Zelda didn't know what the hell was going on.
At one point all she knew was they had to get to Jie Ting, and managed to arrive there, telling Cao Cao they as well as Sun Jian, were here to help.
Then before she knew it all hell broke loose.
As if on cue with their arrival, the forces of the Han, Shadowlaw, Dong Zhuo and Liu Biao all moved in on Jie Ting to wipe them out.
Just as Cao Cao, Sun Jian's and the Hero Base faction rallied up to take defensive action, things went from bad to just complete crazy.
In the southern paths to Jie Ting, Yuan Shao, Dong Zhuo and Master Xehanorts forces had moved in the city, but as Hua Xiong, a handful of keybladers and some of heroes went out to try and stop them, Yan Liang and Wen Chou had turned against Yuan Shao, proclaiming their loyalty to him remained intact, but they could not go against those he was suppose to be supporting all along.
This in turn, overheard on the com-links, made Yuan Shao openly declare rebellion against the Han and to stand with the Hero Base Faction, essentially taking a third of the attacking army with him, and having him focus on the army of Dong Zhuo, who just raged out over what was going on.
Xehanort wanted to focus on getting into Jie Ting, knowing that by doing so, he could break this sudden change by way of demoralizing the enemy…but then they came.
Ten of thousands upon thousands of men and woman in no more then light clothing, tatted slightly, carrying simple spears, swords, bows and axes, as a thunderstorm slowly formed above the armies.
What was noticeable about these seemingly peasant-like folk, was that all of them wore yellow cloth tied around their foreheads, and their seemingly lack of care for their very lives as they rushed men heavily armed and using rifles to shoot them from afar.
It took the Keyblade user a while before he noticed the leader of these people, and figured out who they were, as Zhang Jiao rode down on a white steed, waving as staff. Screaming "FORWARD MY BROTHERS AND CHILDREN! THE GODS HAVE SHOWN THE TIME TO ACT AND BRING LIGHT TO THIS WORLD HAS COME! THIS IS WHERE THE YELLOW TURBANS WILL SAVE THE LAND!"
Before Xehanort knew it, mighty bolts of lightning surged down from the sky, striking at his and Dong Zhuo's men. But unlike Dong Zhuo who was just losing control of everything in his fit of rage, Xehanort knew a calm approach to the matter, telling his forces to hold their ground and focus on eliminating Yuan Shao as well as those protecting Jie Ting.
In the north, Cao Cao had led his men, with Sun Jian besides him as well as the remaining members of the Hero Base Faction to meet Kel'Thurzard, Keaton, He Jin and Empress He all head on, on hearing the news that Yuan Shao had defected and Zhang Jiao arriving to aid, he knew he had to ride this sudden wave of motivation.
He Jin already had a feeling something like this would happen. Cao Cao had this sort of luck of things turning in his favor one way or the another, so he sent out the signal for Liu Biao to join in on the fray, bringing his army into the mix.
…except someone got to Liu Biao first, and his army had been scattered entirely the moment his body, now segmented into four pieces, hit the ground.
To Keaton's understandable terror, He saw General Grievous rushing into the fray, along with the members of Unit 666, from the direction Liu Biao's forces were meant to be. Instead Liu Bei's army came from that direction, headed right into the Han ranks.
It seems whereas Xehanort expected Grievous to turn on Keaton, he didn't suspect the cyborg would side with Liu Bei and the others in his anger against Keaton, calling a temporary alliance to those of the Hero Base Faction allies, as he knew they would give him the best chance to get revenge.
Keaton knew he had to act, and tried to call Dr Cortex to ready the ships to bombard Grievous regardless of where he was. But the reply he got was that the good doctor wanted out of this now and had decided to hide within Jie Ting, reminding Keaton that the Gardner vessel and those with it were under Grievous' control in reality, and if Grievous was against them...
Keaton's forces broke. GF troopers quickly started to defect to Grievous on noticing him attacking them and the Han forces, whilst others tried to run away from it all.
The Han's army and Shadowlaw were now divided between Grievous and Liu Bei one direction, and Cao Cao and Sun Jian in another.
And now in the midst of all this, Zelda held her rapier, watching the battle all around her. Charlie using a Sonic Boom and hack down a dozen men at once, Sonic bouncing off several soldier's heads with such a force behind his homing attack he was shattering their helmets. Jak and Pang Tong were teaming up, with Jak blasting down Han soldiers with his gun, whilst Pang Tong had his back, using his staff to unleash large gusts of wind, sending people flying.
She then noticed Mr T close by, taking out scores of the enemy without much effort on his part, striking them with simple kicks or punches in the face, causing them to erupt in a wave of blood and guts.
"ARCHERS! TAKE THEM DOWN!" Someone yelled within the Han ranks, and indeed a wave of archers formed up and took aim, preparing to unleash a volley of their arrows over at where Mr T, Zelda and several others stood.
Just they hadn't met a flying transformer before, nor the energy weapons and missile payload it carried as Starscream rained down on them. "Pathetic fools! You don't stand a chance!"
"Regroup! Regroup away from the—" it was the same person who called for the archers, but his words were cut off by him screaming as a purple energy shot struck his position, causing an explosion large enough to wipe him and many more around him, out of existence, as Megatron stood in the distance, with his arm cannon smoking, clearly enjoying himself picking off small flesh annoyances such as these as he fired again and again.
But then something worrying caught Zelda's eye. She looked into the mangled crowd of people fighting…and in the midst of them, she saw Diamas slowly approaching, and knew better to remain where she was. She turned and ran back towards Jie Ting, something that was noticed by Xiahou Yuan. "Hey Princess! Hold up!" following her in the process.
Mr T meanwhile, continued his rampage, neither Han, Shadowlaw nor GF trooper were stopping him as he tore through them like paperwork. "Get lost! I ain't got time for any of you!"
He soon spotted what Zelda saw, smirking a little. "So that's gotta be that Diamas fool everyone's been murmuring about, looks like Link alright. Better go take him down!" And charged, with anyone that even tried to stop him being smashed aside.
No matter who, no matter who big or mighty they were, they toppled under his intention, seeing the Hyrulian in black, who was now running himself not even look his way as he got closer and closer, and as soon as he was in striking range, he swung his fist back, brought it forward…
And was grabbed by the fingerless gloved hand of Kel'Thurzard, who he failed to notice, had spotted his approach towards Diamas and cut it just short.
Mr T pulled his fist away, glaring at the man before him. "MOVE FOOL!"
With that he tried to use the Hyakuretsu Ken, calling it out as he did. It was more commonly known as the 'hundred crack fist', a move Kel'Thurzard was going to receive, but to T's surprise, he felt each strike either be knocked aside or easily stopped by Kel's hands without the man even moving the rest of his body, smirking at Mr T as he did so.
Mr T soon finished the move, knowing he didn't hit any of his marks. "W-what in the goddamn…" He then tried another move called Renkan Kumite, trying to spin round and use his leg to strike Kel, but goddamn the man easily stopped it, Then T tried using Soryu Ha, which was sending both fists forward using all his might to strike his opponent, but the Shadowlaw leader decided now to use his own powers. "Matoki no Aura!"
A large wave of blood red energy emitted from Kel'Thurzard which made Mr T get blown back slightly from it. It wasn't damaging nor painful, but it marked something Mr T knew and never thought he would encounter in his lifetime, as he stared in shock and horror. "T-that demonic aura…! That's the sign of Hokuto Ryuken! But that style…!"
"Hm. Do you honestly think you're the first Hokuto Shinken master I've had the pleasure of seeing? Tell me Mr Tureaud, did your master Bruce Lee ever recover from the time I struck him down?"
"…You!"
Kel'Thurzard couldn't stop smiling, as he got ready to fight, the demonic aura still flowing around him. "I know you have a student around here. I hope he's ready to replace you."
Zelda managed to reach the gate of Jie Ting, and at the opening she stopped to catch her breath. She had to admit, she wasn't entirely ready yet to face what she has to face. She was afraid of the outcome. "Oh goddesses of the Triforce, I need to be ready, please, grant me more time…"
"Hey Zelda! Wait up!"
She turned to look, finding a rather exhausted Xiahou Yuan, who had been following on foot coming to a stop near her, leaning forward a little, hands on his legs. "S-Seriously, what's with the sudden running?
"Xiahou Yuan, why did you follow me?"
"Well I just didn't want to leave you alone should the bastards we're dealing with try to ambush you or something! Especially if Diamas pops up! I mean hell he came for Link so he could come after you!"
"…He will Xiahou Yuan. He will come. I'm just not ready yet."
"Ready for what Princess?" Xiahou Yuan asked.
"…For accepting my death."
"Wait what?"
"Fat man, get out of way."
Xiahou Yuan quickly turned away from Zelda, pulling out the hero bow and aiming three arrows at once towards that speaker.
Diamas was a few feet away, his master sword in hand, glaring at Xiahou Yuan. "I said stand aside, if you wish to live long enough to witness my rebirth as Unicron."
Yuan didn't back down, glaring angrily at Diamas. "No way. You and I have a score to settle. I've got an arrow with your name on it for what you did to Link!"
Xiahou Yuan then fired the arrows, all three parried away by Diamas who then jumped over the next wave of arrows, then sidestepped another lot as he got closer and closer with each avoidance of the arrows Xiahou Yuan was sending, making use of the durability and flexibility of the bow to try and get a hit.
Soon Diamas was upon him, swinging the Master Sword, only to find Xiahou Yuans battering rod clashing with it, as the man managed to place the bow on his back fast enough. He then swung it at Diamas' head, actually connecting and knocking the Hyrulian aside and to the ground.
"Ugh, a multi-weapon user…" Diamas realized his mistake for thinking Xiahou Yuan was just an archer as he began to get himself up off the muddy ground. He heard the yell of Xiahou Yuan as the man ran towards him and took another swing causing Diamas to roll out of the way, then block the rod with his sword as Yuan swung it downwards.
Diamas forced himself up on his feet, pushing back on the rod as he did, then used his free hand to punch Xiahou Yuan in the face, making the Wei general step back and have to avoid the master sword as it just barely missed his right side. He swung the battering rod to try and wind Diamas, and the Hyrulian knocked it away and swung his weapon sideways, stabbing into the armor plating of Xiahou Yuan's left side, causing the rounded man to yell out in pain, before Diamas swung the master sword across Xiahous stomach area, dicing the armor open and cutting the flesh, making Xiahou Yuan fall to one knee for a moment.
Diamas was about to move in, but had to keep back for a moment after just avoiding the battering rod going across his face, stopping it with his sword. "Face it, you can't defeat me."
Xiahou Yuan held the rod with both hands, as he forced himself back up, chuckling a little, and still ready to go despite the blood leaking out from his damaged armor. "Gonna take a little more than this to put me down! Come on!"
Diamas accepted the call to continue fighting, and was ready to deflect the rod away and strike again, but Xiahou Yuan seemed to guess what was coming, as he intentionally let go of the weapon, allowing the rod to fall to the ground, causing Diamas to unbalance as he was leaning his weight against it with his sword.
At that moment, Xiahou Yuan got the bow out, and smacked Diamas across the face with it, scratching him, then thrusting it into his gut, making the Hyrulian bend over in surprise, before kneeing him in the head, knocking Diamas back.
Diamas got himself to focus, expecting arrows to come, but as he got ready Xiahou Yuan had grabbed the rod off the ground and struck Diamas right in his arm, causing him a fair amount of pain, and made him more pissed off. He quickly retaliated, hacking the master sword into Xiahou Yuan's shoulder, making him drop the rod again as he tried to pull the sword out with his weaker arm.
"I admit, I haven't met someone who can change his fighting style on the fly like this in a long while…" Diamas said as he pushed the sword down, deeper into the shoulder and making Xiahou Yuan go down on his knees. "But I'm done with you. Die!" He pulled the sword back, and aimed to decapitate the Wei general.
Only for someone to get his swinging arm's shoulder with an arrow, making him stumble back and grab the arrow's shaft to try and pull it out.
Standing between him and Zelda now, as Xiahou Yuan glanced over to look along with Diamas, was Sun Shang Xiang, readying her bow. "Sorry Diamas, but I could see your little tussle with Xiahou Yuan here and I couldn't resist joining in!"
Diamas snarled, yanking the arrow out with the tip still on it covered in blood, before tossing it to the ground and getting his sword ready…when a flying bike shaped object rammed into him, sending him flying in the air before sprawling across the ground as the bike shaped object flew upwards nearby, and in a flash of light, down came Terra with his Keyblade at the ready, landing perfectly on his feet. "Something told me you were trouble the moment I saw you chasing after that woman from the battlefield."
Sun Shang Xiang rushed over to Xiahou Yuan in the meantime, helping him up. "You uh, look terrible. Everything okay?"
"Ah, you know me…a few days under medical care will fix this later, so long as I don't bleed out."
Diamas was now really getting pissed off, getting up to face these two new opponents as well as the Wei general. "I, will not, be denied, the triforce!" and charged towards all of them.
Between the light emanating from the scythe, and Zaszs' claws producing an luminous white liquid that covered them, there was no other light source in the damaged metal tunnel they were walking down together.
"So you're a partial Navi?" Darkmegas voice was heard.
"Pretty much. Wily changed me…some years back. He wanted a Navi that was more then 1% human, unlike Hu-Navis. So I, kinda volunteered for the task, more out of because I felt life was worthless at that point, and we managed to achieve a 50% human Navi without my body going into critical shock. Best of both worlds apparently."
"How did you achieve that?"
"Well I recall gramps saying about the dematerialization they already use to inject human DNA and human memories into Navis prior to creation as a sort of unique program. Problem was they couldn't do it to me because, well, I'm already alive and my body might bleed out if they try…so my Net Navi Burnerman came into the idea, and so did Cross Fusion. We fused, rendered out for the count, and when I woke, I found my organs and a majority of my skin, bone and tissues were data fragments floating around me, yet I could scream."
Darkmega looked horrified. "Oh god…"
"It only lasted a moment, then all the data flowed onto me, and I took my normal appearance besides my eyes and could now pull a few of my Navi's tricks. Don't need a crest like Navis, and I could age at a normal rate…Then Wily used the Dark Soul on me."
"And then Richard came about and the rest is history?"
"I got tossed into a space station on the edge of GF territory, and left to rot with, not much for company unless you count programs. I learnt things every day, lived the life I could, hating myself, my gramps and especially my Dark self…then along came an ancient vampire with a grudge who had been brought there by a guy named Gaster as they wanted information. In exchange for my help they reactivated a pathway from the station to the galactic network, I jumped on it, found out where my dark self was and then your pal here screwed up my ambush. Our mutual friend in the PET helped me recover."
All Chad was doing as Dr Rich motioned at him, was look at the PET screen whilst they walked, staring at the resting body of Roll. "…I should've been careful. I should've not believed Richard, especially when his being controlled by that Dark One."
Dr Rich was now focused on him. "You believed him? About what?"
"Him joining us."
Darkmega rolled his eyes. "Well finally you're on the same wavelength as me."
"Not with that fragment of a dark soul inside he isn't." Zasz looked over to Chad herself. "You can feel it now can't you. That evil within which you were blinded to at one point."
"…How can you even…" Chad started with.
"I can smell him on you. He left his mark in you."
"So he…never fixed me." Chad looked at his own hand. It dawned on him, and with that, he could feel it now as he became aware. "Then my feelings…"
"He probably controlled you at some point. Sway you into agreeing with him." Zasz guessed. "Being a Zerg has its perks. Combined with a dark soul, we're dangerous."
"Which you partly are too, aren't you?" Darkmega looked to the Overmind.
Zasz nodded. "My, DNA, from him consists of that and Zerg mostly. Much less on the human side unlike the rest of the clones."
"Can you, fix me?" Chad wondered.
"…" Zasz focused ahead. "I can't extract it. More precise I don't want to as it might take me over. The best thing for you to do is it properly sorted out under the knife, or perhaps…use that Soul of yours."
"The Life Soul?"
"Mm-hm. It was damaging to my father within Unicron, especially to the fact he was a dark soul. The Death Soul was just as damaging though, with Darkmega able to use it, I doubt it'll do the same job."
"But, last time I used the Life Soul it badly damaged me." Chad put the PET away after turning off the screen for now.
"Perhaps a merge of you two might be in order."
Chad looked to Darkmega, who looked at him. Chad felt that feeling of disdain come back and looked away, but, wondered now if that was really him, or something making him hate Darkmega…he recalled when he had to go to Unicron, the feelings this soul tried to force on him to make him not go. "Maybe…it's not a bad idea."
Dr Rich looked at them both. "So uh, what's the Life Soul and Death Soul all about? Gonna have to fill me in a little here guys."
Chad and Darkmega did so, whilst the tunnel felt like it was heading uphill slowly but surely. They told him of what Darkmega did, the two years Chad missed, his return, defeating Darkmega, his return, how they got the souls and their battle with Unicron.
By the time they explained it, Dr Rich had to stop them after they had entered a small clearing in a cavern, which had several paths going off it. He needed a quick rest, and sat down, with the others nearby. "So you guys fought, made up, used your powers combined to kick my dark self's ass as well as Unicron, then as I'm guessing with the way Chad is, no longer like eachother?"
Darkmega nodded a little. "Well, Chad hates me now for some goddamn reason. Despite all I did!"
Chad wanted to argue, but again, questioned himself if it was really him that hated Darkmega. He did wonder if there was a reason anymore.
"…I'm guessing his lack of response means there is no reason." Dr Rich concluded. "He looks uncomfortable."
"Cold floor." Chad quickly answered.
"Don't lie." Zasz focused on the mobian lad. "You just can't accept the lack of a reason."
Chad felt it again, that disdain coming back…but he knows there were signs something was off, signs he wanted, or was forced, to ignore.
"Chad. You can't mean that. I saved Anna, I saved you, I fought with you against him, against Unicron! I placed my life on the line to help you! I've earned my spot here, he hasn't!"
"Shademan just barely accepts him, and Roll, she used to be one of his more actual friends, now she's just keeping some distance from him. If they can't trust him, something isn't right, you see where I'm coming from Chad?"
"Well you do seem to be quickly growing into good friends, for all the crap his put us through before you returned and his siding with Unicron..."
"I want to believe that. I really do Chad. But we know Unicron isn't gone. His alive, and Richard could easily still be following him. Until Unicron is dead, I can't...feel safe with him."
Those last two recollections seemed to make the PET in his pocket seem heavier now as he gave a sigh, looking down to the floor. "I should've noticed sooner…if I did…Roll…"
"Chad I'm here. I want to work with you." Darkmega leaned over a little towards him. "He doesn't want us working as a team because we're a threat to him."
"Darkmega you have no idea how much I want to tell you to leave me alone right now…I don't think it's possible for us to fuse without me getting angry towards you."
"Why don't you just do it?" Dr Rich said aloud.
"What?"
"Just fuse. Close your eyes and fuse, then use the Life Soul. You both wanna stop the Dark One right? Battle Richard? Unicron? Well that alone should give you a small time in the fusion state before you split apart."
Darkmega stood up. "I'm willing to give it a go."
Chad slowly got himself up. "…I'm not, but I know I have to."
Zasz moved herself away a little and sit opposite of Dr Rich. "This should be good."
Darkmega reached out to Chad. "Okay?"
Chad REALLY didn't want to hold Darkmega's hand, just barely touching it despite his immense need to move away. He just kept reminding himself that this is to defeat the Dark One. "Go-got it."
"CROSS! FUSION!"
Both were covered in a blue orb of light…and once it vanished, there was just one person. Back in mobian form, with purple fur, black gloves and boots, with his eyes closed. "Did it work? Did we fuse?"
"Well I don't have control of anything at the moment so, yeah. Hi." Darkmega was heard in his mind. Good GOD did that make him wanna unfuse at this very second, but he knew he had to use the next step.
"LIFE SOU-SOU-…LIFE…" Chad now found a new problem.
He can't say the two words.
Dr Rich looked baffled. "You okay buddy?"
"I can't say it! I can't say it to trigger it!"
Zasz guessed why. "It's aware that if the Life Soul activates, it'll lose control, possibly entirely. It's forcing you to avoid it's use. You have to make yourself say it. Or at least find a way to trigger it without saying it."
Dr Rich thought about that. "Well if you were a Navi, Darkmega could access your system and make it go, or you could do it yourself, but other than that you'll have to use your voice as-"
Chad blinked.
Dr Rich was suddenly gone.
Chad quickly looked behind him, and Zasz was gone too. "What the!?"
"What in the fuck just happened?" Darkmega called out in Chad's mind.
Run.
Chad looked around, hearing the word from somewhere. "What did you say Darkmega?"
"I said what in the fuck just happened?"
Run.
Run to Unicron. The Darkness will consume you.
Chad felt ill. He couldn't focus on anything now. He needed to go, he needed to move on. He felt something grab him, but he moved himself away from whatever it was, panicking, and started to run, as a haunting laughter began to fill his ears.
"Chad? Chad! What's going on?" Darkmega tried to speak to him, but now it seemed like Chad was flatly ignoring him.
You are mine now.
Darkmega suddenly saw his vison of the world fade to black…
And found himself suddenly in a rusty, eerie looking corridor…there were lights hanging above, swinging back and forth, there was the sound of…something dripping to the floor in the darkness, and the doors appeared to be made of metal, with rusted engraved numbers on them.
"…What in the actual fuck is going on?" He wondered aloud, getting his arm cannon ready.
He journeyed down the corridor, listening out carefully, noticing now the walls had scrap bits of purple wallpaper, the metal ground has loose bits of blue carpet…This felt…old. Like this was a building made centuries ago, but has been abandoned for so long.
Soon though, one door attracted him. The rusted number on it, '3', was glowing a little, it stood out in the dreary place around Darkmega.
He grabbed the door handle, and opened it.
He felt a rush of air, everything becoming blurry…
Before he found himself in the main room of the Earth X base.
It looked like it anyway, the only difference was that the sky above, coming through the few windows here, was a blood red, the light of the blooded sun making the entire place seem to be that colour.
Sitting on one of the chairs, was a black shadowy shape of Roll, just idly sitting there, and as Darkmega was certain, looking his way.
"uhhh, Hi?" Darkmega waved a little at her, being cautious.
"I used to think she was special to me."
Darkmega heard that all around him, quickly aiming his arm cannon, recognizing the voice as Richard. "Where are you!?"
"She and him…they were my first friends."
Slowly, appearing out of nowhere, standing next to the Shadowy figure of Roll, was one of Shademan.
Then, appearing in front of them, was the outline of Richard…minus the claws, seemingly speaking with them, but no sound came out. Roll was now interested in him instead of Darkmega.
"I never knew she was the same person my other self once knew. But she must've known, she felt something within her, telling her she could trust me. Believe in me."
Slowly, more and more shadows appearing, Mr T, Samus, Ridley, Optimus Prime, Xiahou Dun, Cao Cao, Jak, Daxter, Pang Tong…
"Then, one day, him and I finally met."
Darkmega then found himself turning around, and walking into the main room, was the shadowy figure of Chad and Anna, Anna clearly saying something to Chad, who seemed to give off a sigh, before walking away from her, heading towards Richard, past Darkmega, speaking out. "Yo, Rich."
Then in a flash of white, they all vanished around him.
Standing next to Darkmega, which took him a moment to figure out before quickly aiming his arm cannon at him, was Richard, complete with Zerg claws. "…You know it's weird being separated from myself. Being trapped with you and him. Makes me think."
"Is it really you?" Darkmega asked.
"In this world, I guess I am. This could be the form you recognize as a Dark Soul of his. I don't think I have an actual form anymore."
"…So what are you?"
Richard looked at him, but instead of an evil grin like Darkmega expected, he seemed…dead inside. There were no emotions on his face. "I'm the result of him feeding Chad a piece of himself, combined with the sentience of you and Chad being as one."
"…Why are we here?" Darkmega now asked.
"I don't know. These are memories, the few I can salvage from myself, from what he has left me."
With that, everything went blurry again, and Darkmega found himself standing in the corridor again. Shaking his head and blinking. "O-kay…That just happened…"
"We're back here."
"AHH!" Darkmega quickly looked to his right, and there stood Richard. "How did you send us back into this place?!"
"I didn't…but you can feel it, can't you? Something is waiting for us."
Darkmega wasn't really comfortable with Richard now being here, but at the same time, didn't feel threatened by him either.
But he felt the urge to walk down the corridor again, this time going past the door with the rusted '3' on it, which was now dull like the others, with Richard in tow.
Soon there was one with a glowing '8', and the urge to open it lured him to do so. "Welp, ain't got anything to lose at the moment. You coming?"
"I have no choice." As Richard said that, Darkmega opened the door and everything blurred up in his vision as he expected it to.
He and Richard now were within a base room. Darkmega could tell by the plain look of it…it was clearly underground as well. Something told him he was in the Zebes Base. He then noticed the shadowy figure of Richard, with his claws this time.
He decided to step towards him, looking back at the one that was with him. "Well, I guess this when you came back to us for a couple of days huh?"
The response came from all around him again. "I wasn't sure if I could stay with everyone. If I could keep the temptation of evil away like Darkmega managed to. I first I thought love was the key, that Medi's love saved him."
The figure vanished, and then Darkmega saw it at a nearby metal desk, leaning over it with his hands behind his head, as if his was stressed out about something.
"But no matter how much she felt love for me…I felt nothing. I tried to pretend I did, I kept telling Chad I did. Was I too sick? Was I unable to evolve like Darkmega?"
Next, Darkmega saw him laying there on the bed, next to him was a shadowy figure of Roll…both holding hands. "Whoa whoa whoa, when did you two…"
"She kept trying. She wanted this to work. But I was struggling to cope. To ignore the calling. But I did feel something eventually. Something the being within the Dark Wolf could not stop."
"Happiness. I knew I felt joy, pleasure in being with her, but my heart…no. It wasn't there. I thought to myself 'maybe a while more, maybe I can grow. Maybe I can grow.'"
In a flash, they were gone.
Darkmega heard the door of the room open, by itself seemingly, whilst Richard, the one that came with him, had vanished. He remained still for a while, before assuming that maybe he should go out there and check it out.
When he got out of the doorway, he felt he should've stayed away.
There on the ground, opposite him, hunched up and clearly crying, her shadowy outline showing her clothing had been torn and damaged, was Roll.
"…Then he hurt her. Another him, but still, him…It didn't help in my need to turn against him and those here. On this day, I gave up on them. Every time I returned to their side, it was to turn on them."
Roll slowly faded away, and standing besides where she was, arms crossed and leaning on the wall, was the Richard that followed him.
"…Roll was attacked? When?" Darkmega was, stunned, to say the least, he never heard about this.
Richard looked at him. "When we stayed at the hero base on Zebes. When her and I were close. Chad, a parallel Chad, violated her."
"I don't recall that. I'm sure Chad would've known, at least someone would've told me!"
"It was after the death of Diamas. The fall of Unicron in his spiritual form known as Nebula Gray."
"What!? What in the fuck are you talking about!? Diamas is alive!"
"No. Diamas is dead." That was a different voice. Behind Darkmega.
To his shock, there stood Chad, smiling at him. "Hey Darkmega, how goes it?"
"Well finally! What's happened to you Chad? We were fused at one point, couldn't preform the Life Soul and then—wait Diamas is really dead?"
"We fused?" Chad thought about this for a moment. "Huh…I don't recall us doing that lately. Last time we pulled that off was against Unicron. That was a few days back."
"A few…days? Wait, do you mean inside Unicron's body?" Darkmega wondered.
Chad looked baffled. "…You okay Darkmega?"
"Yeah."
"You sure? That happened like…a few months ago now. We've fought him plenty of times since then as a team…granted I had to pull your ass out of the fire and vice versa, but we've still taken him down."
Now Darkmega was completely confused. "What!? Chad we've only done the fusion twice man!"
"…Okay I think something is wrong with your system. We should go and find the docs and get you fixed." Chad suggested.
Everything blurred.
Then Darkmega was back in the corridor. Looking to his left, now stood Chad, who seemed confused, and to his right was Richard, still with his arms folded, standing there.
"Okay now what in the hell is going on?" Chad asked them.
"We're back here again." Richard replied.
Darkmega felt it, that urge to walk again. He did so, praying to Blind Lo he'd get some answers soon.
It was further once again, now the number '11' room had that glow to it. Checking Chad and Richard were with him, he opened the door.
…It was a base, that much Darkmega could guess. It was a main room of some kind, but it had a glass dome ceiling, showing a purple sky, black sun…and thunder echoing across the land. The place was rather neat and clean looking. Several advanced computers in the room, couches for people to relax on, tables for groups to gather and sit around, if it wasn't for the eerie atmosphere, it would be homely.
But Richard just stood there, arms folded still, looking around, whilst Chad looked, worried.
Then, two shadows appeared before them. One of Richard with his claws, and the other was of Richard as well, but without claws, speaking to one another.
"I snuck in one day, to do my normal rounds of trying to think of ways to murdering everyone. I met him. The Hero of a Universe, as he called himself. One of the original three he claimed. He said I and those here could call him a Gamemaster."
"He told me that the soul he carried allowed him to see into past cycles, as he named them. He came to this Universe on a whim, just to see things play out. He knew what was to come thanks to those cycles, and what will be."
The shadow Richard with the claws seemed to be getting pissed off, as he readied himself for a fight, whilst the other figure seemed to be laughing.
"He told me I was a tool. I was following the path that I did before. I could never win the heart of Roll and those around me because I was destined never to do that."
"I claimed I am a defier of destiny…then he asked me 'how many times have you actually won against Chad?'"
The shadows faded.
Darkmega was now completely lost. "…I…Uh…wha?"
Chad soon spoke, looking shocked. "Wait! I just remembered more now! Darkmega, I think we're trapped in a time distortion or something!"
Darkmega looked at him. "Huh?"
The Richard with them shook his head. "Memories, fading memories is all we are seeing. Memories of a dead time."
"If it was dead why am I remembering it clearly now?! Darkmega I think Richard has done something to us!" Chad glared at Richard.
"Chad I still have no idea what's going on anymore!" Darkmega pointed out. "I just, I just don't know man!"
"Focus Darkmega, I'll get us through this! I recall alot now! This is Beyondard, just after the Zoanoroids started their peace talks!"
Whatever Chad was remembering, Darkmega had nothing. "Zoanoroids? Beyondard?"
"Chad? Darkmega? R-Richard?!"
Darkmega looked over to one of the nearby corridors.
There stood Roll…at least, it seemed to be clearly her, except for the fact she now had boobs.
"Roll!? What're you doing here?!" Chad quickly went over to her.
"I don't know! I just…woke up here!"
The Dark Navi was sure he was losing his mind now. "When did you get a chest upgrade?! Have I been sleeping or something!? Are you still with Richard!?"
Roll was horrified at that idea. "No! Darkmega, I'm with Chad!"
"WHEN!?" Darkmega yelled now, he felt lost. "What the hell is going on!? Is this a mad trip or what! The last thing I know is that we were on Cybertron, you Roll, you were rendered almost a corpse by Richard, Chad, myself, Dr Rich and this Zerg called Zasz were brought together by a guy named Nameless and were off to battle Unicron, you—" pointing at Richard "—Diamas and Chaos!"
"…Nameless? I've don't recall anyone called Nameless, nor did we ever meet Zasz and Dr Rich on Cybertron." Chad explained. "Darkmega, It sounds like Richard's been placing false memories in your mind or something…gives me more of a reason to kick his ass now."
Darkmega looked to Richard, who just stared at him. "Do you feel lost, Darkmega?"
"Yes I goddamn do right now!"
"Memories are hard to figure out. Sometimes they can be altered, damaged…maybe your damaged Darkmega."
That scared him. Even after everything went blurry and he found himself back in the corridor, with Richard, Roll and Chad all with him now, he was just…he didn't know anymore. He went over to the nearby wall, leaning on it with his arm, trying to piece together what is happening to him. "Where are we? When are we? Have I just forgotten things?!"
"Darkmega, it'll be okay guy. Trust me on this." Chad tried to reassure him.
Darkmega stared over at the mobian…was it really Chad? "I-I just don't know. I just…I just want to know what is going on…I want Medi…I want to go home…" He leaned down the wall onto his knees, then placed his back to it, knees up to his chest, arms over them, looking opposite to where he was. "This isn't right, none of it is right…I'm scared…"
"You have to see the next one now. Come on." Richard told him.
"What is he talking about? Where are we?" Roll certainly seemed to be keeping her distance from Richard.
"I'm not sure entirely Roll. But for now, we have to go along with this." Chad walked over to Darkmega, placing his hand out. "Come on Darkmega. We can do this."
Darkmega looked at the hand, then up at Chad. "…Are you real?"
"As far as I know."
The Dark Navi reached out and took his hand, slowly standing up. "Okay. Let's, continue on."
With that all four went down the corridor, eventually reaching what seemed to be the last room, at the very end of the corridor.
Room '20' slightly glowing like the others before.
He closed his eyes, and opened the door.
They were back in the main room of that…Beyondard base, but everything felt…wrong.
The sky was gone, there was no sun, yet light filled the place, the air felt warm. There were the couches, tables and computers, but they seemed to be…almost flickering in and out of existence.
There were shadows before the four. One was of Richard, being held by one arm by a shadow of Chad, who looked pissed off. Besides them was Anna, a man in a robe carrying a staff, Lu Bu, and a deer with quite large antlers.
"Did I want to die? Did I want him to cast me into oblivion?"
Shadows of Zerg veins seem to go around Anna, before she vanished, and the shadow of Richard spoke to Chad.
"I wanted to know. I wanted to see. I wanted to gamble my soul for this. The first pulled me from the Farplanes, I needed to go further."
Then the shadow of Richard seemed to burn, surrounded by a purple fire as the whole place became distorted now, the floor and walls twisting and breaking apart.
"C-Chad! What's happening!?" Roll held on tightly to her now current lover.
"I'm not sure! Just hang on!"
Then, they were in total blackness. They could see eachother, but there was nothing around them. Darkmega looked to Richard, who started to speak as he walked past Darkmega. "Now we enter Oblivion. The realm of waking up to the truth of it all…"
"The truth?" Chad wondered.
"The Gamemasters…That Richard was not the only one to see me. I never figured it out until I fell."
Then in a flash, they were in a place that Chad seemed to know right away. "This…this is Balamb Garden. The training center."
They were standing in the middle of a dirt track, surrounded by trees, wired fencing and construction materials. Though what got their attention was the shadow of Richard close to the Richard that was with them.
Near them was a shadow of a man with short hair, wearing a shirt and trousers, with a massive sword on his back, arms folded across his chest.
Their Richard spoke again. "He told me about the program named MIDAS…Matter Improvement Decisive Acceleration System. He told me who carried it. He called himself Blue. He told me a man named Q informed him to complete this passing of information."
Roll looked horrified. "Wait…that's how you knew of it?"
Richard looked after at her. "I knew, but I didn't expect you to actually use it."
"The what now?" Darkmega looked over at Roll and Chad, but before they could talk, everything changed again.
Now they were within a massive hall, filled with old ruined computers, the ceiling having been destroyed recently by the looks of it…nearby them on the dusty ground, was a shadow of Roll, covered over and held down by Zerg veins from the looks of it. She seemed to be unconscious.
Close by her, was a shadow of Richard…and a shadow of Chad, seemingly having a civil, calm discussion, with Chad handing over an orb of some kind.
Chad, the one that's been following them, was surprised. "Wait, we're in the ruined labs of Beyondard. This must be before I came and saved Roll."
"Where the fuck is Beyondard?" Darkmega looked at him, still not remembering this place if his supposed to know.
Richard, the one with them, nodded to what Chad said before, stepping over close to the two shadows discussing something. "This is Chad Oswald, the Gamemaster. He gave me a source of power to absorb that would allow me to survive a soul-destroying attack…a Sigil Stone. He was asked to bring it by a being called Molag Bal. To make sure 'everything plays out'. I didn't figure it out then, too focused on Chad and Roll of my world to even acknowledge who he was, but with the previous encounter and Richard the Gamemaster…I was being played all along."
The two shadows faded away. "But I'm here now. Memories that are either going to repeat but in a different manner…or something new…"
Richard slowly turned towards Chad, Roll and Darkmega. There was emotion back on his face…a psychotic grin. "It's time! It's time to become as one!"
"And just like that he turns on us, what a shocker." Chad said in a deadpan tone. "Darkmega, get behind me."
"What?" Darkmega turned to him.
Darkmega didn't trust him. He didn't trust anything that was happening right now. But, compared to Richard, he knew the better choice at this very moment and quickly moved himself behind Chad as he pulled out the Blade of Darkness.
"…Just like old times." Richard spoke, before he dived towards Chad, whilst Chad rushed towards him…
And in a blinding white flash, as Chad swung his sword and Richard reached out to him, everything stopped.
Darkmega was the only one still able to move, as he watched them for a while before figuring out things had stopped. "I…what is going on!?" He turned towards Roll…who had a massive while through her chest, and hit the ground with a sickening thud.
Standing there behind the body, was the Life Soul, looking over at Chad and Richard, before looking to Darkmega, who had his arm cannon ready. "Who in the hell are you supposed to be!?"
She seemed annoyed by him. "Someone who would not normally concern herself with the carrier of my opposite, but you were being absorbed by the dark soul, so whilst it was focused on you, I took the chance to weaken it elsewhere, then noticed you were on the verge of being swallowed up, so I had to come."
"…The dark soul?" Darkmega lowered his arm cannon.
"I could see what it was aiming for here." She walked over to him, looking at Chad and Richard. "That fake of him would've called to you to fuse with him, as he then would ask Roll to as well, to guarantee a victory against 'Richard'. If you did so, you would've been consumed entirely."
"Are you saying this was all…to take me over?"
"It's way of 'rewarding' you." She looked to him once again. "For allowing it to take over Chad."
"Allowing it to-!? I didn't do anything!" Darkmega defended himself. "I just fused with Chad!"
"Precisely. You're a dark soul. Fusing with Chad allowed it access through you to him and everything within him. It was contained, in a manner, when Chad could resist it to some degree, but with you here, it could corrupt everything."
"So…who are you?"
"The Life Soul."
"You're the Life Soul!? Why didn't you activate when we needed you?!"
"Your connection and this dark soul denied me access." She glared at him.
Well, that would explain why she seemed unhappy with him. He couldn't think of anything to say back to that. "So…is this all just, made up?" Darkmega had to ask her whilst looking over at Chad and Richard.
"…I don't know."
"Hm?"
"These places, these shadows, they are memories of someone. But they don't belong here." The Life Soul raised her hand, and fired a white beam towards Chad and Richard. Whilst Chad got hit and seem to suddenly come back to life, yelling out in pain as a hole was in his torso before hitting the floor, Richard seemed to quickly avoid it, leaping to the side and looking over at the Life Soul, hissing a little.
"So, the Life Soul has snuck in…"
"You've failed to notice me for some time. I hope Darkmega has kept you in good company whilst I severed several locations you had a good grip on."
The Richard seemed to start changing, his body turning black and slowly, the ground around him was matching his colour, whilst his eyes were a blood red. The floor being turned was quickly heading towards where Darkmega and the Life Soul was. "Then I'll waste no more time to lure him in. I'll consume both of you now!"
Chad was seen turning into the black state like Richard, sinking into the ground. Darkmega quickly turned to the Life Soul. "Okay what's the plan?"
"I use my power, and we may be able to cast this being somewhere in a more controllable location for now." With that she fired her beam of energy again, seemingly striking the edge of the ground that had been transformed, slowly pushing it back.
"So what do I do?" Darkmega asked, watching as the beam's push back was starting to slow.
"…hm." She soon stopped firing, noticing she was no longer stopping the change. "I have no idea. I planned to just take it out but clearly it's now focused on getting us."
Darkmega aimed his arm cannon and took a few shots at Richard…they were just absorbed into his body. "Alright." He then formed a Dark cannon and fired it…again it was just absorbed. "Okay. PROGRAM ADVANCE!" He raised both his hands upwards, and on their place now, was a dark zeta cannon, which he fired…and still it got absorbed.
By this point he and the Life Soul are starting to back up as the black ground was getting closer. "I believe your powers are feeding it." She suggested to him.
"Well time to just give one more shot. DEATH SOUL!" With that shout, Darkmega was covered in a black aura, pointing his arm cannon. "SUCK IT! DEATH BEAM!" A void of total darkness fired out as a beam from his cannon…and pieced right through Richard, causing him to screech in horror and stumble back a little, the black mass taking over the ground quickly retreating back a fair bit. "Wait it works!?"
The Life Soul seemed just as surprised, but soon joined in, firing her white energy beam again, now passing by the black mass and striking Richard, causing him to yell out again as he fell to one knee, the mass going further and further back towards him.
"Again Darkmega! Fire again!"
He did so. "DEATH BEAM!" the beam struck true, ripping right through Richard as he seemed to start to melt away, as the corruption he was causing to this place was now gone, leaving him on the ground, parts of him dripping onto it.
"Last time! Together!" The Life Soul ordered.
Both unleashed their respective beams at the same time, both hitting Richard as he screamed out, before melting down into a small puddle, and seemingly disappearing.
Darkmega quickly disabling the Death soul. "So…is it dead?"
"Merely displaced. It'll hide itself somewhere to buy time. But compared to before you fused with Chad, it's a lot weaker…and it seems the Death soul has more in common with my power then I thought."
"…Do you think it's as beautiful as you?" Darkmega wondered.
"I don't know, and I do not care for it. I am thankful you were here however. You proved a useful distraction despite the problem you caused in the process." She placed her hand out for him to shake.
Darkmega was smiling. "Well, what can I say? I always make up for my—" He was about to place his hand to hers, when he suddenly stopped.
He just heard a whisper in his head. A faint, angry female voice. 'The dark soul is right before you.'
Straight away he pulled his hand back, looking the Life Soul up and down, backing away.
"Why, Darkmega, is something wrong?"
"…" He didn't answer her. He tried to listen for that other voice, which soon spoke again. 'That is not the Life Soul. It knows you didn't trust the illusions it had made before her. It cannot hear me.'
"What are you?" Darkmega asked aloud, as the Life Soul looked confused and began to approach him.
"You know who I am."
'I am the soul created inside you. The Death Soul. I know the energy of my counterpart. That is not her.'
"How can I trust what you say?" Darkmega asked, forming and aiming his arm cannon at the Life Soul.
"Darkmega I am connected to Chad!"
'Because of what is around you. Haven't you noticed? The illusion is not yet broken.'
"DEATH SOUL!" the black aura returned to Darkmega. "Stay back!"
"Darkmega! Do not attack me! If you do it may kill Chad!" The Life Soul pleaded.
Darkmega knew the voice was right. If this was all Richard, then him being defeating should've made this place disappear…but…
'Allow me to do something to prove to you I am at least real.'
Suddenly, Darkmega felt pain in his chest, causing him to place his spare hand over it. It felt like something just clawed him…
"Darkmega?"
"DEATH BEAM!" He no longer hesitated and fired it at the Life Soul, striking her through her head as he screamed out in agony, the whole place beginning to dissolve away around her and Darkmega.
Soon she began melting, grabbing her head as she did, turning into black liquid, dipping away into the void of nothingness around them as everything turned dark.
'We will soon wake up again.'
Darkmega felt himself slowly fall downwards. "So why? Why did you talk now? Why not sooner?"
'Because I had no need to. Your soul and body were not in danger, you were being cautious, but once you woke me and used me, I could sense you being less cautious. And with a dark soul moving in to try and take us fully over, I refused.'
"So you only bothered because I let my guard down."
'I have no other reason to. I need you alive. Now wake up.'
Darkmega's vision blurred for a second, before he suddenly found himself no longer in control, but it was clear that he could see through someone's eyes again, as they panicked, stumbled, and were rolling across the metal ground, cursing with each hit as they went before coming to a stop, face first down on the floor.
"Owww. Not how I wanted to wake up from a day dream." Chad cursed, as he weakly started to push himself up from the metal floor. He looked at his hands. "Okay…still fused with Darkmega. Hey, Darkmega, you alright in there?"
Darkmega answered in Chad's mind "Chad? You alright buddy?"
"I, I guess. I dunno." Chad looked around, noticing they were back outside on the surface of Cybertron. The great metropolis around them….and a good few dozen miles away, the massive head of Unicron. "H-how did we get here? Where's Dr Rich and that Zerg thing Zasz?"
"What do you last recall Chad?"
"Well we fused, tried to use the Life Soul, things got trippy, you said run to Unicron then was laughing, then, I dunno. I just remember dreaming about Anna and us going around Mobius, things were getting darker and more eerie, like the planets were turning black and the sky going red, then, bam. Here we are."
"Well what if I said I just had a wild trippy experience through memories of another time another place, could be fake could be real, Roll had tits, there was a place called Beyondard, and it ended with me kicking the ass of the dark soul inside of you that tried to trick me twice over?"
"…I would call you on your bullshit." Chad flatly answered.
"Well why don't you try to trigger the Life Soul?"
"Alright then, but if we get all trippy again..." Chad got himself ready, making sure the coast was clear. "LIFE SOUL!"
A white aura sprung up around Chad…which shocked him, as he looked at his hands. "That's…odd. I don't feel any pain…or any malice towards you Darkmega."
"Told ya I had a wild trippy experience." Darkmega sounded smug.
Chad then forced him and Darkmega to unfuse, the Dark Navi appeared nearby Chad as the mobian boy returned to his human form, still with the Life Soul active for a few moments, before he disabled it. "So, wait…is the dark soul destroyed?"
"I don't honestly know Chad. I don't think it is, I think I just stopped it, or, weakened it." Darkmega was just glad he was back in his own body, in a place he knew was real.
"Well, I feel more like myself now…Thanks."
"Your welcome."
"So…" Chad looked ahead and focused on Unicron, noticing the black vessels and troopers around it. "Wanna sneak in and get to fighting Diamas and Chaos?"
"With us as a team, they won't know what hit 'em." Darkmega said, glad to see Chad was smiling at him again as they both started walking off.
"Hey Darkmega? Whilst we're moving, wanna tell me what exactly happened?"
"Honestly, no. It was too fucking weird, and I need time to put it all together, BUT I'm willing to talk about Roll's cup size by what I saw for that brief time. She might like the idea when this is all over."
"Forget I asked."
Mr T had fought difficult battles before, his fought enemies from all kinds of schools of fighting styles in the days he joined tournaments.
But Kel'Thurzard was beyond him.
Hokuto Ryuken was a dangerous art, used to be allowed to be taught to the strongest of people who were willing to allow their bodies and soul be twisted and maddened by it's demonic power. As far as legends said, there were no more known masters for it for thousands upon thousands of years.
That was because Kel'Thurzard was the last master of it. Often, he would take people every hundred years under him after the fall of Primus, train them, then demand they defeat to become a master. None of them did.
Some managed to escape him, hide on far off worlds, trying to avoid Shadowlaw. That's how Hokuto Ryuken still remained known because of those people. Though it was wondered by those poor souls if Kel just let them go to enjoy a hunt once in a while to relieve the boredom.
Mr T kept trying to land all kinds of moves to catch Kel'Thurzard, even striking those unfortunate enough to be around them when he tires, killing them instantly. But Kel knew every move, he knew every technique that Hokuto had from all these years of fighting masters of the opposing art.
But now Kel'Thurzard was getting bored. Mr T posed little of a challenge. He had hoped one that was working on the same side as a descendent of Primus would be unique, but despite Mr T's yelling about 'fools' and throwing his might around, it all meant nothing.
"Stand still! I'm gonna teach yo ass some lessons! HAGAN KEN!" Mr T tried to kick Kel right in the face, but the Shadowlaw leader simply sidestepped it.
"You're wasting my time now. Either impress me, or die." Kel'Thurzard suddenly darted his fist forward, and struck Mr T right in the shoulder, causing the man to yell out and stumble back, looking at it, noticing it still wasn't a pressure point strike.
"I'll put an end to the demonic power you carry! I'll show you one of Hokuto Shinken's strongest and one of its secret hidden moves!" Mr T moved in, raising his fists. "For all those before me! HOKUTO! SENJUKAI KEN!"
Kel'Thurzard knew it. A thousand-hand destruction fist. Several of the masters tried it on him before. One managed to break his arm with it at best. A technique which requires a lot of practice and a fair amount of use of the hundred-crack fist attack before it could be attempted. He mused for a moment on the damage it did to one of the masters that hadn't been fully prepared to use it, the way his arms exploded after.
Mr T's hands glowed in a bright white light, as he started to fling the fists rapidly in such a fast succession it was impossible to see with the naked eye, causing the blinding bright light from his fists covering Kel'Thurzard as he kept swinging.
"HOKUTO! TAIRYO GYAKUSATSU KATTA!"
Suddenly dispelling the white light, Kel'Thurzard appeared as time seemed to stop for Mr T, utterly shocked at seeing him approach between the punches. One of Kel's feet was covered in a dark green aura, as he brought it upwards across Mr T's torso.
As he felt himself be lifted up by the strike, with Kel leaping up into the air along with it, he knew it was a direct hit. It was like a blade slicing through his clothing and flesh, as blood gushed out from the strike which sent Mr T flying back, smashing into the ground, whilst Kel'Thurzard landed neatly on his feet.
Genocide Cutter. A move that could render flesh from bone in one fine slice. Mr T felt his entire chest muscles and stomach had been torn open. Blood was flooding out of him as he looked to his enemy. He felt his life inch away as his pressure points around that area were destroyed, with him unable to stop the blood flow. "It…it can't be over…"
"Go and meet your master in the realm beyond. Your time is done, Shinken user."
Mr T gave one more groan as he laid his head back, and felt his heart come to a stop.
Kel'Thurzard moved on, looking for Diamas, trying to sense for him. The battle around him clearly still raging on with no victor decided yet.
He wanted to make sure Diamas made his own decision.
Sun Shang Xiang had just skidded across the ground on her back, with several cuts on her body, unable to fight any further, in too much pain to try.
Xiahou Yuan found himself being smashed across the side of the face, stumbling and falling to the ground, now having reach a point where he couldn't keep getting back up to fight, batted, cut and bruised all over.
Diamas ran past him, and his sword once again clashed with Terra's Keyblade, the young man was badly wounded, but still refused to falter. "You're not getting past me monster!"
Diamas had been cut, battered, damaged and smacked around by these three, but he was determined. His face, tainted with his blood, showed he was pissed off, angered that his objective is still being made out of reach by these people.
The dark master sword kept managing to hurt these people, yet they still refused to yield. Diamas couldn't understand why these people were so difficult for him to overcome. He was a sword master, a man who could out-duel anyone with a blade or close combat weapon who stood before him, yet these people seemed to be able to stand up to that.
"Get out of my way!" Diamas once again tried to either take Terra down or cripple him, but the Keyblader managed to avoid the sword stabbing into him, parrying it aside.
Again and again he tried, his anger never-ceasing against Terra, his attempts on his life never stopping. He was going to get past, one way or another.
Terra meanwhile, was exhausted. He had hoped Zelda would flee by now, go and hide somewhere.
But as he glanced behind him, there she was still near the gate into Jie Ting, her eyes closed, hands together as if in prayer…she had been like this the moment Sun Shang, Xiahou and him all took Diamas on at once.
He shouldn't have focused elsewhere though.
He felt a sharp pain in his left leg and looked down, grabbing it with one hand.
Diamas' master sword had struck it, causing a wave of blood, and for the Keyblader to lower his guard more so as Diamas now raised the weapon up, to plunge it into Terra. "Now the last one in the way will be slain! And I'll reach my destiny!"
"DIAMAS!"
Diamas stopped his planned attack. He looked past Terra, noticing Zelda was looking at him now, her hands down at her side. "…Do not kill him Diamas. You may approach."
Diamas seemed to think for a second, as Terra focused on her now. "Zelda what're you—ARGH!"
He was stuck across the head with the hilt of the master sword, being sent down to the ground as Diamas then walked past him, heading to his target. "I did not need your permission, princess. I've come to collect what I desire!"
"I am right here Diamas…do you not know who I am?"
That made Diamas come to a dead stop near her, lowering his sword for a moment. His anger beginning to calm with the confusion that entered his mind. "Do not know who…you are a princess of Hyrule, what rubbish are you babbling about?"
Terra wanted to force himself up for another fight, but Zelda shook her head to him, before focusing on Diamas, looking guilty. "I am a princess, yes, but I always take this position. I always come back as this Diamas. That is my choice, my wish with my mortal soul."
Diamas stared at her…he wasn't sure but, there was an outline of someone around her now…
"I never could accept what I was turning into." She chuckled bitterly. "You should see the stories our world made up…how Primus and I were supposed to have shared feelings, having committing acts of love making...I suppose I needed to seem like a fool."
Diamas was completely stunned now, realizing who was speaking it him, the outline clear now, of a beautiful blond Hyrulian girl, with long hair, beautiful blue eyes and the front of her tied into two braids, slowly moving away from Zelda, now standing next to her.
"H…Hylia…"
Whilst Hylias mouth moved, it was Zelda who spoke for them. "They said I was a princess, daughter of a king. It was fitting I would take such a position as the years passed by…but do you know what part of the story that is remembered that hurts me the most? The part where I died."
"…You were cast from the balcony. Primus tossed you to your death as you were blooded by his blade." Diamas felt bitter recalling it. "I rushed to get the dark master sword. Primus mocked me, his twisted smile about what I had lost…Cuo Zi did nothing to subdue my rage, none of them did, and he struck me down!"
"…I twisted Primus." Zelda looked right into his eyes as she said that. "I cursed his mind and body, forced him down that darkened path he would follow until his demise."
"W-what? No…No! Don't lie to me!"
"I'm not." Zelda took a step towards him as Hylia did the same. "Do you remember the orb of sight I had? That gift that allowed me to see where people were and use powers even beyond those of a deity? Do you remember that gift I held close?"
"Yes of course. I recall it's bright purple light, the swirling colors within it. The power it gave you."
"You've seen it elsewhere now. You've seen it on other worlds, in broken pieces or whole. You know you have. Look back Diamas. It will all fall into place if you do!"
…It hit Diamas like a freight train.
That orb at night was beautiful…but in the day… "No…it was a…it can't be…"
"Did you honestly think your anger brought Unicron to our world?"
"Hylia…why? Why did you have a Sigil Stone!?"
Zelda looked down for a moment, before back at him, smiling a little. "Because it made me feel as powerful as Ingrid, that I could be of use to you all. I never noticed it's twisting effects the more I used it until my deity side…my Leviathan Soul, began to change." She stopped smiling. "I could feel the beast crawling inside of me. Cuo—Zuo Ci, sensed it, warning I would soon become a Hylden…or even worse, the Stin."
"I wanted to cast the orb aside, but I couldn't. It was too luring for me, for my desire to keep you and our child safe." Zelda walked closer to him, with Hylia doing so as well. "That night, I felt it grow too strong…I attacked them first Diamas. I fed on the power of the orb, and became more of a twisted monster then even Demise."
"…Then, Primus? Why did he—"
"He tried to save me Diamas. He tried to rescue me for you and our unborn child…But as he snapped me out of my madness, my power reaching out as tendrils to him, stabbing through into his flesh to corrupt him, I knew I couldn't live like this…I told him to kill me."
Zelda felt around her stomach. "I told him to strike at us both…the child would be as broken as I was if I were to give birth. It, hurt me, Diamas. But the blade he used ended my struggle. I went to the balcony, no longer wanting to stay in the mortal realm, and finished myself off, spotting you only as I fell…I felt relief, knowing you saw my last moment as sane as possible, rather then what Primus fought."
"But I cursed him…those tendrils did their job before he struck me down, fragments of the sigil energy fed into Primus. I saw it in the Farplanes, his madness as you attacked him. Zuo Ci could only plead for him to stop, none of his friends wishing to hurt Primus, telling you to not do so either. It was only going to end one way."
"…Unicron came because of you…" Diamas looked to his sword, his face within the reflection of it, showing sadness.
"Yes. The orb I told Zuo Ci to hide away before they departed our world after your fall…I never knew what Unicron was, when he arrived at our world, when you ventured into him. Became a part of him as he targeted Skyloft to extract the Sigil Stone…and your rage made him destroy it."
Diamas glanced at her. "…You didn't stop me. If you could see all this…"
"No. I couldn't. I didn't feel I had the right to face you and tell you my horrible mistake, that I wanted our child dead. I felt shame for it…So, I divided my sleeping mortal soul, allowing it to return to Hyrule whilst my Leviathan soul still remains in the Farplanes, and allowed it to be reborn…Each Zelda is my mortal soul reborn, thrown back onto Hyrule because I never felt content with the memories it brought with it to the Farplanes. I never felt I had redeemed myself…When you woke up from Unicron, I knew how to face my mistakes at last."
She moved closer…and without any resisting, she hugged him, whilst Hylia seemed to become one with Zelda again, hugging him too. "Please, forgive them Diamas. Forgive Primus. Forgive all those here. I failed you. I failed to fight darkness where you succeeded. I am the reason this has gone all wrong."
Diamas slowly, very slowly, placed his arms around Zelda…to him, he could smell the flowers in Hylias hair, her scent before him.
"Please, I know of your intentions. Your need of the Triforce. You don't need it Diamas. If you want me, I'm waiting in the Farplanes…my leviathan soul, the deity that you loved and cherished. I'm waiting there for you."
Diamas slowly let go of her. "…Hylia…"
She stopped hugging him, but held on, small tears in her eyes. "Diamas?"
"…I loved you…My heart belonged to you…it always will."
In a flash, the image of Hylia vanished, as Zelda went rigid, staring in shock at Diamas, blood leaking from the side of her mouth, her hands shaking as she held onto him.
The dark master sword had pieced through her stomach, out of her back. "…But I need the Triforce. I have one wish I want fulfilled, before I can move on."
"D…Diamas…" She slowly slid down onto her knees, as he stepped aside, leaving the blade embedded within her, as she now stared down at it, a trickle of tears escaping.
On Diamas' hand, the final piece of the Triforce appeared…he had them all. He took a few steps forward, and raised his hand outwards in front of him.
Zelda soon slumped to the ground, as a puddle of blood formed around her, in her final breath, she merely gave out a weak "…Please…" before falling still.
Terra was angered, readying the Keyblade, when he saw a golden light in his vision, appear before Diamas, blinding him momentarily, before an energy forces swept around him and the others, keeping them at bay.
As the Triforce appeared before the mind of Unicron, who stared at it's beauty. "Finally. I have it. I have called on it."
Within each piece before him…he could see the reflections of the three goddesses, the three deities who could combined their powers as one to grant any single wish. He was sure they were looking at him, as he stepped up to the Triforce.
He looked past the light though, knowing others were watching. Behind him, that Keyblader slowly approached the fallen body of Zelda, despite the energy trying to keep him away.
He saw Kel'Thurzard watching him from afar, looking at him, not at the glory of the Triforce.
On one of the nearby mountain sides…he saw a lady with white hair, her red eyes looking down at him…Ingrid.
He looked to the triforce.
He placed his hand on it. "…Goddesses. Hear me. I have the power to bring the Triforce back as one, I have the wisdom to call upon you, and the courage to make a wish…"
"You know who I am. What I was when I walked on the world you three watched over along with Hylia. You know I am the one who took that world away. First trying to destroy its people, then I consumed it entirely."
"I now will be taking a journey. One that could be my last. But I beg of you to listen to my wish before I move on."
He closed his eyes. He could see what he wanted, smiling. "…Goddesses, please, bring back what I have stolen from others. Bring back all the lives I stole from that world and those as Unicron, both the past and present. Give them all another chance…"
Three female voices, in sync, answered him from the triforce. "What you ask is immense, greater then any wish we have granted before. We cannot give you that wish…however, we can return some of the worlds you had once consumed, including Hylian, and some of the lives that were lost. But you are marred the curse of the machine, until that curse is destroyed, we shall place these worlds under a sleep that nothing will awaken them from."
Diamas listened, and understood.
"If you accept this, your wish will be granted."
Diamas looked to the Triforce.
"I accept."
The Triforce seemed to rise higher and higher into the air, it's golden glow getting brighter as it did, causing people all around Jie Ting to take notice, the golden beams spreading far and wide…before the Triforce broke into it's three separate pieces, and flew off into the sky.
…Diamas wondered if it actually worked, if they granted what he wanted. He turned around…and saw Zelda slowly disappearing, small sparkles of golden energy surrounding her body, leaving behind his master sword.
He walked over, noticing Terra just standing there, looking at him, holding his Keyblade close. The Hyrulian picked up his weapon, then turned his attention to Kel'Thurzard, making his way over to him. The Keyblade wielder slowly lowered his weapon.
On the mountainside, Ingrid vanished in a small flash of white light.
"…I did what you said. I decided." Diamas looked to his friend, no longer smiling, looking serious.
"It's a decision that'll leave you at odds with some of us." Kel'Thurzard folded his arms. "But I for one hold no grudge with you. You have proven to me your no slave to Unicron…Now you need to go and see what we can make of the head."
"Cybertron is a machine world…with time, we can convert it into a new body if we must. Right now we should focus on claiming the technology and information from it, then claiming that world."
"A wise idea Diamas, but you need to see Chaos first...Get going. I have a fight to finish."
Diamas nodded, getting out a Shadowlaw made com-link, and soon enough, he was teleported away.
Kel'Thurzard looked over to the Keyblade user, and his two allies, the cries of battle resuming once again. "I suppose I should dispose of you three."
"Area clear. No sign of any hostiles."
"Alright, take five minutes rest, then begin the sweep of section 32. The master wants us to make sure no one interferes with Unicron. My team will remain in this area."
"Roger that."
"Squad 10, do you read? Any report from Chaos?"
Chad and Darkmega stayed low, clinging close to the wall they were behind, listening in to the group of thirty-something troopers, all in black power armor.
"…Got it."
"Well?"
"Nothing new. No report from Earth V on the recreation of Unicron yet. Get on your breaks then back to work."
"Yes sir."
"In. IN!" Chad hissed, as he pushed Darkmega away from the corner, both of them quickly moving down the street they were at until they got inside an abandoned cybertronian building, quietly closing the door.
"Okay. What's the plan now? We know they got ships watching us, and they got troopers left and right keeping everywhere under lock down." Darkmega asked.
"Well, I thought we could take to the roofs and jump from building to building via area steals, no doubt get spotted, then just run like hell." Chad suggested.
"And possibly get killed, or we could cross fuse and dive into the net as you'll be combined with me so no need for a transmitter for you and sneak our way through."
"Would it work?" Chad wondered.
"Well so long as we don't unfuse, because if we did and you're in the network I have no idea what'll happen to you."
"…Okay let's both think if we can brew up a third option with minimal risks." Chad sat down, obviously now trying to think of idea, with Darkmega sighing and joining him.
They both took their time, thinking of how to approach the problem, how to get past the assholes outside and reach Unicron, save the universe from a possible rebirth of that machine and defeat 'the dark one'.
That's when Chad started hearing gunfire outside.
"…Hey Chad, I got an idea. Why don't we surrender?"
"What?" Chad looked at his ally.
The gunfire was getting more and more, and now he could hear ships flying past over the building.
"Well we pretend to give, they'll no doubt take us to whoever is in charge, then we fuck'em up."
"Darkmega I doubt that'll work. These guys don't look like the sort that'll take us alive. Hell they don't seem like the sort that'll know who we are."
There were…unusual roars, nothing of the ordinary, being heard now, as well as panic and yells as the weapons fire continue.
"By the way, can you hear all that?"
"What? The sounds that make it as if total bedlam is going on out there?" Darkmega looked to Chad.
"Yeah that."
"I was trying to ignore it and hope it'll stop soon and we can sneak out to see what's going on."
Suddenly, smashing through one of the walls was Griffon, having just been struck by weapons fire from one of the ships, it landed on its side, covered with pieces of metal before getting itself up and spotting Chad and Darkmega, it's numerous eyes locked onto them. "You two! What're you doing here!"
Darkmega wasn't sure if it was pleased or pissed. "Run like hell!?"
"Run like hell!" Chad answered with, as both now ran out the front door.
Chad wasn't sure what he was expecting, an army of the SF, a gathering of the Gero Base Faction coming to help, Cybertronians on the rise.
Instead he and Darkmega were met with monsters and beasts of various shapes and sizes attacking the ships and troopers alike, such as Ultima Weapon from Gaia VII, Griffon and Phantom, three Bahamuts, along with humanoid people, including as Chad could see, Lu Bu riding Red Hare, ripping through the Shadowlaw forces.
Chad changes into his mobian form, pulling out the PET. "Get in Darkmega!"
"Excuse me?!"
"Just transmit in and I can run at full speed to Unicron's head! Come on!"
"But, damn man. There's a Navi in there already. These things don't have infinite space ya know." With that, Darkmega transmitted into the PET, before Chad put it away and legged it as fast as he possibly could, zig zagging between the bodies and the near misses of bumping into these beasts and people slugging it out.
He was sure Lu Bu saw him, before looking way dismissively and lopping the head of a trooper off with his halberd. "These fools must be hiding the Chaotic Entity! FIND IT AT ONCE!"
Chad soon made his way past the chaos, and found himself before Unicron's head. It had a metal stairway in place for him to run up and get in through one of the broken eyes, but there was a metal ramp going up into the mouth…
…And something was telling him there was something important in there.
He ran up the ramp, entering the dark, hollowed out maw of the beast, the damaged walls and ceiling creaking as he entered, readying the Blade of Darkness.
And quickly enough, he saw what made him feel something was here.
Further in, her body just visible in the darkness, laying there, was Anna.
And next to her, were three hooded figures, all looking over at Chad as he arrived. "Well, look who showed up." A male voice said as he motioned to Chad.
Chad quickly came over, weapon ready, trying to get to Anna, when one of the hooded people stood in the way, raising their own weapon up…a replica of the Blade of Darkness, but unlike the red stone within Chads blade, this one had a blue stone.
It caused him to come to a stop, looking at the sword, then past the hooded person at Anna…who was clearly hurt. There were tears in her clothing, small cuts with blood leaking out, and visible bruises.
That angered him. "Get out of my way."
The hooded figure with the replica of the Blade of Darkness gave a womanly chuckle. "We'll let you have her soon enough…but tell me, do you know what you're getting yourself into?"
"A fight with you three bastards if you don't let me reach Anna!"
"Calm down. We're not here to fight you yet." The carrier of the other blade lowered her weapon. "We can be friends even. We actually saved her."
"…?" Chad lowered his weapon calmly.
The last hooded person now spoke, also a girl. "If he, the one who brought her here, kept her for a while more, he would've made her into a soulless puppet to mock you with…though with the way you're being played around by both of them, I think it'll be a mercy if she moved on."
Chad didn't answer, but showed confusion in his face.
The girl with the blade talked again. "Your lady friend inside the PET. She wasn't attacked by the one you're looking for. She was attacked by someone else."
The male of the group now talked. "Anna was attacked by one person, Roll by another. It's horrible to see the way they act now…but I suppose they know what they're doing, if it means it'll eventually end for everyone."
"…Who hurt them?" Chad wanted to know.
The other girl spoke, without the blade. "Someone that your fighting now, he hurt Anna…the other…his name is the broken one."
"The Broken One? First the Dark One and now the Broken One?" The mobian boy was not impressed. "Alright well I know the Dark One is Richard. Who is the Broken One then?"
The three hooded figures looked to one another, until the girl without the blade looked upwards, then back at them, shaking her head. "We can't delay no further. He is aware."
"Can't we end this now?" The one with the sword now pointed it at Chad. "He isn't that strong yet. We have a chance to stop any sort of divergence."
Chad got his sword ready, but noticed the man walk over and grab the hilt of the woman's sword. "No." he forced her to slowly lower it. "If we kill him we create another divergence ourselves, and 'he' will be pissed off with us with spoiling what he wants…you know what he said about us within that realm, do you really want to actually experience what he did to us there?"
"…I want payback for what Chad has done to my heart."
"This, isn't, him."
"Wait, what did I do to you?" Chad focused on the woman who had now made her blade of darkness disappear via data fragments.
"…You…"
"Chad!"
Chad looked behind him, surprised at spotting Dr Rich running in, with Zasz besides him. "My god man we finally catch up with you!"
Chad looked back to the hooded people.
They were gone, leaving Anna there.
"Hey! HEY!" There was a voice coming from the PET, which Chad guessed who.
He quickly pulled out the device, and out came Darkmega, before putting away the PET again and rushing over to Anna to check on her. "Anna? Anna!"
Darkmega flexed his arms and legs a little, as Dr Rich and Zasz came up to him. "Man, you guys took your sweet time."
"You two running off without a warning did not help." Zasz explained. "I had to track your scent for us to keep pace."
Anna meanwhile, gave a small groan, before weakly opening her eyes. "C…Chad?" She gave a smile. "Chad, it's you…isn't it?"
"As far as I know it's me." Chad held her close. Relieved she wasn't in the same state as Roll was. "What are you doing here though Anna? How did you get here?"
The girl remembered, looking shaken. "He, he pretended to be you. He had a woman help him capture me, Medi tried to stop him but she was, I, I think she's been killed!"
Darkmega was now horrified. "What!?"
"Who was it Anna!? Who did this!" Chad was now feeling his rage growing.
"Richard. Chad, Richard tricked us. Chaos beat me but Richard…"
Chad then lifted her up in his arms, turning to the others. "It's okay Anna. I'll make them pay. Guys, we gotta head to the eye of Unicron!"
"Both of 'em gotta be there huh?" Dr Rich guessed.
"No doubt about it. They better not expect a warm welcome though, not after this. Not after Medi." Darkmega readied his arm cannon, he too was pissed off.
"Come on guys!" With that, Chad led the way, holding Anna as close to his chest as possible…which he noticed she was smiling about.
"I'm glad you came Chad. I knew my hero wouldn't abandon me…"
"I would never abandon you, Anna."
Xiahou Yuan and Sun Shang couldn't help Terra.
Kel'Thurzard easily brushed them aside, focused on the keyblader who found himself against someone he wasn't ready for.
He got extra help, coming from Samus, Xiahou Dun and Shadow, but they were mere distractions for Kel.
Xiahou Dun found himself on the ground, beaten down.
Samus found her visor was smashed, and her suit heavily damaged.
And Shadow just landed near Terra, panting whilst on one knee, as Kel'Thurzard simply cracked his knuckles, grinning evilly. "There's just no way we can take him…"
The leader of Shadowlaw was about to move in on them both, when his com-link went off. "This is Dr Gero to Kel'Thurzard, I require aid. Our forces are failing against the three kingdoms. We'll have to drop back if this continues. We came to help the Han and GF, not die for them."
Kel stopped and quickly answered it whilst staring down Terra and Shadow. "I'm busy. Xehanort, teleport yourself to Dr Gero and provide aid."
"If I do that master, our southern forces will be ineffective. Are you sure on this?" Came the reply.
Kel'Thurzard was about to answer, when a several blue beams struck around him, causing dust and dirt to rise up and surround him.
Shadow quickly looked around to see where those came from, and soon saw who.
Floating down near them, was Zuo Ci. "Apologies for the unexpected arrival gentlemen."
Terra quickly got himself ready. "Who the hell are you?"
"I am Zuo Ci. I am a deity, and I have come looking for assistance. A dark moment in our Universe is coming, and a fear the boy of destiny is heading towards it, but he will need aid if he wishes to stop it." Zuo Ci reached out his hand to Terra. "I sense you are the one that can help in this darkening time. Destiny is calling me to you. Will you help?"
Shadow looked at Terra, then at Zuo Ci. "Listen old man, I don't know who you are but right now we need to deal with someone else who is threatening the lives of others!"
The dust had cleared at this point, and Kel'Thurzard certainly didn't look happy. "Zuo Ci…the deity who followed Primus himself…"
Well at least that confirmed Zuo Ci's identity for Terra. "So you want me to help you?"
"Please. Time is running short."
"Stay out of this deity! The boy of destiny is not here!" Kel'Thurzard clenched his fists.
"Nor is Diamas, both are heading to the dark moment. You are merely a small part in all that is coming Kel'Thurzard, apprentice of Doom!"
Diamas…Kel'Thurzard looked up at the sky for a moment. His on Cybertron…maybe he should go to him to make sure he makes it through this…but at the same time if this battle is lost…
That's when Terra got a call, from Aqua. "Terra this is Aqua! I'm at the southern lines, really could do with some help right about now! Can you or Cao Cao send some aid? If you don't I don't think we can fight them off!"
Terra looked to his com-link, then to Zuo Ci, whilst Kel'Thurzard focused now on his own com-link.
One wanted to stay, one wanted to go.
Chad and the others had entered the eye of Unicron.
It felt different from before, when they entered it whilst it was in space. There it felt, eerie, and unwelcoming. Now Chad felt like something was drawing him in.
He stopped just inside the damaged eye, and placed Anna down near the wall, letting her lean on it. "Anna…I need you to stay here, okay?"
"Chad?"
"I can't risk you being there if Chaos and Richard are there. We'll handle this, you wait here."
Anna didn't want him to go, hugging him close. "Please Chad…I'm afraid…"
"It's okay Anna. I'll make it okay again. Chaos and Richard won't come back from this."
She gave him a kiss, before Chad stood back up and took the PET out of his pocket, placing it near her. "Look after Roll too, okay? She's kinda been disabled."
"A-alright." Anna grabbed the PET, holding it close. "I'll make sure she's safe too. Please, promise me you'll come back to me, okay?"
"I promise Anna."
He stepped away from her, looking to his companions. "We go in, we kick anyone's ass that gets in our way and we save the Universe, several worlds, people, whatever. We just make sure whatever is being planned by this 'Dark one' never happens. Nameless had us gathered for a reason, let's see it through."
Dr Rich, Zasz and Darkmega all nodded in agreement, following Chad as he headed deeper into the mind of Unicron.
Anna watched them leave, gently placing an arm over Roll's shoulders, making sure she stays close…Neither noticed that coming into the eye of Unicron was a man with twelve claws…
Diamas, had appeared within the main mind room of Unicron, where his prison, the glass sphere, was.
Chaos was close by, still accessing the computers of Unicron, checking through it's database as best as he can, still sorting out his little project, which Diamas noticed a small battlechip close to Chaos. "Chaos. I have returned."
Chaos stopped typing, and turned towards Diamas. "…Your stance has changed. Something has happened."
Diamas nodded, sighing a little. "I had gained the Triforce. But I have used it on a personal wish instead of Unicron."
Diamas wasn't sure how Chaos had reacted to the news. He seemed taken aback, looking away and shifting his glasses to keep them right up to his eyes. "…I see."
"It means we'll have to go the long away around of repairing the body."
"Agreed." Chaos motioned to the glass sphere. "Head inside and I shall reconnect you to the network, so then you can see the plan yourself."
Diamas shook his head…now that sphere was unwelcoming to him. Three million years being trapped was enough. "I will leave it in your hands Chaos."
"Hm, Disappointing." Chaos turned back to the computers. "Well, I have planned for the eventual possibility that the Triforce may fail us."
Diamas looked surprised. "Oh?"
"Indeed. I have noticed the ship has a trans-modifier system in place to help it regain it's form. One of several emergency systems put in place by the creators. One especially for worlds like Cybertron." Chaos turned back to the computers and started to type.
The ground beneath Diamas shook violently, as the head of the planet eater started to come to life.
"Thankfully where Unicron is placed is one of the two direct routes to the main core of this planet, suggested by Ingrid no less. Shadowlaw has helped connect Unicron to Cybertron for a secondary power source as well. So all I need to do it's activate the transforming module."
The floor around the glass sphere broke and collapsed into a cylinder-shaped hole, clearly the fragments of the floor going down far further then just the neck base of Unicron as there was no final sound of metal hitting a floor somewhere.
Then, the sphere seemed to break off the supports, and fell into the depths as well, shocking Diamas, as he saw it vanish into the darkness.
From the ceiling, came three different large coloured tubes, one red, one purple, one golden. Each one extending into the depths of the hole before Diamas, as the shaking stopped, and he turned to Chaos, noticing that the person had already turned to face him again, hands behind his back. "If I was within that sphere-!"
"—It would've been easier for you, quicker too." Chaos flatly answered. "Those three tubes will now descend into the core, and connect to the machinery of this planet to start the reform, which will take a large amount of time thanks to your decision. I will have to inform Ingrid to send all that she can here if she wishes to the planet body of Unicron."
"It will not function so effectively without a host!"
"Oh?" That's when Chaos brought one of his hands forward, holding that battlechip Diamas saw, which had an red icon shaped like Unicron's head. "This contains the system data, modified to be made into a partial self-sufficent Navi. The project isn't complete due to your timing, but I can work on it whilst this planet is twisted into what we want."
"This was your plan all along!" Diamas readied his dark master sword.
"No Diamas…all of us guardians planned for you to be disposed. It was as Ingrid expected and feared, your righteous side has resurfaced after being unable to function as Unicron."
"All of you?...even her and Kel'Thurzard? Gabriel?"
Chaos stared at him for a moment. "Something tells me Kel'Thurzard may have had an effect on you…or you on him. A shame. He was a useful body once, but if it's found out he might even be planning to pull out of this, he'll be dealt with too."
"No!" Diamas got himself into his combat stance. "I'll deal with you and put a stop to all this!"
"Chaos, Diamas!"
Both turned and looked, as Chad, Dr Rich, Zasz and Darkmega entered the room.
"Whatever it is your planning it ends now!" Chad had the Blade of Darkness out.
Chaos focused on Diamas. "Deal with them first, and perhaps I'll gladly reconsider ending your life and put in a word for Ingrid."
Diamas wasn't sure who to focus on. Those who destroyed his body were one side, and the other was the one who wanted him dead now. He slowly stepped in the way of Chad and the others.
That's when several Zerg veins appeared near Chaos, forming into a large cocoon shape, before Richard appeared in their place. "Chaos, we might have a problem, Chad is—" He looked over. "Well shit."
"Richard!" Now Chad was locked on him.
Richard quickly made one of his claws point towards Chad. "Relax Chad, it's me alright. And we're pals, aren't we?"
Chad felt something inside him react, like his stomach twisting slightly…but nothing else. The Dark soul was too weak to try and assume control. This just confirmed it for Chad more that Richard had played him. "Not this time!"
"Oh…oh shit you actually managed to break the hold. But how?" Richard seemed a little surprised before looking over at an angry Darkmega. "Something tells me you had something to do with this."
"I'm gonna make you suffer for what you did to Medi Richard!" Darkmega readied his dark cyber sword.
Chad wanted to go right at him, but with Diamas in the way, who to his own surprise, appeared to be unsure on attacking.
But soon his mind was made up, as he lowered the dark master sword. "Today, Chad Oswald, you are not my enemy. I will make you pay for the loss of my body…but I have a more pressing enemy to deal with." With that he turned towards Chaos, aiming the sword at him. "I'm not going to serve those who planned my death from the start!" and ran at him, swinging the blade.
Chaos easily deflected the sword the punched Diamas, stunning him momentarily before kicking him in the stomach. Then had to focus on two more targets, dodging the energy scythe of Dr Rich, and jumping up and over Diamas to avoid the gaping maw of Zasz, turning to all three opponents as he landed, motioning at them to come at him.
Chad and Darkmega meanwhile, moved in on Richard, who laughed at them, forming two dark cyber swords and blocking their weapons. "Oh come on now guys! You know I'm innocent! I didn't cut Medi down as she tried to defend poor helpless Anna!" with that he spun around swinging the blades and his claws, making both the mobian and the Navi take a step back to avoid it all.
Richard then quickly focused on Chad, moving his blades all over the place to try and gain a hit, making the boy go on the defensive, before Darkmega caught his attention, having to use a couple of his claws to stop the dark cyber sword striking, and spinning around kicking the Navi aside.
"CHAOS CONTROL!" Chad fired it from his hand, the red beam knocking Richard down who just simply leapt back up on his feet and dived at Chad once again, failing to spot the incoming energy shot from a dark cannon formed by Darkmega, allowing it to blast him in the chest and send him back down to the ground.
Chaos meanwhile, was ducking and weaving between Diamas and Dr Rich who both were trying to get him with their respective weapons, unable to land a blow before he leapt up and kicked them both in the face, causing them to stumble back. As he landed he had to deck Zasz across the face several times with his fists as the beast tried to come at him whilst the others had been pushed away.
Zasz managed to withstand the strikes, and raised his razor sharp claws, plunging them down at Chaos who stopped them, grabbing them with his hands, keeping a firm grip. "You. You're the 8th clone. Why would Xehanorts 8th secret little project want to attack me?"
"I have a score to settle!" She responded before opening her mouth wide, and causing Chaos to let go and jump away, as a spew of green liquid vomited out, landing on the ground causing a hissing noise. Acid.
"Well at least that confirms you're much more Zerg then all the others." Chaos noted, before finding the beast coming at him again.
"LIFE SOUL!"
"DEATH SOUL!"
Before Richard, both Chad and Darkmega gained their auras, causing him to now avoid, as they yelled out. "LIFE BEAM!"
"DEATH BEAM!"
He dived to the side, seeing the black and white beams pass by. "Oh of COURSE you guys would resort to that!" He formed out of six of his claws, dark cannons, firing them at the pair.
The energy shots struck them, causing them to try and withstand the hits.
He smirked and fired the weapons again and again. Slowly causing a small gathering of smoke from each impact of the energy shots. "That's right! Just stand there and die for me!"
"CROSS FUSION!"
He stopped using the cannons…and the smoke instantly cleared, showing Chad and Darkmega had fused, along with their Life and Death souls, creating that grey appearance from when they were within Unicron. Raising his hands out towards them, firing the Twilight grey energy beam, smashing Richard in the gut and causing him to fly back slamming into the ground. "Ow, should've seen that coming too."
Chaos decked Zasz right on the top of her head, causing her to fall to the floor in pain. But soon enough he found Diamas on him, swinging the master sword and managing to slice his coat and clothing, before Chaos managed to call out "Chaos Blast!"
It caused an eruption of red energy to come out all around him, sending both Diamas and Zasz flying back. Dr Rich meanwhile, after spotting this, waited for the energy to fade, then activated a Vulcan cannon battlechip, opening fire trying to hit Chaos.
The enemy of Chad easily started avoiding the stream of bullets, leaping at a nearby wall and launching off it to smash Dr Rich in the head with his boot.
An Area Steal stopped that, as the Navi appeared behind where Chaos landed and swung his scythe, Chaos simply taking a step to the right to dodge it as it stabbed into the ground. "I don't recognize you." He turned to Dr Rich and used a Chaos Control Beam, which the Navi avoided. "And despite all the clones of him over there, that makes you unique."
"BURNING JET!"
"Hm?" Chaos looked a little interested, as two jets of blue fire erupted out of the GF armor from Dr Rich's back, launching him at Chaos, ramming into him and slamming him into a wall.
It didn't seem to faze Chaos much, as when the attack ended and the scythe wielder tried to stab him again, he just done a somersault kick, connecting right on Dr Rich's chin and making him fall back and land on the ground. "So who are you? Truly?"
Dr Rich rolled on the ground away from Chaos and was back on his feet, with Diamas to his left and Zasz to his right. "Someone who just wants to get through this!"
"You won't." Chaos watched as all three came at him. "Time to put this at an end." He crossed over his arms in front of his face. "Chaos Explosion!"
Chad in his fused state, had just blasted Richard with another twilight beam as he tried to attack, sending him away again when he saw the red energy glowing close by.
Chaos Explosion was a much more intense version of Chaos Blast, causing damage to all three of those that had got close to Chaos as he shot his arms outwards, causing the eruption of energy to escape him.
Diamas, Dr Rich and Zasz all yelled out in pain, before slamming into the ground on the other side of the room, wounded and struggling to recover.
"The hell just happened!?" Darkmega asked in Chad's mind.
"Chaos knows the advanced versions of the Chaos energy attacks, we'll need to be careful when we finally—" Chad looked back at Richard, who had jumped on him, pinning him to the ground and was trying to impale him with his claws, making Chad having to twist himself each him to avoid the extra limbs. "But first we need to deal with YOU!" Chad managed to aim his hand and fire a twilight beam, knocking Richard off and back down to the ground, looking over at Chaos just standing there.
Richard was mumbling to himself as he got back up, looking exhausted, then, in pain. "W…what?...what is happening to me!?"
Chad focused on him, readying his blade of darkness.
"This pain! No! The twilight power has…it has…AARRGGHHH!" Richard grabbed his chest, yelling out as he did.
"Did we just beat him?" Darkmega was surprised at this turn of events. "Heck I never knew the combined power could take him down so soon."
Out of Richard as he was shouting in pain and suddenly floated off the ground a few inches, fired a purple energy beam from his chest that coursed through the air and struck Chaos as he was approaching the tired trio of opponents, causing him to look over, surprised as he felt it strike, but it didn't hurt, phase him…nothing. It just seemed to connect the two for a moment, as if creating a link, before vanishing.
Richard fell to his knees, looking at his hands, panting and confused. "W…What?"
"He isn't dead yet!" Chad noticed, before readying the sword again and ran towards him. "Die you bastard!"
Richard straight away looks up at him, utterly shocked and horrified, falling onto his backside and raising his hand. "Ch-CHAD!? CHAD WAIT! STOP!"
Chad managed to bring himself to a stop, his sword just inches from Richard, looking utterly baffled at his sudden change. "What the?"
"Where did his goddamn cockiness go?" Darkmega wanted to know.
"What's going on Chad? W-where the hell am I!? Where is this place?!"
Chad just stared. "You…don't remember what's happening?"
"I just…I remember battling you in Unicron, then I went to the Hero Base…and then Chaos came and said about me having a use…Chad what's happening? Why are you trying to kill me this time?!"
"You don't remember Earth V? You don't remember using me with a dark soul? You don't remember kidnapping Anna and killing Medi!? You don't remember tricking me and lying to me!?"
"Chad I have no idea what the hell you're on about! I swear I have no idea! Why were we on Earth V? What happened to Medi? Now where are we?!"
Darkmega was clearly just as confused in Chad's mind. "What the hell? Did he bump his head or something!"
But Chad didn't take long to piece it together.
The beam he just saw. The connection to Chaos.
Chad's head quickly turned to Chaos, flying into a newly fueled rage as he finally knew the truth "YOU! YOU'RE THE DARK ONE NAMELESS SAID ABOUT! IT NEVER WAS RICHARD!"
Chaos didn't get much time to react, as Chad instantly used Chaos Control and appeared right before him, stabbing the blade of darkness into his side, causing Chaos to grit his teeth then respond by punching Chad away, leaving the blade in the wound it made.
He didn't have time to try and understand what just happened himself. He pulled the sword out and tossed it aside, before finding Chad trying to connect with several round of the homing attack mobian hedgehogs know of, Chaos blocking each attempt before firing a chaos control beam to knock Chad back again.
"Chad we need to think of a quick plan if we want to defeat Chaos—" Darkmega tried to say to him.
"ARRAGH!" Chad couldn't care. With the beating of Anna, the death of Medi, Roll being in an almost lifeless state and the reveal that Chaos is the one behind it all made him lose all sense of control, triggering a program advance ability, and creating a life sword in his hands to replace the loss of the blade of darkness for the moment, rushing back at Chaos.
Chaos dodged the sword easily and kept landing a strike on Chad, who took each hit just to keep fighting back and trying to hit his enemy, eventually going for a completely different program advance. "POWERED CANNON!"
A gigantic blue shoulder equipped gun with a handle for Chad's hand appeared, aiming straight at Chaos. "TWILIGHT SHOT! FIRE!"
His entire aura seemed to, within a second, transfer to the gun, before it fired a massive sphere of energy smashing into Chaos, engulfing him, and causing Chad to slid back from the shockwave.
Within the grey bright ball of energy, as it erupted outwards in an explosion, was a yelling Chaos, presumably from being in complete writhing pain as far as Chad guessed, momentarily feeling better…
Before Chaos came out of the explosion, flying straight at Chad, his coat shredded and torn, his other clothing damaged and ripped, grabbed Chad by the neck and lifting him off the ground, cutting his ability to breathe.
Before he let go, and proceeded to wale on the fused two, smashing him across the chest, stomach, head, arms and legs, not even stopping, clearly enraged himself causing Chad to stumble back with each and every hit before coming to a wall, and was effectively pinned against it, being continuously beaten.
It only ended when Chaos grabbed Chad by the neck again and smashed him into the wall causing a dent, the boy coughing up blood, before he found himself becoming unfused with Darkmega, who appeared on the ground, down and out.
Leaving Chad in his human form, batted and bruised, blood dribbling from his mouth, as he looked to his nemesis. "C…Chaos…"
Chaos smashed him across the face once more, causing Chad to black out.
He dropped the boy to the floor, trying to regain his composure. "It's been awhile since anyone made me feel pain like that before…I clearly underestimated you. Still, where did that come from? The Dark One business? And what was going on with—" He looked over to where Richard was.
Who was now standing, chuckling to himself as he had watched the beating. "Oh how easy it is to play with him, he really is as gullible as 'he' once was so long ago."
"He? What are you talking about?"
"Oh Chaos…You, you were always a thorn in my side, just like Chad there…well, that's expected though isn't it? You're both much more than just enemies."
…The look he gave, that twisted grin of his, Chaos knew he was aware. "How did you…"
"Heh…heheheheheh…" Richard slowly walked around the large room, keeping his eyes on Chaos. "I know what's inside you. I know who you are, where you're from. Who your family is. I even know what you did with your allies…tell me, has Ingrid told Broly you stole his blood from him to use? How does it feel to know Beyondard is trapped in a conflict that Gabriel allows to happen, and you just sit and watch? How does it feel to know one of your children has forgotten who you are, another was stolen from you and your wife, and two are trapped on that war-torn planet with no hope in sight? How does it feel to know your wife was killed whilst you were trying to control what's inside of you!?"
Chaos was stunned into silence. He couldn't answer him.
"See Chaos? I know you. I know everything about you. Poor Chad hm? Poor him…and what about who he replaced? Is he still alive or did he get killed thanks to you working with Ingrid and the others? I know Broly doesn't like him."
"How?" Chaos finally asked.
"Because I've seen it all Chaos…and the First. Both of you, I've seen it all. The beginning, the cycles, the time that we met, those, and now…now we approach what I desire the most."
Chaos turned to him fully now. "And that would be?"
"Why, your end Chaos. All of your family deserve to die for what they are. I'll break them, I'll break them all! Iris will beg me for her life, Trill will be a feast for me, and the other two? ...The other two…" He suddenly threw the Dark Wolf at Chaos, who deflected it with his fist, causing it to embed into the wall next to Chad, before failing to notice one of Richard's claws aimed at him, and fired a bright blue beam of energy, striking Chaos directly in the face, sending him sprawling on the floor. "I'll let them watch it all."
Slowly, all around him, the whole place was fluctuating, causing a strong sense of displacement, everything felt wrong, like the world could collapse all around them, as Chaos got up, his sunglasses having been destroyed by the beam, his red eyes looking to Richard. "Phazon. Impressive. Now—" He notices the distortion. "—what is happening?"
"My desire approaches. The timeline is desperately trying to keep it's stability but we're approaching a moment that I have been waiting for. Something I've wanted all along, waiting and watching all this until now. Now, I can have what I want! You can't stop me! I'm more powerful then you'll ever understand Chaos! I'm above you!"
Richard started to laugh, as the chaotic distortion he created against Trunks form around him like an aura, and soon was laughing like a complete madman, as the aura went into his claws, turning them a twisted purple.
The laughter suddenly ended, as Chaos' fist met with Richard's stomach, him looking completely shocked as he slowly looked down at Chaos. Instantly the purple claws turned back to normal. "W…what…"
"He is made of the very thing that creates a dark soul, a vast amount of that energy actually. The same energy you just unleashed. You clearly didn't do your homework like you just claimed." Chaos looked angry, as he glared right into Richard's face. "Him and I both know now, with what you are and what you know, we can't hold back. We have to stop you, here and now!" With that Chaos landed another blow, right in the middle of Richard's face, making him stumble back as the distortion slowly stopped.
Richard placed his hand over his face, but now was smiling again. "Heh, heheh, I see. You want to save them."
"We both have plans, The First and I." Chaos stood ready with his fists, a golden aura beginning to form around him, whilst a purple one formed around Richard. "And you are not allowed to get in the way."
On Earth V, the battle against the Han was reaching a peak.
For two of the leaders of the northern forces, it would be the last moment they see.
He Jin was riding his horse, looking around the battlefield as he avoided the majority of the confrontation, focused on keeping himself safe.
He saw the enemy forces and their unwillingness to go down, their refusal to yield to the authority of this world, both the outsiders and those kingdoms that opposed him. He never felt anger like this before, the fact they weren't just overwhelming this enemy and coming out on top.
What he next saw made him move swiftly on to another spot of the battlefield. Grievous was cutting a path through the Han troops, still enraged and still looking for Keaton, something He Jin didn't want to get in the middle of at this point.
He slowed down his horse after several dozen meters, content the machine wasn't coming for him, but the voice he heard didn't make him relax any. "He Jin."
He turned to face the person…and there on his own horse, was Cao Cao, his sword ready. "I knew I would find you eventually."
"Cao Cao…the rebel who rallied this rabble to battle the Han empire."
"This was your own doing He Jin. I have always followed you faithfully for many years, but your actions on my return to this world, proved you are no longer that man I once was willingly placing my life down for. You've grown fat, uncaring, distrusting. I have no need for someone like you."
"And you believe you can stop me? You believe you can slay me and my sister?!"
"Your sister, is already dead. I had someone hunt for her, whilst I looked for you…Mephiles!"
In a flash of red, Mephiles appeared next to Cao Cao…there in his hand, held by end of her hair, was the decapitated head of Empress He, her severed neck burnt and charred, showing a heated energy attack removed her mind from the rest of her body. He tossed the head to the floor.
"Thank you. You can return to your lady now. I will settle the matter with He Jin here."
Mephiles understood, and in another flash of chaos control, he was gone.
He Jin stared at the dead face of his sister, before looking to Cao Cao, readying his own sword. "There can only be one answer to this Cao Cao!"
It surprised Cao Cao what He Jin was proposing. He was ready to duel. "The only honorable thing you have done this entire time He Jin!" Cao Cao kicked his horse, and charged.
The first few passing of the blades, sparks flew between them.
By the fourth passing, Cao Cao had to focus on defending himself, He Jin clearly showed he was no actual fighter, but his wild unpredictable swinging at each of the next few attempts showed he was infuriated, and a wild rat cornered can easily kill the cat.
By their twelfth clash of weapons, Cao Cao found himself blocking a strike that carried such force, it made him lose his balance and fall off his horse, onto the muddy ground of the battlefield, on his back, looking like he was in pain from the landing.
He Jin, knowing this was his chance, lept off his horse and quickly moved him, raising his weapon high to bring down and stab into the heart of the Wei Ruler.
But Cao Cao was a trickster. He was only slightly winded, and knowing He Jin would fall for his act waited for this moment, as he quickly sat up and impaled his own sword deep into the stomach of He Jin, who yelled out in agony, struggling to breathe afterwards, as he looked down.
He stumbled back, and fell down onto his backside, looking at the sword within him, panting, his adrenaline causing his blood to flow out from the wound. He soon managed to focus on Cao Cao, who was sitting there, looking at him. "You…you will not win this war Cao Cao…you won't…"
He Jin toppled over, his arms outstretched and his eyes wide, as his breathing slowly came to a stop.
Cao Cao slowly got himself up, and made his way over to He Jin. Making sure he was dead, he checked his pulse, before removing his blooded blade and sheathing it. Bending down, he looked He Jin in the eyes. "I will win, He Jin…but I will not forget your last moments of sudden bravery against the end. You have earned my respect once again." With that, he gave a small bow, before getting up and returning to his horse.
Sun Jian had then ridden up to him, and quickly spotted He Jin. "He is slain?"
"Indeed. With him gone the Han forces will begin to finally collapse. His sister is gone too."
"A good thing too, our men are losing morale the longer this battle lasts. Liu Bei's forces are on the verge of being wiped out."
"Unfortunately, we still have the leader of the Galactic Federation and those of Shadowlaw to deal with. Let us focus on them, and end this before we suffer far more losses then we can accept."
With that, Cao Cao and Sun Jian rode into the depths of the battle once again.
On the southern side, another certain fat man was getting sick and tired of this whole battle, his elite guard keeping him surrounded and safe as he tries to keep watch on what is going on. "Bah, these outsiders are making this whole thing an ugly mess! I'd better think of headed back to my slice of the territory, wait till all this blows over then begin taking over what's left of the Han and the other Kingdoms!"
Dong Zhuo was riding an open top golden carriage, being mobilized by two horses. He was watching as the battle drew closer and closer to his position, noticing his officers were being their usual incompetent selves.
Yuan Shao and the Yellow Turbans certainly didn't help, and nor did those Keybladers and the Hero Base folk. He wished his champion didn't turn on him, and nor did Lu Bu. If he had those around no one would be left standing by now.
What he then noticed was a group of yellow turbans, and a female Keyblader was coming his way. "Grr! Crush them my forces, crush them at once!"
His elite guard lined up before him, and charged towards those coming leaving him exposed.
His men rushed towards the peasants with yellow bandannas, their feeble swords and spears…only, just as they got close, the woman, Aqua, gracefully leapt over their lines…and what was behind her was Serious Sam, carrying two miniguns, grinning like an idiot. "Time to get serious boys!" and opened fire.
Aqua landed behind the rapidly falling troops of Dong Zhuo, and spotted the leader as he grabbed his horses reins to try and make the carriage get moving, clearly knowing when it was time to fold'em.
He forced his horses to turn as quickly as possible to head southwards to Cheng Du. Liu Bei wasn't there and nor were a majority of his men, he could easily make the excuse he was sent there and enjoy a feast before anyone told them he was the enemy.
But as his horses managed to turn around and started to gain speed, he looked up at a sudden shadow over him.
Aqua was above, and as she came down, she swung her Keyblade, unleashing a wave of fire imbued energy, striking between the horses and the reins holding them, burning and snapping them. Aqua landed on her feet just behind the carriage.
The horses sped off with only burnt tails…as Dong Zhuo found his ride grinding to a halt, splinters of wood and fragments of metal breaking apart around him before he was flung out of the seat, forward into the dirt and rolling across the ground, coming to a halt a fair few feet away.
Dong Zhuo felt dizzy for a short while, before getting himself up off the ground, annoyed he was covered in filth, before spotting the approaching Aqua. He gave an evil smile, trying to remain confident. "Well now, a powerful woman indeed. Tell me, what would the price be for me to hire you?"
"You couldn't hire me."
"Come now, I'm sure you have a price. We all have a price my dear…" he looked her up and down. "And with your beauty, I'm sure it would cost me most of my gold, but still affordable."
She didn't slow down until she got right close, pointing her Keyblade at his neck, making him stop talking and start sweating a little. "As I said. You couldn't hire me."
"N-now now. You don't have to kill me. Perhaps instead of gold, we can come to an arrangement hm? Tell me, what is it you desire?"
"…I don't desire anything."
Dong Zhuo gave a little chuckle. "A woman of fine beauty with no desires at all? Don't lie to me. Tell me the truth and I will be able to provide."
What Dong Zhuo didn't hear was the sound of hooves coming up behind Aqua. "I have nothing I want. But I know someone who wants something more than gold and gifts."
"Oh? And what is it do they want?"
Only now does he notice the angry warrior approaching behind Aqua. "Your head." With that, Aqua leapt aside…
As Hua Xiong approached with his spear at the ready, yelling out, and in one thrust, planted it within the head of Dong Zhuo.
Soon the warrior brought his horse back around and approached the briefly twitching body, before yanking his spear out of it, looking over at Aqua. "Impressive work lady Aqua. Were it not for your speed Dong Zhuo would've fled and caused chaos at a later date. I thank you."
"We're on the same side Hua Xiong, don't worry about it. Where's Sam?"
"Right here." Serious Sam answered, as he approached with one of the miniguns. "Just got an update from Yuan Shao. He can't fight off Shadowlaw much more. They're really giving his men a pounding. We need to get his people rallied up or things are gonna fall apart."
"This assholes death should help, right?" Aqua motioned at the corpse of Dong Zhuo.
"It might do, but in honesty, we need to get rid of Xehanort. His been able to make his army hold its own and push back against everyone. If he keeps it up…" Hua Xiong was concerned for the worst-case scenario in his head.
"Don't worry we'll make it." Aqua looked to her com-link. "I know we'll get extra help to turn this around…"
In the state Unicron was on, being nothing more then a severed head, it couldn't possible get anymore worse for the planet eater.
The several new holes created by the sheer power of Chaos and Richard's attacks, leading to even one of the giant horns to break and fall down, proved that otherwise.
"CHAOS SPEAR!" Chaos was heard yelling, and a vast amount of red energy shaped spears appeared all around him and his golden aura, and fired away as a volley towards their target.
Richard, still with his own purple aura, was floating within the room, now using his claws to deflect several of the spears that tried to get him. "PHAZON DRIVE!" was his response, as he aimed his hands and a few of his claws at Chaos, firing a bright blue set of beams, striking and burning a hole in the floor as Chaos easily dodged them then jumped up into the air, smashing Richard across the face, knocking him backwards and crashing into a wall, causing a part of it to collapse into pieces as he seemed to fall with it.
Diamas, Dr Rich and Zasz had all recovered and one point during this battle. They got up to witness a few seconds of the confrontation.
Before Chaos used a blast once again to take them down and knock them out cold. He knew, wanted, to focus solely on Richard.
Now Richard had smashed through the rubble he was briefly buried in, launching up to Chaos, still carrying a mad grin on his face, as they both grabbed one another, floating up in the air. Chaos was trying to crush Richard's skull in with his hands, and Richard had him by the throat, trying to crush his wind pipe.
"Well, this has been quite entertaining Chaos! I never thought you and the First would try and play hero here!"
"We simply have goals that you intend to interfere with Richard! That will not happen!" Chaos began to focus Chaos energy into his hands, heating them up, burning Richard's face, who meanwhile didn't seem fazed by what he was doing.
"Well then Chaos, how about we end your heroic act on a sad sacrifice hm?!"
Chaos had let his guard down, failing to take note of the claws for these seconds had cost him, as he now felt two of them constantly stabbing him in the stomach and torso, as Richard was laughing again.
Chaos couldn't crush his skull, but had one other idea.
With all of his strength, he caused Richard to hear a massive cracking sound…as he suddenly found his neck completely twisted, instantly stopping the stabbing attack on Chaos and falling down to the ground, the purple aura fading away as he landed on his back, near the hole in the center of this place.
Chaos slowly floated down, and landed on his hands and knees, feeling his torso…there was plenty of blood coming out of him, and he could feel a fair few holes as he looked up and over at Richard, his golden aura now fading out. "Chaos control…" he mumbled, a weak red glow surrounded him, and some of the holes started to heal.
He could hear laughter…and more cracking sounds, as Richard was somehow twisting his head back into position. Chaos forced himself to stand and stumble over closer to the Overmind. "Of course, the regenerative properties of the Zerg…"
"Like vampires have, hm Chaos? Maybe the first should let you use that power before you bleed out, heh heh…" Richard slowly forced himself up, sitting upright as he looked to Chaos now standing before him. Behind Richard was the hole into Cybertron, where the now destroyed wires Chaos had once deployed to transform the planet had fallen down into, damage of their battle.
"The First knows I can end this now."
"Oh?" Richard looked at Chaos' eyes, while now blue, his true eye colour, flashed red for a moment. "His let you handle this without holding you back, but still is keeping a leash there just in case. You are quite the prize to him Chaos, I can understand why now, especially the power you carry and contain…shame it doesn't matter. I win."
Without Chaos noticing, two small piles of Zerg veins formed near him, and out of them, appeared Roll, and Anna, both were rendered unconscious.
With their arrival, suddenly, the distortion returned. The feeling of displacement stronger than ever.
Chad started to stir. His com-link was going off. "C—can-...-...-...-...-...-please-..-...-...-...-...-you must not...-...-...-...-...-...-don't look!" Whoever it was, it sounded distorted, scrambled and hard to understand.
Richard had two additional Zerg veins on standby, one tied around Anna, and one around Roll. Both seemingly invisible to the naked eye.
Chad shook his head finally starting to come around, dazed, confused, and sensing the strange distortion around him, whilst the Dark Wolf, thanks to the fighting, laid at his feet. The voice was there again on the com-link. "Don't-...-...-...-...-if you do-...-...-...-will die!"
Richard glanced over and spotted the boy waking. "Yes, it's coming Chaos. It's finally happening!"
Chaos slowly lifted his hand up, aiming it towards Richard's head, and forming within it, was a powerful surge of dark energy, blood red in colour, Richard could sense it was getting stronger and stronger. Chaos was putting most of his energy into this attack. "Then I need to make sure you die. Right here, right now. Goodbye Richard."
"Goodbye, Chaos." Richard gave Chaos a defiant smile, before he looked to Chad on more time, at his eyes and where they were looking.
Chad stared to look around in the midst of this distortion, as it reached its crescendo, a humming sound filling his ears, the room shaking violently, the moment the timeline was ready to diverge as everything fell into place that could create this moment. The voice in the com-link, a woman's voice, was now yelling. "PLEASE-...-...-HE WANTS YOU TO...-...-...-DON'T...-...-...-...-LOOK!"
…And then, Chad looked over.
