Chapter 2

Remembering

Galvatron walked down the corridor with his report in his hand. A group of mechs and femmes who were chatting about their plans for today saw him. They smiled and one said 'good morning' to him.

Galvatron replied back and walked on. It was strange, its only been 6 years since the war ended but he found himself still getting used to Cybertronians not running away, shooting at him or looking at him with fear. A lot has changed in such a short amount of time.

He stood outside his brother's office and banged on the door.

"Come in". A voice soon said. Galvatron pushed the button next to the door. It opened and he walked in.

Optimus sat at his desk typing fast with a serious look on his face as if he was trying to do multiple things at once. He didn't even seem to acknowledge Galvatron when he approached his desk and dropped the report on it.

Galvatron rolled his eyes. He had to get his attention. "Little spark..."

Optimus instantly stopped what he was doing and looked up. That nickname always got his attention. It had been so long since he heard it. It makes him feel happy whenever his brother calls him that.

"Ah, Galvatron forgive me. I was..."

" Busy, yeah I can see that". The ex-Decepticon warlord sat, putting one leg over his knee and folded his arms against his chest. "My report on the last mission as you requested".

Optimus took it and quickly skim-read the details. He looked up. "They've gotten bolder in their attacks"

Galvatron agreed. " The Horrors are getting braver and their attacks more frequent, its troubling"

Optimus agreed but he did comment on the good side. "You did good work, thanks for your help out there".

"No problem, it was a good fight. Couldn't deny I slightly enjoyed it"

Optimus rolled his eyes. "That's one thing you never changed. Your love for fighting".

Galvatron just laughed slightly. "You can't change everything about me. I did a lot of change to end the war but I can't help but love a good fight". He smirked.

Optimus smiled a little and just went back to typing. Security, entertainment, maintenance, research, medical and human connections etc of Haven were all asking for new recruits and equipment. Optimus was trying to get the recourses for them but some had to wait. Most of his typing was writing apologies and promising they'll get their resources some day.

He wanted to spend what recourses they had on getting their Outposts working on Cybertron and making sure they were safe.

"Will build more defenses at the sights. I would like Outpost 4 to be up and running again"

"Hmm, understood but I would like more volunteers to train to protect these sights. Can you send me a list of recruits"

The Prime nodded. "Will do, as soon as I get these done".

"Spark you need to take a break from all that typing". His optics eyed the leads connecting to his brother's computer.

"I'll rest when I finish this"

His older brother had other ideas. He was fed up with him cooped up in here. Whenever someone is looking for him he I always at his desk typing. Suddenly he yanked the wires out. Optimus computer quickly died.

The Prime looked up fast in shock seeing his brother holding the wire with a smug look on his face.

"Ahh! Why you do that!"

"You need a break"

"You ass! I was busy with emails!"

"Forget bloody emails. Primus! you've been glued to that screen for what seems like days!"

"Don't exaggerate"

"Then follow me"

"No!"

Galvatron folded his arms "Come on Spark don't make me drag you out of this room. It'll be most embarrassing for everyone to see that"

"Grrr fine!" He stood up fast and followed his annoying brother.

...

"Where we going?"

"To the Space Bridge. I'm going to have us transported somewhere"

"Where?"

"Somewhere on Earth"

They entered the control room. Galvatron told Optimus to wait as went to speak to Red Alert who was in charge of the Space Bridge. Optimus leaned against the wall waiting. He didn't hear where they were going and he wondered what his brother was planning.

Soon the Space bridge lit up brightly down below. Red Alert gave Galvatron the thumbs up. "Your good to go"

He thanked him and went back to his young brother. "Follow me"

Optimus followed leaving the control room and walking down the stairs to the portal. He kept wondering where they were going.

The brothers stepped through the portal and instantly arrived on earth, somewhere cold and white everywhere.

"Galvatron?"

"Where in New Zealand, the Southern Alps to be exact, and we're going to have some fun here"

"Fun here? "Optimus looked at the white wasteland before them. No animals were even around it was just white snow, everything with blowing winds and huge white mountains.

"How can we, ahhh!" He cried out as something hit his face and he fell, crashing to the cold ground. He groaned holding his face before sitting up. He moved his hand away and watched as snow dropped from his fingers. He looked up seeing Galvatron tossing what looked like a giant snowball up and down in the air and grinning. "Did you just!"

Galvatron threw the snowball. Optimus just got up in time to dodge it and crashed to the ground rolling and got up again.

"Its called a snowball fight. Carlos told me about it, I thought it be good for you to have fun"

"I must remember to thank him for telling you"

"Your just sore cause I surprised you"

"Well, you won't do it again" He bent down fast quickly making his own snowball.

Galvatron bent down to make his quick. He threw again but Optimus charged at him instead and did a flip over his and fired his fast at his brother which hit his chest.

He staggered back slightly but smiled. "Game on then".

The two brothers fought for what seemed like hours, firing snowballs back and forth.

Sometime later they lay in the snow together looking up at the bright sun.

Optimus laughed. He had a lot of fun and really enjoyed himself.

"You know 6 years ago I would never have thought I'll be playing snowball fights with you"

"I feel the same way...did you have fun"

"Yes thank you, Galvatron"

"Just trying to make you loosen up a little"

They were quiet for a while just staring up at the sky together.

Optimus was first to finally speak."Hmm...Megatron I..."

Galvatron cut him off before he could say any more. "Optimus! Megatron is dead, Nemesis Prime killed him". He looked away from him.

"I can't help it. Megatron was the name I knew you as"

"And its the name everyone knows as the evil tyrant. Who fought the Autobots for millions of years. I don't want to hear that name again. With this new body and name of mine, I have a chance to make everyone see I am good. Galvatron did less damage in the war. I can still make everyone not fear that name".

Optimus leaned closer and held his arm. "You have done a lot already. You should be proud of what you have accomplished"

He looked back at Optimus. It's true he has accomplished a lot but part of him felt it still wasn't enough to make him for what he did.

He didn't want to upset his brother by saying what he really felt so he smiled slightly. "If you are proud of me that makes me happy"

Optimus smiled at him before he leaned back looking up it was good to relax and just have some fun for a change. Suddenly he heard a noise. Galvatron sat up it was his comlink. He brought his arm near his face and pressed the glowing button on. "Galvatron here"

He was quiet for a few moments and he whispered something. Then he looked down at his brother. "I have to go"

"Already?"

"This is an appointment I can't miss"

"Ok let's go"

The two were transported back. Galvatron said he'll meet up with him later.

Galvatron went to his own room to grab something special. The canister. He went back to the space bridge portal room. He knew he didn't have to wait long for his guest to arrive.

"Hey, Galvatron!"

He looked down seeing Alexia dressed up in space suit holding her own canters. She smiled but Galvatron saw even with wearing the gear she looked pale.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine"

"If you're not up to it..."

"No please! I want to do this. I never miss it and I am not starting now"

It was clear to everyone that Alexia and her friends did not make it out of Unicron fully ok. Galvatron and the others were transformers they could handle being in his mind but at the end of the day, Unicron was a godlike being. When he went into their minds he damaged them slightly. Like he left a bruise in their brains.

They were lucky it wasn't too bad. The children problems mostly consisted of headaches, migraines, and nosebleeds. No doctor could explain why they keep getting them but it always happens and they all get it every month at the same time. Alexia once said her migraine was so bad she left as if someone was crushing her head.

The Hunter leader leaned down placing his hand out for her. She quickly jumped on and was raised up. He looked up at the control room and Red Alert gave nodded.

Galvatron stepped through.

He arrived holding Alexia as he walked on the moon heading to the very special spot. He looked to his left looking at the planet Earth. He suddenly had memories of all the battles he fought there for the Mini-cons but he quickly he pushed those thoughts away as it was only painful to think about.

Alexia sat holding her canister tightly as they neared their destination. He gave a little smile. She was happy and sad that she was here.

There it stood. A Statue of the fallen one. Starscream. The statue had him in a pose, sword raised high in the air and smiling. His statue had crystals around him glowing brightly. Each crystal shaped like a flower which glowed in different colors. Some very small, human size while others were the size of a car, Galvatron had his special made each year for this event.

When things first settle down in Haven. Alexia proposed this idea that they make this tribute to Starscream every year. Galvatron agreed as he was very much still upset over the loss of him. He had this statue built 6 years ago.

Alexia spoke. "It's always strange coming here. I'm so happy to see him again. The statue is life like but it makes me so sad too"

Galvatron didn't say anything but he did clutch his necklace tightly.

He placed her down gently and she soon opened her can. Her tiny flower sparkled as she placed it gentle near him. "Hope you like this one Starscream. Its blue"

Galvatron now opened his. He looked up at the statue. "Starscream I'm always thinking of you and what you tried to do. Your words burned into me that day, do you remember? "

His mind suddenly flashed back to that moment. Looking down as his Star saber which pierced right through Starscream chest. He was angry and refused to listen to the stupid fool.

"Save your breath Starscream"

But the seeker kept speaking he wanted him to listen to him for once. "I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was ever good enough. No matter how many battles I fought. You always found fault. Then I saw how Optimus treated his men and I realized he was a leader of integrity. Unlike you"

After Starscream begged him to join with Optimus to stop Unicron. His very last words were. "Please sir, do it for me". Then he gave him his very last smile.

Then horror of his death played out in his mind. He shut his eyes wishing the memory to go away. A tear slipped from one of his optics.

He changed because of Starscream. He swore he will always be the leader he wanted and he will do everything in his power to make things right again. Cause he will! Do it for him!

"Galvatron?"

He snapped out of his deep thought cause of her voice. He quickly placed his own glowing flower down and stood back watching it glow with the others.

"You think he likes this?"

"I think he does and I think he would have liked what you have become Galvatron"

The hunter leader sat down now with her in his hand again in silence. They looked up at Starscream together and Galvatron hoped he was happy with all he did and hoped maybe he could forgive him wherever he is.

Hi guys hope this was worth the wait. I'm sorry it took a while to do, I can only work on stuff during weekends cause of work. Wanted to have some fun and sad moments in this chapter.
