Here is another chapter! So soon? Yes, lovelies. I hope you all enjoy it and I hope that I'm doing a good job inserting Lova into the lives of the Golden Trio. Please let know what you think!
Lova had gone looking for Harry; worried about the trouble he was going to get into for fighting with Malfoy on the field. She knew that he had gone to McGonagall's office but she was afraid that she had missed him leaving. After pacing back and forth in front of her office for about five minutes, Lova was about to give up when she heard Harry. Coming to abrupt stop, Lova immediately knew it was bad by the look on his face.
"Go on ahead, George. I'll catch up." Harry told George before turning his full attention to Lova. "What are you doing here?"
Lova pulled on Harry's hand, finding a more quiet spot in the hallway so the two were not overheard or caught just in case. "I was worried about you. What happened?"
Harry sighed, running a hand through his hair before answering. "We've been banned. For life, thanks to Umbridge."
Lova's eyes were wide and full of disbelief. "You've got to be kidding!"
Harry shook his head somberly. "Not even a little."
"That's mental!" Lova exclaimed. "There's no way that she could do that. You were provoked and how come Crabbe isn't in there getting banned for hitting you with the Bludger like that! I was so scared that you had gotten seriously hurt."
It was Harry's turn to go wide-eyed now. "Really?"
Lova bit her lip and looked down at this point. "Well, yeah. I really care about you, Harry and I'd hate to see you get hurt. Had there not have been any teachers around, I would've hexed that Crabbe into oblivion for playing dirty like that."
Harry smiled at this. "You really care about me that much, huh?"
"Well, yeah." Lova said, her face turning slightly pink.
"Good." Harry stated. "I really care about you, as well."
Lova's eyes shot up from the spot on the floor she was previously fixated on to Harry's emerald green ones. "Really?" Harry nodded, eyes still locked with Lova's. "I'm kind of shocked to hear that. I know that I haven't been part of your little group for long but you have become one of my best friends and I don't know what I'd do without you."
Harry took a deep breath before just going for it. Without a second though, he pulled Lova close to him, capturing her lips with his. Lova was frozen, not expecting that at all, causing Harry to pull away.
Harry thought that since Lova didn't respond, she must've not felt the same way he did. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have—"
"Oh, shut up, Potter." Lova smiled before grabbing the back of Harry's neck to press her lips to his.
Lova's other hand went to meet the one that was on Harry's neck as he rested his hands on Lova's hips, pushing her back against the wall that was behind them. Their bodies were flush, chests heaving together as they broke the kiss off. Lova leaned her head back against the wall, looking into Harry's eyes again.
"I've been wanting to do that for a while." Harry admitted with a half smile.
"I've been wanting you to do that for a while." Lova smirked as she played with Harry's hair.
"So does that mean you're mine?" Harry asked, hoping that he was going to get the answer he wanted.
Lova nodded, biting her lip again. "I am wearing your name on my back so what does that tell you?"
"It tells me that I have one incredible girlfriend now." Harry nudged Lova's nose with his.
"Girlfriend?" Lova cocked an eyebrow at Harry. "I like the sound of that. Does that mean you are mine?"
"I'd wear your name across my back if you wanted." Harry joked, before kissing Lova again.
Lova smiled when Hermione finished telling her the story. "Thank you."
Hermione was shocked at Lova's statement . "Why are you thanking me?"
"For telling me. I know that this must be hard for you as well. Having to remind me, someone who used to be your best friend, about things I should remember." Lova explained, looking down at the carpet as she spoke.
Hermione had never thought of it like that. She just wanted to help Lova and this was the only way she knew how to. Yes, it was hard having to tell her best friend who she was but it was better than thinking she'd been dead this whole time. Now, now there was hope and Lova was just that.
Lova turned her attention back to her trunk as Hermione was lost in her thoughts, going through the rest of her things. As she dug through the clothes she left behind, something caught her attention.
Carefully, Lova picked up a small red box that had been buried in all of her clothes. Turning to Hermione, Lova set the box in her lap. Hearing Hermione take a deep breath, Lova was suddenly worried about the contents.
"What is it?" Lova asked, a little skeptical about opening it now.
"I thought Harry had kept that." Hermione whispered, mostly to herself.
"Hermione, what is it?" Lova asked again, curiosity starting to eat away at her.
Hermione snapped out of whatever thought she in at the sound of panic in Lova's voice. "Harry got this for you at the end of our sixth year. It was when he decided he was going to look for the Horcruxes. I thought he kept it. I didn't know he put it with your things."
Lova looked at box again, running her fingers over the top of it. Her head was starting to ache but the box looked so familiar to her. Ignoring the pain, Lova tried her hardest to remember what was in the box without opening it.
"Lova?" Hermione questioned, worried that all this was too much for her. "Are you doing okay?"
Lova only nodded, worried that if she spoke, she'd lose her concentration. The pain in her head started to become worse and worse but she kept pushing herself. Closing her eyes, she could almost see the memory. She saw Harry, who looked much younger, speaking to her. She couldn't make out what he was saying but she saw him hand her the box.
"I remember." Lova whispered, feeling her world start to become dark. "I remember, Hermione! I know what it is."
Hermione's eyes became wide as she watched Lova fall over, still clutching the box. "Lova!"
"I remember." Lova breathed out before everything faded away.
"Where the bloody hell is she?" Jayce asked for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
"I don't know, Jayce." Leila sighed, watching him pace back and forth in front of her. "Did you try calling her?"
Jayce stopped his pacing and feigned a look of shock. "No, that thought never crossed my mind. Of course I tried, Leila."
Leila shook her head. "Don't snap at me because you're worried, Jayce. Try again."
Jayce sighed before he pulled out his phone. "Fine but it'll just go to voicemail like every other time."
Leila was quiet as she watched Jayce call Lova's phone but this time, she heard something. Jumping up quickly, Leila made her way into Lova's room only to find her phone vibrating furiously on her dresser. Picking up her phone, she answered.
"She hasn't been answering because she left it here." Leila said into the phone to Jayce.
Hearing the line disconnect, Jayce walked into Lova's room. He looked like he was about to explode. Seeing this, Leila went over and put her hand on his shoulder.
"Jayce, I'm sure she's okay. Stop worrying so much." Leila said, trying to reassure Jayce.
"What if something happens? What if she pushes herself too far?" Jayce pointed out, thinking about Lova being unconscious somewhere.
Leila was about to say something when something sitting on Lova's desk caught her attention. Walking over to the desk, Leila grabbed what looked to be a letter and quickly read the contents.
"What is it?" Jayce asked, trying to see what Leila was reading.
"I know where she went. Come on." Leila replied, heading towards the door with Jayce following close behind her.
"Harry, you need to stop worrying." Ron said as he watched Harry pace around his kitchen.
Hermione and Lova still weren't back and Hermione had told Harry that she would call when they left Lova's parents' house. After they got done with work and heard nothing, Ron told Harry that he could come over and wait
"They should be back by now though!" Harry insisted, coming to a stop only to sit on their couch, running a hand through his hair.
Ron sighed and then joined Harry on the couch, resting his hand on Harry's shoulder. "Just wait a little longer and if we don't hear anything, we'll call Hermione."
Harry's head snapped up. "Her phone! I forgot about the phones!"
Ron shook his head, laughing a little. "Of course you did. When it comes to Lova, you can never seem to think straight."
Harry paused mid motion, looking at Ron. "I do not. I did not." Harry was slightly offended by this. He always thought things through; even if his plans didn't go the way he wanted.
"Bollocks." Ron exclaimed, happy that he was distracting Harry from all his worrying. "Anytime something involving Lova would happen, it's like you forgot how to think altogether! Even before you two started dating."
Harry opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. Could he really argue with this? Before Harry could come up with a rebuttal, there was a knock at Ron's door.
With an odd look upon his face, Ron went over and answered the door only to find the last two people he expected on the other side.
"Leila, Jayce? What are you two doing here?" Ron asked, hoping that he got their names right.
"We're looking for Lova. Is she here?" Leila was looking between Ron and Harry, waiting for an answer.
"You'd better call now, mate." Ron said, giving Harry a grim look.
With a nod, Harry proceeded to call Hermione as he, for the second time that day, waiting impatiently for Hermione to pick up the phone.
