P135 has been pretty quiet since the medical team arrived hours earlier but Ronon has the security team station around the destroyed village just in case. Jenny didn't thank they need it and many of the medical personal agrees with her since the Wraith have already done the worst they could to the planet and there is no reason for them to return. Ronon believes Jenny could be another Jennifer Keller maybe even better being Half-Ancient or Full Ancient he can't remember. However, Jenny hasn't use her powers in a long time. "Jenny, have you started to learn how to do surgery yet?" Ronon hears another medical personal asks her.
"Doctor Keller, said she'll take me on as apprentice after I get done with my maternal leave." She says remembering how Jennifer told her.
"That's wonderful Jen," he says. "I wish you good luck." Jenny is checking a patient when a Lantian/Ancient enters the partly destroy building. "Ma'am we need to get you out of here a Jumper picked up a Hive ship plus escorts in orbit in addition to Wraith life signs on the planet." Ronon enters with two USMC and tells them the Wraith have 2 dozen Wraith soldiers and an officer guarding the gate.
"The gate is our only way off this planet, the Jumper doesn't have a hyperspace drive," a marine says.
"We'll use the forest to escape from them," she suggested. "We'll wait for them to leave." Ronon likes her plan. They exit the building and a Dart flies overhead. A young marine fires an AT4 at a Dart and he watches as the Dart crash and explodes. The Darts beam down Wraith Warriors/Drones. They drop the first 5 Wraith but more are beam down from the circling Darts. Another Dart is destroyed by an Army Ranger before he's culled. A villager is stun as he attempted to flee. Ronon and the marines fire on the Wraith. Three Army Rangers escort Jenny and the medical team to the tree line. One Ranger is hit by a stunner and he falls into a drainage ditch. A Dart sees them making their way to the tree line and attempts to beam warriors down to stop them but the Puddle Jumper still cloak manages to shoot down enemy fighter. A Dart fires in the direction of the Jumper but misses and the Jumper destroys the Dart. Two more Darts are destroyed by the Puddle Jumper pilot's skill. Jenny and the others make it into the woods. Ronon and the other marines made it a few minutes later except for one who's stun. Ronon tells them to run despite her being pregnant stays right with the others. The Wraith soldiers pursue them. A marine stops and fire on their pursuers killing three and wounds two more before a stunner hits him in the face. One of the wounded Wraith warriors brings his feeding hand don't onto the unconscious human chest but he's stop by a Wraith officer. The Wraith Drone backs away and two more pick up the human and takes him where the other humans they have captured are gathered. A Wraith Scout ship lands in a field not far from the village. Queen Death's brother exits followed by six Wraith Soldiers. A Wraith lieutenant approaches the commander. "Some of humans escape into the forest commander along with the female you seek for our queen." The commander expected as much from the Lantians.
"Find them and bring me the female alive," he tells them.
"At once commander," the lieutenant says. The commander looks at the humans in a cattle pin. He smiles they'll serve a purpose for Queen Death in time. After they capture the Lantian Prince wife they'll beam up the humans they have corralled. He leaves followed by 3 dozen Wraith Warriors. Another Wraith approaches the commander.
"Sir, we lost the Lantian ship. We know for a fact it didn't go through the gate so it must still be on the planet using its cloak."
"Have Darts deploy troops around the forest and in clearings so they don't escape."
"Yes commander," the Wraith officers reply. Meanwhile Ronon and the others stop at a waterfall to rest and catch their breath, Ronon posted soldiers around to warn if they spot any Wraith while he goes back the way they came laying down traps. One marine gets into a tree with his M40 Sniper Rifle but he also has a P90 for close quarters.
On Aquarius, Brigadier General Heath Horton returns from the Alpha Site with AR-5. Rodney McKay is there to greet him. Rodney immediately asking questions which Heath wasn't wanting to discuss right now. "Rodney, will you wait for the briefing I need to discuss something with you, Colonel Sheppard, Doctor Zelenka, Teyla, and Major Rhodes." He tells McKay. He heads to his office to write his report for the scheduled dial in to Earth. The dial in with Earth is an hour before the briefing. He finish his report and returns to his quarters but finds his wife gone. He heads to the infirmary to see if she's there. He enters the infirmary but sees no sign of her. He sees Doctor Keller is busy with several patients since Doctor Beckett is still off world on the Genii homeworld. He notice two of the patients are Genii which he assumes Doctor Beckett couldn't treat on their planet. Heath doesn't know if they should trust the Genii or cut all ties with them completely. Doctor Keller sees him and tells Marie to finish bandaging the marine's foot. "Heath, what can I do for you?" she asks.
"Have you seen Jenny today?" she shakes her head. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is fine she just wasn't in the room when I got back that's all. What happen to him?"
"He broke his foot," she says with a smile. He goes over to the corporal paying no attention to the Genii who's watching everything like hawks.
"Are you alright?" Heath asks.
"Yes sir, the doc says I'll be good as knew in a couple of months."
"How did you break your foot in the first place?"
"Working on the Hammer sir," he answers. "I hope they let me do some work on the inside."
"I'm sure they will corporal with your injury," he pats the soldier on the back and leaves. He heads for Stargate operations. He sees Doctor Zelenka looking over diagnostics Deja run to make sure everything is working way it should. "Doctor Zelenka, have you seen Jenny today?"
"I saw her early this morning while you were away. She said she wanted to talk to John," Radek tells him. Heath thinks him. He goes back to his work. John walks into the gateroom followed by Rodney and Teyla. They walk in just as Heath is walking down the stairs.
"John, I like a word with you." John nods. "Teyla, Rodney, I'll see you in the conference room." John and Heath enters Heath's office and the doors close automatically. "Have you seen Jenny?"
"Yes sir," he answers.
"Where is she?"
"She went off world with a medical team to give aide to a settlement which was Culled/attack by Queen Death." John looks at Heath. "Ronon, four Rangers and a team of marines went with them." Heath is somewhat mad that she didn't tell him she wanted to go off world, but he already left for the Alpha Site before she even asks.
"It's ok John, I know she will be safe with Ronon." John was a little relive by his commanding officer response. "I'll see you in the conference room in a few minutes." Heath arrives in the conference room a few minutes later. Teyla, Rodney, Tristan, John, Radek, Jennifer, and three other officers are present including Jarvis. Heath sits down and the rest follow suit. "We have several items on the agenda today. Rodney, will you please give us an update on your work."
"The weapon satellites or Orbital Defense Platforms around the planet are still offline but all we have to do is activate the primary satellite and the rest will activate. Deja has confirmed my findings. As for the others in locations where the Wraith will have to exit from hyperspace to repair their hulls from radiation on their route to Aquarius are online we were able to activate them from here. I can send a team to the primary Orbital Defense Platform within the hour or Tristan and I can do it after the meeting."
"Very well, you have a go," he says. "John, do you have anything to add?"
"No sir," he says.
"Captain Tuskin, do you have anything to add?"
"Repairs to the above ground towers are still ongoing and we're still working on defenses if the Wraith land ground troops."
"Radek, how about you?" He shakes his head. "Teyla, do you have anything?" She shakes her head. "Tristan, do you?" He shakes his head. He look at Jarvis.
"The Hammer repairs are almost complete, we may not have as many ships as we had during our war with the Wraith but we have the more advance ones this time around. Queen Death will lose many ships in the process if she attacks." Jarvis tells them.
"Now let's get to the main reason of this meeting," Rodney says. The rest nod in agreement.
"You don't even know what it is McKay," Ford says. Rodney looks at him.
"Neither do you," Lieutenant Jack says.
"Jarvis, need a Superhive so he can complete his research on developing Drones that will destroy the ships with four or less. We all know how powerful Superhives are but Queen Death has only two at her disposal."
"Sir, want the Superhives be protected by a small fleet?" Rhodes asks.
"The Super Hive we are going after will be on the planet surface," Jarvis tells them.
"What else is on the planet surface?" Rodney asks.
"A Wraith stronghold," John answers.
"We can't do it," Major Flint says.
"We have tackle more than a Wraith fortress before especially when the SGC first started gate travel," Aidan Ford replies. Major Lorne remains quiet.
"Is there a Stargate on the planet or a spacegate?" Tristan asks.
"There's a Stargate on the surface," Jarvis replies.
"Want the Wraith have their soldiers guarding the gate?" Lorne asks.
"Why should they, they don't expect anyone to attack them, but if they do we can easily neutralize them." Heath replies.
"Why would the Wraith not have guards?" Rodney asks.
"The planet is uninhabited no human presence have ever been there the Lantians had an armory buried on the planet which I assume is still there. If someone accidently arrives they probably leave when they see the Wraith Fortress and if they try to attack the Wraith they'll be killed."
"So they might have guards," John says. Jarvis nods in agreement. "What kind of armory?"
"No telling what's in it, drones, jumpers, ships who knows," Heath says.
"We need to take the ship and yes it will be a hard fight many lives could be lost. A diversion in orbit will take a lot of pressure off but the ground team will still have thousands of Wraith on the surface."
"Sir, you know this is a suicide mission," Flint says.
"That's why I will be asking for volunteers when we get all the Intel we need to initiate the plan." Heath tells them.
"What if you don't get enough volunteers?" Rodney asks.
"I'll go with those who volunteers and the Terminators," he replies.
"So are you approving the mission?" Rhodes asks.
"Yes, but no one is going until we get all the reconnaissance phots to minimize risk to both teams.
"General Horton to the gateroom," Amelia voice says over the intercom. Heath activates his radio.
"Amelia, what's going on?"
"Sir, we have an unscheduled off world activation from the Beta Site." He wanders why the Beta Site would be dialing in when there's no one at the Beta Site. He activates his radio calling for three security teams to the gateroom and prepare for a possible attack. He knows only a few teams are off world and he has only troops station at the Alpha Site, New Athos, Genii Homeworld, BX142, and on P135. They only thing they have on the Beta Site is a MALP and a few tents he was planning to send a small team to the planet to keep their alternate bases secured. He heads for the doors and the open automatically he enters the control room. He goes over to the view screen.
"Amelia, are we getting an IDC?" he asks her.
"Yes sir, its Lieutenant Sikes IDC but he's sending a video feed through the MALP, why didn't he just return to Atlantis with the Jumper." She shrugs. He sees Lieutenant Sikes looking back at him.
"Lieutenant, what's going on? Why didn't you just dial Aquarius and return in the Jumper instead of dialing the Beta Site and using the MALP?"
"Sir, three maybe four hours after our arrival on P135 the Wraith showed up again but this wasn't a Culling or an attack they were after Jenny sir," he says. However, she manage to escape into the wooded area with Ronon, the medical team, and with soldiers from the security team. I dialed the gate as soon as I could I had to use some fancy flying techniques to dodge Wraith fire but they hit us just as we started to go through the gate and we crash on the other side." Teyla and the others who were in the conference room arrived while Lieutenant Sikes is briefing him.
"Thank you, lieutenant we'll take it from here?"
"Sir, if you're planning a rescue I like to be on the mission," he says.
"How many men do you have?"
"Just me, and two others since we were sent up into orbit by Ronon to watch for any Wraith activity and also scan the planet incase the Wraith showed up again.
"Ronon, anticipated another Wraith attack?" Teyla asks.
"No there was no reason to they already attack and Culled most of the inhabitants but somehow they knew Jenny was there. Ronon only had us position just in case since the planet is a Wraith Feeding Ground and we know Death doesn't care who controls the feeding grounds."
"Very well Lieutenant Sikes, you may join with us come on through." Heath nods. The screen shuts off. Lieutenant Sikes and the three other marines exit the gate.
"Well come with you too," the others tell him. He's glad to have their help. They have no clue how many Wraith they'll face on the planet since there's a hive ship in orbit.
"Sir, what ship are we going to take because the gate will be guarded?" Major Flint asks.
"The Noah, its time to see how well a Lantian Destroyer fairs against a Hive ship and cruiser escorts. Colonel Sheppard, I want you to prepare a strike team for a plant assault." John nods. They gear up. Heath heads to the planet were the Noah is park, while John waits for his signal. Once onboard. The Noah's captain turned over the chair to him and takes his place at the XO's chair. The Noah lifts off and as soon as it exits from the planet's atmosphere it jumps into hyperspace. Lantian Unman Interceptors and fighters are ready to launch as soon as they exit from hyperspace. General Horton plans to turn over the chair to the captain once they arrive in orbit so he can lead a team to the surface using Lantian Beaming Technology.
Back on the planet, Ronon just return from the woods making sure the Wraith have found their trail. Ronon Dex goes over to Jenny. He knows it's only a matter of time before the Darts find them and they need cover. He notice several soldiers are gone but apparently no one knows they're missing. "How are you?" He asks her.
"Good," she answers. "Why do you think they're after us?"
"There Wraith and they hunt humans," Ronon says to her.
"Yes, I know, but this doesn't make any sense, I think there after one us and I bet I'm the one they're really after," she says. She knows the Wraith want her because they can use her as leverage over her husband. Ronon looks at her. He can see the fear in her eyes even if she isn't acting like she's afraid.
"Don't worry we want let them take you," he says to her. He doesn't know how much good it will do if the Wraith attack them with overwhelming numbers they don't have enough ammo to take on no more than twenty or so Wraith.
"What we need is a better defensive position." He's surprise by her comment.
"I notice two soldiers missing," he says.
"Oh they went to search for cover so we want be spotted from the air. I told them to check behind the waterfall."
"How long have they been gone?"
"Not long," she answers and with that she sees a marine corporal comes up to them.
"We've found a defensible position behind the waterfall." They follow him. On the other side they see a rock wall chest height. Jenny notices something behind the rock wall and she goes over to it. She climbs over the wall Ronon is surprise to see her climb the wall to him it's like she's isn't even pregnant. She looks at the walls shining her flashlight. Ronon comes over to her.
"What did you find?"
"These are Ancient symbols I guess they have something buried here." Ronon tells a marine to guard her. He nods. Ronon begins preparing for a Wraith assault as soon as the Wraith find them. He leaves the cave and goes and is going to try to slow the Wraith down. Staff Sergeant Will an Army Ranger volunteers to go help him. He tells the others to setup what defenses they can. They enter the woods. He tells the ranger to be careful since he laid traps for the Wraith. They don't get very far when they spot a Wraith patrol consisting of a Wraith Officer with 5 Wraith Soldiers/Drones. Will takes aim but Ronon stops him. Two more Wraith officers appear each with escorts. They hear a Dart fly overhead.
"Throw two fragmentation grenades, and a flashbang, then follow up with your weapon." Ronon tells him in a whisper. Will nods. He throws the flashbang first then the two fragmentation grenades. Ronon and Will follow up with their primary weapon. After the last Wraith is put down he tell Will to cover him. Ronon makes his way to the dead Wraith to make sure they're dead. One Wraith attempted to get back up so Ronon shoots him again. Three Wraith soldiers charge out of the woods Ronon shoots two out of the three but the third slams Ronon up against a tree, but Will shoots the Wraith in the head. Ronon thanks Will. Two more Wraith appear shooting stunners. Will and Ronon dive for cover to escape the stun blast. Ronon and Will return fire. Ronon weapon kills the Wraith with one shot, Will's weapon take multiple shots to kill a Wraith unless he hits them in the head. Ronon and Will combine their fire dropping the last three Wraith. Will has a LAW which stand for Light Anti-tank Weapon which is swung over his shoulder. They return to the waterfall and see four Wraith. Will pulls out a flashbang and throws it into the mist of Wraith. They're stun and blinded temporary but that's all Will and Ronon need to put them down with the help from a few soldiers from the cave. Ronon and Will with the other soldiers' reenter the cave. Jenny is still busy reading the Ancient symbols. Ronon once again leaves the cave to deal more damage to the Wraith pursuing them. As soon as he exits from the cave and enter the open area a stun bolt hits the tree above his head. He shoots the Wraith with his pistol. Two more appear and he eliminates them too. He heads back to the cave. A Wraith on top of the waterfall fires down at Ronon missing him. Ronon notice the Wraith carrying one of the Spear Guns. Ronon shoots back and the Wraith falls into the water below. Several more appear on the rocks above the waterfall firing down at the human. Ronon uses the rocks close to the cave to keep himself from getting hit by those weapons since they're not firing stunners but lethal. He makes it to the cave entrance and the Wraith Warriors/soldiers above don't have a clear sight on him. Two Wraith officer and ten Wraith soldiers appear in the clearing and fire at Ronon, he returns fire dropping an officer Ronon was lucky he wasn't hit. He fires again at another Wraith dropping him he falls against a tree never to rise again. He enters the cave. The surviving Wraith officer sends three soldiers in after him knowing the target they seek is inside. However as soon as they enter Ronon, Will, and another marine with a LMG are waiting for them. The three enemy soldiers are dealt with. The marine covers them while they relieve them of their weapons. Ronon looks at the security team and the medical team. They all know what's going to happen next. "Does any of you have claymores or C4?" Ronon asks.
"I have three claymores," a Ranger tells him.
"I have some C4," a marine says. They show Ronon and he tells them to place them at the entrance. He sends two others to protect them. The Wraith Commander arrives with five dozen Wraith Warriors/Drones. Now the Wraith have a battalion size force to swarm the cavern and taken the Lantian female. The commander hesitates for a second not knowing the size of the force of Lantians and how much firepower they have, but his lieutenants assure him the Lantians are small in number most being medical and they're short on bullets. He orders the attack. The claymores detonate first killing some but wounding others which some fed on their wounded comrades to continue the advance. A marine press the detonator detonating some of the C4 which killed many of the already wounded Wraith, then bullets slam into them to try to keep them from regenerating which worked. Three Wraith Warriors manage to stun four of the medical personal before they're killed. The cavern entrance is narrow enough to keep the Wraith from sending in enough troops to overrun them. Ronon kills a Wraith officer commanding the warriors. The Wraith fallback. Some are eliminated as they retreat others have bullet holes in them they even carried wounded Wraith who couldn't retreat. The marines, army rangers, and civilians reload their weapons and wait for the next assault. Jenny finally gets the Ancient/Lantian structure to open.
"Hurry get inside before they attack again and it closes," she says. They get inside carrying the ones stun in with them. Ronon is behind her when she entered the structure. Ronon notice the Lights coming on by themselves "so the structure must have some sort of power source maybe a ZPM or something like the Naquadah generators." Ronon thought. They follow the lights and enter a circle room with multiple exits and they notice a control room. Jenny moves to the control room. She italize the system and begin reading.
"What's this structure use for?" Ronon asks.
"It's a Lantian outpost use during the war but was abandon after the Wraith conqueror this sector," she says reading a screen. A screen also pops up showing Wraith entering the cavern. Three marines return to the entrance. They find themselves looking right at the Wraith but somehow the Wraith can't see them apparently the entrance use the same technology as the Puddle Jumpers cloak of course that's what the marines think since a Wraith stared right at him but didn't do anything. Jenny taps a few commands and the screen shows a Wraith Hive Ship and three cruisers in orbit.
"Does this outpost have any to shoot with?" he says pushing buttons on one of consoles. All of sudden a dozen drones head towards the Wraith ships but since they're aren't being mind control they go for the nearest ship first also they obliterated Darts along their flight path. Jenny looked at him. "Sorry," he says. She goes over to the console.
"Move," she tells the marine and he does so. She looks at the screen places her hand on either side which are the controls to guide the drones manually.
"Can you take out all the Wraith ships?" Ronon asks.
"No, only enough drones for two," she answered. The Drones were heading towards one of the cruiser but she diverts them towards the hive which launch Darts to try to intercept the drones, but they bypass the Darts and destroy the Hive. The remaining drones then target a cruiser and it too is destroyed. Only two Drones are left and she uses them on two Darts. Jenny collapse she never used her mind to control Drones before. Ronon catches her before she falls on the floor. A doctor looks at her. They hear an explosion and P90 and shotgun fire from the entrance. "How did the Wraith do that?" She shrugs not knowing. She brings up a screen and shows some sort of canon similar to a Go'uld Staff Cannon. She and the others sees the marines falling back but they're hit in the back by Wraith Lethal weapons.
"I'll see the control room but it want hold them forever," she says. She reads something. "They have a safe room which will protect us from the Wraith. However, you want be able to exit until the Wraith are gone." They look at her.
"We don't have a choice get to the safe," Ronon says. Jenny goes over to a console. "What are you doing?"
"We need to turn off these consoles so the Wraith can't use them here's the only place to open the safe no matter if there are Wraith here or not." Ronon nods. She shuts down the consoles so the Wraith can use them since they don't have the ATA Gene. She just finish when two Wraith Warriors entered firing stunners. Ronon kills both of them, but more entered. An army ranger with a Squad Automatic Weapon is with them. He toss a fragmentation grenade and stands up and opens fire with his SAW cutting down several more warriors before a lethal bolt hits him in the face. Ronon takes a smoke grenade from the lifeless soldier and throws it to cover their movement. They stayed low to avoid stunners and lethal bolts. They make it to the entrance. A stun bolt hits Jenny in the shoulder but she doesn't collapse from it, another bolt misses Ronon but by inches he kills the Wraith. Jenny looks at Ronon and says, "Forgive me." She pushes him into the safe room. She turns to face the Wraith. She kills three before she's hit by multiple stunners. A Wraith warrior picks her up and takes her outside showing her to the Wraith Commander. A Dart swoops in and picks them up. Since they have their prize they leave the planet but first the Culled the prisoners. The Darts have to land on a cruiser since the Hive was destroyed. The Darts are being recalled just as a hyperspace window opens and the Noah exits. On the planet Ronon and the others exit from the safe room and arrive back into the control room.
"Does anyone have the gene or the gene therapy?" Ronon ask. An army ranger who named tag read Stevie raise his hands. "I need you to activate a screen to find out what is happening I'm sure General Horton has arrived." Corporal Stevie goes over to the console and reactivates it a screen pops up showing Darts returning to the cruisers and they see a hyperspace window open and an unidentified ship appears. Ronon watches as one of the cruisers turned towards the Noah and opens fire. The cruiser also launch its complement of Darts. "That must be the Noah or the Hammer. Get communications online we must tell them Jenny is onboard the second cruiser."
Onboard the Noah General Horton is in the command chair. Colonel Sheppard is onboard one of the Lantian Fighters part of the Noah Complement. The Lantian Fighters launch as soon as they exit from hyperspace. The Noah opens fire with her energy weapons causing massive damage to the first cruiser. The cruiser hits the Noah's shields but didn't drop. The first cruiser is destroyed in only 45 seconds. "Concentrate fire on the second cruiser don't allow them to escape."
"Sir, we're receiving a message from Ronon," a Lantian tells him.
"Put it through," heath says.
"Heath don't destroy the second cruiser Jenny is onboard," Ronon says on the radio. Heath gives the order to disable the ship but it jumped into hyperspace before they could fire. Heath slams his fist down on the chair and swore. They deal with the Darts, then Heath beams Ronon and the other survivors on board. The Noah reenters hyperspace and is on its way back to Aquarius. Rodney didn't complain about not studying the Lantian structure they can tell Heath is upset. Heath walks to his quarters onboard the Noah not saying a word to anyone not even Ronon he just ignored him as Ronon attempted to apologize and others telling him they'll get her back. He enters his quarters and lays down. He tries to figure out why the Wraith want her and then it hit him to get him.
In the cafeteria/mess hall onboard the Noah Teyla and the others are talking. "He has to know it wasn't your fought Ronon," Teyla says to him.
"Yeah buddy Heath knows it isn't your fought," john says to him trying to cheer him up.
"It's just I was responsible for her and I was here to protect her and I failed."
"Ronon, you didn't know the Wraith would come back."
"Why would the Wraith come back to a planet they basically destroyed and Culled majority of the population that is what I can't figure out," Rodney says.
"They came back for her?"
"Why would they do that?" Ronon shrugs thinking why would the Wraith seek a human like they did she's not a Runner like he was. "Most humans who get shot by a Wraith Stunner fall down unconscious we've seen it plenty of times." Ronon says out loud. They're shock by Ronon's comment.
"Your people have been able to withstand a few stun hits," Rodney says.
"She's not Satedan though," Ronon replies.
"It has to be the baby it has both Lantian and Wraith DNA in its genetic makeup," Rodney says. They nod. Heath enters the cafeteria and goes over to them.
"Sorry for ignoring all of you. I can't imagine what the Wraith made do to her." They accept his apology. "Ronon, I know it wasn't your fought it could've happen to anyone including myself."
"We've been trying to figure out why they wanted her in the first place," John says.
"The Wraith want to use her as leverage to get me. Once we find her the Wraith will do whatever they can to get me she's the bait."
"Heath, we'll get her back safe and sound," John says the others agree. The Noah reaches Aquarius and lands in the hanger. They exit the ship Heath is the last one still onboard. He has a screen up showing Wraith Strongholds near the planet they took Jenny from. He know the Wraith could have taken her to any stronghold or she's onboard one of their Hives.
