Aquarius base has been quiet for the most part except for security teams, damage control teams, and medical teams practicing in case the Wraith attack the base, but with the iris shield they doubt the Wraith would enter the base/city through the Stargate but by the surface possibly. Doctor Zelenka knows that is why Brigadier General Horton has ordered personal to train for any kind of attack. Rodney is down in the Unman fighter bay in a simulator along with two Lantian pilots. The simulation is a Wraith attack on the base from space. John is watching the simulation with Teyla and Lieutenant Ford. The Lantian pilots are doing a lot better than McKay. He manages to shoot down eight Darts but also manage to crash a dozen times and even blow up several friendly fighters in the simulation. Ronon is in the gym sparing with some new marines. General Horton is in his quarters trying to go asleep but every time he goes off to sleep he has nightmares he decides to go see Doctor Keller. He heads to the infirmary. Zelenka is monitoring a computer screen watching for any hyperspace windows and for signs of Wraith movements within their area. Most of the Aquarius base personal is asleep except for two security teams and the techs in the control room/gateroom. "Déjà can monitor everything why do they need us?" A teche asks another teche. The other teche had no answer. All of sudden alarms sound and a technician looks at her computer screen and sees that a hyperspace window opens. A ship emerges from hyperspace.
"Get General Horton and Colonel Sheppard to the gate room tell them that a hyperspace window open." A technician pages them on their radios. Sheppard leaves the unman fighter bay and heath is leaving the infirmary with some bill Jennifer gave him to help him sleep. The technicians confirm it as the Daedalus prior to John and Heath arriving in the gateroom. The Daedalus lands on the surface of the planet. Heath, John, Rodney, and Lorne along with a security team went to go meet the Daedalus. A ramp drops and Colonel Caldwell along with his command crew is there to meet the command team of the new Pegasus Base. "Welcome back to the Aquarius Base Stephen," General Horton says.
"Thank you General Horton its good to be back," he says.
"Did you have a good flight Stephen?"
"Yes sir, a lot longer than all my previous flights to Pegasus."
"I'm sure you and your crew would like to get off your ship please feel to make yourselves at home we have plenty of room this place is bigger than Atlantis."
"I have some of your supplies including more medical supplies and food, some anti-air launchers are schedule to be on the Hammond that will be here near the end of the month. I also have additional personal for this new base. The IOA believes that a stronger military presence is required in Pegasus with everything they have learned about the Wraith since our return. A captain exits from the Hammond along with eight other officer mostly lieutenants. They salute and Heath returns the salute. Sixty-four additional military personal exits the ship carrying their gear and personal items along with twenty-six civilians including three doctors specializing in Dentinal and others professions. "Major Lorne please show our new arrivals their quarters."
"Yes sir," Lorne replies.
"There have been some developments since your departure I like to bring you up to speed colonel." Colonel Caldwell follows John, Rodney, and Heath to one of the new Atlantis base briefing rooms. A security guard hands Daedalus crew maps of the new base and gives them access codes to certain areas of the base. Heath briefs Colonel Caldwell on everything since he left for Earth. John notices a frown appear on Caldwell's face. Caldwell leaves the briefing room. Heath turns to John. "That could've gone better; I don't think Caldwell likes what I told him. I'm sure he's going to inform the IOA and General O'Neil that I need to be removed from command."
"You don't have to worry about that sir; Mr. Woolsey and General O'Neil trust you."
"John, I like you to see to getting the new personal settle and give them briefings on the Pegasus Galaxy. I got a long report to write."
"Yes sir," he answers. He leaves and General Horton returns to his office. Heath begins typing his report. He hopes that he isn't removed from command, but if he is hopefully Mr. Woolsey or Colonel Carter will return. Teyla appears at his door.
"Heath, can I have a word with you?" She asks.
"Sure Teyla come on in and take a seat." She comes into his office and sits down.
"I've wanted to thank you for sending a team to New Athos to protect them from harm."
"You're quite welcome Teyla how's Torren and the rest of the Athosians?"
"They're all doing well Holland said that they'll be bringing in some crops soon for trade."
"That's good, we are happy to trade with the Athosians for anything they might need and even give them stuff. How's Kanaan?"
"He's good glad to have Torren back." She can tell something is bothering General Horton. "Heath, are you alright?"
"It's the IOA what they might do when they read me new report."
"Heath, you're a good man and I doubt that they'll remove you from command. You saved Doctor Keller's life with your Ancient and Wraith powers."
"Thank you Teyla for your continue support?"
"You're welcome Heath." She leaves his office. He heads down to the mess hall to get some supper. Upon entering the mess hall he sees that it's not that crowded some of the crew from the Daedalus including Doctor. He sees that Colonel Sheppard and his team are sitting at a table. Heath gets his tray of food and goes and sits down at John's table. They talked about different things.
Meanwhile Jennifer Keller and Carson Beckett are off world helping some villagers who where attack and culled by the Wraith. They have been treating the wounded for an hour now all of sudden a villager runs into the hut. The young teen tells them that a squad of Genii has come through the gate. "The Genii, why would they be here?" Jennifer asks.
"Maybe they're here for us?" Carson says.
"Why would you say that Carson?" Jennifer asks.
"These people have nothing the Genii want so my guess they want our medical supplies and whatever else we have with us."
"I suppose we should have allowed General Horton to send a team through the gate with us."
"We never thought the Genii would come besides we came to help this village after it was culled." She nods. Carson did bring a 9mm pistol with him and he doubt Jennifer bought one with her. Carson doubts they can kill the Genii and make it back to the gate and plus the Genii might kill the innocent.
"Carson, what are we going to do?" She asks.
"You go and dial the gate and get help I'll keep the Genii busy." She leaves with the help of one of the villagers. Sora and four other Genii soldiers enter the building. Sora begins questioning Carson and two others are going through his medical supplies. Meanwhile Jennifer makes it to the gate and with the help of the female villager that accompanied her they knock out the Genii guard at the gate. She dials Aquarius base and asks for Heath to send a team through the gate. Lieutenant Colonel Sheppard and his team come through the gate with Lieutenant Edison and his team as backup. Sheppard has them to split up to see if they can catch the Genii off guard. Major Rhodes and his off world teams also arrived with Sheppard's team and Lieutenant Edison's team. As soon as they came through the gate Jenifer comes out of the woods. She tells them that she saw a group of Genii leave through the Stargate a few minutes before they arrived, but they might have more in the village. They find out the Genii had already left and have taken all the medical supplies that Carson and Jennifer brought with them they return to Aquarius base. John informs Heath what happen on the planet and tells him that the Genii have all their supplies he can tell that Heath isn't happy with the news especially with Colonel Caldwell sitting in his office reading over some mission reports. Sheppard and Heath both knew that they'll have to contact the Genii and asks them for their medical supplies back. "Who lead the raid?" Caldwell asks Sheppard.
"It was Sora sir," he replies.
"Thank you John that will be all," Heath says to him. He knows he'll have to contact the Genii and tell them what happen hopefully Chief Radim will be cooperative. He takes a breath and enters Aquarius control room. "Chuck, Dial the Genii homeworld its time to tell Radim what happen, but I'm sure he already knows."
"Yes sir," Chuck replies. He dials the Genii homeworld. They sent a radio message through the Stargate to the Genii on the other side.
The Genii Homeworld, Ladon Radim the leader of the Genii had just survived an attempt on his life by some of Cowen's supporters. His chief advisor is present along with his chief of security. Ladon has heard the rumors that Lantians are back and that a new Wraith queen has taken over the Wraith and his spies have told him that she is searching for the Lantian with Wraith and Ancient DNA Ladon Radim guess this is just BS. An aide enters his office and tells him that Atlantis is calling and saying that Sora just attack a Lantian Medical mission. Ladon wasn't happy with that news, he tells his chief advisor to find out what she took and setup a meeting with Mr. Woolsey. An hour later Chief Ladon Radim is inform of what Sora took and everything on that list is things they need, but he decides to give the Lantians their medical supplies back to continue their alliance. He decides to strip Sora of her rank and status. He and the Lantians decide to meet in four days to discuss a trade agreement and to plan assaults against Queen Death.
Somewhere else in Pegasus Queen Death's fleet emerges from hyperspace over a Wraith stronghold several light years from the Genii homeworld. Queen Death has spies everywhere even among the Genii. The Wraith Stronghold is not very big and only has 220 Wraith defending the base from any attack plus it always has two ships in orbit at one time. He spy among the Genii have already warn her that the Genii are planning to attack the stronghold and destroy it. So when the gate open and the Genii soldiers exit and once the gate disconnect the Wraith sprang their trap and an entire battalion of Genii soldiers where lost within minutes some where only stun to be fed upon later. Queen Death decides to send Darts through the gate to the Genii homeworld and Cull but she'll wait a couple of days before she sends the Darts through. The Wraith commander at the stronghold welcomes Death and the lords of her zenana. She waits for her informant on the Lantian base to make contact with her to begin the next step of her plan.
The days before the Genii are to come to Aquarius Base to speak to Brigadier General Horton about trade and about their alliance Colonel Stephen Caldwell and his crew are preparing to leave and head back to Earth. Colonel Caldwell keeps his distance from General Horton and he wouldn't speak to him until it was time to leave. General Horton, Lieutenant Colonel Sheppard, and Major Rhodes are at the ship ready to see it off. "Have a safe trip back to Earth Stephen." Heath says to him.
"Thank you sir," Stephen replies saluting. John, Tristan, and Heath return the salute. He boards his ship and they leave Aquarius Base once they are in space they open up a hyperspace window and jumped they are now on their way to Earth.
Three days later Ladon Radim and several of his advisors are preparing to leave the Genii Homeworld and meet with the Lantians they have no clue that Queen Death plans to attack the Genii Homeworld. Brigadier General Horton has been getting Aquarius ready for the Genii visit. Déjà would scan the Genii has they come through the Stargate but security team will also check them. Heath knows that the genii have no clue about the artificial intelligence. Ladon Radim is the first through the Stargate followed be his sister, chief advisor, and four of his personal guards. "Welcome Ladon to Aquarius." Heath says to him and his companions.
"Thank you General Horton, I'm glad to see that the rumors of your demise weren't true, but I guess the same isn't true for Atlantis."
"Actually Atlantis is on our homeworld," Rodney says.
"Rodney," Sheppard says. Rodney looks at John and sees him shaking his head. Rodney understood that he told Ladon what they didn't want to tell him.
"Thank you Ladon from bringing back our medical supplies," Doctor Carson says to him.
"You're quite welcome doctor I don't want anything to compromise our alliance." John and a few others roll their eyes.
"What happen to Sora?" Teyla asks.
"She has been strip of her command and imprison."
"Ladon, I wish to setup a trading agreement between my people and yours and to offer our help with your fight against the Wraith."
"What do you offer and what do you want?" Ladon asks.
"Doctor Beckett and I have discussed this with Doctor Keller in great detail and have decided to place a clinic on your planet with your permission where we will treat your people and train your doctors with better medical training plus will give you some anti-air launchers incase the Wraith send Darts through so it will be easier to shoot them down. Ladon with your permission I would like to send a platoon to help train your men and to help your people if the Wraith attacks in force." He can tell that Ladon is thinking about it he can also tell that Ladon doesn't like the idea of having Lantians on his world where they might interfere with his plans. "I assure you my people will not interfere with your government how about we try and see how it works out." Ladon agrees.
"What do you asks in return?" Dalia asks.
"I would like to know that myself," his chief advisor says.
"We would like to make an arrangement to allow us to get food from your planet and to share intelligence on the Wraith."
"General, I'm sure you are aware that the Wraith is in a middle of a civil war."
"Actually there civil war has ended since a new queen has risen who's supported by the empress of the entire Wraith."
"The Wraith has no empress," Dalia says.
"The Wraith you have known for a very long time are those that rebelled against the Wraith Empire but now the empress has invited them back into the empire if they join Queen Death and I'm sure you have heard of her." Teyla tells them.
"We have heard of her but only in rumors." Ladon chief advisor says.
"She is taken over the Wraith that rebelled and formed them into a huge alliance there are still some that haven't joined her but they will but we can work together to make sure that doesn't happen." Heath pauses. "You don't have to make your mind up today just think about it. I say we break for launch." They break for launch and headed to the cafeteria. A security team escorts the Genii to the cafeteria. Heath had the cooks prepare some of the best foods Earth had to offer. He smiles a little seeing Aquarius personal enjoying themselves too all of a sudden a person knocks into him and he felt something but couldn't determine what it is. He radio activates. "General Horton, to the control room." Heath returns to the control room. Sergeant First Class Grim is there. "Sir, we've just found a body apparently she was fed on by a Wraith sir." He tells General Horton.
"How is that possible?"
"I don't know sir perhaps a Wraith is here this whole time or there something weird going on."
"Déjà, how could a Wraith be in the city?"
"I don't know general, I do scan every time a team comes back through the Stargate and I have detected nothing." Déjà answers.
"Alright let's keep this quiet until the Genii leave I don't want to spook them." Heath tells everyone in the control room. Heath returns to the cafeteria. Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard is talking with Teyla he goes up to them. He sees Dalia talking with Doctor Beckett and Zelenka. Ladon is talking with a couple of marines.
"General, what was the problem?" Teyla asks.
"I'll tell you later Ladon's coming over." Heath replies. Ladon comes over.
"General may I have a word with you privately?" Ladon asks. Heath nods and follows Ladon into the hallway. A group of Lantians pass by them they give polite nods to Heath.
"What can I do for you Ladon?"
"I think you're right about many things I'm not Cowen who wishes to take over the Pegasus Galaxy through fear the Wraith have done that but there are still many who believed in Cowen's dream. They have formed a group calling themselves Liberate. I suggest you and your people stay on guard every time you leave this base." Ladon returns to the cafeteria and Heath returns to his office a team from an off world mining site where Titanium has been discovered has just return and he must talk with Captain Rommel. John and Rodney are talking.
"So John what did you think of the negotiations?" Rodney asks.
"I thought it was okay apparently Heath is new to politics." He answers. "What about you?"
"I thought it was a waste of my time I could've been working on stuff especially getting the weapon satellites back to operational status." They return to the briefing room. Ladon agrees to Heath's proposal. Heath tells Ladon that Doctor Beckett and a team will be there in three days to setup the clinic. They leave through the Stargate with some of the medical supplies they stole. Later on that same day Major Tristan Rhodes arrived at General Horton's office.
"You wanted to see me sir?"
"Yes major, I'm placing you in charge of security."
"Thank you sir," he says.
"Tristan, if you think any of those refuges will make good security put them through training, but still strict their clearance to this base until they complete their training."
"Yes sir, I'll put the word out." He salutes and is fixing to leave when General Horton said something else.
"Tristan we may have a wraith on the base I don't know how and its not showing up on the life signs detector so I want all security teams to remain on alert just in case."
"Yes sir." He leaves and a few minutes later John arrives at his office.
"Heath, how did the mission go to PX778?" John asks. Heath invites John to have a seat.
"They found a large deposit of Titanium but not only that they also found a naqahdah mine. Once the Hammond arrives we'll have to request equipment to mine it."
"I'm sure the SGC and Homeworld Security would love to get their hands on these materials so I doubt you'll have any problems."
"There is one problem PX778 is located near a Wraith stronghold with Wraith ships patrolling the area so none of our ships can enter the area without being detected but there is no Wraith on the planet."
"Crap I guess we'll have to be real careful once we begin mining operations."
"Yes we will," Heath responds.
"What were you going to tell Teyla and me?"
"We may have a Wraith on the base but I don't know for sure, but I sense one," he answers. "Can you ask Teyla if she sense one?" John nods and leaves. Heath can't figure out how a Wraith is masking himself but he is determined to find out.
The next day a dozen refuges arrived at the briefing room to become part of Aquarius security forces. A couple of Lantian Security is also present. The Wraith spy is also among them. "Gentleman and ladies you are here to join Aquarius Base Security Personal whose job is to keep this base safe from anyone who would cause Aquarius harm. The packets you all have will explain the many different scenarios that security teams have to face some are issues we had on Atlantis. The next two weeks you will go through training then we will see who is left to become members of the security teams. We shall begin tomorrow so study those packets because we will be asking questions about them." the briefing ended and Major Tristan Rhodes leaves. One of the other refuges who want to become a security team member comes up to the man who's actually a Wraith.
"Hey George, what do you think about working with the Lantians and being part of their security teams?"
"I can hardly wait," George responds. He leaves and returns to his quarters to contact Death and inform her of what's going on but he gets no response. He has no clue that Queen Death has decided not to attack the Genii Homeworld thinks to the intel her agent gave her. George/Wraith infiltrator heads to the cafeteria passing an armed security team. He already heard from one security team that they found the body he fed on just recently. He knows he'll have to be more careful. He sits down. Ronon Dex comes up to his table and sits down. Ronon didn't say anything just ate his food. "Can I help you with something?"
"You know General Horton didn't mean to bring the wraith to your world and he didn't know that Queen Death would destroy it." Ronon says to George. He just nods his head and leaves the cafeteria. He doesn't want to risk getting upset and blowing his cover. He returns to his quarters and looks into the mirror and sees the Wraith staring back at him. Sergeant Jasmine is one of the gateroom technician notices something on the long range sensors.
"Captain Cameron I'm picking up two Wraith ships on the long range sensors." She tells the officer in charge of the shift. Captain Cameron looks at the screen.
"Get Doctor McKay and General Horton up here." They page Rodney and Heath. Déjà image also appeared.
"Déjà informed me on the way here where are the Hive and the cruiser heading?" Heath asks Sergeant Jasmine.
"They're heading to the Genii Homeworld," she answers.
"Déjà have a crew take one of the Aurora Battleships and engage the Wraith ships before they reach the Genii Homeworld also have some Gateships sent down to the planet to make sure the Wraith don't send Darts through the gate." Sheppard arrived in the gateroom and Heath briefed him. Sheppard decides to go with the Aurora-Battleship named Pillion. The Pillion leave Aquarius hanger bay and once it clears the atmosphere it opens up a hyperspace window and leaves Aquarius behind. The exit from hyperspace over the Genii homeworld and drop their Gateships led by Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard. Once the Gateships leave the hanger bay the Pillion uses their sublight engines to get into place and wait for the Wraith to arrive. the Wraith ships arrived and the battle only lasted 45 minutes both Wraith ships were destroyed they retrieve their Gateships and return to Aquarius the Genii would never know what happen near their planet.
The next day Major Rhodes and other instructors begin training the new security teams' recruits. The trainees' first stop is the firing range where they'll learn how to fire their weapons and how to reload them after firing. The first thing the instructors had to show them where how to operate the weapons. Major Rhodes tells them to take a Stun pistol and he tells them that they must carrying one at all times until they pass with a pistol. The instructors teach them weapons training/maintenance for the next couple of day including target practice. The Wraith imposter looks at his stun pistol and knows that they acquire the stun pistols from dead Wraith. He knows he can stun them but he'll never reach the gate room to call in reinforcements before he is captured. Doctor Carson Beckett, a small medical team and a SR-team are getting ready to go through the Stargate to the Genii Homeworld. They have boxes of medical equipment/supplies onto two MALPS which General Horton told him he wants the MALPS return. Chuck dials the Genii Homeworld and a marine followed by Carson are the first ones through. Ladon, Dalia and six Genii soldiers are waiting for them as they exit from the Stargate. "Dr. Beckett thank you for coming to help us," Ladon says to him.
"You have a place where we can setup?" Carson asks. Ladon nods and escorts them to where Carson will setup the clinic. Upon entering the clinic they began setting up their equipment including a portable eye exam machine, an x-ray machine and few other things. Genii doctors are greatly interested in the machines the Lantians brought with them. Carson explains to Ladon that he will train his doctors how to operate the machines. A few hours later, Carson tells Ladon that he's ready to begin treating his people but he also has a small medical team so the Genii doctors are going to have to help him. The medical team that Carson brought with him through the Stargate they specialize in dental, eye, and even radiation. The children are Carson's priority. He has already told Ladon that they might have to be sent to Aquarius for better treatment then what he can bring with him. Ladon agrees if any need to be transfer.
"Thank you again doctor." Ladon says to Carson as he is checking the pulse of a young kid.
"Actually this was all General Horton's idea." Ladon is shocked by this news.
"When you send General Horton your daily report please thanks him for me."
"I will Ladon," Carson says. Ladon returns to his office an old Cowen officer is peasant.
"Chief Ladon, we should use the Lantians and then dispose of them."
"No, I will continue this alliance and also we may need them to help us with other matters in the future and we both need each other if the Wraith are joining forces." The officer leaves not very happy. Ladon's advisor enters.
"Why do you continue to allow these Cowen supporters to still hold positions in your military? You never know if they are planning anything."
"No I don't think that's the case this time he's loyal. He just lost his two brothers fighting the Lantians under Cowen."
"You never know he might do something to harm the Lantians while they are here or compromise one of their off world missions."
"Its possible, but we'll wait and see," Ladon replies.
General Horton is in the briefing room with John, Teyla, Ford, Ronon, Rodney, Tristan, and Jennifer Keller. "Major, how goes the training of the new security recruits?" Major Rhodes is reading the report from a SR-team that found a planet for a possible Alpha Site. "Major, do you hear me?" John who's sitting next to Tristan pats him on the back. Heath repeats his question.
"Well sir, I have been training them in our weapons some of them have never held a gun before except for George he fired that Wraith Stunner like has done it a thousands of times. I also gave them maps and told them that they must learn this base."
"We're all still trying to get use to this base so much bigger than Atlantis but it has areas that are exactly the same except underground, but thinks to déjà and Serenity we want get lost."
"Rodney, have you been able to get all the weapon satellites operational yet?" John asks.
"Major Rhodes offered to help me figure out what's going on after we return from our off world mission."
"John, your team will leave in the hour for the new Alpha site."
"Yes sir," John replies.
"At least we'll have lunch before we leave," Rodney says and everyone looks at him.
"Lieutenant Ford, I think its time you get a team of your own and receive the rank of captain." Heath says to Aidan.
"Thank you sir, but may I get my own team once I get back from the new Alpha Site?"
"Sure, but I see no reason to wait for you to receive your captain rank." Heath says and slides a box over to him. "Congratulations captain."
"Thank you sir," he says. Everyone offered Aidan Ford their congratulations. The meeting ended.
"Tristan if you have a second I need your help in my lab?" Rodney says. Tristan follows Rodney to his lab.
"What are you working on Rodney?"
"Just trying to get this power supply for the weapon satellites figure out and also working on figured out a way for our Stargate to dial Earth according to Serenity this Stargate on this planet can dial Earth." Tristan begins to help Rodney with his power source. Rodney calls someone to bring them food from the cafeteria. One of Rodney's colleges brings him and Tristan a tray. Rodney tried to remember her name when she brought them the food but he got her name wrong and she walks away. They work until Déjà calls them to gear up with the rest of the off world teams. John, Teyla, Ronon, Aidan, and Tristan's SR-Team are in the locker rooms gearing up when Rodney and Tristan arrived. The teams are heading to the gateroom. Amelia dials the gate and they go through to the Alpha Site.
The Wraith on Aquarius knows he must get the information to Queen Death but a long transmission with her is risky the only thing to do is go through the gate and that was when he remember that Lieutenant Jack is taking them through the Stargate to an uninhabited world for some exercise of course an SR-team is going with them. He arrives at the gateroom and goes through the gate with the others. Once through his activates his subspace tracker and hopes theirs a ship loyal to Queen Death nearby. He notices a marine looking at something on the MALP. "What's that?" He asks the marine.
"It's a radar so we know if we have hostile aircraft inbound," The marine answers George question. He notices that the rest of the trainees are gone. "You should go I would hate for you to get in trouble with Lieutenant Jack." All of a sudden stunners fly out of the trees striking the three marines guarding the gate. A Wraith commander comes up to the Wraith spy.
"Tell our queen that the Lantians prize team will be on PSX986 what the humans call an Alpha Site and that Lantian Prince will do whatever must be done to rescue his prize team if they are caught. Take these humans interrogate them." the Wraith spy tells the Wraith commander. The commander dials the gate and they go through with the human prisoners. The Wraith spy/George hurries to tell Lieutenant Jack that the Wraith arrived and took three of his people. Upon hearing the news they double time it back to the gate and Jack dials Aquarius and they go back home. Jack tells Heath what happen. He knows that its pointless to send more men to the planet they're long gone by now probably on a Hive ship or in a Wraith stronghold by now but he decides to send a team anyway along with Doctor Zen another scientist who has studied Lantian Tech. he goes with them. They find one more gate address on the DHD other then Aquarius. They send a MALP through and discovered it's a Wraith Stronghold on the other side and heath knew he was right. The MALP feed only last a few seconds before the MALP is destroyed. He realized that they will have to destroy that Wraith Stronghold before too long since it's on the doorstep of Aquarius base.
