The Wraith informant on Aquarius has no clue that the bases long range sensors are even more advance then Atlantis long range sensors. The cities long range sensors picks up a Hive ship heading for the refuge planet. "General Horton, you need to see this," an air force sergeant says. He comes to the computer screen.
"How long until they're at the planet?" he asks.
"They'll be at the planet in 4 hours."
"Alert the SR-team on the planet tells them to begin evacuation."
"Yes sir," another person in the control room says. Heath activates his radio.
"Doctor Zelenka, please come to the control room." Déjà image appears.
"Heath, can I be of some assistance?"
"I need you to lock down all secure areas of Aquarius except for the gateroom, infirmary, and mess hall." Déjà does it. Zelenka arrives.
"What's going on? I was working on the cities long range sensors."
"You might have saved a lot of lives on PX103."
"Why do you say that?"
"The long range sensors pick up a Hive ship properly with cruiser escorts heading for the planet," one of the new air force technician tells him.
"How would the Wraith know where the refugee camps are?"
"The spy among this base, we have to find him or her."
"Are you sure there's a spy on the base?"
"The Wraith wouldn't stumble accidently on an unhabited world and realize it's full of food."
"Do you have any ideas who the Wraith informant might be?"
"It could be the refugees but I know for a fact that it isn't one of our expedition members."
"Sir, another hive is heading for the Alpha Site," Linley says. Linley is new to Pegasus she join with the crew of the Hammer on General O'Neill's orders.
"We'll worry about the spy later let get all off world teams home."
"Yes sir," the all reply. "Déjà keep us inform to the Wraith movements let us know if they change course." They dial the Alpha Site they get know response from Colonel Sheppard's team or the security team guarding the gate. The gate shuts down and they dial the Genii Homeworld and inform Carson. Déjà image appears. "General, I need to talk with you privately." General Horton enters his office. "What is it Déjà?"
"We've lost the long range sensors and number of other system because someone unleashes a Wraith virus I've mange to keep it away from the weapons, and other key systems that would allow the virus to kill everyone here. I can kill the virus but if you don't find the infiltrator then he can just replant the virus."
"Do you still have access to the Jumper bays and hanger bays what about Stargate Operations?"
"Yes, I still have control of those systems." Heath decides to dispatch one of their Aurora-class Battleships to the Alpha Site. Heath radios Captain Dave to take a small crew to the Alpha Site. Heath leads his office and returns to the control room.
"Zelenka, can you run a scan to check and see who access our systems?"
"If the virus hasn't inflect those systems yes I can," He answers.
"Thank you," Heath says. Major Lorne enters the control room.
"You wanted to see me sir?"
"Lorne, I need you to check this entire base for a Wraith."
"That can take some time even with all security personal except those needed to guard the surface and the gateroom."
"Déjà, have the Lantian robots help Major Lorne search the base for the Wraith." Heath decides to send the new security recruits to the infirmary to have them check out." He also posts guards at the mess hall, infirmary, Jumper bays, hanger bays, and the armories. Major Lorne leaves and starts his search. "Jenifer, this is Heath," he says into his headset.
"Yes Heath, what is it?" She asks.
"I'm sending the recruits to you I want you to give them full scans I believe one of them could be our Wraith but I don't know how he's masking his appearance."
"What do you want me to do if the scans come back positive on one of them?"
"Act as normal as you can and inform one of the SOs outside."
"I'll try Heath," she says.
"Don't worry Jennifer I want let anything happen to you." Zelenka taps him on the shoulder.
"I think you should see this." He follows Zelenka to a computer console. "I look into what you ask and I found this." Heath looks at the computer screen. "Lieutenant Adie log into the system and unleash the virus."
"Lorne, I want you to find Lieutenant Adie and bring him to me."
"Sir, we've found him and three SOs and all four are died," Lorne answers. "I guess you where right sir."
"Lorne send more SOs to the infirmary."
"Yes sir," Lorne replies. Heath activates his headset.
"Jennifer, is everything ok in the infirmary?"
"Jennifer can't answer you right now," a cold voice says. Heath heads down to the infirmary. An SO hands him a P90. He enters the infirmary and sees a person holding a knife to Jennifer's throat and pointing a pistol at everyone else. "You will open the Stargate and allow this base to fall into the hands of Queen Death."
"I don't think so," Heath replies.
"You will do as I say or I will kill her."
"Know you will not," Heath hands his P90 to a SO. "Lower the weapons and we'll let you go free." The Wraith stares at Heath. Heath raises his hand and makes the Wraith release Jennifer. The Wraith wasn't expecting to place his own knife and pistol to his own head. "Tell me what you've told Queen Death and I want make you kill yourself." The Wraith didn't say anything. He makes the Wraith pull the trigger and slice his own throat. Heath approaches the lifeless corpse that just turned back into a Wraith. He sees a device on his arm that looks like a Wraith self-destruct device, he removes it. He contacts Zelenka and tells him to wipe the virus. It only takes Déjà a few seconds to destroy the Wraith virus which isn't advance as the one planted on Daedalus. "Captain Kamorov, search his quarters and see if you can find anything else."
"Yes sir," Captain Kamorov says. He's one of the new Russian soldiers on Aquarius.
"Zelenka, I have something for you to examine," Heath says. Heath takes the device to Zelenka lab. "Thanks for your help Radiack." He leaves and returns to his office. Zelenka, Lorne, and Kamorov arrive hours later.
"Sir, we found these in his quarter but we don't know what they are," Kamorov says. "I ask the doctor to scan the base for any more Wraith and the scans came up negative."
"Lorene, how's Jennifer?"
"She's doing ok."
"Thank you gentleman now I need to write my report and find out if Sheppard's team is alright. "Radiack you stay." Zelenka remains behind. "Radiack, did find out what that device I gave you is?"
"Yes, it's a device to allow them to turn human but want allow those with the gift to sense them." Radiack Zelenka tells him.
"The Wraith is a lot clever then we believe if they were able to make a device like this. I need you to work on something that whenever someone exit the gate or arrives by ship these devices will go inherit, I also want you to see if there's anything you can find that would tell us what the spy would've told Queen Death." Zelenka nods and leaves. Heath looks at the items they found in the spy's room and then he enters the control room/Stargate operations. They once again dial the Alpha Site.
Colonel Sheppard do you read this is Aquarius base please respond."
"Aquarius this is Colonel Sheppard we are cut off from the gate there is Wraith around the gate and is also searching for us."
"Be advise a Hive ship is on their way to the planets as well. I've already dispatch an Aurora Class warship to come to your aide but the Hive will be there before it arrives. We will come for you."
"Sir you know if you send troops through the gate they'll be slaughtered."
"Yes John I know but we'll get you back." The gate shuts down. General Horton call a meeting with his military officers, Zelenka and Doctor Keller are also there. "You have all heard that Colonel Sheppard team has been cut off from the Stargate. I'm open to suggestion to get them off the planet alive."
Sir, what about the Ancient warship you dispatch." One of the new officers asks.
"The hive will be there before it," Zelenka says.
"Sir, are you sure there are no more Wraith in the base?" Captain Hale asks
"We've did an entire check of all occupied areas of the city and found nothing." Lorne says. Déjà image appears.
"General Horton, I have a suggestion about how to rescue everyone from the Alpha Site." Heath tells her to go on. "We can send what you call them Terminators to neutralize the Wraith around the gate, and then you can send additional soldiers through along with Puddle Jumpers. I can program the Terminators to follow the orders of your officers just like they are soldiers." Heath and some others like the idea including Major Lorne. The meeting ended it didn't take the Terminators/Ancient Robots not like Replicators to arrive in the gateroom with Lantian Plasma Rifles. Amelia dials the Alpha Site address. The Terminators go through. Three minutes later the wormhole is establish and they tell them that the gat is secure. Two SR-teams in Puddle Jumpers are ready to disembark. The pilot in the first Puddle Jumper lower into the gate room uses the DHD and once the gate is activated they go through. Once on the planet Major Lorne radios Colonel Sheppard and tells him that they have secured the gate. Ronan informs him that Colonel Sheppard is unconscious from a Wraith Stunner and that they are pin down. A team of Terminators move towards Colonel Sheppard's and his team location.
Four hours before a rescue is attempted, Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard, his team, Major Rhodes, his team, SOs for the Alpha Site, and a scientist team arrive on the planet that will serve as Aquarius New Alpha Site. Rodney sits down on a rock wandering why he came since he has some much work to do on Aquarius. They head to the base camp that another team setup two days ago. Sheppard leaves two men to guard the Stargate. They have a .50 caliber machinegun setup behind some a sandbag bunker in front of the gate. Before they came to the Alpha Site Teyla took Torran to new Athos to be with his father John can tell she misses him. Teyla and John are talking about Aquarius. "John, have you notice how big our new home is? Déjà told me it's twice the size of Atlantis."
"Yes I've notice; we still haven't even explored not even half of the city yet. It's actually Atlantis underground with no piers. Plus not to mention the hanger bays for Lantian ships and the hangers for unman aircraft. I was love Atlantis but I'm sure we'll all fall in love with this base." John notices how Ronon is uneasy around Ford. Johns glad to have Ford and Ronon on his team. Captain Ford still has some of the abilities he receives from the Wraith Enzyme. They just start to bed down for the night when the Stargate activates. The team by the gate radios Colonel Sheppard and tells him that they have unscheduled off world activation. Sheppard and the rest prepare for whatever exits the Stargate. Four Darts emerge through the event horizon. The Darts fly away from the area, but as the SR-team by the gate are hit in the back by Wraith Stunners. The machinegun opens fire cutting down Wraith until it is silence by a Wraith grenade. Eight dozen Wraith exits from the Stargate followed by three additional Darts. Colonel Sheppard orders everyone into the woods, but first they must make their way across a field where the Darts will have a clear advantage. They make their way across the field towards the trees on the other side. Four Darts appear and Colonel Sheppard gives the order to cover the civilians. One marine fire an AT4 at a Dart hitting its noose and it spins out of control and crashes into a tree. Some of the SOs and scientist have already made it into the trees. Rodney and Teyla are next. The two reaming Darts make another pass, but a second Dart is destroyed. The last Dart beams down troops and they began firing. John returns fire and a Wraith officer drops. Ronan kills three Wraiths just before he reach the trees. As soon as John enters the trees he tells the rest to run. They don't look back to see who fell behind until John thanks they lost the Wraith. John realizes they lost three. Ronan and Teyla kept watch while the others rest. Dawn, John decides to go and find out how many Wraith they are up against. Ronan and Ford accompany him. They head back towards the Stargate. They hide from patrols, but they make it to the gate without being spotted. At the gate they see additional Wraith exiting the gate. A twig snaps and they watch a scientist run out but she's hit by a Wraith Stunner. One of the Wraith Drones sucks the life from the scientist. Sheppard, Ronon, and Ford return to where they left the others. "What did you find out?" Tristan asks.
"We're not getting off this planet anytime soon," Ford says.
"Why is that sir?" An SO asks.
"The Wraith has the gate guarded and they even have patrols looking for us." Ford answers.
"What if Aquarius tries to contact us?" A marine asks who's new to Pegasus.
"They'll be able to reach us where we're heading," Rodney says.
"Where are we heading?" An Archeologist asks.
"Just follow us we'll make sure we get you back to Aquarius alive," Ford tells them. They grab their packs and follow after John, Ronon, Teyla, and Rodney. Major Rhodes is following behind the civilians; two of his men are on either side of the civilians. They make it to a secret location.
"There's nothing here," a scientist name Deion says. They enter the cave and in the middle is a Puddle Jumper. Rodney and Tristan enter the Puddle Jumper.
"Rodney, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to expand the Jumper cloaking field so Darts want find us." Rodney explains to everyone that as long as they stay within the protection of the cloak they'll be safe from the Wraith. "There is no way the Wraith could've know that we were here," A lance corporal says.
"This planet is uninhabited the Wraith have never been here before at least not in 10,000 years," Teyla says.
"The Wraith informant must've given them the gate coordinates and they must be after us." John says.
"A Wraith spy on Aquarius how is that possible?" Ford asks.
"Don't know, but I'm sure General Horton will take care of it." John tells them. "General Horton knew there was a possible Wraith on the base before we left he was keeping it quiet it's still a mystery how the Wraith infiltrated Aquarius without being spotted either by the life signs detector or by Teyla or general's abilities. We need to get more supplies from the camp." Teyla and the others agree. Ronan, Teyla, and John leave and head back to camp. They are constantly watching for Wraith a few times they have to hide. They reach the camp and grab some supplies. A Wraith patrol arrives at the camp and Ronon is the first to fire dropping a Wraith Drone. Teyla and John open fire. They dispatch the Wraith patrols, a Wraith officer tries to get back up but Teyla finishes him off. They leave just as another Wraith patrol arrives. They make it back to the cave and they lost their pursuers.
"Sheppard, you need to see this," Rodney says over their coms. John and Tristan enter the Jumper.
"What is it Rodney?"
"The Jumper sensors picked up something Lantian six miles from our current location," Rodney tells them.
"How do you know its Lantian?" Rhodes asks.
"I'm not sure but we know there are ruins of Lantian structures on this planet.
"Let's go and check it out," Sheppard says. Sheppard decides to leave half of Rhodes team here with the civilians along with the SOs. John, Ronon, Teyla, Ford, Tristan, Rodney, Lieutenant Jack, and two of Rhode's men head toward the energy source. They enter another field that separates the two tree lines. Teyla warns them that a Dart is coming their way. They look up Tristan has an AT5 strung over his shoulder and he removes it and fires. The Dart crashes into the field. They continue to run until they're in the trees. More Darts appear and they deposit troops onto the ground. A twig snaps behind them and two Wraiths appear and Ronon shoots both of them. "Did the Wraith in the field here that?" Jack asks.
"We'll find out in a minute," Teyla says. The Wraith retrieves the Wraith from the crash Dart and another Dart scoops them up.
"That was close," Rodney says who's holding his breath. They continue towards the strange energy source. They find ruins of an old city in a valley grown up with vegetations they decide to check it out. They enter one of the buildings just as a Dart flies overhead. A voice appears on their radios. "Colonel Sheppard, this is Aquarius do you read." There a pause and John tries to reply but gets only static. "Be advice a Hive is on their way to the planet. We hope to get their before it arrives." The transmission ends. They're all shock by the news they don't know why the Wraith where on the planet. They discover the ruins are Lantian. They continue towards the energy source. They find a wall and Rodney tells them that the energy signature is coming from the other side. Sheppard touches the wall and a door opens. They enter the structure and lights come out automatically. Rodney realizes they are in some sort of Lantian Lab. "Don't touch anything we don't know what the Ancients were doing here," Rodney says. Rodney looks for a terminal to plug in and find out what the lab was use for.
"Why would the Ancients have a lab on an uninhabited world?" Rhodes asks.
"Maybe it wasn't uninhabited during the Ancients war with the Wraith," Ronon says. Rodney finds what he's looking for and plugs in.
"I've found out what's been giving off these energy readings it's a ZPM and according to the energy output its still 90% charge."
"Have you found out what this lab was use for?" John asks. Rodney shakes his head.
"Maybe this structure is an Ancient outpost," Rhodes says.
"McKay, what if this place has an Ancient weapon platform like on Atlantis and Aquarius?" Ford asks.
"This doesn't look like an outpost," Rodney replies.
"Rodney we haven't even looked around yet," John says. Rodney gives a sigh; he unplugs his tablet from the terminal.
"Alright kids' les go exploring," John says. They stet off. They find out that the structure is indeed an Ancient Outpost. Rodney goes back and plugs into the terminal and initializes the systems.
"It's a lab and an outpost," Rodney tells them. "The Ancients were developing newer drones to combat the Super Hives and destroyers."
"Where they successful?" Ford asks. Rodney didn't answer because he's reading.
"Yes but they never got the drones off the planet before the Wraith attack and culled." Rhodes looks at the screen and sees several destroy Wraith ships in orbit.
"It seems the Ancient put up one hell of a fight." Tristan says. The others nod looking at the screen of the space around the planet.
"What kind of ships were those?" Ford asks.
"They are a Hive, Super Hive, cruiser, and a destroyer. Plus Darts and even two destroy Lantian Battlecruisers." Rodney answers.
"You mean the drones destroy two Lantian Battlecruisers along with the Wraith ships," Ronon says.
"No, they were destroyed by the Wraith ships," Rhodes answers looking at the text.
"So the Ancients had Battlecruisers protecting the planet why?" Teyla asks.
"I'll try to find out," Rodney replies. Tristan is looking at a monitor and all of a sudden an alarms sound Rodney turns on him. "What did you do?"
"I didn't do anything," he answers. All of sudden a screen pops up and shows Wraith approaching the town. John decides to meet the Wraith in the town. "John, the Wraith can't get in here we're safe from them."
"Are you sure about that Rodney?" Jack asks.
"No about 79% sure," he answers.
"Dammit McKay we don't have a lot of cover when the Wraith blow holes into the walls." John said.
"This outpost must have some sort of other defenses if the Wraith land ground troops."
"Find it McKay while we go and slow down the Wraith," Ford says. Teyla, Ronon, Ford, and two of Rhodes men, and John leave the structure. Tristan and Jack remain behind. They take up positions inside of the town. They plant C4 on their flanks. "Rodney, how long before Wraith arrives?" Sheppard asks over the radio.
"They should be appearing now," Rodney replies. They see the Wraith. Sheppard and the others open fire cutting down a few Wraiths some got back on their feet, but they didn't get all the way up before Ronon and the others shoot them again. Ford toss a fragmentation grenade which successfully kills a few Wraith, Sheppard kills a Wraith officer and two Wraith Drones; Ronan kills two more along with Teyla. A Wraith soldier fires missing John by a few inches. Ford takes a stun blast to the shoulder but he continues to fire dropping two more Wraiths before he reloads a P90. John tells them to fall back. They fall back, but the Wraith has already entered the ruins of the city. Sheppard's team takes stunner fire from multiple locations. A LAW hits a building where Wraith is firing from. Six marines appear with a marine officer. "Where did you come from?"
"We were exploring an area when we receive the message about the Wraith and we detected the energy source. So we headed here." The marine officer replies. They take cover in a building but before John can enter two stun blast hits him. A marine is hit in the face by a stunner. Two marines drag the colonel into the building. Ford kills one of the Wraith Drones firing on them. Ronan hears Major Lorne voice over the radio telling them that they have secure the gate and asking for their location. Teyla responds telling them their location and Ronon tells them that Sheppard is down. Lorne dispatches a Jumper to help them. Ronan shoots a Wraith soldiers that took cover behind a tree. The Jumpers destroy the Wraith Darts in the air.
Rodney is busy working on getting the Lantian defensive systems back online. "Hurry up Rodney the Wraith are getting closer." Jack says to him.
"These Ancient systems are harder to figure out then those on Atlantis and Aquarius," Rodney replies. Another proximity alarm goes off and a screen pops up showing a Wraith Hive Ship emerging from hyperspace. The Hive ship is supported by two cruisers. He sees Darts launch from the Wraith ships. Rodney knows they're in serious trouble. Rodney continues to get the defensive and offensive systems online. Jack looks at a console and taps something on the console. A voice appears over the Lantian speaker system.
"Wraith detected Lantians in danger weapon systems online." Rodney looks at Jack.
"What did you do?"
"I activated the defenses over on this console," he answers. Rodney approaches the console and looks at it. They watch as the Wraith ships are destroyed just when the Aurora-class warship exits hyperspace. Rodney and Jack watch as mini drones are deploy to deal with the Wraith on the ground.
"Wraith threat terminated Lantians safe weapon systems offline." The same voice says.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the guardian of this Lantian planet my name is Eternal Springs."
"You're an artificial intelligence," Rodney says.
"What's your name Lantian?"
"Rodney," he answers.
"Rodney, yes I was design to protect this planet and its people from the Wraith and from any others that are enemies to the Lantians." Ronon and Teyla enter with John and sixteen soldiers three are Lantian marines the rest are regular marines. Eternal Spring holographic image appears. "What happen to him?"
"He was hit by a couple of Wraith Stunners," Teyla answers.
"Take him and anyone else stun to the infirmary to be awaken." The stun soldiers are taken to the infirmary. The people in the cave are rescued by Major Lorne's team. The two teams of Terminators have as the humans' call them arrive at the structure along with Major Lorne. Major Lorne takes a Jumper back to the Stargate to dial Aquarius and inform them. Heath is very interested in the structure and its part in the Lantian-Wraith War. He arrives on the planet where Major Lorne returns to Aquarius to take charge while the general is away. A squad of Army Rangers accompanies the general through the gate. They take their Jumper to the structure. Rodney and Tristan are going through the database. The Aurora-class warship remains in orbit for the time being.
