The compartment had been shredded to oblivion, the sides and roof were torn off by the force of the wind and the weekend structure of the paneling. The wind roared through the remains of the cabin creating a vacuum effect sucking everything of a lower weight off the ground casting it to the open plains.

The bullets finally stopped spraying overhead, the trigger man, a Bull clone, dropped to his knees coughing up copious amounts of blood "B-Boss i…I'm…" the clone like the remaining clones Peter had restrained on the roof of the front cart dropped dead.

Shade watched in horror as his enemies stood up, he had 6 bullets in his revolver and 4 shells to his double barrel not enough to fend off this team, mainly the immortal freak with the bone like claws. Desperate Shade fired both barrels at the crowd, if even just to distract them while he ran for the first class compartment.

Shade slammed the door behind him making sure to blast the connecting pins separating the carts. He looked back to see his little brother racing for the door after him, Shade actually smiled at his brothers persistence before turning into the last cart discarding his shot gun "ok Marek lets settle this once and for all"

Marek ran for the door ripping it open the gap between the trains was growing wider, he couldn't jump it Shade would escape him again. "damn it!" he growled kicking the ground only the ground slid slamming into the door. Peters revolvers laid at his feet "kid…" Marek sighed. Sasha told Peter never to lose these and Bull was dead with Peter missing, Marek was left to assume the worst. He picked up Peters revolvers drawing his left side holster remembering that Peter configured his weapons the right side fired trapping snares the left fired lines for anchoring.

"thanks kid" he grinned turning to fire a line connecting to the ladder of the cart "tallyho" Marek tied the end of the line to his railing astonished by the strength of it. Inch by inch Marek climbed across the gap to the final cart.

His feet touched down and suddenly reality sunk in Marek would finally confront his brother one last time. He drew his pistol taking one last long slow calming breath it was here, the moment he spent half his life pursuing, the moment of justice.

He pulled the door open stowing Peters revolver in his belt then drawing his own, his Navy Colt 44. He peered in scanning for Shade stopping when he saw his brother standing in the middle of the cart with his gun belt hanging from his hands "well come on I don't have all day little brother drop that worthless piece of garbage and face me like a man" Shade taunted.

Marek stepped into full view of the doorway facing his brother clenching his fists at the remark he made "face you like a man? You murdered our brother because you were afraid of Stewards retaliation after I served a legal warrant! You're a coward!" he bellowed.

Shade remained unfazed by his brothers accusation and gingerly cast aside his gun belt with an arrogant smile "honor is a real pain isn't Marek? As much as you want to shoot me dead your honor is keeping you from it, you're going to accept my challenge and fi.."

(BANG!)

Marek had pulled the trigger, no remorse, no hesitation just a single shot to Shades chest "I'm not stupid enough to face you in a fight you fucking filth. More importantly if you're going to kill somebody do it. Don't waste time talking about it"

Shade clutched at his wound gazing up at his brother, smiling he had the nerve to smile at him even when he was dying "ha-ha if you could see this from my perspective Marek you'd be laughing to. You the lawman, shot an unarmed man without hesitation hahaha I'll die laughing little brother same won't be said for you though. Once this train hits the D.C track switch it'll trigger a trip wire on the track releasing a chemical from within the train and when it reacts with Octavius new concoction this entire train will become an incendiary bomb burning for hours with no way of extinguishing it. Then the best part, once the air outside mixes in the chemicals reach will expand 3 times the impact size D.C will burn into nothing and finally old man Osborne can mine the whole time place hollow"

"that's what this was about?! A mine?" Marek blurted.

The train began to violently shake shifting the following carts on to their sides the lead cart being dragged by the web strand left the tracks into a barrel roll toppling after the engine cart "oh crap! What happened"

The entire line of compartments began slamming, crashing, and smashing into each-other the crunching metal and shattering glass forced the pile up into the back of the engine cart. Marek was thrown onto the floor sliding into a canister with a bubbling green liquid inside "that was the first stage trip Marek next one will destroy the entire city" Shade laughed.

Carts began igniting, Marek could only watch as his teammates began searching for a safe exit from their nearly over turned cart Colt fell sideways back into the cart as the wheels began to lift from the tracks. Their cart toppled over flipping off the tracks into a river bank while the remaining carts continued to topple and roll. Odd thing was they were nowhere close to Washington, something else tipped the train.

Colt regained his sense of balance despite a throbbing head and possible broken bones he rose to his feet, which were currently submerged under 2 feet of water, and made his way over to Rawhide. "come on fancy boy you weren't hit that hard" Colt groaned as he pulled his friend to his feet "where would we find James in this mess?"

A mess it was. The seats had all splintered and broke, glass shards littered the floor under the water and the bar table was divided off broken in separate areas of the cart. The water slowly crept up their knees "James! Where are you?"

"you don't need to yell I'm right next to you!" James snarled picking himself up from under a pile of seats "where is Parker and his annoying sidekick?" he growled.

"Marek is still riding the rails with Shade I haven't seen Peter" Rawhide moaned before kicking out the back door to the river bank then crawled out a short distance from the carnage that was the pile up of trashed cars "20 dollars says this is Peters handy work" Colt laughed.

"you know you're probably right" Rawhide added.

(present Day- Baxter building)

With Fury and the young heroes gathered inside his laboratory watching a 3d schematic compile on the screen in front of them. It showed the print of what appeared to be some sort of hour glass timer supported by a single glass tube allowing it to flip and change the sands flow, the timer itself was constructed inside a stone two handed looking sceptre surrounded by four stone pillars to the top with Japanese insignias carved along the shaft.

"the stones Johnny found are the shattered remnants of an ancient Japanese sceptre, a relic used by warlords as a symbol of their power lasting through time, there's even a legend of these artifacts having a temporal power of transporting people through the ages. Which if Johnny is telling truth might hold some weight" Reid explained as he walked the others through the changing images.

"And what truth is that Mr. Fantastic?" Fury asked, sounding unconvinced of Reid's movie magic theory.

Reid looked to Johnny with an unusual expression passing the explanation on to him. "I know no one's going to believe me, given of what we saw in the machine but those stones… I spoke to Peter with them he was in Dodge City Kansas…"

Johnny trailed off as low and violent growl could be heard from behind him, White Tiger stood cross armed with her claws slowly extending in her aggravation. She did not look at all happy with Johnny at this moment.

"easy kitty cat" Johnny coaxed nervously, "I did speak with Peter I'd know his voice anywhere so yes I can vouch that he is alive and that this sceptre can help bring him home. Providing Reid can fix it he'll send me back to grab the web head and then come home"

White Tiger snatched one of the stones from the table top instantly changing from a rustic time worn color to a luminescent green "what the hells it doing?" she growled

"Ava?" came a weak raspy groan "Ava is that you? I knew it I'm dead. The train wrecked and killed me"

"what the Parker?" Tiger gasped. She heard him clear as day, he could have been right next to her "Parker you're alive?"

"ok Tigers lost it, somebody get Tiger a warm towel and put her to bed she's clearly gone coo-coo for coco puffs" Nova snickered before catching a swat in the back of the helmet from IronFist.

"shush"

"for once Johnny did what I asked Ava I can't tell you how awesome it is to hear your voice again Ava I can't talk to much but I have to tell you I might have a way home OH MY GOD NOT AGAIN"

suddenly his voice was gone but a feeling of relief tingled inside White Tiger, she heard Peter's voice and he told her he was coming home. "guys…Johnny is really telling the truth Peters alive" two single black lines worked their way down from her eyes under her mask. The ferocious White tiger was crying in public.

"Tiger are you sure?" Power-man asked "I mean Tiger we all miss him and well maybe you're just convincing yourself…"

Once again Tigers growl filled the room a more animalistic growl that would strike fear into the hearts of the fiercest warriors "he's alive guys! Mr. Fantastic how do you plan to fix this sceptre thing?"

"a couple of hours and hopefully the scanners can replicate it if not it may require a small fusion project to reconstruct it" Reid replied.

"Do it!" Tiger snapped.

"god damn she's terrifying and sexy at the same time, anybody called dibs?" Johnny whispered to Nova.

"dude not safe very, very not safe like skating on thin ice with hot blades she will eat you alive and ride you to death besides we're all sure she has a thing for web head" Nova replied "but go ahead and ask her out having Tiger maul you to death is likely get me the most hits on youtube"

(1895)

The final cart flipped head over tail crashing down derailing the engine cart onto its side. The entire train was now derailed and a mess sliding toward a small ravine.

Marek watched through the front windows as the train spun around careening toward the ravine cliff side "oh crap! Oh crap!" he panicked. The train spun forward again catching the smallest glimpse of red before the train came to sudden jerking stop.

Marek fell forward flatly landing next to Shades body and the now leaking green liquid which flowed across the floor. Shade lay there dead on the floor soaking in the ooze and something unsettling crept into Mareks heart, remorse he had killed his last blood relative, his greatest enemy and yet he felt unfulfilled.

"are just going to sit there or can we leave?"

Marek looked back to the door only to find a roughed up looking Peter standing on the side. "I was just nearly turned into ground burger fighting Shades self-replicating mutant body guard, then said lunatic gets caught in between the track and wheels causing the wheels to lock up then flip the freaking entire line 4 times it flipped on me now Ava knows I'm ok so even if I do get back she'll kill me! Marek lets just call it a day and you owe me a way home" Peter groaned.

"hahaha sounds like you've had a bad day kid" Marek laughed as he dropped his revolver to the ground "lets get out of here"

Peter limped next Marek as they both made their way back to the river bed where Colt, Rawhide and James sat on the bank staring at the carnage down the track James was puffing on a cigar when he saw Peter and Marek walk up to them.

"well is that it Marek? Your hunt finally finished?" Colt asked.

Marek went to respond when the ground shook under their and an explosion filled the air, the engine cart had exploded behind them. "how the hell did that happen?"

"how does a train that runs on coal blow up?" Peter questioned looking at Marek very bewilderedly. A train exploded behind them and he the science kid couldn't explain how.

"Shades liquid, it was a special incendiary chemical he was planning on burning D.C to ashes so his employer could mine it, guess it ignited on the train" Marek chuckled.

"oh I give up" Peter groaned "I give up and I'm going home….how the hell do I get home?"

Shade is finally disposed of and Marek is at a loss of how he feels

Ava knows Peter is alive for the most part and is kicking everyone into gear to fix the sceptre

and Peter is eager for his ride home (but how will he get there if the stone he has is only part of the sceptre?)
