Lost and Found.

Chapter 5

Cammy pov

I sat in the guest room of Mason's apartment. To say I wasn't comfortable would be an understatement. To be honest, I'd rather be in the lair with the boys. This thought takes me back to what I told Mason. About how I called the boys my big brothers. I couldn't help wondering if, someday, the boys might consider me to be their little sister.

Shell knows I could use a good family. I smile at the thought of having the boys as brothers. The thought was quickly pushed away by a single question. Why would they want me? I groaned as this single thought filled every nook and cranny of my mind. Why would they want me? Who was I to want a place with someone as awesome as them?

I flop back on the bed with a sigh. No, they would never consider me part of their family. They didn't need someone like me messing up their lives. I curl up on the bed, my mind wandering around a bit, aimlessly thinking of random things.

Leo Pov

I have a hard time focusing on training; my mind keeps straying to Cammy. Where was she? Who had let her stay with them? Did they know about us? If not, what did she tell them? I knew I could trust her, but this mysterious stranger letting her stay, I didn't trust….Shell, I didn't even know who he was! OR IF HE WAS, IN FACT, A HE!

As if to prove I am not focused, I lose a spare with Mikey….MIKEY! Splinter sighs as I get to my feet. "Leonardo, you must clear your mind. A ninja must always be focused when in a battle." I nod. "Hai, Sensi…."

Let's just say, training wasn't going well for me today. I tried to clear my mind and focus, but I couldn't stop thinking about Cammy. When training was over I paced the room, waiting for night to fall or, at least, Cammy to call one of our Shellphones. When the call finally did come, I realized that I wasn't the only one worried. One shell rings and all four of us check ours. It was mine, so I put it on speaker.

"Cammy? You okay?" Cammy's voice comes from the other end. "Fine, unless you count the fact I am bored out of my mind." We all sigh in relief. "Have you guys been waiting for me to call or something?" there is laughter in her voice, another good sign. "NO!" We all say at one time, making us guiltier. She starts laughing. "That's sweet, guys, but I'm fine. I'll stop by first chance I get." Donnie speaks up. "Who are you with?" "A guy from school. He's cool, don't worry."

There is a knock on the other end. "Hold on a sec." From the sound of it, Cammy puts the phone down and a guy speaks. "Hey, can I have a word with you?" "Sure, one sec, I'm on the phone with my brothers." "Alright, I'm in the living room when you are done." The four of us smile a bit when Cammy calls us her brothers and even Splinter, who is listening to a little ways away, smiles. "Sorry, boys, got to go. I'll see you soon." It seems Raph couldn't resist. "Alrigh', little sister, but don't be late." She groans and hangs up.

Cammy pov

Oh, gods! They heard the brothers thing?! Well…They seemed to take it well; maybe they picked up on it being my cover story… I can't help hoping that isn't the case. I head out. "Okay, Mason, what did you want to talk about?"
