Good Things Happen with Time
Chapter 13
Lucy's POV
Ian's gentle hands caressing my naked body force me to stir from my peaceful slumber. His lips trail up my exposed spine until he reaches the base of my neck. I can feel the sheets are loosely bunched around my waist leaving my entire torso to be exposed. Moaning ever so softly I bury my head deeper into my pillow. Ian's faint chuckle causes goosebumps to arise on my skin.
"I know you are awake, Goose."
Snuggling the pillow in front of me even tighter I shake my head in denial.
"No. Let me sleep." I grunt in disapproval.
Ian's fingertips swirl around my bare hip in a teasing manner. Ever so slowly they guide the white sheets further down my thighs where he successfully exposes my entire body.
"If you wake up now then I will have enough time to give you a proper good morning reward for waking up. Otherwise I am going to have to leave you alone, naked, and unsatisfied in our bed while I leave for my meeting."
I gasp faintly and adjust my hips feeling his teasing fingers ease between my thighs to push them apart. Chewing on my bottom lip I struggle to remain still; my body is aching to wiggle in pleasure right now.
"Your body wants me to touch you Lucy. Are you going to give into your body's needs? Or, are you going to instead make yourself suffer and go unsatisfied until I see you tomorrow?"
Spreading my legs wider for him, I welcome his hand to my most sensitive location.
"Please Ian," I murmur ever so softly into the silent air.
His hand strokes me at first to get me started. After a couple minutes Ian shifts down the bed where he slips his head between my thighs. My eyes clench shut and I hug the pillow with all my might as I struggle to keep my hands off of Ian.
Ian is flying out to New York City on Monday to film a small job he just picked up as a feature role in some TV show for the week. Much to my displeasure that means I am forced to refrain from leaving any marks of the sorts on Ian. I cannot leave any trace of my nails digging into his skin from massive orgasmic pleasure. I cannot bite his neck aggressively nor may I leave any hickeys. Unfortunately I am to keep my mouth and hands to myself until he has returned from his trip.
A week from today Ian will be returning home and I will finally be allowed to claim him as mine again. God. One whole week until I can dig my nails into his back and scream loudly in bliss. Then again, I cannot complain too much about our current alternative option. Ian had me handcuffed to the bed last night when I bashfully refused to behave.
Ian's tongue flicking my clit vigorously causes my mind to drift away from last night's dirty actions and bring me to our present ones. My thighs squeeze the sides of his face involuntarily needing to bring him even closer to my aching vagina.
Whimpering loudly I struggle to hold off on my high. It all feels so good I do not want to climax yet. However, at the same time I am pulsing for him to push me over the edge.
Several more minutes pass by until I reluctantly give into my body trembling orgasm. I scream loudly into my pillow and dig my nails into the feather pillow though it doesn't compare to yanking on Ian's tendrils.
We lounge here for a minute allowing my body to ride out the entire climax.
"While I do wish we could have stayed in Nashville longer than we did, that is definitely something we couldn't have done under my parent's roof." I exhale in happiness.
It did suck having to leave my parent's house first thing Monday morning in order to get back home in time for filming later that afternoon. At the end of the day, I'd rather take a rushed weekend with my family over no time at all.
Ian slips up the bed to hover over me. Pushing me off of my side to now lay on my back, I stare straight into his breathtakingly blue eyes.
"You know I would love to continue this, but sadly I really do need to get going."
"I wish you were on set today." I pout like a small child on the verge of a fit and tug on one of his belt loops to keep him close to me.
Ian chuckles and presses a kiss to my pouting lips. "Luce, I've been on set all week. You just have to make it through today and all of next week without me there."
Reluctantly Ian hops up off of the bed to his feet.
"Text me after your meetings finish, let me know how they go." I mumble in the midst of yawning.
He pressing one last lingering kiss to my forehead then exits our bedroom.
Rolling over to glance at the clock on his nightstand I find myself pouting in distain. It is already 10:47. I am due on set at 1 which means I need to start getting around. By the time I take a shower, get dressed, and scrounge up some lunch it will be time for me to head out of here and off to work.
It takes a vast amount of will power to force myself out of my welcoming bed rather than bury myself under the sheets. Five minutes later I manage to place my feet on the chilled hardwood floor and begin my day.
Today has been a somewhat crappy day on set. We have a mass amount of scenes to power through today consisting of several additional characters outside of the norm of the four of us girls. Marlene and Norman are working together to act as our producers and directors for this episode.
Norman has been rather short with me as well as Ashley all morning. For whatever reason I cannot seem to remember my lines which is highly unlikely for me. Troian can tell I have been getting upset with myself for struggling through my scenes. She has tried to reassure me it is fine and has been running through lines with me between every take. Ashely on the other hand has been screwing around all morning and even managed to spoil a couple storylines due to her constant snapchatting.
"Okay ladies, let's take this scene from the top. Vanessa I want you to use more force. Remember, CeCe is trying to attack the girls since they have discovered the truth about your character." Norman directs then takes his seat to observe.
"Everyone in your places!" Marlene shouts to hurry us along. "Action."
Trying my hardest I act as if I am not struggling to recite my lines. The extra run through Troian has been giving me between takes has certainly helped. I smile to myself when I deliver my final line perfectly. While it is nice filming in a different setting for a change, I miss our usual household sets. This fake industrial warehouse is chilly and I hate how high up we are on these platforms.
Once Troian barks out her witty Spencer line CeCe turns to attack Aria. I am supposed to firmly grasp onto Vanessa's forearms in order to keep myself steady as we "wrestle" around the set. Right as we slightly shift in a circular motion I lose my barely there grasp on Vanessa. I involuntarily gasp at the feeling of losing my balance and being directed towards the metal makeshift railing.
A loud shriek emits from my lungs when my back collides with the metal forcefully. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. Just when I think I am going to be okay, I realize I most definitely am not. The second my body makes impact with the horizontal metal pole it gives away thus causing me to fall from the platform.
I cry out loudly once I land on the hard concrete flooring. My eyes flutter rapidly in attempt to refocus my vision. I vaguely notice Ashley, Shay, and Sasha staring down at me from high above. In the distance I hear Troian yelling my name in a panic.
My heart is rapidly racing in my chest. I am struggling to breathe. My entire body feels numb momentarily.
"Lucy, Lucy hey. Are you okay? Can you hear me? Say something, anything."
Troian is now hovering over me. Her hand grasps ahold of mine to squeeze it in a soothing manner.
"I—I can't…. Can't breathe." I whimper between gasps of air.
Troian tells me to close my eyes and focus on breathing. She assures me I merely got the wind knocked out of me from the fall. Listening to her words I attempt to do as she says.
Once she has gotten my breathing regulated to a normal pace I begin to feel the pain taking over my body.
"What hurts?" She asks in a knowing manner upon noticing my wincing.
"My back is screaming in pain right now. And… And." Tears well up in my eyes abruptly.
"What is it, Luce?"
Glancing around the room I notice everyone hovering somewhat close. The room full of shocked actors give me plenty of space due to Troian demanding everyone give me room to breathe and calm down. Not wanting to say the terrifying words aloud I merely place my hand subtly on my stomach.
Troian's eyes trail down my body to see what I was motioning to.
"Oh fuck." The color completely drains from her face and is replaced by fear.
Troian snaps out of her terrified state seconds later. "She needs to go to the hospital to get checked out. Right now."
"We already called for the studio physician to come over. He will be here in about fifteen minutes." Norman announces in a monotone voice.
"No! She needs to see a real doctor not some wanna be fake EMT."
Troian places her hand behind my back to help ease me up into a sitting position. Once the dizziness subsides she guides me up to my feet.
"Why don't you have a seat right here Lucy? Dave will be here in no time. I'm sure he will get you cleared and back on your feet before you know it." Marlene directs in attempt to usher Lucy over to her chair.
"Everyone I want you to run through your lines and prepare for another take. We have eight more scenes to block tonight so we best be getting started. Lucy will rejoin us here shortly." Norman announces to the worried group.
"Are you both insane? The girl is incredibly petite and just fell two stories! I am taking her to the hospital right now." Troian snaps fiercely at the two older adults.
Everyone else on set remains deadly quiet in fear of Troian snapping at them as well. Ashley, Sasha, and Shay offer to come with us though I shake my head in denial. I only want Troian to take me. With that, we head off the set slowly towards the parking lot.
She doesn't remove her arms from around my body until we reach her car. Troian helps me climb up into her high set vehicle prior to getting in herself. A moment later we are speeding down the highway to the nearest hospital. Placing my hand on my barely noticeable baby bump I pray everything is okay.
Troian's POV
I have been pacing this damn waiting room for the past forty-five minutes. They have yet to let me go see Lucy. Apparently due to the fact that I am not an immediate family member I have to wait out here instead of at Lucy's side. Despite the fact that we both insisted on me remaining at Lucy's side, they didn't agree.
Snotty ass Beverly Hills Hospital and their stupid policies.
As soon as I walked out of Lucy's room upon admitting her, I dug my phone out of my jeans pocket to call Ian. I have flooded his phone with calls as well as text messages with zero response.
Fifty-three minutes.
God I need to stop staring at the damn clock on the wall.
The shrill ring emitting from the small devise in my hands breaks my gaze from the clock.
"Where the hell have you been? I have been texting and calling you nonstop for an hour!" I chastise the man whom is just barely younger than me.
"I am so sorry I was in a business meeting and had my phone off. I am headed to the hospital now. How is Lucy? Is the baby okay? What happened?"
"I—I don't know." Running a round hand through my hair I finally crumble down into a chair behind me.
"I haven't heard a word yet from anyone. She fell off of a set that wasn't structurally sound. How close are you?"
"I will be there in twenty minutes."
Nodding my head in confirmation I glance at the clock yet again.
"I will text you her room number and everything. I told the nurses to keep her name quiet as I don't want a fuss to be made about her being here."
"Thank you Troian. Truly, thank you for everything." The heartbreak is evident in Ian's voice.
We mutter a few more exchanges prior to hanging up the phone. I rapidly type out the info he needs to locate Lucy.
"Miss?" A young nurse with platinum blonde hair approaches me hesitantly. "You may go see your friend now."
Jumping up from my seat I scurry down the hall to find Lucy. Rushing into her room I find my tiny friend is now wearing a basic white hospital gown and is tucked under the sheets. Lucy turns towards the door upon hearing my heels on the tile floor.
"Are you and the baby okay?" I ask in desperation though I also fear the answer.
Lucy nods her head with a bright smile. "We are both okay. The doctor gave me something for my back pain which is already helping. My head responded perfectly to all of their tests so they don't fear I caused any damage during the fall."
Relief washes over me and I finally feel as if I can breathe.
"Ian is on his way; he was caught up in some meeting I guess."
Lucy reaches her arms out wishing for a hug. "Thank you for making sure we were okay."
Reaching out I drag the grey arm chair across the room and place it next to her bed. Lucy and I share small talk for a while as we wait for Ian to arrive.
We are broken from our giggling fit when Ian rushes into the room.
"Baby what happened? Are you and the baby okay?" Ian is flooding us with never ending questions. Lucy finally has to put her hand up to stop his rambling.
"We are both perfect. I managed to fall off of a set earlier and was in a lot of pain so Troian rushed me here. They have assured me the baby is safe and healthy."
Relief washes over Ian at Lucy's reassuring words.
"Since they are keeping you overnight would you like for me to go out and get some dinner for you two?" I offer as I rise to my feet.
"Overnight? If everything is okay why can't I take you home?"
Lucy gives Ian a calming smile. "It's just a precaution since I am pregnant."
"That would be amazing if you didn't mind? I would rather not leave her here alone. Otherwise I can go grab something if you wouldn't mind hanging out here?" Ian offers as he digs his wallet out of his jeans pocket.
Pulling my purse over my shoulder I wave him off. "Don't worry about it. You stay here and I will go pick something up."
"Wait," Lucy speaks up after a moment. "You should get back to work. You've already been gone for so long Troy. They are going to be even more pissed if you don't get back to set."
Rolling my eyes I find myself scoffing thinking back to the disgruntled messages I received earlier from Norman. "They'll be fine. I guess it's been a shit show since we left and Norman is on a tirade according to Sasha."
Lucy gnaws on her bottom lip with a slight frown. Nodding her head silently she opts to not respond verbally.
Ian texts me his and Lucy's order for Chipotle once I head out of the room. Flipping my iPhone back on I huff in annoyance knowing my phone is bound to blow up with more impatient messages demanding mine and Lucy's return. I told them Lucy was staying for the night and will not be returning to set though they aren't accepting that as an option. I understand we are under a time crunch as this is one of our biggest action packed episodes. However, nothing can excuse Norman's poor behavior in handling this situation.
Ian's POV
Lucy has been on the verge of falling asleep ever since we finished our dinner. She motions for me to climb into the cramped bed with her to snuggle to which I do not deny. Wrapping my arms around Luce, I press a lingering kiss to her forehead and hold her close.
"Get some sleep, Goose."
My eyes shoot open sometime later in shock at someone lightly shaking me awake.
"Sir, it is time for you to leave for the evening." An older nurse who seems slightly put off informs me.
Rubbing my tired eyes I struggle to wake up. Glancing over to the clock I see it is 10:12 in the evening.
"What do you mean leave? I am staying the night with her."
The slight movement in the bed causes Lucy to stir as well. "What's happening?" She mumbles into my chest.
"Visiting hours end at ten pm. You may return after eight am tomorrow."
This announcement causes Lucy to sit up straight and pull her head away from my chest.
"He can't leave; I need him here overnight." Lucy states with desperation.
The woman shakes her head with zero sympathy. "Sorry Miss, this is hospital policy. We don't allow anyone to have visitors stay in their room overnight. Visiting hours are over so you need to leave Sir."
Lucy firmly grasps ahold of my hand keeping me in her bed.
"You don't understand, I need him here. You cannot just kick him out."
The woman crosses her arms over her chest ready to start an argument. "Do I need to call security?"
"If you feel like you need to, by all means go ahead. However, Ian is not leaving this room." Lucy counters with a stern voice of her own.
With a huff the nurse exits the room to retrieve security.
"I am not leaving your side, baby." I whisper into her ear to reassure her.
Lucy curls into my side to bask in the quietness.
Several minutes later the disgruntled nurse returns with an additional nurse and two security guards.
"We understand you wish to say. Unfortunately, we have a strict hospital policy that no one is allowed to stay in a patient's room after ten. We don't want anyone roaming the ward or causing any disturbances for the other patients." The second unknown nurse informs us.
"I won't be roaming around nor will we cause any additional noise. I am not leaving her bedside. Either let me stay or else discharge her and I'll take her home. Either way, Lucy is not spending the night alone due to my own safety concerns."
The tall bulky bald security man speaks up. "What safety concerns might that be?"
Placing my hand on Ian's lap I silently tell him to let me respond.
"We are both well known in Hollywood and steer clear of being alone in situations where I can be left vulnerable. While we are sure nothing will happen, I am not comfortable being here alone. With me being pregnant, my husband and I don't want to risk putting me in any situations where my anxiety could get me worked up towards a panic attack. I need him with me. It is just one night. If you make him leave I will be awake all night feeling anxious which is not beneficial for our baby's health now is it?"
We argue back and forth with the nurses for what seems like ages. Finally they give in and allow me to stay with much reluctance. I assure them we will not cause any issues and will be out of their hair as soon as Lucy is discharged in the morning.
With all the commotion finally out of the room we are able to tuck back under the covers.
Once again I wrap my arms around Lucy's body to keep her close.
"So, husband huh?" I tease her playfully.
Lucy nudges my side with a faint giggle. "Oh hush. I figured we had a better shot if they thought we were married. Besides, it isn't like you won't be one day."
Tilting her head up ever so slightly by placing my finger under her chin, I place a lingering kiss to her soft lips.
"I love you and our baby so, so much Lucy."
Lucy presses several additional little kisses to my lips.
"I love you too, Ian. I cannot wait to start this next chapter of our lives."
Pulling the sheets higher up to our shoulders we snuggle together as close as humanly possible. With one final kiss to her forehead I shut my eyes and drift off to sleep while holding the love of my life.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your sweet responses in regards to the news I am leaving writing. You are all incredibly sweet and I love you all dearly. I cannot thank you enough.
Get ready for chapter 14! I am already halfway through it. I'm having a lot of fun writing it.
