Granddaughter, 外孙女,

I am very sorry that I am not able to see you in person once more before I die. My time is just too short. I suppose a letter is the next-best thing!

You are already such an amazing girl - kind, sweet, smart, and destined for great things. I know that you are steeped in, and sometimes split between, two very different cultures, both of which have inherent magic. Our family has a history, and you, wonderful girl, are chosen to carry on our legacy.

The last to wield this magic was my own grandmother, who passed her stories onto me. I don't want to give away much, especially to others who might find this letter, but be aware that the magic will find you. Keep being your beautiful, kind self, and I know you'll meet the people who can help you.

Paris is home to much magic. You won't be alone. There are great things in store for you,外孙女.

Forever yours in love,

Grandmother

姥姥

(A/N): the simplified Chinese characters are Mandarin translations of granddaughter (twice) and grandmother (at the end.) I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And thanks to those who reviewed last chapter! It made me very happy! :) I didn't really think anybody else would be interested in this random idea.

So... thoughts on more letters? Yes or nah?
