"Sonny I'm coming with you!" Carly remarks as he neatly places hisclothes into a suitcase which irritated the hell out of her since he always hadto be so damn neat all the time even when he was dealing with a crisis.
"Oh no you're not!" Sonny states firmly as he makes his way towards his dresser to grab hisgun since the last place he wanted Carly to be is in danger which Florida nowwas for her or anyone connected to him.
"Jason is hurt! I have a right to see him. He's my friend too you know"
"It's too dangerous! Jason was shot and I'm not going to risk having you getting crossed in the cross fires of my business so you're staying home where it's safe and I don't want to hear any more arguments!"
"I'm supposed to go down to Florida anyways to go to the trial remember?" Carlypoints out
With a heavy sigh Sonny states "I'm sorry but I can't allow you to go now that Jason's been shot. It's just too dangerous for you and the baby right now"
"Sonny I have to be there and you promised me I could go!"
Making his way over towards her as he tucks his gun intohis pants Sonny promises "If the judge lets him go I will dish out my own justice towards the bastard, but you're staying home where it's safe."
"Sonny you can put as many guards as you want on me. I promise I won't ditch them. I have to be there! This is important to me."
"No what's important is for you and the baby to stay safe. Now how about you take a nice hot bath and relax" Sonny suggests since he hated how worked upCarly was getting over the situation because of Benny's big fat mouth! Bennyshould have known better then to run his mouth off when Carly was besidehim.
"Jason's been shot and the bastard who killed my friend might get set free so don't tell me to relax!" Carly states stubbornly
Shaking his head Sonny walks towards his suitcase as hetells her "Try not to worry while I'm gone and listen to Max. I know you're upset because he blabbed but he was doing his job and I need you to listen to him so I can have a piece of mind that you and the baby will be safe while I'm gone. If you won't be good for my sake I'm asking you to do it for the sake of our child Carly"
"Fine" Carlybreathes out heavily as Sonny zips up his suitcase since it was pretty damnobvious that Sonny wasn't going to let her go so she didn't want to tip him offof her plans to leave Port Charles without him.
"You mean that?" Sonny asks softly since he was kind of stunned that Carly alreadydropped the subject but pleased that maybe for once Carly was actually going tolisten to reason for their child's sake.
"It's not like I have much of a choice now do I?" Carly points out before headingtowards his washroom door.
As Carly opens his bathroom door Sonny asks "What are you doing?"
"I'm taking your suggestion I'm going to take a nice long bath and relax" Carlycomments before walking into the washroom and slamming the door shut behindher.
"What no kiss goodbye for the father of your child?" Sonny calls out to the closeddoor before letting out a heavy sigh as he silently prays that Carly kept herword and would be good while he's gone to Florida.

Walking out of the washroom Carly sighs out heavily asshe glances into the empty room. A part of her had hoped Sonny would havechanged his mind and asked her to come along with him but since he didn't she
knew she had to come up with her own way to get out of Port Charles and back toFlorida.
As her cellphone starts to ring Carly walks over towards thewashroom counter where she left it by the sink and picks up her phone. Lookingdown at the caller ID Carly fights back the tears as she sees its Lenny fromthe caller ID….
"Hello?"

"Thanks for allowing me to come along boss" Johnny remarks as Sonny's private jet takesoff into the air.
"You better not make me regret it Johnny" Sonny warns since he needed Johnny on his Agame so they could take back control of Florida.
"Yes sir" Johnnynods as he silently prays nothing goes wrong on his watch since the boss hadyet to forgive him for his errors concerning Carly.
A part of him was kind of happy that he wasn't in PortCharles with the other men because he had a feeling Carly Benson was going tocause problems for the men on duty since the boss stated that Carly was upsetover the fact she couldn't come down to Florida with him.
After the trouble he got with the boss over Carly he wasstarting to think facing men with guns was a lot better than staying at homeprotecting the boss's pregnant fiancé.

"Don't worry Lenny there is nothing or anyone that is going to stop me from being in that courtroom." Carly vows as she silently wonders how in the world she was going topull this off. She didn't have a plan yet but she was going to figure a way toget to that courtroom.

"Have you heard from Carly?" Sonny questions into his cellphone… "No don't disturb her. I just need you to make sure while I'm gone she behaves herself and that she doesn't stuff her face with junk food the whole time I'm gone. I'm counting on you, Rolando and Milo to make sure Carly and the baby stay safe while I'm gone and watch out for any plans she may come up with during my absence…Good I'm glad to hear you have it under control because I won't take kindly to any errors regarding my family" shutting his cellphone Sonny fights back the urge he had to go back toPort Charles because of the gut feeling he was having regarding Carly.
He didn't feel right at all about leaving Carly alonewith his men right now but he had to handle the situation in Florida before itgot worse. All he could do is hope for the best at this point and try his bestto keep his focused on his business instead of Carly since one mistake could bea fatal one.

Opening the penthouse door Carly watches as Max placeshis cellphone into his pocket.
"That was the boss" Max explains
"Let me guess he told you to report my every move and to be on the lookout for plans I might come up with during his absence."
"More or less, yeah" Max nods his head
"Well don't you worry about a thing Max because I attend to be on my best behavior. I wouldn't dream on doing anything to get you into trouble like what happened to Johnny after all you're a good man and guard doing his job"
"So you're no longer mad at me for reporting to the boss about Dan Roberts?" Maxquestions
"That's right" Carly nods before going on to say "Sonny was right you were just doing your job and I shouldn't have been so angry at you for doing what you're paid to do."
"Really?" Maxasks
"Yeah" Carlysmiles brightly at him
"Oh I'm so happy to hear it. I hated it when you were angry at me because the last thing I want to do is disappoint you but I have to stay loyal to the boss"
"We're good Max" Carly states as she puts her hand onto his shoulder before turningaround and shutting the penthouse door behind her
Letting out a sigh of relief Max silently thanks God thatCarly had a change of heart and was no longer angry at him. Now that there waspeace between them he didn't have to worry as much about Carly misbehavingwhile the boss was gone.

Hours later Sonny walks into the room where Jason wasrecovering at a new safe house Sonny had purchase after the shooting he had athis old one by Savage's men. Since his old one was no longer a secret toSavage's old crew he knew that old safe house was no longer good for his needsso he bought another place near the ocean far away from the old one he used toown before he found out Carly was pregnant with his child
"Sorry" Jason groans out as he lies in bed with abullet wound to the chest. He hated to feel this way helpless and powerless tohelp his best friend.
"It's okay, man. I'm just happy you're going to make it" Sonny calls out to him as hemakes his way towards him.
"I managed to kill the bastard after he shot me" Jason explains
"Good"Sonny smiles at him but he kind of wished Jason hadn't only so he could makethe mother fucker suffer for shooting Jason.
"Just give me a few hours and I'll go back out and-"
"Forget it Jason. You're in no shape to be going out there and handling anything. You need to rest for your sake and for Carly's too"
"Carly?" Jasonfrowns since he didn't think Sonny would tell Carly since he knew how much hewas trying to get Carly to avoid stressful situations
"Benny opened his big mouth in front of Carly so she knows you've been shot. I swear I wanted to kill him for opening his mouth in front of her. I don't know what the hell Benny was thinking but thankfully for him nothing happened to the baby because of it"
"Thank God she's okay"
"Yeah"Sonny nods his head. Taking a seat by Jason's bed Sonny goes on to say "She wanted to be here but I told her it was way too dangerous. I also stated her she couldn't go to the trail. I can't risk their safety. Carly was upset with me but what else is new" Sonny sighs outheavily hating that she was at home upset while he was here in Florida a planeride away from her. He just prayed nothing happened to her or the baby while hewas gone.
"You made the right call. Savage's old crew knows how Carly looks like and they know she's your weakness. Word is out that she's carrying your child around town so if they see her they won't hesitate to use her to get to you" Jason declares
"Savage's old crew has gone into hiding. Our guys told me after you were shot they disappeared out of sight." Sonny informs him
"They probably figured out you would come back to town after I got shot"
"Well they won't hide for long because I'm going to locate every last single one of them and blow them to pieces!" Sonny vows; hating himself for not takingcare of this before this situation got to the point where they were now withJason lying with a bullet wound in his chest.

"So she just forgave you?" Milo asks stunned
"Yeah" Maxnods his head
"You don't find that odd?" He questions
"Yeah a little I guess but you know she's pregnant and pregnant women have all sorts of mood swings so maybe she was having a really good mood swing." Max theorizesalthough the more he thought about it the more he felt uneasy about the wholething. But he wasn't about to admit that to his little brother.
As the penthouse door opens both Max and Milo glances towardsCarly with an uneasy look across their faces since they weren't sure what moodCarly would be in.
"Hey guys"Carly grins at them
"Hi"Milo greets her with a smile
"Anything we can do for you?" Max questions
"Actually yes, I'm a little hungry and Sonny wouldn't be happy if he found out I tried to cook in his precious kitchen so I was hoping that one of you could go out and get me something healthy, but not too healthy to eat, alright."
"You want something healthy?" Max questions stunned
"Not really but it's what's good for the baby, right?" Carly comments
"I know the perfect place that sells really good vegan food" Milo suggests
"Vegan?"
"Yeah, it's really tasty" Milo states as he sees the uneasy look across her face.
"Okay I said I wanted something healthy but I also need meat and Vegan's don't eat meat right?" Carly questions
"There's no meat in vegan meals but it's going to be really good and healthy for you and the baby" Milo explains
"I'm going to pass on the vegan meal" Carly states since there was no way inhell she was going to eat a vegan meal
"Okay how about I get you steak with vegetables on the side at the no name?" Max suggests
"That sounds nice, oh and how about a piece of chocolate cake for dessert since I'm being so good for dinner" Carly smiles
"It's not steak night at the No Name Max its fish and chips night and you know the chef at the No Name makes only one meal a night" Milo states
"Shut up, the chef wouldn't dare deny the boss's fiancé a steak" Max utters out
"And chocolate cake" Carly adds in
"Right"Max smiles as Milo lets out a heavy sigh
"Great. Can you go get it now because I'm starving?"
"No problem" Max nods
"Thanks" Carlysmiles as she shuts the penthouse door behind her.
"Okay Milo you heard the lady go get her, her steak"
"Oh noooooooooo you're not"
"What?" Maxquestions
"You're not sending me over to the No Name to ask that crazy chef to change his meal for Carly. No way in hell am I going to deal with that nut job. You told Carly you would get the chef to cook her a steak so you're the one who's going to go and tell that crazy ass bastard he has to cook Carly one or the boss will be mad not me. I voted for the Vegan meal"
Shoving Milo towards the elevator he tells him "Oh don't be such a chicken! Just tell him that's what the boss's fiancé wants and come back quick because you heard her she's hungry."
"No man! You go!"
"I'm not going the boss put me in charge while he was gone regarding Carly and I say you're the one who has to go." Max states as the elevator door dings open.
"I can watch Carly" Milo offers
"No dice" Maxutters out before pushing his brother into the elevator.

"How's Jason?"Johnny questions as the boss shuts the bedroom door closed behind him
"He just needs some rest but he's going to be alright" Sonny comments before asking "Any word yet on Savage's old crew?"
"None yet boss but the guys are working on it" Johnny declares.
"I want them found Johnny! Make sure our guys know that no one sleeps until every last one of those mother fuckers are found! I won't take another hit from them, we're the ones who are going to be giving down the smack down!" Sonny shouts out annoyed thatno one has found Savage's men yet.
"Yes sir" Johnnynods as he pulls out his cellphone to make some calls as the boss walks awayfrom him.

"Hey boss" Maxutters out into his cellphone not at all shocked that the boss was calling thissoon since he could tell he was worried about Carly before he left town.

"How is everything going?" Sonny questionssince he couldn't help but worry about what Carly may be doing while he wasgone.

"Everything is more than fine boss. You really don't have to worry. Carly even asked for a healthy meal that Milo is out getting for her right now. She vetoed the Vegan meal Milo offered to get for her but she agreed to steak and vegetables from the No Name"

Letting out a groan Sonny asks "Carly asked for a healthy meal and you don't find that suspicious at all!?"

"She said she was doing it for the baby" Maxdeclares as he hopes that Carly hadn't duped him.

"Max you idiot! There is noooooooooooooooo way in hell Carly would ask for a fucking healthy meal pregnant or not! Carly's still in the penthouse right?!"

"Well yeah. I've been at my post since you left boss" Max remarks
"Go check!" Sonny orders out since he didn'tlike the bad feeling in his gut about Carly.

"Okay, sure boss" Max utters out as he silentlyprays the boss wasn't right and that Carly was still in the penthouse.
Opening the penthouse door Max mutters out "Damn" as henotices Carly was nowhere in sight.

"Damn it Max! I fucking told you to watch out for her! I told you she was up to no good! What the hell is wrong with you?!"Sonny screams out furious that Max has already let Carly slipped out of sightand he hadn't even been gone twenty-four hours yet
"I'm sorry boss" Max utters out in a panictone of voice as he silently thinks to himself he should have left Milo watchCarly after all

"You're SORRY?! Oh trust me you're going to be REALLY sorry if Carly even gets a scratch on her! Now go find her you idiot!"

Walking down the staircase Carly calls out toMax as his back is to her while he is about to shut the penthouse door… "Hey Max is my steak here?"
"CARLEE!" Max turns around stunned and happy thatCarly was still in the penthouse after all
"Carly? Did you find her?!" Sonny asks into thephone as he hears Max call out her name

"Yeah, uh… she was just upstairs all along boss" Maxexplains with a heavy sigh

"Max you moron! You had me worrying about Carly for nothing!" Sonny shouts out annoyed that he would scare him like that

"I'm sorry boss it's just that when you thought-"Maxtries to explain

"Forget what I thought! Put Carly on the phone now!"Sonny orders out, needing to hear her voice.

"What's going on?" Carly asks as she walkstowards him
"I just thought…never mind. The boss wants to talk to you" Max mutters out as he extends his hand that was holding his cellphonetowards her.
Taking his phone from him Carly asks "Is Jason alright?"

Letting out a sigh of relief as he hears hervoice come onto the line Sonny says "Yeah, Jason's going to be fine. He just needs to rest for few days and he will be as good as new"

"That's good. Glad to hear that he's going to be okay because I was worried about him. Can I speak with him?"
********
"Jason's sleeping right now but I'll have him call you later" Sonny promises.

"Thanks" Carly grins
"So Max tells me you're going to be having steak and vegetables"

"That's right" Carly nods
********
"I'm just a little shocked that you offer to eat something healthy when it's always a battle normally just to get you to eat one bite of something healthy" Sonny notes

"I'm trying to be good for the baby's sake so how about you don't give me grief about it and say thank you Carly for being so good while I'm gone instead of being so suspicious about me all the time. It really hurts my feelings you know that you always assume I'm up to no good"Carly remarks as she starts to fake cry a little to throw Sonny off her track

"Hey don't cry. Look I'm sorry. I don't want you to cry, it's just that the way we left things I was concern you would try and pull one of your plans to get to Florida that's all" Sonny explains hatinghimself for making her cry when she was in a fragile state.

"See that's my point exactly! There you go thinking the worst of me despite the fact you placed
guards all over the place Sonny!" Carlysobs out as Max looks on at the scene which was good for her so it would alsoshow Max she had no plans on leaving Port Charles

"You're right I shouldn't always be thinking the worst of you and I want you to know that I appreciate that you're trying to eat healthy while I'm gone."

"Thanks because this healthy food thing isn't easy for me" Carly states truthfully since just the thought of healthy food made herwant to hurl.
"I know it isn't easy for you but I'm proud that you're doing this for our baby Carly. It means the world to me that you're eating healthy and you're staying safe at home for the baby's sake. I know you really wanted to go to that trial but I promise you Carly if he gets set free he won't be walking the streets for
long. Florida really isn't safe right now and I have peace of mind knowing you're safe at home while I take care of the situation over here"

"Thank you" Carly softly utters out as shestarts to wonders if she should go through with her plan to leave town sinceSonny seemed really worried about her and the baby. As much as she wanted toleave Port Charles she was starting to doubt her plans about leaving. The lastthing she wanted was to endanger their baby. She wanted to make sure thatdrunken bastard spent the rest of his days in jail for killing her best friendbut she also wanted to make sure her baby stayed safe.
As Milo walks in with a bag from the No NameCarly utters out "Milo just got back with my food."

"Alright I'll talk to you later then"

"Okay and Sonny…stay safe" Carly calls out as Milo places her takeout food from the No Name onto
the kitchen table

"I will" he smilesbefore pressing the end button on his cellphone.

Alittle while later Carly sits on her bed as she holds her cellphone in herhands still debating with herself whether or not she should leave Port Charlesor not. With a heavy sigh Carly glances down at her stomach as she whispers out "Okay baby I'm doing this for you and your daddy."
Speeddialing Lenny's number Carly states once she hears him answer his phone "Lenny I'm sorry I can't go"

"But Ma! Mom! Don't hit me!" Max utters out as his mom whacks her big ass purse at him as Milo holdsback his laughter
"You're supposed to be protecting your little brother! You, YOU promised me you would look
out for him if he came to work with you for Mr. Corinthos"
"And I have! Ouch! Come on Ma stop that! It hurts!" Max utters out in between whacks of her
purse.
"Don't you lie to me boy! My sweet Milo told me you bullied him to see that mean chef and had him ask to change his menu for your boss's fiancé!"
"Ma stop hitting me!" Maxutters out annoyed that his little brother would rat him out
"Then be a good boy and protect your brother and don't you lie to me ever again!"
"I'm sorry ma"
"That's more like it" Shegrins before looking at Milo "I love you baby"
"Love you too ma" Milosmiles before hugging his mother and Max shoots him a dirty look

Meanwhile in Florida Dan Roberts enters hisson's apartment as he asks "What's so important that I needed to stop everything I was doing and come straight over here?"
"We have a problem" Lenny informs his fatheras he sits on his couch.
"What now?" Dan sighs out heavily
"Carly just told me she won't be coming down to Florida after all" Lenny explains
"What?! Why the hell not?! Oh let me guess Sonny Corinthos has something to do with this!"
"Apparently it's too dangerous for Carly to come down to Florida right now and she needs to do what's right for her baby's sake so she's not coming down. Carly said that she couldn't go into detail but things business wise with Sonny wasn't good here right now for him"
"What a bunch of bullshit! IF that man cared even a little bit for his unborn child and Carly he would send them packing and as far away from him as possible to keep them safe! This is Sonny just being a controlling bastard!" Dan huffs out annoyed that Sonny had ruinedhis plans to set Carly free from him.
"So what do we do now?"
"I don't know but Sonny Corinthos won't win! I'm going to find a way for yours and your sister's sake to set her free from that evil man!" Dan vows since he also cared for Carly since he saw her grow up beforehis eyes and he would be damned if Carly died or got hurt by Sonny Corinthos.

"I can't believe you ratted me out to ma!"Max hisses out
"I didn't! She called me while that crazy nut job chef was having his hissy fit over the fact that he had to make a meal for Carly that wasn't on the menu for the evening." Milo explains "And when ma got all upset that the boss would ask me to deal with that crazy ass chef I explained to her that it wasn't the boss but you that made me go to him and ask him to change his menu. I didn't know ma would show up here to berate you"
"But you enjoyed every second of it, didn't you?!" Max huffs out
"Wouldn't you?" Milo asks back with a grin on hisface knowing that if Max was in his shoes he would have taken joy out of thesituation too
"Shut up!" Max snaps out as he smacks hisbrother behind the head before saying "Good thing the boss wasn't here to find out about this because he would think you're incompetent to call mommy on
me!"
"Oh and I'm sure the boss would have been soooooooo impressed with you crying out to ma to stop hitting you like a little baby" Milo notes
"It was mom! It's not like I could have manhandled her! What the hell was I supposed to do!?" Max huffs out; gratefulthat no one had seen him cowering down to his mother since he would never hearthe end of it from the other guys.
"Whatever" Milo smirks which causes Max to slap him onthe shoulder

Letting out a groan as her cellphone startsto ring Carly places the nail polish bottle on the nightstand beside her beforegrabbing the phone while mumbling out to herself…
"Why do people always call at the wrong damn time…."Hello?" Carly answers her ringing cellphone as shepresses the speaker option since her fingers were still wet from the fresh rednail polish she just put on.

"Carly, I'm so happy this is the right number. When I saw it on Lenny's phone I had to try it" Dan remarks in a panic state ofvoice
"Dan look if you're calling about the trial I'm sorry but I already explain to Lenny how I couldn't go. Sonny's business is taking a hit right now and I have to stay safe for my baby's sake. I'm truly sorry that I can't go" Carly remarks with a heavy sigh, hating thatshe couldn't be there for Lenny and Dan as they were there for her in the pastbefore she met Sonny.
"I'm not calling you about that actually. I wasn't aware you couldn't go" Dan lies and Lenny looks on with an uneasylook across his face.
"Then I don't understand. What's going on"Carly asks worried since she didn't like Dan's tone of voice

"Lenny is in the hospital. He was hit by a car and I don't know if he's going to make it. He asked for you before he passed out. I understand if you can't come down because of the danger but I would hate for his last wish to see you doesn't come true especially if he doesn't make it"Dan declares as Lenny starts to pace the room

"I'll be there" Carly promises as tears streamdown her cheeks knowing that despite the risk she couldn't stay in Port Charlesespecially if Lenny might be dying.
