"And then just, divide that number by the square root." Emma told her tutoring student, Jimmy Brookes.

Jimmy sat in his wheelchair and seemed to even wince as he tried to figure out the number and Emma snuck a glance at him, smiling sadly.

He had a tough year. She was his tutor for his Math class..honestly it was the same shit they learned last year..they couldn't give him a break?

"4?"

"Close, 5." Emma went to giggle as even he smiled a little dumbly to notice her stop when she noticed a figure walk past the library and that figure gave her a darker look then she gave him.

Jay.

She tried to ignore and looked back to Jimmy, who had already seen though so she stared down at the page.

"Is he bothering you?" Jimmy asked her.

Emma wanted to laugh. Why would he care? After this tutoring, he'll go off back into his own world and she wouldn't matter to him like she didn't matter to anybody.

"I heard you guys got into a fight or something." Jimmy joked, "Again." he teased.

Emma didn't smile, only frowned more sadly and scribbled on her binder, "It's fine." she said quietly.

"Yah but he's trouble, so be careful."

Emma just nodded and then the next classes bell rang, thank god. She had a free period but Jimmy grabbed his books and said farewell, leaving her alone as she scribbled a bit harder on her binder, trying to control her emotions.

She needed more

"Well, well, well." Aaron said, opening his door to find the girl who left HIM after he took her prized possession.

He leaned on the door frame and crossed his arms and Emma winced a bit at his nose, pointing at her own, "What happened?"

It looked bad, possibly broken.

"Your boyfriend came on over to 'teach me a lesson'." he said with a smirk eyeing her up and down, "But I gotta say... I can't seem to resist even after a punch like that."

Emma was confused and shook her head, "What boyfriend?"

He raised an eyebrow, "Jay?" so... it wasn't her boyfriend? Well shit, that was a wierd situation.. wonder how Lexy would think of that.

Emma was lost in thought and she blinked, trying not to think the way she was lately and desperately asked him, "Do you have more.." she drifts, hoping he'd get it.

He eyed her suspiciously.

"You know.." she says.

He smirked. He did now.

"What would you do for it?" he smugly asks, hungrily looking at her body. She had this moan he was dying to hear again after they slept with another.

Emma ugh'd in disgust, "I have money, ok?"

He frowned but shrugged, "Fine, come on in."

He ended up giving her some, and one extra just for being cute. Emma left in a hurry, and didn't look back.

"I'm glad you wanted to hangout!" Manny admitted, walking with Emma now at the mall.

Emma laughed, nudged her elbow into Manny's, "Well you're my best friend, silly." she teased and smiled wide, looking around with her big bugged eyes.

Manny smiled but gave her a funny look, "Well, ofcourse. You've just been M.I.A"

Emma suddenly stopped in her tracks, her eyes paining even though she was on coke at the very moment. That wasn't fair..it was suppose to numb her from everything.

"L-Let's go." she said quickly, "Who cares about window shopping, I'm poor anyways and I'm sure my mom needs me to babysit Jack soon."

Manny was confused, and glanced where Emma looked a bit out of it to see Jay sitting at a food court table, Alex across from him and eating french fries, their friend Towerz on the other side of Jay talking but Jay didn't seem to be paying attention.

"Ok." Manny agreed, not wanting Emma to be uncomfortable.

Emma quickly walked a head and Manny had to jog from behind to keep up.

"We can go the Dot, or the movies, or maybe even-"

"Em chill." Manny laughed a bit. Emma rambled but not like this, "You said you had to go home?"

"Oh." Emma stopped, "You're right." she blinked a few times then pointed to the Exit, "So I'll see you tomorrow?"

Manny nodded and waved when Emma left, watching her until out of site.

She turned, and went to walk home the other way which was the other side of the mall so she had to go through the food court again and when she did, she bumped into the one and only Jay Hogart.

Jay went to glare but was a little shocked it was Emma's friend, but then he kept the tough act on and glared again, "Watch it."

"You're the one who should watch it." warned Manny, raising an eyebrow.

Jay chuckled. She thought she was tough, how cute.

"I mean it, stay away from Emma." she told him.

Jays eyes went cold and then he washed it away from his face and rolled his eyes, avoiding looking at her, "Wish granted." he said bitterly.

Manny eyed him, "Oh." she bluntly said, shocked he was leaving her alone and she had nothing to worry about. "Ok.''

So why was Emma so nervous to be around him?

Jay stormed around her and she watched him til out of site too.

"Over the summer, I want you guys to do some reading." Mrs Kwan begged the class the next day and paced back and forth at the front, "Read anything! Books, newspapers. Just educate yourselves a bit."

"Um Mrs Kwan." Paige raised her hand beside Hazel, "Summer is for relaxing..and in my case, tanning."

Some of the class laughed and Jay rolled his eyes to Spinner beside him who chuckled a bit. The bell rang and they all got up.

Thank god.

Last day of school.

"We should go camping man, have a summer party, something rightous dude!" Spinner exclaimed, walking down the halls with Jay.

Jay snickered, "Alright dude." he mocked him.

"Hey, we can go to the beach? Check out some hunnies."

Usually the offer would catch Jay's attention, but with a certain blonde standing a few lockers down and reaching up to grab her books on the top shelf..sort of had him distracted. The way her legs stood and how she tip toed to reach the books..her skirt raising a bit-

"Ahem." taunted Spinner, seeing Jay ignoring him and he snapped out of it.

"Chicks, ravine, camping, yea whatever." he agreed and began to walk off, "see you later." he tossed over his shoulder.

Emma was having trouble reaching the very last one until a body came up behind her, making shivers go down her neck when she felt his breath and he reached his arm over her, grabbing the book and passing it to her.

She glared when he held it away when she went to take it, "Can I help you?" she asks with a bitter tone.

He looked around at all her books, "You know, normal students just throw them in the trash ..why are you taking them all home?" he paused and looked away as he asked, "you gonna need a ride?"

Emma frowned a bit, cause she did..but her mom was busy with a doctor appointment.

"No." she lied, tossing him a 'no fucking way' look though.

He snickered, bending a bit to grab her purse and a few books, "Well I have your lady bag and your books hostage, so you're gonna have to." he already walking away and Emma's mouth hung a bit.

That little jerk!

She bent down and grabbed her books, and followed after him through the crowd.

He stopped at his car, putting her books into his trunk and when she came, he smirked as she passed a glare, but did take his offer for a ride as she stuck the rest of her books in the car.

He threw her purse into it and slammed it closed, juggling the keys in his hand, "Lets go."

They got in, and she shook her head as he drove, sneaking glances at her but she saw every single one of them and looked out the window, trying to hold in her smile.

I still need you, need you, don't mean to tease you,
If you want me, I'll come back and meet you,
Whisper, whisper, you must admit you want it,
You, you want it,
