Back at New York City, Ellie's band crew headed for a silver limo parked in front. It had a futuristic design with a steel mesh outlook above the diamond shapes. The robotic crew opened the limo's doors and Ellie sat onto her seat in exhaustion. Ellie slowly reached into her belt and the robot driver drove southward until the limo reached into the alley, where it had slowly transformed itself into a cloaking futuristic jet. It flew off high in the sky through quick speed before the city citizens can spot it from below. The jet finally pulled up into the Crete Fortress garage. The driver pressed a blue button that opened a limo door.
After the garage door was shut, Ellie watched the driver and her crew powered down in their capsule position. She put on her roller skates and sped her way out of the garage before entering into the bathroom. After a fifty-minute bath, Ellie walked out in her short-sleeved orange shirt and blue shorts. She sped at the entrance of the living room and skidded for a stop.
"Ladies! Ellie's home!" Ellie announced. She noticed that the whole living room is empty. "Anyone? Hello?" She tossed her skates down with a heavy sigh. "Whatever. This place gets boring every day."
Then, Donna ran up to Ellie with a happy smile. She was now wearing an elbow-sleeved purple shirt and brown shorts.
"Money time." Donna chimed.
Ellie robotically handed Donna the portion of money from her concert.
"Any money-spending ideas?" Ellie asked.
"I'm going to buy herbal remedies with my share of the loot." Donna answered. "That way, I'll have a stash of my homemade potions in no time."
"I still wish you'd invented a robot butler to some cleaning around the fortress." Ellie replied.
"Keep dreaming, Ellie." Donna said as she rolled her eyes.
Donna walked away, but she stopped when Ellie loudly cleared her throat while holding out her hand.
"Oh, right. Sorry, sis." Donna apologized.
Donna handed half of the money to Ellie.
"Thank you." Ellie smiled.
As Donna walked away, Ellie threw herself onto the sofa and grabbed the remote as she turned on the TV in front of her.
"Michelle!"
Ellie immediately sprang from the couch and snapped to an obedient standing pose.
"Hai, mom." Ellie said.
The source of that wise feminine voice belonged to the four mystic kunoichis' sensei and mother, who entered the living room. Her name was Saldana. She has long vibrant black hair and brown eyes. She wore a white qipao dress designed with embroidered golden flowers and white flats. She walked out of the shadows with her hands in her long sleeves.
Saldana approached Ellie.
"Well?" Saldana spoke.
"Oh, right." Ellie said.
With a grin, Ellie snapped her fingers and conjured a brown bag in her hand.
"Here you go, mom." Ellie said.
Ellie handed the bag to Saldana, who pulled out a plastic-covered cheesecake.
"Ahh, red velvet." Saldana noted happily as she stared happily at the sweet treat. "My favorite."
Saldana levitated herself into the dojo, where she sat cross-legged and calmly sipped a cup of tea, so she can enjoy her delicious red velvet cheesecake.
After Saldana hovered out of the living room, Ellie turned on the TV. The news channel came on the screen. She rolled her eyes in boredom just as a news reporter was in the middle of a crime report, which immediately caught her attention.
"Coming up, the vigilantes known as the Nightwatcher and the Night Star strike again." The anchorman reported.
Ellie bounced happily on the couch. She watched as two comments are interviewed by an unseen reporter. A male witness was stating that the crime fighting vigilantes are definitely aliens while a female witness was proclaiming that taking the law into one's own hands is a disgrace. Ellie even remembered having a scrapbook that overflowed with every newspaper clippings on the city's latest vigilantes, but she's more of a fan to the Night Star than the Nightwatcher.
"Now that's what I'm talking about." Ellie smiled. She paid no attention to Donna, who was walking into the living room with an invention in one hand. "Those were the good old days. Busting up crime organizations and fighting the bad guys at every turn. But it was more fun doing it with the Turtles around."
"Ellie, Nightwatcher and Night Star are basically criminals themselves." Donna pointed out. "They are just vigilantes who only operated without limit or rule of the law."
"But, Donna, I'm bored." Ellie complained dramatically. "I mean, I love my concerts. Heck, I love doing it every day. But I still feel that we should do something more than the same old thing all the time."
"Look, Ellie, I get it. But those days are over for us." Donna said. She headed into the kitchen and took a seat at the table to work on her device. "We got to focus on our lives and move on just like the Turtles."
"Yeah, well, she's not the only one who misses all the action."
Ellie and Donna turned their heads to see Ella entering the living room in her red camouflage shirt, red camouflage high waist leggings, and black sneakers.
It's been a few days since Rafaela became a crime fighter Night Star. She has spent her nights as an armored vigilante because she loves combat and becomes irritated for doing nothing, especially during Lee's absence. Even though she often enjoys her motorcycle rides every now and then. She remembered on her first day of the vigilante job when she read the headlines of the newspaper that read "Police Seek Motorcyclist Known As 'Night Star' for Questioning" and "Who is Night Star?" Ella chuckled at the last deadline, loving the name and thinking "Night Star" definitely has a nice ring to it. She felt very pleased with herself at that memory.
"Oh, look what we have here. Another vigilante fan." Donna said in a snarky tone as she rolled her eyes and faced her older sister. "Should've known you would think Night Star is an amazing crime fighting heroine."
Ella rolled her eyes and walked past Donna, heading over to the refrigerator and taking out a can of strawberry soda.
"What's your beef with Night Star, Donna?" Ella questioned. "At least, she doesn't let criminals out there running free through the city like the rest of us."
"That's coming from a girl who works out for boredom while some of us are contributing around here in the fortress." Donna retorted.
Ella finished drinking her strawberry soda and crushed the can with her bare hand.
"Wow, you really are the smart one." Ella said with a sarcastic smirk. "We do call you nerd for a reason."
"Not to mention that your attitude has been a source of separation to this team." Donna countered. "Obviously, a hotheaded girl will only believe fear and brutality are the best way to accomplishment and get things done. But of course, you're obviously wrong."
"Who died and make you leader? If I remember correctly, Lee is still the leader of this team." Ella said. "But since she's not here."
Ella faked a flaming fist Donna as if she was acting like she was going to punch her younger sister, who got up from the chair with glowing purple eyes.
"Bring it!" Donna shouted.
"Rafaela." Saldana scolded as she entered into the kitchen. "That's enough."
"Looks like my point has been made." Ella grinned with a shrug.
"That doesn't prove anything and you know it." Donna snapped.
"Whatever." Ella said as she rolled her eyes and walked away from her brainiac sister.
Donatella and Saldana watched as Rafaela exited the kitchen and headed to the bathroom.
"Why couldn't you send her away to another country and we all be happy?" Donna questioned as she pulled her futuristic high-tech goggle over her eyes.
"Donatella, you need to understand that our home has become like an empty shell. Each of you have strengths and weaknesses, but you must learn to be strong when they are weak." Saldana explained.
Donatella looked up at her mother and then looked down as she knew what Saldana was talking about.
"This family must keep on hope or all will be lost." Saldana continued.
