they didn't even second guess her giving her access to walk around without getting detected.
When she approached the stables.
"You there, where are you stationed?"
Emma gulped and held her breath sucking in air before she answer the guard.
"I was ordered to patrol the boards encase the Savior has attempted to escape"
The guard scrutinized her using his gaze as if inspecting her, he stepped closer towards her before getting in her face. He then growled at her...
"Get on with it then!" he ordered shoving Emma towards the entrance of the stables before turning on his foot and marching off to help direct the other guards who were searching.
Emma then quickly made her way to one of the stalls grabbing a saddle strapping and tacking a horse she made sure she did it right, she then quickly feed the horse an apple before stroking his head gaining his trust quickly.
She then quickly led the horse out of the stall and into the middle of the stable getting set to begin riding, as she was about to get on the horse a guard noticed her for who she really was and shouted out to alert the others.
Emma Swan simply smiled her whitest smile before quickly getting upon the horse and rode out of the stables charging forward the horse galloping on the stone ground that inner castle village had.
As she rode she noticed three to four guards on horses themselves going after her with swords. She could hear them shouting to close the castle gate and drawbridge to stop her escape, Emma urged the horse even faster.
She neared the castle gate where two guards stood trying to stop her with spears in their hands at their sides. They both shouted to halt which she did not heed, pushing hem out of the way with her horse she grabbed one of their spears that almost hit her galloping passed the gate and then threw it into a fire pit before making her way through the lower village out of the kingdom with guards hot on her tail.
Knowing there was no going back, this was her chance to see her family again. Even though knowing what would come after reuniting with her loved ones, as she rode she knew she was bringing a war along with her.
In the darkest room a screech like scream could be heard from a man, known as Crane; he watched through a window as the savior was escaping through the castle gates on horseback.
"FIND HER!"
More guards were released out the castle gates on horseback after the savior, shooting off their prods in hopes of capturing her.
Chasing throughout the forest, mountains, and even across streams; her luck would have to eventually run out.
Deep in the brush of the forest the horse breathed strongly in an out as it ran at the top of its strength. It's heart beating rapidly as it willed itself to keep on going from the command of the rider.
Screams and shouts could be heard from behind the horse through the darkness of night, arrows flying through the air missing by an hair's length from the rider.
Fire could be seen through the foliage as soldiers chased the rider through. In and out across the land hot on the riders trail. Breaking up the ground and grass with horses hooves causing destruction showing their intentions and rage.
The rider had no idea where they were going or how to get there, all they knew was that they needed to get away and fast. The nearby villages were screaming as the soldiers rode through during the chase, capturing the people attention causing fear and surprise.
The rider rode faster than others had seen before, glancing wildly around side to side to see where she could go to escape. She noticed a more dense woods coming up to her right, she steered the horse towards it knowing if getting lost is what it takes to lose the soldiers then it would have to do.
There were too many to fight all at once alone, even for the Savior herself. She may be strong, however she was still weak from the treatment from prison they kept her in for god knows how long. Her muscles ached as she slapped the reins to push the horse on into the beginnings of the woods ahead, she steamed through the trees at an alarming rate. She heard the soldiers stop behind her at the edge of the woods before shoutiung and following in behind the escaped prisoner.
Emma looked behind her quickly to see how close the soldiers were now, they were far behind and looked to be splitting up as the sun went down. Their vision was depleting on which direction she went through the trees.
"SAVIOR"
She didn't feel like one at the moment, more like a wounded swan. She began to slow down the horse after seeing even from far away no more soldiers. She made it. The horse breathed heavily and hotly, exhausted beyond belief.
Fearing for the horses safety she looked for water, she rode slowly towards an upcoming stream. She guided the horse close to the stream for it to drink and rest, she then slowly dismounted the horse, sighing from pain from her muscles.
Her cloak billowed behind her in the cold wind, she shivered at the feel of it. She cupped her hand together and rubbed them. She shielded one hand with the other and began snapping her fingers and sparks began to build much like a lighter until a flame produced warming her hands. She then slowly sat down on a rock in the cold with her hand induced fire trying to warm herself, Emma sighed out towards the wind looking out before her.
It was quiet, she hasn't heard quiet in a while; she closed her eyes to rest for a millisecond as the horse sighed and layed down close by. Her cloak provided a comfort like a blanket, she warmed up for a couple of minutes before standing back up.
She then checked what she had on her, her clothes, her sword and single belt and an empty pouch that usually hold money.
She sighed no money means even if she located a village with an inn, she would be able to pay and it would draw attention to herself if she used other means to procure a room.
She would have to make temporary camp for the night, looking around Emma thought of what she knew about shelters from experience and went to work. She first went to collect some scattered wood branches from the trees to build a fire.
She grabbed a whole bunch of wood carrying the branches in her arms searching for kindling to help start it, walking brought her towards trees that seemed to have grown in the area leaving a circle area in the center.
Right smack in the middle grew some short dead grass which would make perfect kindling for her fire, stepping forward Emma walked towards it as she reached to grab some the ground below her suddenly gave way creating a hole.
"AHHH, OOOFFF" Emma fell hard dropping all of the wood with her, she finally fell onto her back with a loud groan. SHe laid there in pain, whispering "Why?"
After a few minutes the pain began to lessen, Emma then rolled onto her side breathing in and out as she willed herself to try and stand. As she put her hand on the ground to help herself up, she noticed that ground was not dirt or grass however concrete.
Why would there be concrete in the enchanted forest?
She then slowly got up and noticed the darkness, she looked up to see the hole above her only to see it magically closing up behind her.
"The hell?!"
She dusted her herself off, brushing her tunic and cloak. She snapped her fingers to produce a light in the darkness, as she did a oak wooden door illuminated as well. Almost as if reacting from her magic, Emma confused tilted her head a smidge and began to move towards it.
Placing her hand on the doorknob she felt a tingle in her hand and heard shuffling from behind the door. Turning the doorknob she then pushed the door open, all she saw was darkness.
Having nowhere else to go looking back she began to enter, she heard her boots as she walked on what seemed to be stone flooring. A breeze whistled by Emma face, a familiar wind.
She then swung her arm out away from her snapping her fingers, just then candles all around came alight instantly brightening the place.
Emma smiled for the first time in a while, The Sanctuary.
