Dean gets in the driver's seat and Sam sits in the passenger's seat. Jade and Crash get in the back on their neutral sides.
Sam: "Well, I can help you with the education part. I know a lot about demons and all that stuff that goes bump in the night."
Jade: "It would take months for me to fill my head with half the knowledge that we need for this battle. This thing has been hunting dad for years to claim its debt. Maybe it's like some sort of hell hound that comes to collect a soul after a deal has been made."
Crash: "I can tell you it's not like a hell hound because I saw it. Hell hounds only reveal themselves to the person who made the deal. Nobody else can see them. They're invisible. Second, I never made any deal with any demon so why the hell the collector would be revealing itself to me? I'm not the intended soul."
Sam: "Maybe your dad's deal involved his children too."
Crash: "Yeah. He supposedly couldn't be around any of us because he didn't want this thing killing us."
Jade: "No. I think dad did make a deal. I think dad made some sort of deal with this creature promising it something in return for a favor. Maybe he was in a life or death situation and didn't feel like it was his time so this thing saved him, but at the price of something that wouldn't be revealed until 10 years."
Dean: "That sounds like their M.O. Our dad had to put himself in plenty of those situations with us."
Sam: "That makes sense. If this thing is a reaper it wants a soul in return for saving his. So it's coming after his youngest child because of the gift. It wants to use your gift for some purpose."
Crash: "That can't be good. But, we both have a gift from the sounds of it."
Jade: "Those crazy ass dreams are a gift? I don't think so."
Sam: "It goes back to what I said earlier. If you have the right training those dreams can save people."
Jade: "How the hell do you train something that comes on without any warning signs? It's like trying to cure a sneeze. It's not some Jedi mind force thing that can be molded against evil. It's like an instinct or a twitch. "
Sam: "I know. I've got the same twitch, but I learned that I could control it and I've used it to help people."
Jade: "No wonder your so hell bent on these dreams being used for good. What was that whole chosen speech you were giving me in Vegas about anyway?"
Sam: "The chosen speech was about something that was told to me. There are a group of psychic kids just like you and me with different crazy abilities out there trying to control their gifts the same as you and I."
Jade: "Well, if our gifts are connected to what happened with Dean and Crash, I'd rather have it dormant. The whole damn situation makes me uncomfortable and jittery. I can't help if I'm quivering and shaking like a little old lady over it."
Crash: "That's the normal reaction to things like this. You're supposed to be afraid of it. But, the point is to basically control your fear and the shaking and quivering will disappear. You channel it into your training. Every time you shutter or get unexplained weird feelings you just put it into your training. Use it like energy."
Jade: "Or just yell "Piss off you freak" at random like you'd do."
Crash: "Yeah. You see what that got me, right?"
Dean: "Odd looks like you need a strait jacket or more meds."
Crash: "Give the man a cookie. You're smart as well as good looking."
Dean: "Well, I do have my charm."
He smiles his smirk smile and Sam shakes his head.
Sam: "Anyway, I can help train you if you're willing."
Crash: (in her best Yoda voice): "Train you, he must young Jedi. The Force in you is strong. "
Jade: "You're cracked, dude."
She wads up a nearby flannel shirt as a pillow and leans against the side of the car trying to relax with ten tons of stuff on her mind. They were going back home for the first time in a good 10 years at least. Jade remembered leaving Lawrence when she was 15. She's 25 now. Crash was 12 when they left and 28 now. She wondered if the old house was still like she remembered it and if the old tree house was still in that old tree that had been there for decades before they were even alive. Suddenly, another dream is brought on. She's laughing as a young child running around that tree chasing her sister. She can see her mom and dad sitting on the front porch of the old farm house waving with their arms around each other.
Crash: "Long car trips make me bored and I am in no position back here to have any fun. These seats are too tall for me to play with Dean or torture Sam."
Sam: "Why would you want to torture me?"
Crash: "Bored with nothing else better to do and if your anything like Jade, well it'll be easy."
Sam: "I've been tortured by the best of them."
Dean: "Thank you."
Sam: "That wasn't a compliment dude."
Dean: "I have to be good at something why not be good at torturing my own brother?"
Sam: "You're good at hunting and that has nothing to do with me."
Dean: "It has everything to do with you. I couldn't hunt without you. I tried it, remember?"
Sam: "Yeah and when you came back my girlfriend caught on fire on the ceiling of my dorm room. How can I forget?"
Dean: "You can't honestly blame me for that."
Sam: "No. I blame Yellow Eyes, but it was just coincidental that all that stuff started happening as soon as you fell through my dorm room window into my living room."
Dean: "So, you do blame me for Jess's death. I knew you had resentment towards me."
Sam: "Seriously? You want to turn this into an argument on how I hate you right now?"
