AU. Emma moves back to New York after they defeat Zelena, determined to keep her walls up and never realizing what home truly is for her. Meanwhile, Captain Hook is stranded in a new realm where people don't really trust him but where he is determined to stay and create a home for himself. Along the way both find out that sometimes you have to grow apart to find each other again.

The abandoned farm on the outskirts of Storybrooke gets new residents, but the solitary couple soon catches Regina's attention. Perhaps it's just the memories of her own unhappy marriage, or Birch Hill is keeping a secret scarier than the darkest nightmare. She has to reach the introverted Zelena to find out a truth she can only face with the help of her girlfriend Emma.

A series of 100-500 word drabbles to accompany my rewatch of season 2 of Once Upon a Time as an attempt to finally jump start the muse again. There will be a drabble-either a deleted scene, a "fix it" fic or a character musing for each episode of the season. Focus will be on Emma, Henry, the Charmings and Killian-with an emphasis on the very beginnings of Captain Swan.

Set in the middle of the pilot, when Henry brought Emma to Storybrooke. Regina decides that it would be nice to have someone new in town, so she tries to woo Emma in hopes of finding love again. Emma wasn't looking for a relationship, but after seeing Regina, maybe she'll make an exception.
