Summary: There are just some things that takes time to realize.

Discovering ones feeling had never been easy. Rin's was not an exception.
After all, it only took her life to realize hers.

She admired him greatly. Kakashi. It wasn't a secret. Everybody knows it.
They also felt the same.
He was great, swift on his feet, smart, capable, and truly fit to be a ninja. No one could defeat him and no one tried.
But then there's him.
Obito who's known for his tardiness, for his sheepish smiles whenever he says his excuses.
He was a fool.
But he never fails to give his all, and that's all that matters. Despite his clumsiness, he is a man worthy to be admired.
Because never gives up.
It made her want to cheer him on, and so she did.

Everything was okay, but with a flash, it's not.
Missions happened then he was gone.
He died, and something inside her snaps. She gotta do her best. She gotta give her all to improve.
In their world, it wouldn't be impossible if another important person slips away next.
So before any other unfortunate event happened, she said it. Or atleast, tried, because he stopped her.
"Obito risked his life for you. He loved you."
The hole in her heart somehow got bigger.
She bawled her eyes out that night.
Obito loved her.
Somehow, she knew. He might not told it in words but his actions spoke it for everyone to know.
She, herself, felt it.
But she brushed it off. Because Kakashi is the one she loves.
Or at least she believed he was.

"Kakashi..."
That was all she could manage to utter as his lightning clad hand pierced her chest.
I'm sorry.
It was the only way. For the village to remain safe.
At least, Obito wouldn't be alone now. He must've been feeling sad watching over them.
But he wasn't there.
Confusion. Shock. Relief.
She didn't know what came first or last, all she knew was that several emotions passed through her from that knowledge.
Then she sighed, her lips curling up in a light smile.
"That Obito," she sighs. Relief and anger mixing into one breath. "Guess he's gonna be late again."
