Chapter 18
Walkinginto the penthouse Sonny remarks to Carly who was sitting on the couch "You could have waited for me before taking the elevator up to the penthouse level"
"I could have but I didn't want to"
"We had a nice moment in the limo" Sonnyreminds her as Francis shuts the penthouse door
"Yeah until your ruined it with your crazy talk"
"Crazy talk?" Sonny questions back
"Yeah as in you're crazy to think for even one second that I would ever marry you."
Sitting himself down onto the coffeetable so he's facing her Sonny points out "We have amazing chemistry together"
"You're a kidnapper"
Letting out a heavy sigh Sonny goes onto say "We're having a baby together"
"You're still a kidnapper"
"We have things in common"
"Actually we don't since I don't go around kidnapping people" Carly smirks
"We're both fighters, stubborn, uh… we're good in bed together" Sonny grins back at her
"So we fight and you're stubborn I still don't want to marry you and as for being good in bed so are other guys. You're not the only dick in town you know"
"I said we're stubborn" Sonny corrects her before going on to say "And no man would ever touch you but me anyways so you can just forget about seeing other men"
"Since when? Because I know for a fact plenty of men think I'm attractive?"
"Since you got yourself pregnant with my child. Only a man with a death wish would try
to take something that belongs to me" Sonnyremarks back since no one touches what was his!
"Well here's a newsflash for you Sonny I don't belong to you" Carly comments as sherolls her eyes at him
Letting out a heavy sigh Sonny goes onto say "And as for why you'll marry me it's because you know it's the right thing to do by our child."
"I was wrong to try and keep our child away from you" Carly admits
"Yes you were" Sonny agrees with a nod
Leaning into him Carly goes on to say "But you're dead wrong if you think I'll marry you"
"So you need more time to think about it no problem. I can wait"
"I said no Sonny." Carly states as Sonnystands up from his spot on the coffee table and makes his way towards his desk.
"Like I said you need more time"
Watching Sonny as he sits himself downat his desk Carly questions "Shouldn't you be going back to the warehouse?"
"I should be but I'm needed here more"
"Trust me you're not needed here" Carly commentsas Sonny opens his desk drawer and pulls out a file.
"Taggert stressed you out so I'm staying to make sure you and the baby are alright" Sonny says as he opens the folder he pulledout from his desk
"We're fine. I told you in the limo we were alright Sonny"
"I know but I'm staying as a precaution" Lookingaway from his file Sonny goes on to suggest "Why don't you go upstairs and take a nap it would do you and our baby some good"
"I'm not tired Sonny" Carly sighs out heavily
"You should be considering you spent most of the night kicking me" Sonny notes as he looks back at his folder
"Oh please. You're still walking normally so I doubt I caused you that much pain"
"I recover fast, a lesser man wouldn't have" Sonnystates as his penthouse door opens…
"Boss Mike's downstairs and he's upset that you told the men not to let him up to the
penthouse level."
"I'm busy. Tell Mike whatever he wants it can wait" Sonny utters out since he was in no mood to deal with Mike especiallyafter their last argument about him cheating on Tammy.
"Sure thing boss" Francis nods before shuttingthe penthouse door
"Aren't you curious to know what Mike wants? He is your father after all." Carly asks
"You were here the last time I saw Mike so you should know the answer to that question"
"Yeah I heard he cheated on his girlfriend but I also heard you tell Mike you would
be there for your brother or sister" Carlypoints out
"Baby's take nine months to be born so until that day comes I have no desire to deal
with Mike. I have my hands full as it is with my own life"
"Don't you want to find out who's the mother of your baby brother or sister? She could
be a gold digger"
"Mike has no money" Sonny laughs out beforeinforming her "and I have men looking into the situation"
"You know you wouldn't have your hands full if you got out of the kidnapping
business and let me live where I want to live"
Looking back at her Sonny says "I thought you said you were wrong to keep me away from my child"
"Yes but that doesn't mean I agree to live with you. We hardly know each other Sonny."
"You should have thought about that before sleeping with me and getting yourself pregnant"
"Oh, that's right. I got myself pregnant on my own. You had no part of this pregnancy"
Letting out a heavy sigh Sonny replies "I'm not saying that but it happened and we have to do what's right for our child. I'm not going to be a part time dad while you have sleazebags coming in and out of our child's life"
"Who says I will have sleazebags coming in and out of our child's life? I could meet
a good guy you know" When Sonny juststares at her Carly insists "Don't look at me like that! I could if I wanted to!"
"You would walk all over a good guy and chew him up then spit him right out, and any
so call good guy would go running for the hills with the crap you pull"
"You act like you know me. Well you don't Sonny! You may think you know everything
but you don't know me"
"Am I wrong?" Sonny questions back
"Yes" Carly remarks as she makes a grab for hercrutches
Watching her as she makes her waytowards him he asks "What are you doing?"
"I'm leaving"
Standing up from his desk chair Sonnyasks "And where do you think you're going?"
"Oh I don't know maybe out to find myself a good guy and bring some spice into his life."
As Carly tries to open the penthousedoor with some difficulty due to her crutches Sonny places his hand over thedoor as he tells her "You're not going anywhere"
"You know I'm really getting sick and tired of you trying to control my life. Ever since I met you at your safe house all you've done was boss me around!"
"I told you I'm staying home instead of being at work because I want to make sure the baby is alright. If you left the penthouse without me what would be the purpose of me missing work today?"
"I told you the baby and I are fine so go back to work and let me live a little. Carly Babes loves to have fun and she hasn't had any fun since she met you"
"If that was true you wouldn't be pregnant right now" Sonny notes
"Okay maybe I had a little fun" Carly admits
"Yeah?" Sonny grins as he leans into her a little.Brushing a few strains of Carly's hair away from his face Sonny goes on tocomment "I think you had more fun than just a little"
Chewing on her lower lip as his handgazes her cheek slightly as he pushed her hair away from her face Carly couldfeel the electricity that was there between them whenever he got close to her.
Clearing her throat a little Carlysoftly says "Maybe I need a reminder"
"I think you do" Sonny remarks before hislips crashes down onto hers.

"Sonny isn't busy, that's bullshit and we both know it!" Mike shouts out into the lobby as a few people walking by stare at him
Letting out a heavy sigh Rolandostates "You need to leave"
"Okay, I understand my son is upset with me but you need to tell him sooner or later
he will have to deal with me. I'm his father and I'm not going away no matter how much he tries to push me away."
"I'll give him your message"
Giving Rolando a curious look Mikegoes on to ask "What do you know about my son's fiancé?"
Shrugging his shoulder Rolando states "Nothing I can share. If you want to know about the boss's fiancé you should ask the boss"
"I would but my son doesn't want to talk to me right now and from the little I saw
of his fiancé I'm worried about him."
"The boss is more than capable of taking care of himself"
"That may be true but I'm his father so I can't help but worry about this sudden
engagement my son has taken up with that woman." Mike remarks since he could tell she was trouble from the moment sheopened her mouth.
"Like I told you I can't help you. The boss doesn't like anyone talking about his
personal life"
"I'm family" Mike points out
"You're going to have to ask the boss about his fiancé if you want to know more about
her." Rolando repeats
Shaking his head, Mike lets out aheavy sigh before walking away from him since he could tell Rolando wasn'tgoing to give him any info about the new lady in his son's life.

Walking into Sonny's office Jason asksas he notices the worried look across Benny's face as he sat at Sonny's desk "What's wrong?"
"I think the boss might have a big problem"
"What now?" Jason asks with a heavy sigh
"I just found out who Mike got pregnant"
"Well who is it?" Jason questions; wishing Benny would just come out with it.
"Her name is Millie Mills"
"I never heard of her so what's the problem?"
"She's a stripper that goes by the name of Temptation"
"Sonny and Luke used to own a strip club Benny so I doubt Sonny will take that much
offence to Mike getting a stripper pregnant"
"Yeah well there more to this" Benny states ashe stands up from the chair he was sitting on "She works at a club that Sorel protects."
Letting out a heavy sigh Jason asks "So you think she's connected to Sorel and this is some sort of set up by Sorel to get to Sonny?"
"The thought crossed my mind, yeah" Benny nods
"Do some more digging Benny. We have to find out if this is some sort of big fluke
or if Mike just fell into a trap" Jasonorders out before heading back out of the office to let Sonny know what wasgoing on

In Florida, Lenny slowly walks towardshis front door. With a small moan he opens his front door and comes face toface with his father "Dad?"
"I heard you were back in town. What the hell happen to you son? You look like hell?"
"How did you find out I was back home?" Lennyasks confused as his father walks past him inside his apartment
"That crazy lady who lives next door to you called me. I gave her my phone number
once and asked her to call me if something happened to you because your mom and I always hated that you decided to live in this part of town."
"You gave your phone number to Mrs. Dale?"
"Yeah that's her. She said my bastard son was home and if I was smart I would tell
him to never go back to Port Charles again. What the hell is going on Lenny?!"
Shutting his apartment door closedLenny remarks "I told you dad I was going to Port Charles to save Carly from that mobster Sonny Corinthos"
"Sonny Corinthos did that to you?!"
"No his hit man Jason Morgan did it" Lenny saysas he slowly walks over to the couch to sit down
"Damn it Lenny! I told you it was dangerous! What the hell is wrong with you!? You
know when your sister died it almost destroyed your mom and I. I can't lose another child son, and I won't!"
"It's Carly dad. She's not just some random girl. She's like family to me I had to
help her" Lenny tells his father as hesits down on the couch while wincing
"I know" he sighs out before going on to ask"So does that mean Carly is back home?"
"No dad she isn't. I failed her and her child" Lennywhispers out
Sitting down beside his son on thecouch he wraps his arm around his shoulder as he says "I'm sorry son"

Breaking away from her soft moist lipsSonny lets out a small grunt as he gazes into her desired filled eyes. He hadto admit he was normally good at reading people but when it came to Carly shewas harder to read. One minute she was refusing to marry him and the next she
was letting him kiss her. He wasn't sure if this was some sort of hormone thingbut he had a feeling it wasn't.
"What's wrong?" Carly asks as Sonny just staresat her with this intense look.
It felt like he was trying to read hersoul. Never had a look from one person had an effect on her as much as the waySonny would sometimes stare at her.
"Nothing" Sonny mumbles out before his lips captureher once more. He wasn't about to break the mood by telling her what was on hismind, especially since he needed tobe with her right now.
Carly lets out a moan as his tonguemingles with hers; the spark that was between them ignites a fire that wasragging inside of her ever since she first met Sonny that faithful night shesaved his life.
Her crutches fall to the floor as shewraps her arms around Sonny's neck; pulling him closer to her.
Hearing Carly as she lets out a smallwhimper as she stands on her two feet without the support of her crutches Sonnybends down and picks her up into his arms.
Opening the penthouse door Jason letsout a small groan at seeing Sonny and Carly making out as Sonny carried Carlyin his arms heading towards the staircase.
Clearing his throat a little Jasoncalls out to them "Sonny we need to talk"
Turning around, Sonny lips break awayfrom Carly's as he utters out annoyed at
Jason for interrupting him when he should be at the warehouse working "I'm busy!"
"This can't wait" Jason insists since he knewthat Sonny would want to know right away that Mike may have just fallen intoSorel's trap.
As Sonny starts carrying her towardsthe couch Carly asks "You're not seriously doing what I think you're doing are you?!"
Placing her gently on the couch Sonnylets out a heavy sigh as he explains to her "Jason said it was important"
"Unbelievable!" Carly snaps out as she shoots both Sonnyand Jason a dirty look
"I'll come back as soon as I can and then we can you know…"
"Forget it! I don't know what the hell I was thinking anyways! I must have been out of
my mind to ever let you kiss me!" Carlyremarks with annoyance laced into her voice at Sonny choosing Jason over her.
Removing his gaze from off Carly andback towards Jason, Sonny shoots him a deadly look since Jason just cost himsome much needed loving time with Carly.
Making his way towards Jason, Sonnynaps out "This better be fucking good or you're a dead man!"
As Sonny storms past him, Jason letsout a heavy sigh as he tells Carly "Sorry"
"Oh go to HELL!" Carly yells out to him asshe grabs a throw pillow that was on the couch and tosses it at him.
As Jason catches the pillow Carlythrew at him he hears Sonny yell out from the hallway
"Jason I'm waiting!"
"Coming" Jason calls out to Sonny as he places thepillow that was in his hand onto Sonny desk.
As Jason shuts the penthouse doorbehind him Carly lets out a frustrated scream.

"So what now? Are you going to go back to Port Charles and try again to bring back Carly home?"
"If I go back Sonny will kill me if he sees my face again in Port Charles" Lenny explains with a heavy sigh
"So you're going to stay away, right?"
"I don't know" Lenny remarks truthfullybefore going on to say "If it was anyone else but Carly I would say yes but how can I leave Carly with that monster dad? She and that unborn baby of hers are trapped dad. The cops are useless they won't do a damn thing to save Carly
and her child from being abused by that pig."
"If Sonny Corinthos kills you son and we both know that man is capable of doing it
then how will that save Carly and her child from him?"
"So you think I should just leave it alone? You think that I should just let that
bastard abuse Carly and her unborn child?" Lennyasks
"No son, I think we need to be smart about this and come up with a plan to save
Carly and her baby from Sonny Corinthos before we make another move against
Sonny"
"We?"
"I'm not going to let you fight Sonny Corinthos alone son. We're going to find a way
to save Carly together."
"Mom won't like this" Lenny points out sincehis mother hated Carly.
"Well your mom doesn't have to know about this"
"I won't tell her if you won't" Lenny smilesdespite the pain he was feeling from Jason's beat down
"Alright, great. I have to get to work son but we'll think of something to save Carly" he promises as he stands up from the couch
"Thanks dad" Lenny calls out to his father
"No problem. You know I would do anything for you" he says before walking towards the front door.

"So you're telling me Mike fucking slept with a woman who may be connected to
Sorel!?" Sonny questions annoyed afterJason finished explaining to him about what Benny had discovered about thewoman Mike cheated on Tammy with
"There's a possibility, yeah" Jason nods
"Damn IT!" Sonny yells out frustrated since hedidn't need to deal with this kind of shit right now
"Benny is still digging to figure out if she does or not"
"And we both know what the hell Benny is going to find out! Sorel set this fucking thing up and now he's going to use my baby sister or brother as a way to get to me!" Sonny shouts out
"There's a chance it could be a coincidence that she was stripping at a bar that Sorel
happened to have under his protection"Jason points out
"This is MIKE we're talking about! The guy is a screw up! Of course he slept with a
fucking person working for Sorel! He's an easy target! Sorel knows it and he's using Mike to his full advantage to get to me! Just like he tried to do with Lenny Roberts" Sonny rants out
"So what do you want to do?" Jason asks
"I'm going to go meet this bitch that got herself pregnant by Mike!" Sonny huffs out before storming out ofJason's penthouse

As Sonny storms into the penthouseCarly gives him a lethal glare as she states "I hope whatever Jason said was worth losing any chance you had of ever being with me again"
"I don't have time to fight with you Carly" Sonnystates as he grabs the folder he left open on his desk and places it backinside its proper drawer… "I have to leave for a little while."
"I thought you said you were staying home because you wanted to make sure the baby
and I are alright?" Carly questions backas Jason walks into the penthouse
"Are you alright?" Sonny inquires
"Other than the fact I almost lost my mind by almost having sex with you, yes I'm fine"
"Then I can leave but don't worry Jason will stay here until I get back to make sure
you're alright" Sonny remarks
"I will?" Jason questions back since hedidn't really want to have to deal with a pissed off Carly. He was good at handling mob related problemsbut what he wasn't good at was dealing with an angry pregnant woman.
"I don't need a babysitter Sonny"
"Of course you will Jason" Sonny spats outannoyed as he glares at Jason for questioning his orders
"Sonny I have things to take care of" Jasonremarks since he had to deal with the fact Sorel had tried to use Lenny Robertsas a way to get to Carly.
"Which can wait since nothing is more important than my family" Sonny points out "Besides it will give you the chance to get to know each other"
"Sure Sonny" Jason sighs out heavily
"I don't want to get to know him!" Carlycalls out to Sonny
"Make sure she behaves herself while I'm gone" Sonnygoes on to order out before walking out of the penthouse.
As Jason shuts the penthouse doorCarly asks "Is that what you're going to do Jason? Are you going to make sure I don't misbehave?"
"Yeah" Jason simply says with a heavy sigh;hating that he was on Carly duty when he should be out making Sorel pay

Grabbing a picture frame that was onhis coffee table of him and Carly, Lenny lets out a sigh as he whispers out "I know you didn't mean what you said Carly. I know that you're scared right now and that you believe there is no hope for you to get out of this situation but I promise you Carly I'm not going to give up until I find a way to free you from that
sick bastard. Sonny may be a smug bastard right now but with my dad's help I will find a way to get you out of this mess" As tears rolled down his cheeks from the pain he was feeling thanks toJason Morgan's handy work Lenny goes on to say "One day Carly you'll be smiling again. Just like in this picture you will have joy in your life again because I'm not going to give up until you're back home again"

After getting Millie Mills addressfrom Benny who suggested to him to wait before he confronted that bitch forusing his father to get to him on Sorel's orders Sonny of course ignoredBenny's advice and drove to the rundown apartment Millie Mills lived in across
town from his place. It was one of the worst parts of town in Port Charles.Somewhere he would never want or allow Carly or his unborn to ever go. It wasthe tiny part of town where Sorel ruled which meant the streets were crawlingwith drug dealers.
After parking his car in front ofMillie's building Sonny opens the glove department of his jag and pulls out hisgun. Getting out of the car Sonny tucks his gun in the waistband of his pants;knowing just being in this part of town was a risk to his safety.
Walking down the small distance fromhis car to Millie's apartment building Sonny angrily notices needles that wereleft behind from druggies on the side of the street.
With a heavy sigh he opens theapartment door and shakes his head since clearly this place wasn't safe to livein when anyone could just walk in or out of the building.
Making his way down the brick hallwaythat was cover in graffiti Sonny could hear people yelling at each other fromother apartments as baby's cries in the background.
Arriving in front of Millie's apartment door, Sonny exhales sharply before reaching out to ring the doorbell.After waiting a few seconds the door finally starts to open…
"Michael?!" Mike calls out his name shocked to see hisson standing before him
