Lyra POV

Lyra woke up in her room in Chaos's realm. Suddenly, it all came rushing back to her. Chaos wanted us to destroy Camp Half-Blood then, Percy and she refused, and she had...blacked out?

She shot out of bed and got dressed. She ran to Percy's room and found him already up. She pulled him out of his room, and out to find Chaos.

As soon as they got out of his room, they ran into Chaos. He looked at them and smirked.

"Did you have fun yesterday? From the looks of it, it seems like you and your girlfriend broke up." He looked at Percy.

"Wh..what?" Percy stuttered. Chaos rolled his eyes at him. Chaos turned his back toward them.

"Follow me."

Lyra looked at Percy, and he shrugged and followed Chaos. She shook her head, exasperated, but she followed.

Chaos took them to something that looked like some kind of...office? The walls were gold, and were almost completely covered in paintings and animal skins, none of which Lyra had seen before.

Chaos sat down in a silver plush chair.

"Do you want to know what I'm talking about?" Percy nodded his head. Chaos waved his hand, and a screen that seemed to be made entirely of light. It glowed, and a scene appeared. It was Camp Half-Blood.

Flashback

Lyra watched as two figures appeared dressed in dark cloaks. All the Campers near them immediately went into a fighting stance.

Lyra saw Annabeth in the background kissing a guy with brown hair. She saw a murderous look appear on the face of one of the figures.

Nico di Angelo walked up to the figures.

"Who are you?" Lyra saw one of the figures smirk.

"Us?" He said innocently. Lyra realized, with a start that it was Percy. So that probably meant...no, it couldn't be.

This time, the second figure smirked.

"We're the ones that are going to destroy your precious camp." The voice sounded exactly like Lyra's.

Nico seemed to realize this as well.

"Lyra?" He said, surprisingly timidly.

The figure sneered at her.

"My name is Krymeni. Now, say goodbye to you camp."

Krymeni pointed at Long Island Sound, and water rose up.

The Campers cowered in fear as the water washed over and flooded the camp. The water seemed to avoid all of the demigods, opting to only touch the cabins and the rest of camp.

The figure that stood next to Krymeni smiled evilly. He waved his hand, making the water recede. Lyra noticed that the Big House was still standing. He then spoke:

"Go now. Tell that pathetic excuse for a god that war is coming. The gods' reign is soon to be over. Soon, Chaos will reign!" With that, both he and Krymeni disappeared into mist.

As the screen started disappearing, Lyra saw Annabeth looking at the place where they disappeared.

"Percy?"

Flashback end

The screen dissipated, and Lyra glared at Chaos furiously. She saw Percy glaring holes into the wall. Lyra felt bad for him.

"Why? Why would you do this? What did the gods ever do to you?" Lyra said through gritted teeth.

Chaos glared back at Lyra.

"You children think that the gods are perfect, innocent beings, don't you? Well they aren't. I'm going to show you something that might change your mind about the gods."

This time, he put a finger to both of their forehead, and suddenly, she was in the Olympian Throne Room.

Flashback

She had seen pictures of the Throne Room before, but now, seeing it in all of its glory she gasped.

A girl kneeled before them. She had platinum-blonde hair and when Lyra looked closer, she gasped again. Her eyes were similar to that of Chaos's, they were a dark purple and looked like tiny swirling vortexes.

All of the gods seemed to be glaring at her. All of them except one...

"Eiríni, daughter of Chaos, you have been brought here today for treason against the gods. How do you plead?" Zeus said, obviously trying to keep himself from destroying her right then and there.

In response, she spat at the ground near his throne. Zeus looked about ready to burst.

"Very well. The punishment for such a crime is execution, which we will not hesitate to do. Any last words?"

"Yes." She finally spoke. "Today, you may have gotten away with disrespecting the creator, but I swear on Chaos's name, you will regret this day." She fell silent after that.

All of the Olympians lifted up their hands and shot beams of light at her. She screamed in agony.

When the light died down, she was gone.

Flashback end

Lyra looked at Chaos in disbelief.

"They accused her of siding with Gaea in the Gigantomachy. The gods killed her." Tears gathered in his eyes.

"She wouldn't have ever done that. She was the most peaceful being I had ever known. She wouldn't have ever gotten involved in a war."

Lyra bit her lip. She knew what the gods had done was wrong. But she also knew that they were the best rulers the world could ever have.

"Now will you side with them over me?" Lyra looked at Percy. Percy stared back at her. They seemed to have a silent conversation. Finally Percy nodded.

"We will side with you, as long as you don't harm the demigods." A small smile appeared on Chaos's face.

"Of course. Go to breakfast now. Your friends are waiting for you."

They got out of their seat, and when they got out into the hallway, Percy broke down.

"Why would Annabeth do this to me? What did I ever do to her?" Lyra put an arm around him.

"It's okay. If she's stupid enough to cheat on you, then she doesn't deserve you."

After Percy calmed down, they slowly walked to the breakfast hall.

Huntress greeted them. She noticed Percy's puffy eyes and asked,

"What's wrong?" Lyra answered for Percy.

"He's fine. It's nothing."
