Chapter 11

I'm so, so, so, so sorry for this wait. I've been working really hard over the last year and haven't had much time to just sit and type. Please, don't kill me! That would put my stories on a permanent hiatus! Okay, that aside, please enjoy this Chapter and know that more is coming as soon as I can get it out. New stories are on hold until I finish a few. Cammy pov

It's been nearly a year since I became a turtle. Leo and the boys insisted I continue training with them. Don reasoned that it would help me adjust to my new body. I was reluctant, but I agreed. It would keep my mind off the fact I wasn't human anymore.

I've noticed though, Mikey, Don, and Raph have been acting oddly the last few months. They constantly try leaving me alone with Leo, making these awkward moments between us. I asked Leo about it, but he seemed just as puzzled by their behavior as me. We both ended up passing it off as the boys being weird.

Raph pov

I'm at my wit's end! These two are useless! Mike, Don, and I have been trying to get them together for months and neither of them even seem aware they're hot for each other! Seriously! Everytime Cam trains with us Leo gets so distracted I pin him down EASILY! And Cam looks at Leo like April looks at those boys in her posters! How can two smart people like them be so freaking clueless!?

I watch the two geeking out over the newest episode of Leo's nerd show, sighing. Don looks where I am. "They'll come around. We just need to think of a better plan. Something to guaranty they notice they like each other." Don hums. "I'll talk to April for ideas. She's chomping at the bit to hook them up too."

I nod. "Good idea, Don. You do that." I grumble. Before anyone can say anything more, one of Don's contraptions goes off, blaring loudly. "That's a mutagen alert!" Don says, jumping up. "Are we sure this time?" asks Leo, grabbing his gear as Cam grabs her mask, tying it on. Ever since Cam got kidnapped we've been much more careful with our hunt. Don spent weeks to fine tune his tools so it would only detect canisters of mutagen. "I'm sure," Don says, grabbing his staff. "Than we're off!" Says Cam excitedly.

We make our way to the surface, jumping across the roofs, following Don to the signal. When we arrive, we spot the canister sitting on a crate. Leo stops us. "This is too easy." He murmurs. We nod and Cam pulls out a shuriken, throwing it at the crate, careful not to hit the canister. There's a thunk in the wood and a net springs out from under the crate. "A net trap? Really?" Cam chuckles as we jump down. The second we touch the ground the five of us are yanked into the air and huddled together. "Okay, two net traps...Clever." She blushes at her mistake.

I try to cut the net with my sais, but the rope is tough. "Well, thank you, Cammy." Says a boy's voice, making us all look towards it. "Sorry for the theatrics. Didn't know how else to draw you out." A boy steps out of the shadows, smirking. "H-Hey! You're that guy who let me hide out at his place." Cam says.

We yelp as the net drops all of us a bit roughly. We groan, shakily getting up. The guy looks us over, his eyes widening as he sees Leo helping Cam to her feet. "Let you...Wait, Cammy?!" He asks in shock. "W-Wow, t-the..um..year has changed you.." He says, stunned. "That it has. What do you want?"

The guy composes himself. "I was trying to talk to them to find you, but I guess I don't need to ask them where you are now...Cammy, we need to talk...In private, please?" he nods to the side. Leo tenses as Cam moves to go with him. "H-hang on!" He says, grabbing her arm. "He could work for the foot or something." He says. Cam rolls her eyes. "And if he is, I'll kick his shell and call for you."

Don pov

We watch Cam go with the guy and the two start talking. I glance at Leo and notice him glaring at the guy. I follow his gaze, nudging Raph, who does the same. He smirks "Don't get jealous, oh fearless leader." He chuckles. "She'd never be into a guy like him. We're way cooler." Leo blushes. "I-I'm not jealous! There's nothing to be jealous of! She's free to go out with anyone she wants." He says quickly, not looking at us. I sigh, shaking my head.

Cammy comes back over with the boy at her side. "He's going to help us find a cure." was all she said. She wasn't looking at us. She grabs the canister. "Come on. Let's go home." She jumps up, ignoring Leo. "Cammy?! Hey, wait for a second!" Leo jumps after Cammy, leaving me and Raph confused where we stood...What..just happened?
