Chapter 6

You know when you've made a mistake and you don't know that you did...well, I've done that a lot. When I was little I did some stupid things. Some really stupid things. Things I regret to this day. Right now...ugh, right now I've done something I told myself I would never do.

And that was forcefully put Juli in a bag.

I told myself I would never pull something like that on my furry friend, but I did. A brat by the name of Fuuto "requested" I do something about Juli, and I actually had the gall to comply.

What is wrong with me?

Presently, I am trying to get Juli to forgive me, but by the looks of things it doesn't seem to be working. We were both out in the back of the complex, I was standing under a tree looking up at Juli who was sitting on a branch with his back turned to me. I could tell he was really upset with me.

"Come one Juli, I didn't mean it," I whined.

Juli snorted. "Bah, you let down your defenses. Perhaps today's incident will teach you to listen to me."

"Oh come on, I know it was weird, but I was going to stop him before Yusuke opened my door." He knew I wasn't keen on being touched, especially by a stuck up brat like Fuuto.

Juli humphed and upturned his head. "He's a savage, incapable of reason."

I rolled my eyes and moved my hand to pinch the bridge of my nose. "Geez...come down will ya?," Juli made no move to look back at me, "I'm going back inside to help Ukyo with dinner. With or without you." He still didn't move. I let out a sigh and scowled up at him. "Fine, see if I care." I turned around and made my way back to the complex, leaving Juli alone.

The nerve of that dumb squirrel. I mean doesn't he know I can't stand being touched. I was practically blackmailed into letting Fuuto into my room!

My shoulders slumped as I entered through the back door of the complex, taking off my shoes and setting them down near the door. I clearly wasn't paying attention as I entered through the next door cause I didn't see Tsubaki and Azusa heading my way.

"Yo, Risa! What's up," Tsubaki called out to me with his usual grin. Azusa nodded his head at me in greeting.

I blinked at them then gave a small smile. "Nothing much. What are you two up to?"

Tsubaki shrugged. "Nothing much. Azusa and I were going to the convenient store to buy some snacks and drink. We're going to be up pretty late working on our lines for this new game that's coming out soon."

Azusa twiddled with his glasses as he sighed wearily. "We got a long night ahead of us if we really want to nail this one." His brother chuckled and threw an arm around his shoulder, pulling him close to him.

"Don't worry bro, we got this," Tsubaki grinned and turned his attention to me, "We would invite you to come with us but that would get in the way of your beauty sleep, and you wouldn't want that would you." His grin widened. " I sure wouldn't."

...Okay. "Uh, yeah. I'll see you guys later. I have to help Ukyo with dinner."

"Okay!" Tsubaki unhooked his arm from around Azusa's shoulder and walked up to me with a gleam in his eye. "Make sure to save me an extra plate, okay Risa," his voice lowered an octave as he leaned his face towards me.

I took a small step back since Tsubaki was pretty much in my personal space. "I'll be sure to do that. The same goes for you too Azusa." I tilted my head to the side so I could see him.

Azusa smiled. "Thanks, I appreciate that." He walked over to Tsubaki and pulled him back by the back of his collar, away from me, then proceeded to drag him to the door. "Let's go."

Tsubaki pouted as he looked to his brother then turned back to look at me. "Bye bye Risa!" He waved at me right before the door shut behind them.

"...Wait till I tell Misaki someone stole her nickname for me. She'll have a cow," I giggled to myself. She was so possessive of that name that she told everyone in class to call me by my full name and only my full name, anything else she owned. I laughed so hard that day, I thought I was going to die from not being able to breath.

I stifled my laughter as I made my way into the kitchen. I saw Ukyo standing in front of the counter with that same frilly pink apron again...Okay, I really don't want to but just the sight of that thing makes me laugh. That thing does not suit him at all.

"Oh you're here, I was just about to come and get you." Ukyo set down the knife he was using to cut the meat in front of him. He picked up a red apron that was sitting next to him and handed it to me.

"Really?" I took the apron and tied it around my neck and waist. "You didn't really have to. I was coming straight to the kitchen anyway."

Ukyo blinked. "Is that so, well...okay then. Uh, let's get started on dinner shall we." He picked up the knife in front of him and began to chop the meat while I got to work on making the curry. Tonight was an all rounder, meaning everyone gets their own special dish per request. I asked Ukyo if we could do this a few day ago and he said it was alright with him, as long as everyone asked for something small and less frustrating to cook then he was fine with it. Tsubaki, being his usual self, requested for me to and I quote 'make his food with love' whatever that means. I was just going to make his food and add a little flavor to it.

I smiled down at the bowls placed in front of me. Even though some of the boys got on my nerves, cough Fuuto cough, I still kinda liked them, so I'm going to put a lot into these meals.

They are going to be my brothers after all

"Chi! Make sure you keep your guard up," Juli chirped from the counter, furrowing his brows together as he gave a pointed glare to Ukyo. I chuckled patting his head with my right hand.

"Oh Juli, you have nothing to worry about." No one was going to attack me.

"That's what you think," I heard him mutter under his breath. I looked down at him in confusion.

What does he mean by that?

"Ugh, this is so difficult," Misaki whined laying her forehead against her desk, "I don't know which school to go to!"

I sweat dropped smiling down at her. "Which one's were you looking to go to?"

"Well, my dad has been insisting on me applying and taking the entrance exams for Kyoto University since he went there, but I want to go to Hokkaido University since we have relatives there. It'll make for a better commute home than staying at some stuffy 'ol college dorm."

"Poor Misaki-chan, you have a heavy burden to carry don't you?" I gave a her a pat on the head lightly ruffling her hair.

Misaki sighed blissfully from my touch. "Yeah, I do. Where do you plan on going Risa?"

Oh boy. "I haven't really thought of where I want to go yet. I know I want to major in art but..." There were plenty of Universities that offered scholarships for art, but most of them were not around this area much less this city. Although there is one school out here that has classes for my major but it's pretty difficult to get into. I'll have to look into it later though.

"Uh huh, well it looks like you're not the only one struggling." Misaki pointed her finger towards the back of the classroom. I followed where she was pointing and saw Yuusuke staring down at a piece of paper on his desk, probably the same one I have currently in my hands. Darn the teachers for handing this out to us. I may have good grades but adding something like this to my list of worries puts stress on a girl. I have enough to worry about as it is!

"Looks like Yuu-kun is having some trouble too," Misaki grinned, "You should go and talk to him. Don't worry, I'll still be here when you're done." She says that but I have a feeling she'll try and ditch me while I'm not paying attention.

I scooted my chair back and got up walking over to Yuusuke with a small smile. He looked like he was really suffering over this. He's not the only one. "Hey, ya trying to pick which school to go to?"

Yuusuke jumped in his seat staring up at me in shock. I must have really surprised him. "Ah...uh, I mean hello, what's up?"

I giggled. "Nothing much."

"Ehehee, uh, what about you, have you picked yet?"

"Eh, more or less." I'm still contemplating whether or not I should look into Subaru's school. I'm going to have to ask him about it later today.

"So, is there something you wanted from me," Yuusuke asked turning his body away from me.

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you about whose name I should put under guardian." Rintarou, scuse me, 'dad' wasn't here to do that.

Yuusuke blinked. "Oh yeah, your old man's been working over seas for awhile now huh?"

I let out a small sigh, staring down at the paper in my hand. "Yeah, he told me he wouldn't be able to make it back until next month for the wedding. It's such a drag."

"Gotcha. So he's pretty much coming back in time just to get hitched." I gave an unladylike snort at that.

"Heh, yeah, but in all honesty I can't wait for him to come back. I mean it's felt like centuries since I've seen him, you know." Dad's called me periodically asking how I've been doing, but that's not the same as seeing him in person. I need some sense of normalcy in my life, and that's dad.

Yuusuke gave a breathy chuckle. "Right. It's kind of the same for me and my brothers sometimes. For now why don't you just put Masaomi's name down. I'll ask him to deal with it."

Eh? "What? Like on my form? He wouldn't mind?"

"Hey, no problem. Our parents are getting married aren't they? We'll all be family soon enough, so no sweat."

I blinked, looking slightly put back by what I was just told, then I smiled. "You're absolutely right! It isn't really a big deal. Thanks Yuusuke, I appreciate it."

"H-Hey no skin off my back, not like it's a big deal."

"Well it's a big deal to me."

"Yo, Risa-chan, you coming or what," I heard Misaki shout my name from outside of the classroom. I turned my head slightly to see her standing there waving her hands back and forth with a wide grin on her face.

"I'm coming Misa, just hold on a second." I turned my attention back to Yuusuke and smiled. "Hey, thanks again for this. I'll see you at home." With one last smile and wave I walked off towards my desk to get my bag.

"Cool, see ya," I heard Yuusuke say before I was out of range. As I stopped next to my desk, picking up my bag by its strap and putting it on my shoulder, I shifted my eyes down at the paper in my hand. I smiled clenching it lightly as I headed for the door where Misaki was waiting for me.

"What took you slow poke," she said, poking my side with her right index finger and pouting.

I rolled my eyes and answered. "I was just asking Yuusuke who's name I should put on this form. He told me that I could put the eldest name up here."

Misaki whistled. "Wow, if he says to do that then the eldest must be that responsible of an adult." She glared down at her feet and huffed. "I wish my brothers were like that. They're such lazy bums."

"Really," I giggled, "You know one of these days you might need them."

"Yeah right. When pigs fly is when I'll ever believe that."

"You never know." Misaki raised her chin and grumbled about how her brothers would never be useful. I could only chuckle at her expense.

She would never know how envious I was of her back before I met the Asahina family. I was always alone at home, I didn't really have any friends up until I met her, so hearing her talk ill of her brothers made me feel...

Blissful.

"Hey, Risa, when is that wedding again, I want to make sure I have the right date before I tell my parents about it."

"Uh, it's next month, but I'm not sure when the date is either." Misaki frowned at me, walking closer to me and wrapping her arms around mine.

"Oh come on! You gotta know when Risa, or else I won't be able to come. You don't want that do you?"

My eye twitched. Of all faces she could give me it just had to be the puppy dog one. She knows how much I can't resist that one. Geez.

I sighed. "Okay, okay, I'll keep you updated-"

"Yay!"

"-But don't call me every single minute. I hate when you do that."

Misaki giggled. "Okay! Oooh, I can't wait till next month. I get to dress up with you." She continued on with how we'll be just as beautiful as the bride to be, and how we'll steal the spot light. I couldn't help the grin that slowly appeared on my face as I watched her facial expressions change as she spoke.

It was nice to have friends, or in my case, a best friend.

After I got home I waited till Masaomi arrived. I didn't really have much to do since a certain someone-Ukyo-did a large majority of the house work and cooking. So, that pretty much left me with nothing to do for a few hours.

A little bit later, Masaomi had finally made it home looking pretty tired. Taking care of sick kids must be a hassle.

"Hey Masaomi," I greeted, watching as he walked into the room. He looked surprised to see me sitting on the couch waiting for him.

"Arisa, you were waiting for me?"

"Yeah. I, uh, wanted to ask you something," I said nervously. Masaomi gave me a strange look before he set down his bag and walked over to where I was sitting. As he took his seat next to me I slowly took out the paper from earlier. The paper caught his attention as I set it down on the coffee table in front of us.

"What's this," he asked me with piqued curiosity. I said nothing and watched as he picked the paper up to take a closer look. His eyes widened a bit as he read through it. "This is-"

"Yeah, it's 'the' paper. I know my dad isn't here to sign this for me, and neither is your mother. So, I was thinking, maybe you could sign it for me. I-I know you're busy but I just thought that-"

"I'll sign it," Masaomi answered, rather quickly I might add.

I blinked, looking shocked that he would just agree without asking me why. "Are you sure? I mean I could just ask one of the others?"

He shook his head turning to me, giving me a small smile. "Really, I don't mind. In fact I'm flattered that you would ask me to sign this for you."

A smile stretched across my face from hearing him say that. "Really? I'm glad then." Masaomi kept his smile on his face as he took out a pen and signed the blank box, then he took out what looked like a stamp. He pressed the stamp down on the paper then lifted it up for me to see. There stamped on the paper was his signature in red.

"There we go, now it's official," Masaomi said lifting his stamp up from the paper.

I smiled down at the seal with a feeling of warmth going through me. "I really appreciate this. I'm sorry if this is something of a hassle for you."

Masaomi shook his head as he stood up from the couch. "No problem at all little lady. If there's anything else you need don't hesitate to ask."

"Okay, I'll remember that for next time," I nodded happily. I watched as Masaomi gave me one last look before walking away, then I turned my attention down to the paper on the table in front of me, lifting it up for a closer look.

"Your happy," Juli said popping up in my lap from out of nowhere, "These parent teacher conference things, I never thought they were a ton of fun."

I shrugged. "Me neither, I actually think they're boring, but you know...it's been a long time since anyone has done something like this for me so it, changes things." I sighed feeling that warm feeling return to my chest as I stared at Juli. "I don't know, it makes me feel pretty happy, you know?"

Juli's eyes looked like they were glistening as he stared up at me as he said, "Sure chi, as long as you're happy."

"D'aw," I gushed moving a hand to ruffle Juli's fur, "You're going to make me blush you goof." A small giggle escaped past my lips in spite of how much I actually giggle, which was never. It was only at certain moments of my life where I would actually let my guard down to do it.

"Well hello there little sis," a deep flirtatious voice said interrupting this wonderful moment.

My eye twitched a little as I turned to look towards the steps. There standing at the base of the steps was Kaname wearing his usual priest garb with his usual flirtatious grin on his face. He walked over towards where me and Juli were smiling all the while.

"I was on my way down to the kitchen when I happened to see you sitting here," Kaname said tilting his head to the side. "I was curious as to what you were doing and here I am."

"...Uh, okay. Hi," I said albeit awkwardly. I wasn't really sure what to say to him. I mean he just came downstairs and happened to notice me, that's pretty straightforward.

Kaname took a few steps closer to me eliciting a hiss from Juli, whom he ignored. "I just wanted to say how happy I am to see you today. I also wanted to tell you that if you need anything, anything at all, all you have to do is ask your big bro." He gave a dramatic sweep of his arm in front of him as if he were bowing, but it was more like he was presenting himself to me.

I didn't know what to say to that so I just nodded in response.

"Good, well that's all I wanted to tell you. I'll be sure to speak with you again later on little sis." Kaname was super close now and before I could back away he had taken my hand and lightly pressed his lips to it, just like he did the first day I met him.

"Gah! What do you think you're doing," Juli screamed sounding very hysterical right now. He looked kind of frazzled too.

"U-um." I couldn't really get a word out, I was too flustered to respond to his sudden act of intimacy, if it could even be called that. He only kissed my hand.

Kaname slowly backed away from my hand and gently began to let go, with his hand lingering on my finger tips for a few seconds longer before completely letting go. He stood up straight and smiled down at me. "I'll see you later little sis." And just like that he walked away sending one last glance my way.

What the heck was that? Why on earth did he do that?

Juli crossed his arms over his furry chest and huffed. "That darn wolf, he hasn't learned the meaning of personal space yet."

I chuckled nervously slowly wiping the back of my hand on the couch. "Y-Yeah, but he's not as bad as powder head, or Subaru for that matter." The images from the Subaru's birthday flooded back into my mind. I could still feel him hovering over me, and then k-k-kiss me on the lips. I know it was an accident, but the fact that he kissed me...

My cheeks flushed a little at the thought and I furiously shook my head.

"No need to think about that." Subaru apologized for what he said, and the twins got him back for the other stuff, so I was fine...

I think.

"Hah," I sighed, " I need to go to bed. There's no use in thinking about this stuff anymore." I ignored Juli's questioning looks as I got up from the couch with my paper in hand. Juli scurried up my arm to stand on my right shoulder.

"No use lingering around down here. Wouldn't want you to run into anymore of those wolves before bed," Juli admonished giving the stairs a glare.

I chuckled lightly. "Of course Juli."

The next day was pretty hectic since it was the start of Parent teacher conferences. Misaki had already had hers before me so she said she would wait for me. I had told her it was fine but she insisted on staying the amount of time it took for these conferences to end. It's sweet of her for wanting to wait that long, but I know her well enough that she's not as patient as she says she is. And as her best friend I can attest to that.

Currently, Yusuke, the teacher and I were sitting down in an almost empty room waiting for our 'guardian' to arrive. Now I wasn't sure on who was supposed to arrive today, but I was pretty sure that Masaomi was coming today.

The sound of a sliding door opening could be heard from the side of the room, making the three of us turn in anticipation. When I saw who it was standing outside of the door I immediately frowned.

"What the heck is Kaname doing here, and why is he dressed like a host," I thought staring the man up and down as he entered the classroom.

"Hello, allow me to thank you for looking after my delinquent of a brother and adorable little sister," Kaname grinned. He stared over at us, more specifically me, and winked.

"Whoa, what are you doing here Kaname," Yusuke asked in surprise as he stood up from his seat.

My thought exactly dude.

"Well, Masaomi got called away for a medical emergency, and I happened to be free so he asked me to fill in for him."

"U-Uh," I awkwardly sighed out in time with Yusuke.

Was this guy for real?

I could just hear the sounds of crickets in the background. It was so quiet.

"Wait, why are the four of us in one meeting," Yusuke asked giving Kaname a look of suspicion.

Kaname paid the look no mind and answered. "No need to take up any time more than necessary. Isn't that right beautiful," he asked as he turned to the teacher.

Oh kami, why?

The teacher, bless her heart, nodded stiffly. "R-Right."

Kaname moved his hand to my desk first -I inwardly cringed at that- and picked up the piece of paper, looking over it with curiosity.

"Hmm, my my, you put the college Suba's going to as your top choice."

I nodded. "Yeah, that's right. Is there a problem with that?"

Kaname shook his head. "No, but I was wondering whether you were deciding to go there because Subaru's going there? If that's the case I'll cry."

"Uh no, it's most definitely a coincidence," I assured him turning away from his faux-sad gaze. Darn this man and his extreme gazes.

"And Yusuke, you left your list of preferred college blank," Kaname pointed out moving his gaze over to the red head sitting next to me.

"Uh," was what came out of Yusuke's mouth as he tried to speak.

Kanme tilted his head and arched a thin brow. "You don't want to go to college?"

I inwardly sighed at the situation. Why'd this guy have to put Yusuke on the spot like that? If I were in his position right now I'd be extremely uncomfortable, as well as embarrassed.

Yusuke gave me a small glance before he gulped and said, "I want to go there to."

Okay, hang on, what does that me-

"Which one," Kaname asked him, a smirk slowly forming on his face.

Yusuke abruptly got up out of his seat and practically yelled. "I just told you, weren't you listening! I'm going to the same college as her!"

"Huh?" He wants to what?

"Please, there's no need to yell," the teacher reprimanded giving Yusuke a stern look.

"O-Oh, sorry," Yusuke apologized as he quickly sat back down in his seat. His cheeks were kind of red and his shoulders were kind stiff, not to mention he was avoiding my face.

Kaname smiled. "Well, there you have it. Looks like Yusuke is going to college after all. Guess my job here is done." He pushed back his chair and got up, then made his way to the door.

"U-Uh wait, the conference isn't done yet," the female teacher called after him.

"Nonsense, they've both decided on where they want to go. Wasn't that what this conference was for?"

"Y-Yes but-"

Kaname grinned. "Then everything is settled," He shifted his eyes over to us, "I'll see you later little sis."

"Hey," Yusuke blanched at the sudden disregard of his presence.

"Oh, and Yusuke. Be sure to head home as soon as you leave here." With that Kaname left giving one last wave and a wink at me shutting the sliding door behind him.

The female teacher stared at the door in shock with her mouth slightly agape. She blinked a few times before finally collecting herself and turning back to us.

"W-Well I guess this concludes the parent teacher conference for the both of you. You can leave your sheets her and head on home."

Yusuke and I nodded. "Okay." I watched as the teacher stood up from her seat and grabbed both of out papers then headed towards the exit of the room, leaving me and Yusuke here alone.

It was quiet now, and kind of awkward.

"U-um, if you're already to go we can head out now," Yusuke suggested slinging his bag over his shoulder.

I nodded picking up my own. "Sure, lets go." The both of us walked out of the classroom in silence, having nothing else to say. It was a quiet walk down the hall too since there weren't that many people left in the building, well besides a few students and teachers.

At the sound of rapid foot falls I stopped walking. Yusuke gave me a questioning look.

"What's wrong," he asked. My answer was a pointed look to the end of the hall. I raised my hand and pointed so he could see what I meant. He followed my finger until he saw what I was talking about. "...Oh."

"Yeah." Down the hall, running like a mad woman, was none other than Misaki grinning widely with her charmed bag swinging back and forth.

"Risa-chan," Misaki called out to me waving her arm back and forth.

I lowered my hand a bit and waved at her. "Hi Misaki, were you waiting long?"

Misaki shook her head stopping directly in front of me. "No, I had just gotten done with club stuff so I decided to head up here to meet you." She turned to look at Yusuke giving him a nod in greeting. "What's up Yusuke-kun?"

Yusuke blinked at her forward behavior. "Uh, nothing much? How about you?"

"Nothing much," she shrugged and turned her attention back to me. "Since you're done let's head out. I don't want to waste any time."

I could feel my brows furrow in confusion. "What? Wait what do you me-" I was cut off by Misaki grabbing my hand and pulling me down the hall.

"H-Hey," I heard Yusuke call after us.

Misaki waved back at him. "Don't worry, I'll bring her back to your home in one piece." She continued onward pulling me behind her without thinking to let go of me. We ended up all the way down stairs near where the students kept their shoes. I was made to quickly put on my shoes before Misaki pulled me along again out of the front door to the outside.

"Misaki, where are you taking me?"

"We're going to get out nails done," was her simple response.

"...We're going to get our nails done?" Is she serious?

Misaki looked back at me and grinned showing all of her teeth. "Yeah, I thought since the wedding was getting closer that we should at least get something done together."

I blinked. "Uh, you do know that the school doesn't really allow make-up, or the like. If they see that we have our nails done-"

"They won't find out," Misaki responded giving me a mischievous smirk. Oh no.

"Misaki, I love rebellion as much as the next guy, but I'd like to stay off of the teachers radar." I narrowed my eyes at her. She was ignoring me.

I sighed. I guess it was best not to fight her on this. "Okay, fine, I'll let this slide once, but we are not doing something that'll get me in trouble with the teachers, again." I inwardly winced at the seething glares of the gym teacher that had caught Misaki and I on her last escapade of mischief.

I never wanted to be in class more than I did that day. Ugh, so many laps.

Hours after my little trip to the Nail salon with Misaki, I had finally made it home in one piece. I was so tired that I headed straight to my room, not forgetting to say hi to everyone that was home. Tsubaki made sure to hug me as soon as he saw me, much to my dismay. Luckily Azusa was there to drag him away.

About a few hours later, after settling down and getting changed I had started studying. Since I knew what college I was going to-after grueling over which one I wanted to go to for days-I was bent on working harder than I have before. I wanted to make sure my GPA stayed in the safe zone in which I mean a nice 3.90. Yeah I should work for a 4.0 but I'm just that lazy. I spent a good hour and a half studying, that is until I got a little frustrated and decided I need something to eat. I can't work without food.

I headed downstairs, making my way to the kitchen. Once there I opened the fridge and began pull out simple ingredients for a small rice bowl, with an added bonus of shrimp and vegetables. I know it's weird to eat this so late, so sue me.

"Oh hi, I didn't think you'd still be up," I heard someone say from behind me. I turned and saw Ukyo standing at the edge of the kitchen with a small smile on his face. "Late night study session?"

"Yep. I needed a little pick me up since I'm going to be up for a while." It would take maybe a few more hours of study time until I was sure I knew all of the material I needed.

Ukyo nodded in understanding. "Of course, good luck."

I chuckled. "Thanks." I continued my ministrations, adding a few more pieces of broccoli to my rice bowl, while trying to make sure not to burn myself with hot tea. I heard footsteps from next to me so I figured Ukyo had decided to stick around.

"That takes me back, I used to do the same thing when I was a student," He said sounding reminiscent.

I smiled. "Is that so-Oh!" I gasped a little in shock when I felt something being draped over my shoulders. I turned and saw that Ukyo had taken off his jacket and put it on me.

"Here," he said, "Remember the most important thing is to try and stay healthy. The wedding is coming up soon after all. We don't want you to catch a cold."

"Yeah, thanks for telling me that. I'll be sure to be careful," I said smiling up at Ukyo as I gripped onto the edges of his jacket.

Ukyo smiled back at me and he opened his mouth to speak again but he was cut off by the sound of footsteps.

I turned to see who else had entered into the kitchen and was shocked to see a woman with long auburn hair and stylish clothes on.

"Whoa, talk about gorgeous. I wonder if she's related to the others," I thought staring at the woman in awe. Before I could speak the woman suddenly wrapped her arms around me giving me a hug.

"Eh?" I blinked in surprise blushing a little at the closeness. Geez, I'm being too lenient with people, seriously.

"Are you my new sister," mystery woman asked me sounding as if she already knew the answer.

"I, uh." I had no words. I heard Ukyo sigh in what sounded like bemusement, why I had no idea.

The woman finally removed her arms from around my person and took a few steps back to look at me. "Nice to meet you. My name's Hikaru," she introduced herself. "I'm the fourth son in the family."

Hang on, what?! Did this chick just say fourth son?

"Wait a minute, did you just say son," I asked in exclamation my eyes wide in shock. Oh kami I think I have a headache.

"Don't let the way he's dressed fool you. Hikaru is quite eccentric but still a man," Ukyo said looking quite disgruntled with his eyes closed and his arms crossed. "One of our illustrious thirteen."

"Oh, uh, you make a pretty...woman." I really didn't know what to say much less think in a situation like this.

Hikaru smiled and raised his hand out at me. "Welcome to the clan, glad you're here."

I stared down at his hand in surprise before taking it in mine. "Yeah thanks. It's uh, been interesting around here." A voice in the back of my mind that sounded suspiciously like Juli said 'speak for yourself'. I knew the voice was right though. A whole lot of stuff has happened since I've moved here.

Ukyo turned his attention away from me to look at his brother. "You should have called us instead you pop up in the middle of the night, and how long have you been back in Japan?"

Hikaru titled his head at his brother and smiled. "Well it's great to see you too big brother."

I had to stifle a laugh at Ukyo's expression. He looked a little miffed at Hikaru's response to his stern talking to.

"If you must know I was sent here on a mission," Hikaru announced catching my attention again.

"Huh, a mission?" I stared at the effeminate man in curiosity watching as he set the large bag he had in his other hand down on the counter, then proceeded to dig around in it taking out two boxed. One box was small while the other one was a little bit bigger. Hikaru handed me the boxes keeping his eyes trained on my face.

"I was sent to deliver these," he answered.

I stared down at the boxes looking slightly put off by the sudden gift giving. "Uh, what are these?"

Hikaru let out a breathy chuckle. "They're packages sent with love." He winked at me and smiled.

...Love?

Back in my room, I set down the boxes on my floor sitting myself down in front of them. Juli scurried on over to stand on my desk looking down at what I had brought with a curious look in his eyes.

I opened up the first box that being the big one, and what I saw made my eyes go wide. "What the-" There laying in the box was a a scoop necked, short sleeved, knee length white linen dress. "Pretty," I breathed out in awe. I opened the smaller box next revealing a pair of white strapped heel sandals.

"Boy," was all I could say. I mean I was too surprised to even have a response. I then noticed something attached to the bigger box. It was a note.

"You're father and I bought these for you. Thank you for giving me the joy of picking out a beautiful dress for a beautiful daughter. With love, Miwa."

"I-I don't know what to say," I choked a bit. I could feel my eyes water up a bit as I read over the note again. "T-This is too much." I pulled the dress out of the box-after setting the note aside-and stared at it some more. If I didn't know any better I bet dad told his fiancee a little too much about me. I'd have thought they would have sent something a little more conservative and...pink, but I guess dad had other plans.

"I gotta send Misaki a pic of this." I squealed a little not really caring if I did or not and quickly picked up my phone off of my desk.

I had to share this with someone besides Juli.

Hello everyone! I know it's been a long time since I've updated this...like a long time, but I did. Ya happy now? So, I'm sorry if the wedding wasn't in this chapter. I stayed up late typing this out and I got really tired. I needed to rest. The next chapter will have the wedding at the very beginning so don't fret.

I hope to see some nice reviews. I won't read 'em if they're rude T_T.

See you all next chapter!
