Attack on Helium Prime

Part 2

The Wraith are taking over the planet the Helium Prime soldiers are in full retreat to the citadel to make their last stand. They make a fighting retreat. Several Wraith Darts are blown out of the sky. Three days later the Wraith have conquered the continent. The citadel is the only place left for them to take unless you count the secret bunkers in the mountains. Many of the inhabitants will remain there until the Wraith leave. Darts head towards the citadel majority of the citadel's anti-air emplacements have been destroyed during the drawn-out battle. Several Puddle Jumpers try to defend the citadel downing Darts and even several enemy scout ships, but they're destroyed too. Several Aquarius Reconnsiance Teams blow several Darts with their Stingers. However even with the Puddle Jumpers and the Stingers still couldn't put a dent in the fleet of Darts they destroy the anti-air emplacements. They beam down Wraith Warriors or soldiers into the courtyard and onto the battlements. The Wraith also breech the citadel's gate. The 3 Aquarius Reconnsiance Team members open fire with their P90s drooping a few Wraith Warriors before they're hit in the face from stunners. Machine-guns open up taking out many Wraith Warriors before Darts crashed into the MG positions. The Wraith are using both stun weapons and the lethal versions of the same weapons. The stunned victims are being taken to the courtyard and thrown into a pile where a Wraith Dart will collect them. They're heading to the main part of the citadel like a keep. The Helium Prime president comes up to General Horton. "General Horton, I would like you to take the still frozen Lantians back to Aquarius with you. Hopefully you can end this war," he tells him. They loaded the 120 still frozen Lantians most of them being soldiers within the Lantian Military onto the train and then the rest board the train along with 40 of the President's Personal Bodyguard. The train heads towards the hanger bay. Heath, John, Teyla, and Ronon watched the monitor as the Wraith breeched the main building. The Helium Prime soldiers and the president's personal bodyguards put up a valiant effort but the Wraith stunned a few and others with lethal. The general and the prudent are taken captive. Heath watches as a Wraith Queen enters, but he notices this wasn't a queen but the empress he has heard about. Teyla looks at her. "She looks like a human more than a Wraith." She points out. John and Ronon look too.

"Yes, I agree," Heath answered. They watched as the empress feeds on the general taking all his years. Once she has finished with the general she moves over to the president. She touches a finger to the president's head. Teyla, Heath, John, Ronon and the others on the train can hear the audio too. The empress removes her finger.

"The abomination is here and is on his way to a Lantian Hanger. General, take two thousand Warriors and bring me his head on a spike," The empress says. The general bows and leaves. They make it to the hanger. General Horton gives the order for them to begin boarding the ship several Helium Prime Soldiers are present along with a squad from Aquarius. General Horton exits from the train. He sees several soldiers unloading several crates.

"What's in the crates corporal?" General Horton asks.

"Two .50 caliber machineguns sir, we didn't use them in the defense we have other crates with other stuff in them." The corporal answered.

"Rodney, how goes the repairs? How long before we can get airborne and return to Aquarius?"

"I still need 48 hours to go," he replies. "This ship was damage during the war. Shields are still down so is the hyperdrive. I have weapons and some other systems online including Lantian Beaming Technology."

"McKay, we don't have 48 hours," Ronon says.

"He's right Rodney there are Wraith pursuing us," Teyla tells him. Rodney looks at a monitor of one of the ships and see the Wraith making their way to the subway tunnel.

"It will still take them 11 hours to reach us here. I can try to seal some of the blast doors which should slow them down even further."

"Then do it," John says.

"I can't from here," he replies. "It's up in the control room in the area the Wraith control above us."

Colonel Sheppard, setup a defensive position and get the hanger door partway close so if the Wraith begin to overrun us we want have them flooding into the hanger until the doors close which should by us at least a few hours. I need volunteers to help me get to the control room and shut those doors." Ronon, a marine, and 2 Helium Prime soldiers volunteered. They head towards the surface. John gets the others preparing for their quest arrival. Heath and his team arrived at a transporter which leads to the surface. They get into the transporter and Heath presses a button. They're transported close to the control room. They exit and spot two Wraith soldiers, but Ronon takes them out with both headshots from his special pistol. Heath looks at the Wraith weapons and noticed they're lethal. They continue to the control room and see the bodies of dead Lantians and Wraith all now skeletons. They reach the control room and find Wraith inside most warriors with a few officers' present. "Ronon, do you think you can draw the Wraith out and double back to our entrance point." Ronon nods. Heath hands him a flashbang. Ronon throws the flashbang into the room after the grenade goes off he enters catching 5 Wraith warriors off guard and taken them out of the fight. He insults them and runs away. The Wraith chase after him and he shoots over his shoulder killing another one. After they're sure the Wraith can't get back to them in a hurry they enter the control room and eliminate the remaining Wraith. The Helium Prime soldiers and the marine formed a perimeter. Heath goes over to the door controls panel but notices it was blasted he's sure it happens when the Wraith first assault the planet many years ago. They hear P90 fire as the marine firs on advancing Wraith drones. The Helium Prime soldiers goes and give him a hand. Suddenly, General Horton is thrown against a wall. Heath knows this is a officer. He removes his Desert Eagle from its holster and opens fire the Wraith officer continues to advance towards him. Finally, the Wraith falls. The colonel reloads and shoots the officer in the head for good measure. He heads to the door 2 of them are dead and the marine is severely wounded. "Go sir before more arrive." He hands him the Helium Prime weapons and reloaded his P90 for him. A Wraith Warrior appears but Ronon appears and kills him.

"Good luck marine," I tell him. general Horton knows he want survive. Ronon and Heath run to the transporter. Wraith warriors are after them. They jump into the transporter just as lethal and stun bolts slam into the doors. He pressed the button and they're transported back where they start from. The doors open and four Lantian Marines have their weapons pointed directly in their faces. They lower them once they recognized them.

"Sorry sir, we thought you could've been Wraith," a Lantian marine says.

"Where did you come from?" Ronon asks.

"Captain Dave beamed us down to help you general."

"How many did he beam down?"

"12 sir and 2 Lantian Robots," the Lantian replied. "We're also guarding the stairway.

"Excellent work sergeant," Heath tells him. He gets out of the transporter and as soon as he and Ronon are out they see a light the doors open and Wraith are there. They open fire cutting them down. Ronon and Heath returned to the hanger leaving the transporter to be defended by the sergeant and his men.

"Did you get the doors close?" John asks. Heath shakes his head no.

"John, I need you to go and help them hold the transporter and the stairway." John nods and goes with his team except for Rodney. The Wraith continue to send them through the transporter while others moved down the stairway. Once the breeched the stairway with explosives. The Lantians who defended the installation a long time ago laid other surprises for them figuring one day they would breach the stairs. The surprises cause them to slow down. Meanwhile the Wraith continue to move up the tunnel. Heath comes up with idea to slow them down. He turns to of the men and tells them to mount a machinegun onto the back of the train. They get to work his plan is to take the train back the way they come and slow the Wraith down. Eight soldiers volunteered for the task. They place the train into reverse and head the way they came. General Horton tells them to stop and to get ready for the Wraith. They plane some C-4 and claymores as well.

The Wraith finally arrived, Heath and the other open fire cutting down many Wraith, but they continue to advance. One of the 50-caliber machine-guns tore into them. A lethal bolt hits the gunner in the face. Heath takes over the gun himself. Marine kills several Wraith with his P90 just before a stun blot strikes him. Many Wraith are following. Heath gives the signal and a C4-charge is detonated but it also causes debris to fall onto the Wraiths head which gave him a clever idea. He gives the order for two marines to fire AT4s to collapse the roof. Another marine is hit by a lethal bolt and falls off the train. However, the explosions cave in the roof which kills several of the Wraith in the process. Heath gives the word to head back he knows the cave-in want to stop the Wraith for long. He hopes the cave-in will give Rodney some extra time to work the Wraith still have a lot of ground to cover even after they get through the cave end. As soon as they returned the train is still facing the tunnel he tells them to keep a sharp eye out. The stunned and dead are loaded onto the ship. Heath goes to check on Lieutenant Colonel Sheppard, Teyla, and Ronon. Heath arrives and sees more dead bodies all Wraith in front of the transporter. "John, what happened?"

"We disabled the transporter," John replies. "Those are the bodies of the ones who were still inside."

"Did you manage to slow down the Wraith?" Teyla asks.

"Yes, we cause a cave in which should give us some time to get the ship ready?" Heath activates his radio. "Rodney how are the repairs progressing?"

"they're progressing there was some damage I wasn't sure about in another few hours we should be good to go until we return to Aquarius."

"Good, the sooner we can leave the better the Wraith are working hard to get here?"

"Didn't you seal the tunnel and disable the transporters?" Rodney asks.

"Yes, but they'll clear away enough debris to get through and the Wraith are in control of the control room but most of the consoles were destroyed. I'm going to lead a team to make sure."

"I don't have to tell you what the Wraith can do in that control room," Rodney says.

"No, you don't McKay," he answered. Heath knows they'll have to use another stairway to gain entrance to the area above. John, Teyla, Ronon, and 2 Lantian Marines volunteered to accompany him while the rest hold the stairway and keep a couple guards on the transporter. Ronon is ahead of them. They encounter no Wraith until they reached near the control room they spot several patrols and have to hide. The Wraith didn't see them and they continue towards another set of stairs. Colonel Sheppard radios the men and tell them the Wraith are moving down another set of stairs and to watch out. Once the Wraith are gone they head to the control room. Heath considers looking into control room and he sees a dozen Wraith inside. The don't know if more are nearby that could come if they begin shooting up the control room. Sheppard suggest Heath use his Wraith powers to go in there while they watch his six. Heath takes a deep breath he knows he can do it. He walks into the control room. The Wraith pointed their weapons at him. However, they start to lower their weapons. Heath tells them to return to the Hive and report directly to their queen. They bow and depart. John, Teyla, and Ronon entered. "Wow that worked," John says. Heath goes over to the consoles and smashed them. He even plant C-4 so the Wraith wouldn't be able to repair the damage. Two Wraith Warriors enter but Ronon takes care of them. Additional Wraith arrived. "Time to go," Heath says. They exit the control room firing at the Wraith Warriors a stunner narrow miss Heath's head. They stop a few times to fire back at their pursuers. They drop 8 Wraith Warriors and one officer before climbing down the stairs two at a time. The Wraith continue to pursue them. Ronon fires up killing another but causing several to trip over their fallen comrade. They reach the bottom and find the marines they left behind dead. Ronon and Teyla fires up the stairs and 4 Wraith tumbles down. Heath tries to radio the others but gets only static. John picks up an LMG from the corpse of a dead marine. They head towards the hanger. Prior to reaching the hanger they come across a squad of Helium Prime soldiers who escort them to the hanger. They enter the hanger and then board the ship.

"Are we ready yet Rodney?" Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard asks.

"I'm done the repairs should hold until we get back home," McKay replies. The rest board the ship and the hanger bay doors close just has Wraith begin appearing a few Helium Prime soldiers sacrificed themselves to allow the doors to close. General Horton sits down in the command chair while Teyla, Ronon, McKay, and Sheppard find a place on the bridge along with a few Lantian/Ancient Marines. General Horton opens the hanger roof and begins to take off. Heath realizes the ship is a Lantian Dreadnaught. He can tell some of the ships weapons are offline they have CIWS along with 2 Lantian Energy Weapon turrets online and they have access to Drones and the shield is only at 55%. THE CIWS take care of the Darts until Heath can open a hyperspace window. The Noah sends a squadron of Unman Interceptors to help escort the dreadnaught. The Dreadnaught enters the space around the planet but Wraith ships begin to coverage on him. "Hold on we're going to have to fight our way through." The Dreadnaught destroys several cruisers and a single Hive Ship but they're still taking fire even from the Super Hive. The shields are now down to 14%. Heath opens a hyperspace window and jumps away. The Noah follows them into hyperspace. However, the Lantian Dreadnaught drops out of hyperspace early. Rodney looks at his tablet. "The engines took some hits." He tells them.

"Why would the Wraith target our engines?" John asks.

"That would be under the empress orders she wants me according to many Wraith I'm an abomination that should've never occurred," Heath answered.

"It doesn't matter now because if I don't get the engines repaired we'll be stuck here," Rodney says.

"Rodney I'll help you repair the engines," Heath tells him. Rodney nods. Major Rhodes also offered to help with whatever needs to be done.

"Want Woolsey send the Noah or the Hammer to look for us?" Teyla asks.

"They will but they don't know exactly where we dropped out so it could take them years or months to find us," Heath replies.

"Is there a stargate nearby?" John asks. Rodney looks at his tablet.

"Not within an hour's flight of here the nearest one would take 85 hours to reach." Rodney replies. "I will work on trying to get the engines online.

"How did the Wraith even hit the engines/hyperdrive?" Sheppard asks. "I thought we had shields."

"We did but the shields weren't fully charged," McKay says.

"I thought Lantian shields are far more superior then Wraith and can take a lot of punishment," Teyla says.

"They are but we were being attacked by Darts, cruisers, and 2 of their destroyers we even took some hits from the super hive as we made our escape," Heath tells them.

The Noah arrives in orbit over Aquarius, but they see no sign of the Lantian Dreadnaught. Mr. Woolsey contacts the Noah asking where is the Dreadnought and the Noah captain replies he doesn't know.
