A/N: I'm back! Sorry it took so long, but I finally finished Episode 2 of the Saiyan Warrior of Hope Saga, as I like to call this fine piece of work. Now then, two days ago, I saw some crazy raw power from the apparent transformation and power from Toppo. That had me thinking, "What if it went like that during the fight against Black and Zamasu, let alone Fused Zamasu?" Only problem is, I'm torn between the characters I like. We can settle this with a vote and I'll see what I can work out for the continuity. Who would be the perfect candidate? Yurei or Android 21? you can vote in the review box. There may be a good chance that this chapter may make less sense to you, so bear with me as I am trying to help it make as much sense as possible. Anyhoo, enjoy. "Hope! Redux: Awaken in the Present, Trunks"
Chapter 1
Narrator: "Previously on 'Dragon Ball Super'..."
Chi-Chi started a sort of countdown for the race.
"Ready..!"
Then, both Goten and Chi-Chi started the race in unison.
"Go!"
At that moment, Goku and Piccolo dashed over the lettuces, picking them off one by one with their hands.
Narrator: "While Goku's friends and family enjoyed a rare time of peace in their reality, in his alternate future timeline, the sword-wielding Trunks was facing a mysterious new threat far worse than the androids, or Cell. A threat that had once again pushed mankind to the very brink of extinction. Trunks journeyed across the shattered landscape to reach his mother and Android 21, who both had spent the last year working desperately in a hidden lab creating a fuel that they hoped would save their world."
The mysterious enemy was shrouded in smoke as his red, menacing eyes glowed and his fist clutched onto Future Bulma's shirt as she stifled. 21 grew fearful while Trunks was determined to save her.
"Oh, no.", gasped 21.
Before Future Trunks could proceed, Future Bulma halted him.
"Trunks, don't!", shouted Future Bulma.
Her scared voice had both Future Trunks and 21 gravely concerned for her as the silver-Blue-eyed stranger looked on.
"Be strong! You two have to go!", urged Future Bulma.
"What? No!", shouted 21.
"You two have to!", Future Bulma urged once more.
"Bulma, are you insane? We can't just leave you here!", 21 shouted back.
Then, just as the enemy prepared to fire an energy blast, causing Future Trunks and 21 to brace themselves, the silver-blue eyed stranger shot down through the ceiling hole, surrounded by a lightning bolt and struck the enemy by the cheek with his fist, not only causing him to release his grip on Future Bulma's shirt, but also knocking him back to the wall as he shot it at a different direction near the two, causing the whole building to explode as he quickly grabbed Future Bulma and shielded her. Then, just as both Future Trunks and 21 landed on the ground hard, the stranger, surrounded by a blue, godly aura, emerged from the smoke and landed right behind the two before they stood up to notice the stranger setting Future Bulma down safely to the ground, although she quickly stood up after the stranger did. Soon, Future Trunks and 21 stood up as well, surprised looks and smiled on their faces as the stranger slowly turned around on his left and glared at Trunks and 21 with his silver-blue eyes.
Narrator: "This mysterious enemy destroyed the lab, but before he could take the life of future Bulma, a mysterious blue-haired man with Sapphire eyes intervened and rescued her from death's wake while Trunks could only watch."
Future Trunks backed off for a safe distance before lightning struck near 4 feet within him before the lightning encircled around the mysterious enemy, his glowing, red eyes showing through the massive bolt, causing Future Trunks to look up in alarm before Black attempted to strike hard only for Future Trunks to clash with his sword to prevent him from landing a hit, only for his sword to quickly splinter from its hem, knocking him back to ground level before Black went up into the air, still shrouded by the lightning encircling him. Future Mai got out her gun and fired three times before Black fired a Ki blast straight toward her, catching the blue haired stranger's attention and causing his eyes to shimmer a silver tiny to his blue eyes. Future Mai looked in alarm as Black's Ki Blast hurtled straight toward her.
Narrator: "Then..."
"Aah!"
However, before it could strike her, lightning hurtled down toward the ground and struck it 5 feet in front of Future Mai, who shielded her eyes, deflecting the Ki Blast toward a nearby building, causing it to explode. A few moments after, Future Mai lowered her arms and saw the same man who saved Future Bulma earlier this afternoon. Future Trunks was surprised to see that as well and had to head off after her as the blue, godly aura dissipated, revealing a red-haired man, sporting the same Gi Goku wore once when he fought Golden Frieza in the present timeline.
Narrator: "Future Mai was the next Damsel in Distress to be spared from Black's wrath by the mysterious Saiyan."
"Mai!", shouted Future Trunks.
Future Mai overheard him and ran to him.
"Oh, Trunks!"
Then, the two friends hugged each other. "Are you alright?", asked Future Trunks.
Then, Future Mai pointed to the red-haired man as she answered.
"I am now, thanks to him."
Future Trunks looked up to see the red-haired man before he turned around to notice Future Trunks, revealed to have normal black eyes. Future Trunks spoke to him.
"Hey! You're the one that saved my mom earlier, and Mai, too, right?"
The man answered.
"Yeah. It looks that way."
Future Trunks spoke further as the stranger walked toward the two friends.
"Th-thanks! Who are you?", Future Trunks questioned.
The stranger's eyes met Future Trunks' despite the heavy rain.
"I'm Yurei.", he answered.
Then, as the enemy landed firmly on top of the broken car, he spoke.
"Too symbolic."
That caught Yurei's attention as the silver tint on his eyes glimmers again for only a second before his eyes returned to normal.
"If you ask me, that makes me want to vomit.", Black retorted.
Then, Yurei called Black out as he yelled.
"Come out! Show yourself, Black!"
Then, lightning struck hard on the ground behind the car, clearing away the fog that was created by the explosion, the fire of which was quickly doused. Then, after a
moment, Black was revealed to be in a black Gi with a black undershirt, a gray overshirt, and a red sash on his waist. What's more, his face and voice looked and sounded
exactly like Goku, save for the green potara earring on his left ear as lightning struck behind Black again.
Narrator: "So, who is this ruthless enemy that Trunks calls Black?"
Future Trunks tensed as Yurei walked closer to Black a good four steps as they spoke to each other.
"It's about time, Saiyan."
"You're looking for me?", questioned Yurei.
Then, Black turned to completely face Yurei in front of him.
"You've been running around making messes for too long, and now, I'm going to choke the life from you.", stated Black.
Then, Yurei got in the same stance as Goku from when he first fought Vegeta.
"That's not gonna happen!", Yurei announced.
Black, however, only smirked and scoffed at that response.
"Hmph. I can't wait to watch you die."
Then, lightning struck behind Black again.
Outside, on a dark and stormy night, 21 and Trunks' cat have already found Majin Buu's seal, still closed. 21 blinked her eyes a few times in surprise as Trunks' cat meowed in amazement.
"Can't believe we actually found it!", 21 whispered under her breath.
Then, she shook her head a bit, cleared her throat, and focused on the task at hand, before speaking.
"Okay. We just need to find out why Majin Buu hadn't woken up yet, and wake him up, if we can. If we can pull this off, although that's a pretty big 'if', we can have Majin Buu by our side, but only by his choice, nothing else."
21 then spoke further as she carefully slid down the muddy crater toward the center of it, holding Trunks' cat above her head.
"After all, we could use the extra help against Black."
After that, she then set the brown cat down and slowly walked up to the front of the seal, before looking down to notice that the meter, with the gauge pointing to a black 'M', otherwise known as the Majin Emblem, was already full, yet it is not reacting wildly, yet.
"Hmm? That's funny. The meter should be full, meaning Majin Buu should be able to reach his full power, by now, but, so far, nothing happened.", 21 puzzled.
Then, Trunks' cat, due to its natural curiosity, stuck its paw into the hole where the energy usually gets transferred, causing a sort of red button to open up beneath the meter, catching her attention and striking her fancy as she gave a sort of surprising look and glanced with a smile back at the cat.
"Oh. You actually found another button. Good work.", she said to the cat.
Trunks' cat meowed in reply before walking up to her and then climbing up to her left shoulder before it meowed and licked her cheek, earning 21's laughter.
"Hehehe. Take it easy, alright?", 21 giggled.
Trunks' cat then meowed in response again before it stopped and 21 composed herself from the laughter, before looking at the red button below the energy meter before looking back to the cat in her left shoulder.
"So, if the meter's full, but he isn't awake yet, then that must be the button that could wake up Majin Buu.", 21 hypothesized.
Trunks' cat meowed confusingly, stating, without actually speaking, that it does not know before 21 looked back and took a deep breath.
"Alright. Here goes nothing.", 21 said cautiously. Then, 21 pushed the button, causing the once black Majin Emblem to flash white and black, earning her gasp of surprise just before the needle started shaking a bit back and forth, in-between the center of the big 'M'.
Play Kai Music: "Deceptive Appearance"
"What's happening?", 21 asked surprisingly.
Then, pink smoke began puffing out from the cracks of the seal on four directions, one of which blew towards 21 just after Trunks' cat hopped off her left shoulder. The cat looked back, meowing in worry quickly. Little did it know that within that smoke, 21 would go through an insightful transformation.
Inside the pink smoke, 21 began to have a weird feeling.
"Wh-what?" 21 couldn't help but notice a shimmering glow at the center of her body, surprising her.
"What's going on?!"
That was when her transformation started, that is, behind the smoke. The light had shone past through the smoke.
Meanwhile, Trunks' cat meowed in surprise in response to the light shining brightly.
Unfortunately, however, it caught Black's attention, as it did Future Trunks, Yurei's, and Future Mai's.
"Huh?"
"What the?", said Future Trunks.
"Hm? Where is that light coming from?", Goku Black questioned.
Meanwhile, the cat meowed questioningly a moment after the bright light dimmed down and before the pink smoke subsided, revealing that 21 had undergone a transformation, revealing new ones as well. Her skin was no longer white, nor her shaggy hair brown, but instead pink-colored skin and snow-white hair. She now also wears baggy, white pants with a small golden belt that perfectly goes around her waist and even has the same shape and her shoes are now black with golden covers, as well as a big golden ring around her neck and two smaller rings around each wrist. Not to mention pointy ears that are half as pointy as Piccolo's. The only things that hadn't changed about her were her eyes and her mind, apart from her golden earrings and black fingernails. That was proven when the newly-transformed 21, shook her head, moving a bit of her hair away from her face, and opening her eyes, revealed to be just the same as she spoke.
"Okay. That was a bit weird.", 21 said, slightly puzzled.
End Kai Music: "Deceptive Appearance"
21 then quickly snapped out of her stupor and looked down to notice that her chest is now twice as big and bouncy, not to mention bare, save for the black crop top, covering it, before noticing her baggy, white pants, pink skin, and most surprising of all, her long tail. Then, she looked at her reflection from the meter.
"Wh-what?! H-how did I turn into some sort of a-a pink monster girl?", 21 said in surprise, checking out her tail as she moves it.
Trunks' cat meows in astonishment a few seconds before 21 started walking toward it, worrying it. Then, when she stopped at a certain distance, she only knelt down to the cat and carefully placed her fingers on the cat's chin, reassuring it. The cat meowed questioningly, looking up at the now different 21.
"It's okay, little guy. I'm not gonna eat you.", 21 calmly assured before her stomach growled, making her blush in embarrassment. "Although, I am kinda hungry. Either way, you're in good hands."
The cat smiled as it meowed before it crawled back on top of 21's left shoulder and licked her in the cheek, tickling her again. The female Majin then turned to the cat on her shoulder.
"See? You didn't need to worry. I may have changed on the outside, but inside, I'm the same as ever."
Suddenly, the seal cracked open into two separate pieces, tipping down to the ground from opposite sides, catching 21's attention.
"Speaking of inside and outside, looks like Majin Buu's being released.", 21 guessed.
Then, the pink smoke began to lift up into the air and accumulate closely to each other.
Play Battle of Gods Music: "Beerus' Wrath" A.K.A. "Bil's Wrath"
Then, 21 and Trunks' cat, wait anxiously as the pink smokes form into a cloud.
"Looks like this is it."
Trunks' cat meowed nervously as it cuddled with 21's black crop top. Then, eventually, as lightning lit up the skies, the pink cloud formed into a pink, fat being, with a purple cape, a black vest, yellow gloves and boots, no nose, a pink antennae on the top of his head, and white, baggy pants, baring silly eyes and mouth.
End Battle of Gods Music: "Beerus' Wrath" A.K.A. "Bil's Wrath"
"Buuuuuuuuuuuuu!", cried out the pink, fat blob.
21 and Trunks' cat gave looks of confusion.
"Huh?"
Play Super Music: "The Fatso Waltz"
Then, Future Majin Buu landed firmly on the ground with his feet, in front of 21 and the cat, who both looked up to see him.
"Uh, hi?", greeted 21.
Future Buu then waved to 21, and noticed a sort of vexing similarity.
"Hello. You look like Buu!"
That statement puzzled 21.
"Huh?", puzzled 21.
Then, 21 looked at herself again and remembered.
"Oh. Indeed. We're matching in pink.", the female Majin stated as she pushed her breasts upward with her elbows while also cradling the cat.
Future Majin Buu grew curious about the word.
"Matching? What that? It taste good?"
21 explained further as she petted Trunks' cat further.
"Hmm, well, think of matching as being proof of our friendship. People show their friendship by wearing similar outfits, for example. They match."
Future Majin Buu pieces it together and smiled.
"Oh... So you Buu's friend then!", Future Majin Buu guessed.
21 giggled as Trunks' cat tried to dry itself on her black crop top.
"Ha ha, I suppose I am.", answered 21.
Future Majin Buu leapt into the air and excitement and landed on the ground.
"Yay! Because you Buu's friend, Buu give you special candy!", Future Majin Buu shouted as he then lifted his antennae and fired it at a single rain drop, seemingly turning it into a strawberry-flavored macaron, which was actually made out of thin air and landed on 21's hands, much to her delightful surprise.
"Uh, thank you very much.", 21 said.
Then, she ate the macaron with joyful abandon and slurped her tongue.
"Hey, that actually wasn't bad. In fact, I don't even feel hungry anymore. Thanks, Buu.", grinned 21.
Future Buu simply smiled at her as he put his fists on the sides on his belly.
"You welcome!"
End Super Music: "The Fatso Waltz"
Then, Future Buu noticed the cat on 21's arms as it meowed.
"Huh? What that?"
21 noticed Future Buu's puzzlement.
"Oh. This? That's a cat. Don't worry, though. It doesn't mean any harm. Besides, it's actually kind of cute.", 21 answered.
Trunks' cat gave a happy meow in reply before Future Buu understood that.
"Ohh. Buu can give candy to cat, too!", Future Buu stated.
Then, 21 turned to notice that Black has shown himself when lightning struck, catching her attention.
Play Kai Music: "Evil Wizard"
"W-Wait! This is no time to be eating candy!", 21 urged.
Future Buu grew confused at this remark.
"What, you no like candy?", Future Buu questioned.
21 knew better and had to explain.
"Er, no, it's not that... How 'bout this, let's hold off on the candy for now and eat it once all the fighting is over! We can gather a lot of candy and throw a party."
Future Buu seemed joyful of the idea.
"Candy party? That sound nice!", the excited Buu said.
21 understood that and knew what needed to be done to help Future Trunks, Future Bulma, and Future Mai travel to the past 17 years ago.
"Right? For now, though, I think we better deal with Black."
Future Majin Buu grew curious about Black.
"Black? Who that?", Future Buu asked.
21 at least had to answer that as simply as she could.
"Oh. Well, Black is a bad guy who's wrecking up the whole city. Right now, I plan on going with Trunks to the past to get some help and come back here to defeat Black.", 21 answered honestly.
Future Buu then understood this and walked over to her side.
"Okay!", Future Buu grinned.
21 gave a grin of embarrassment.
"I guess it wasn't a mistake to release him after all.", 21 said.
Trunks' cat meowed as 21 noticed her glasses near her shirt from when she was human, well, as human as she can get, being an android and what not, and picked them up.
"Well, I'm gonna at least keep these if I want anybody to recognize me.", 21 guessed as she put her glasses back on before picking Trunks' cat up.
Then, 21 turned to Future Majin Buu and then over to Capsule Corp.
"So, let's focus on the fight for now.", 21 stated as she emitted a white aura and quickly flew toward Capsule Corp.
"Buu understand. Buu beat all bad guys!", Future Buu said as he flew after 21, following her to Capsule Corp.
Eventually, 21, Trunks' cat, and Future Majin Buu arrived at Capsule Corp. 21 turned to Future Buu and spoke after they landed in the backyard.
"We'll have to get in quietly. If we get too loud, Black will hear us. Got it?", 21 whispered.
"Mm-hmm.", Future Buu replied.
Then, 21, Trunks' cat, and Future Buu quietly went inside and noticed Future Bulma.
"Hey, Bulma.", 21 greeted.
Future Bulma couldn't believe that 21 actually did it, let alone go through a transformation.
"21! Y-you actually released Majin Buu?", Future Bulma questioned.
"Well, yeah, but don't worry. He's harmless as long as we don't make him mad.", 21 answered.
Future Bulma felt that her sudden change of appearance is another matter.
"Yeah, but what happened to you, 21? Why are you all pink? And what's with the tail?", Future Bulma asked.
21 giggled nervously as her tail swung up and down.
"Yeah, about that, Bulma. It's kind of a long story. It's not really bad, though. I'm still me, aren't I?", 21 assured Bulma as she cradled her bust and bounced it up a little.
That was when a familiar voice rang out.
"Indeed, you are, 21. Although I didn't think that releasing Majin Buu can transform you like this."
Future Bulma, Future Buu, and 21 turned to the source of the voice and noticed that it was none other than...
"16.", 21 said. "Glad to see that you're back from the lab."
16 walked down the staircase and closer to Future Bulma as he explained further about why 21 was turned into a female Majin.
"21, I've done some research on your cells, and I've found a surprising, yet equally disturbing reason behind your connection to Majin Buu.", 16 stated.
21 asked curiously. "What's that?"
"The reason behind this connection," stated 16, "is due to the amount of cells from fighters all over the earth, even ones we did not expect, being placed inside your body during your creation. You had Majin Buu's cells in your body as well, but up till now, you remained human, because the cells, along with Majin Buu, were dormant. However, when you awakened him from his slumber, you've also awakened the same cells as well, transforming your body and allowing certain traits from other cells to be alerted and rise to the surface, making you the ultimate fighter you are now."
End Kai Music: "Evil Wizard"
21 was quite intrigued about it, to say the least. "Oh, wow. So, now that Majin Buu is awake, I'm gonna be stuck like this?", 21 asked.
"Not necessarily.", answered the mohawk-haired, green-armored Android. "Like Saiyans, you can revert your transformation and decrease your power level. In short, you should be able to transform in and out of your true form at will."
21 was quite puzzled. "Wh-what?"
"Try it for yourself.", 16 suggested.
21 knew where he was getting at and took a deep breath. With little but a second after, her body began to glow brightly up to the point where it is very bright, before it dimmed down, revealing that 21 is now back to normal, even wearing her normal clothes and lab coat from before. She even had her glasses back on. When 21 opened her eyes, she walked up to the reflection of the Time Machine and noticed it. She simply couldn't believe it.
"H-Hey. It actually worked. I'm back to normal, now.", 21 stated surprisingly.
She then turned to 16.
"Thank you, 16.", 21 said.
16, then gave a smile.
"You are welcome.", the green-suited Android said.
As confusing as things went, Future Bulma snapped out of her stupor and decided to focus on the task at hand.
"Maybe, you're right, 16. Still, though, we have to wait by the Time Machine until Trunks gets there.", Future Bulma stated.
21 nodded as Future Buu quietly hummed and hopped down the staircase, over to where Future Bulma is.
Outside, Future Trunks, Future Mai, and Yurei were outside in the heavy rain, facing Goku Black. Future Trunks, concerned for Future Mai, turned to her.
"You need to go inside and wait with Mom, Mai. I'll join you later.", Future Trunks urged.
Future Mai nodded before she made a run for it only to catch Black's attention.
"You can't run from me, mortal.", Black stated as he prepared a dark, yellow Ki Blast and fired it at Future Mai, only for Yurei to detect what he's trying to pull as his eyes give off a silver tint on the irises and deflected the Ki Blast up into the stormy sky before lightning struck the blast, detonating it.
Black only gave a short growl in response as Future Mai looked toward Future Trunks near the entrance while Yurei, the spiky, purple-red-haired Saiyan, landed firmly on the ground next to Future Trunks as his silver eyes changed back to a normal black color.
"Trunks, promise me you'll survive.", Future Mai said.
Then, Future Trunks turned to Future Mai and grinned as he answered. "Don't worry, Mai. I will. I promise."
Future Mai smiled as she nodded before heading inside, earning another growl from Black.
"Finish your goodbyes, Saiyan. They're a waste of time.", Black calmly shouted.
Future Trunks only tensed in response before Goku Black spoke further.
"After all, you're going to be joining her soon. The both of you."
Yurei spoke back to Black in response.
"That's where you're wrong."
"Hmm?", Black questioned as Future Trunks looked back at Capsule Corp. and then forward on his right on another side where Black is while having thoughts to himself as the heavy rain pelted the city.
"The building's still standing. He must not know about the time machine. I can start it up before he realizes. I just have to play this right."
Yurei, however, read Future Trunks' mind through telepathy and guessed what his plan is and then grunted as he nodded before Black spoke as he descended from the pile of broken cars and landed firmly on the ground, facing Future Trunks and Yurei.
"Hmm. Funny. You two have no chance of victory. Yet, you continue this resistance, knowing full well you can't win. You Saiyans are so fascinating in your flaws.", Black complimented.
Play Kai Music: "Let it Burn"
Yurei felt slightly unsure about it as heavy rain continued to fall on the stormy cloud as lightning struck once just a few seconds before Black spoke.
"Well, there's some good news.", Yurei responded.
"Don't you see I'm helping you?", Black questioned.
"Soon, you two'll be with her and the other creatures you love."
Yurei widened his eyes in surprise in response.
"What?!"
Goku Black laughed in reaction to Yurei's.
"If you two had any sense, you'd both know your deaths are a mercy for you and this world.", Black answered.
Yurei, however, was very, very mad at that answer.
"You're crazy! Not a chance!", Yurei shouted.
Then, Yurei began to bellow and raise his voice as he emitted a small white aura, before he yelled out, transforming into his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, changing his hair and eyes to blue color, surprising Future Trunks, who was quite confused, and Goku Black, was shocked at first, but then, quickly became eager as his evil smile and chuckle return.
"Magnificent! So, this is a Saiyan warrior, clad with the power of a God!", Black stated in his excitement.
Yurei glared at Black angrily as he spoke.
"If you think for one second you can lay your hand on Trunks, Bulma, Mai, 21, or even 16, well, guess what..."
Yurei then returned to his battle pose as he finishes.
"You've got another thing coming, Black! My Super Saaiyan Blue form will make sure of that!"
Black only chuckled in response to that proclamation.
"I'd like to see you and your friend try to stop me.", Black sneered.
Future Trunks then snapped out of his confusion as he went Super Saiyan 2, and yelled out as he did so, earning another chuckle from the menacing lookalike of Goku.
Yurei then turned to Future Trunks and went over the plan with him.
"Okay, Trunks. We all know you have to survive and save this world. So, here's what we're gonna do. I make the first move, and then you attack him from there. Eventually, I may have to use my Galick Gun on him, and when I do, you have to hurry back inside that building with the fuel and go. Got any of that?"
Future Trunks nodded as he answered.
"Y-Yes!"
"Okay! Let's hit him hard fast and make it count!", shouted Yurei.
Yurei yelled out as he punched Black in the gut, earning his dark laughter before Yurei quickly backed away, giving Future Trunks enough space to begin fighting him. He then tried to sweep-kick Goku Black, only for him to block it with his arm, two times for two arms. Black then punched Future Trunks in the gut, sending him backward before quickly recovered and leapt back up, pushing his hand against the ground. That was when, Black kicked Future Trunks on the side, making him cough out some saliva as he was pushed back before Black charged toward him and tried to attack again. Fortunately, Future Trunks blocked Black's punch and kick and several more like them. However, it was only when Black tried to kick Future Trunks that he connected the kick and sent Future Trunks flying toward a wall and charged toward him for another kick before he wound up getting his leg caught by Yurei, his sapphire eyes showing through, shocking him once more.
"Wh-What the?!", shouted Black.
Then, Yurei spun Black around and tossed him upward into the air before Black quickly recovered and quickly fired multiple Ki Blasts at Yurei, only for his Sapphire eyes to glow before his body unconsciously deflected the dark Ki Blasts toward random spots where explosions occurred practically everywhere, although they were quickly doused after even one second as Goku Black looked on in surprise at Yurei, whose eyes reverted back to normal Blue while Future Trunks weakly got off the wall and then stood right back up, causing Yurei to turn to him, worried.
"Are you okay, Trunks?", Yurei asked.
"Y-Yeah. I think I can manage.", answers Future Trunks. "But how did you do that, Yurei?"
Yurei turned to Future Trunks and answered.
"Well, let's just say I've gone through some stunning development about Super Saiyans and what they're really capable of before I came here to Earth."
Black over heard this and was very, very surprised, that is, just as much as Future Trunks.
"So, you mean you were off-world?", asked Future Trunks.
Yurei nodded in response to his question as Black looked on with pure shock.
"What?! This Saiyan was not even from Earth?! How can this be possible?!", Black thought to himself.
Yurei then spoke to Black.
"What? That all you've got?"
Black then responded after descending a few feet, although still in midair much farther from the ground.
"I was about to ask you the same thing. Considering you and Trunks represent the end of your proud warrior race together, this is rather very entertaining for me, boy."
Yurei smirked at Black from that response.
"Glad you liked it.", Yurei said.
Black held out his right hand and spoke further.
"Alas, you and I both know this stalemate cannot last forever."
At that moment, Black began to form a dark Ki Blast, which started out small for a second before it grew to its full size, and prepared to launch it as Yurei glanced back at his right hand and held it out.
"It's been nice knowing you, Saiyan.", Black said to the blue-haired Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.
Then, Yurei tensed as he glared at Black before his hand formed a light blue Ki Blast and clutched it, causing it to coat his right hand with Blue energy and give off tremendous power. Goku Black bellowed as he was about to launch it before Yurei yelled out as he quickly propelled his fist diagonally upward, shooting out a line of blue energy, catching Black off-guard before he barely dodged it and have his own dark Ki Blast done in by Yurei's simple punch and was forced to descend to ground level.
"Enough!", Black said to Yurei.
Yurei smirked at Black before responding.
"I couldn't agree more."
Then, Yurei got in a similar stance as Vegeta when he prepares his first signature attack, surprising Goku Black as he widened his eyes.
"What the?", Black only managed to say.
"GALICK GUN!", Yurei roared as he fired it toward Black, who guarded against it with his arms crossed, causing the smokescreen to rise up, before Yurei turned to Future Trunks.
"Go, Trunks! Now!", shouted Yurei.
Future Trunks, as confused as he was, nodded after one second as he responded before he dashed off into the building.
"All right! Thank you!"
As Future Trunks went inside posthaste, Goku Black brushed off the smoke and found Yurei, but no sign of Future Trunks anywhere.
"Where did you scurry off to, now?", Black asked himself before Yurei caught his attention.
"Hey, Black! Your fight's with me now. Got it?"
Goku Black snarled at the blue-haired Super Saiyan before angrily responding.
"You would do well to hold your tongue in the presence of a God, mortal!"
Black then emitted a black aura following his response.
End Kai Music: "Let it Burn"
Back at Capsule Corp., 21 noticed Future Trunks as he went further down the stairs, limping.
"Trunks!", 21 shouted.
She then ran to Future Trunks as did Future Mai and Future Bulma.
"Talk to me, son. Are you okay?", Future Bulma worriedly asked her son.
"Y-Yeah, Mom. I'm fine.", Future Trunks answered. "That guy, who saved you and Mai back there, he managed to cushion the blows for me, but somehow, he can also turn blue and counter Black's moves like they're nothing."
21 was quite impressed while Future Mai found it slightly understandable.
"Wow! That's amazing!", 21 shouted with glee.
"I guess that explains how he was able to save me and Bulma back there.", Future Mai guessed.
16 found it just as hard to believe.
"This is unprecedented. I've never seen someone this strong against Black over the course of the year since he arrived.", 16 stated.
Future Trunks remembered the name of his new form.
"If I remember correctly, his name was Yurei and he named this blue form 'Super Saiyan Blue'.", Future Trunks added.
Future Bulma felt that it sounded too simple.
"Really? 'Super Saiyan Blue' sounds a bit too plain if it's that strong.", Future Bulma critiqued.
Future Trunks stammered a bit before asking.
"Maybe, but what would you call it, Mom?"
"I'll think about it some other time. Right now, we have to go to the past to get some more reinforcements."
Future Trunks nodded as he responded.
"Yeah, I think you're right."
Future Majin Buu voiced his childish, yet fun-loving opinion.
"Whoopie! Buu wanna fight that guy now!"
Future Trunks grew puzzled at the sight of him.
"H-Huuhhhh?!"
21 turned to Future Trunks and guessed that Future Trunks hadn't seen the guy for sometime and that this is his first time seeing him.
"Oh, right. I forgot to introduce you to him. Trunks, this is Majin Buu. Majin Buu, this is Trunks."
Future Trunks grew puzzled but had to at least greet him, anyway.
"Um, hi?"
Future Majin Buu, however, was not hesitant on saying hi.
"Hello!"
Future Trunks turned to 21 and seemed to question whether or not that is Future Majin Buu.
"Uh, 21, are you sure this is Majin Buu?", asked Future Trunks.
"Of course it's him, Trunks. 16, tell him."
16 then responded as he walked over near Future Trunks.
"That is Majin Buu. The data is infallible.", 16 stated.
Future Trunks turned to 21 as she smirked.
"See? He may not look it, but he's definitely the one. Just don't do anything to make him mad, okay?"
That gave Future Trunks cause for concern.
"Uhh.."
That was when 16 had to get everyone back on board with the Time Machine.
"Time is of the essence! We must board the Time machine and travel 17 years in the past to get assistance against Goku Black!", 16 urged.
A minute later, Future Trunks was already fueling the Time Machine as he opened the Black cover, revealing the Blue energy before turning it to the right and then inserting the canister inside the time machine, to start up. As it did so, Future Trunks turned to Future Bulma, Future Mai, and 21.
"You know, you three can go if you like. I'm sure it has enough space for at least four people.", Future Trunks suggested.
Eventually, Future Trunks was slightly proven wrong as Future Bulma, Future Mai, and 21 were practically squished together, their busts touching each other, although, thankfully not at the top of Future Trunks' seat. Otherwise, things would be very awkward for him. Future Bulma had a slight objection.
"It has enough space for four people, huh?", questioned Future Bulma.
"Not that I'm one to complain, Trunks, but the space isn't big enough.", Future Mai concurred.
"Hey, at least, we all fit in here. Just barely, though. I mean, apart from the fact that our boobies would be touching each other during this one-way trip, we should be fine.", 21 assured Future Bulma and Future Mai.
Future Trunks then tensed in pain, causing the three passengers to worry.
Future Bulma and Future Mai were the first to notice while 21 got puzzled.
"Are you sure you're okay, son?", asked Future Bulma.
"Yeah, it seemed like that fight was a bit too much for you.", concurred Future Mai.
Future Trunks only managed to pull a grin before he answered.
"Hey, don't worry. I can manage, at least until we leave."
He then remembered the other two outside the Time Machine and looked toward Android 16 and Future Majin Buu.
"Oh, wait. What about you two?", Future Trunks asked before 16 responded.
"There is no need to worry, Trunks. Black will be unable to detect my energy, and I will watch over Majin Buu until your return."
Future Trunks found it assuring.
"Alright. Thank you, 16.", Future Trunks said, smiling.
Play Super Music: "Inescapable Fear"
He then began setting the coordinates, getting the Time Machine ready with it already at 59% capacity before the lid closed as Future Trunks worked more on setting it up. Then, the Time Machine began to puff out smoke from the engine before he looked up at the ceiling.
Meanwhile, Yurei was punching Black before he sweep kicked him in the face before he dashed to the other side and kicked him upwards from behind before he vanished and got in front of the opponent before slamming him in the back with two fists holding onto each other. He then turned to the Capsule Corp. building and thought to himself.
"Darn it, Trunks. What's taking you so long?"
Back inside, Future Trunks was just putting in the finishing touches to start up the Time Machine.
"Come on, Trunks. Are we ready to go or not?", Future Bulma urged with worry.
Then, the rotating blades on the Time Machine began spinning before 16 smiled with Future Majin Buu already smiling.
"Let's go.", Future Trunks said.
Then, as the Time Machine started lifting off, 16 and Future Majin Buu said their farewells.
"Farewell, Trunks! I hope you find the assistance you seek!", 16 shouted.
"Buu see you soon! Bye bye!", Future Buu shouted.
Then, Future Trunks pushed his hand up on the stick and flew upwards quickly, breaking through the ceiling and catching Goku Black's attention.
"What?", Black said.
Then, to Yurei's relief, Future Trunks was already leaving, but with Future Bulma, Future Mai, and 21 in tow. In fact, he even smiled.
"Heh. Took you long enough.", Yurei said with a smile.
Future Trunks then glanced at Goku Black, with which they responded to each other.
"See ya soon, Black."
"Ha! You really think that little ship will keep you and your friends safe from me?"
Goku Black then began preparing a Kamehameha that glowed bright indigo, but the center of it was completely Black on the inside. As Black charged this attack, Yurei knew that they might be in danger.
"I won't let you kill them, Black!", shouted Yurei.
Then, Yurei's blue, godly aura appeared again before he dashed toward the Time Machine as Black was close to destroying it.
"It's over, Trunks!", shouted Goku Black.
Then, Black shot his aptly named Black Kamehameha toward the Time Machine only for Yurei to get in front of it and open his eyes, revealing that they are glowing completely blue before the beam split into four different directions, away from the Time Machine, much to Black's shock.
"What?!", Black reacted.
That was right after that that the Time Machine, vanished as lightning struck one of the split beams in the pounding rain, infuriating Black as Yurei's eyes became normal blue eyes in Super Saiyan Blue form again.
"Hiding again?", Black said to himself.
Then, Black began to emit a small version of his dark aura as he thought to himself.
"Not for long."
However, Yurei only smirked as Black tried to sense Future Trunks' energy, but failed.
"He's not here.", Black said. "He's completely vanished."
Yurei then spoke to Black, causing him to turn forwards.
"Good luck finding them. No matter how many times you try to find them, you'll end up plum out of luck."
Goku Black snarled at Yurei before yelling.
"You insolent Saiyan scum! I demand you to tell me where Trunks and his friends are right now!", Black shouted.
Yurei still kept his composure, despite Goku Black's ever-surging fury.
"If you want to find Trunks and the others that badly...", Yurei said.
He then raised his right hand close to him and lifted his fingers in an ascending order, revealing a Time Ring, similar to Goku Black's only it was colored the same as his current hair color, much to Goku Black's shock.
"What the?!"
"You'll just have to catch me first.", Yurei stated before he began to vanish quickly as well.
Black became further agitated when he tried to sense his energy but had no luck with him either.
"Blast it all! Not him, too!"
End Super Music: "Inescapable Fear"
Meanwhile, during the trip to 17 years in the past, thought back to what he was told by Future Bulma and Future Mai as he stifled in pain.
"That means seeing this through, no matter what happens. Even if we sacrifice everything to succeed. You're the last hope we've got son. It's all up to you."
Future Mai gave the canister to Future Trunks as she gave her reason. "Stop trying to save me and think! I have to stay here, not you! You're the best chance that we've got! You have to survive!"
"Mom, Mai, your sacrifices bought me this one-way trip. I won't waste it. I can't!"
Then, suddenly, Future Trunks passed out as his head landed on the top of the radar, worrying Future Bulma as Future Mai gasped.
"Oh, no. Trunks!", Future Bulma shouted.
21 noticed the predicament and stated what really went on.
"Don't worry. He's only unconscious. But, we have to help him recover when we get there just to be on the safe side.", 21 assured.
Future Bulma found it assuring just as she found a pulse from his son.
"Oh, what a relief.", sighed Future Bulma before Future Mai gave Future Trunks her best wishes.
"Just hang in there, Trunks. You can survive. You will. You have to."
21 then suggested an idea.
"We could all use some sleep. It might take long before we get there anyway.", 21 suggested.
Then, the three girls nodded and yawned and went to sleep with the unconscious Future Trunks laying on the top of the meter while Future Bulma, Future Mai, and 21 leaning back as they sleep as well with their busts on top of the chair Future Trunks was sitting in.
Outside the Timeflow, the Time Machine was unsuspectedly followed by Yurei in his Super Saiyan Blue form, at which point, he sped up toward it and grabbed one of its engines to arrive in secret. Yurei thought to himself as he held on to the engine.
"Whoever is out there, I hope there's someone who can hold up against Black. The fate of the universe in my time depends on it."
In the present, Trunks, Mai, Shou, and Pilaf were at school learning math from their schoolteacher at Capsule Corp.
"All right, now for our final question.", said the teacher.
She had just finished writing the equal symbol next to the equation on the chalkboard that states "1000 - 900 X 0.5" before turning to the students.
"What is 1,000 minus 900 multiplied by 0.5?", asked the teacher before turning to Trunks. "Why don't you solve this one for us, Trunks?"
That made Trunks practically quiver like mad in surprise, due to the apparent difficulty on the matter.
"Eeh! Why do you have to give me the hard one?", asked Trunks.
He then tried to solve it on paper, working out the answer.
"Let's see. A thousand minus 900 is 100, so that would be..."
Then, Pilaf butted in and saw that what Trunks was thinking to get the answer was not the right way.
"No, you goofball, you're doing it wrong! Don't you remember your Order of Operations? You 'X' before you minus!"
Trunks was quite surprised about it.
"What? Are you sure?"
Then, Pilaf explained as he seemingly appeared on TV in his business suit, holding a hand-painted cup for advertising.
"Let's say that you have a thousand zeni and want to buy this beautifully-crafted, hand-painted drinking cup for the manufacturer's suggested retail price at 900 zeni. But you go to the Pilaf Shopping Network where we're offering a stunning 50% discount. Then, you would multiply 0.5 X 900. Hehehe. Not by how much money you have, silly."
Trunks was quite confused about it as Pilaf explained further while also getting out a fan, his beef bowl, and his Pilaf Dessert.
"Uh..."
"That means this cup can be yours for the jaw-dropping price of 450 zeni. And 1,000 minus 450 is 550, meaning if you act now, you can have this gorgeous piece of ceramic treasure for yourself and still have 550 leftover, so what are you waiting for? Act now and use those savings to buy my allnew Pilaf-brand Beef Bowl! Or my super dragon fruity Pilaf Dessert! And that, my friends, is how you do math with style."
As Rose petals blew over in front of Pilaf, Trunks, Shou, and Mai gasped, impressed at how he quickly explained the equation, as nonsensical as it is somewhat hilarious and helpful before Pilaf was shown with the kabuki paint on his face and holding his right hand out.
"What do you think about that, teacher-lady?", Pilaf asked.
The schoolteacher's face did not change, although she had seen thus far that he was actually right, despite how he explains things.
"Well, it wasn't actually your turn. And your explanation was a little bizzare and hard to follow, but the arithmetic itself was perfectly correct.", answered the schoolteacher.
Both Trunks, Shou, and Mai "Ooh'd" as they clapped.
"That was awesome, dude! Way to kick some math butt!", Trunks complimented.
Pilaf was quite proud of himself as he laughed.
"My mind is a mountain standing firm against the crashing waves of boredom!"
Pilaf was comically shown standing on top of a mountain with the waves crashing on the rock from behind him, a moment before the clock chimes, cueing recess time.
"All right, that does it for this session. What do you say we head over to the cafeteria and have ourselves some lunch?", the schoolteacher said.
Trunks, Pilaf, Shou, and Mai all "Hip, Hip, Hooray'd" in unison.
"Yay!"
A few minutes later, Trunks, Pilaf, Shou, and Mai were at the hallway, heading for the cafeteria.
"Trunks, my boy, we owe you a ton! We've got quite the life here! It's like being an emperor without all the work!", Pilaf said.
Mai felt the same way, but also had another reason.
"Yeah, no kidding. You're like, my favorite person, now!"
Trunks halted his steps and got surprised in response as he turned to Mai, who continued speaking.
"You said we could crash here, but I didn't think you really meant it, you know?"
Trunks simply blushed as he responded.
"Yeah. You seemed like you were having a rough time, and we have the space."
Mai winked one of her eyes as she responded.
"Well, thank you. You sure are a great guy."
Trunks continued blushing as he responded again and decided that they have to get to the cafeteria quickly.
"Sure. It was nothing. So... anyway, let's go-I'm starving!"
Trunks then grabbed Mai's hand quickly and dragged her along with him as they quickly headed to the cafeteria while Mai was a bit puzzled, but felt that they needed to anyway.
"Uh, yeah-uh, okay!"
Shou and Mai were quite astonished about Trunks grabbing Mai's hand like that.
"Whoa, he just straight-up grabbed her hand, sire!", Shou shouted.
"Bold move! Who would've thought he was such a lady killer?!", Pilaf shouted next.
Meanwhile, inside the timeflow, Yurei was growing weary, knowing that Black will soon locate Future Trunks and his friends and family and hunt them down.
"Oh, come on! How much longer until we arrive in the past?", Yurei said to himself as he held on to one of the Time Machine's engines.
That was when Yurei's blue Time Ring flashed a blue, sparkling glow, catching his attention.
"Huh?"
The blue Time Ring then shot out a tiny bright blue beam and created a cat-slit-eye-shaped portal, revealing Capsule Corp. in the present where Trunks, Mai, Shou, and the schoolteacher were eating lunch. Yurei sighed in relief and grinned as he saw the portal in front of him and the Time Machine.
"I guess this is our stop."
Back at the present, they were enjoying their lunch when Trunks sensed something amiss, catching even the schoolteacher's attention.
"Uh?"
"What is it, Trunks? Is something wrong?", asked Trunks' teacher.
"I'm not sure.", Trunks responded.
Pilaf, Shou, and Mai were equally curious.
"Huh?"
Trunks was pondering what it is that he sensed when a spiral of blue stars that seem to be going in instead of out appeared, causing the wind to blow the trees toward the direction of the spiral, although they're not being sucked in. Trunks grew surprised from seeing that. After a few seconds, a big, bright blue, cat-slit-eye-shaped portal appeared with the Time Machine emerging three seconds after that, surprising Trunks, Mai, Pilaf, and Shou, although the schoolteacher was more surprised as she fell backward to the ground and shrieked. Then, Yurei turned back to the portal and grunted as he held out his hand with the blue Time Ring in one of his fingers before it flashed, closing the bright blue portal instantly before the Time Machine landed.
Trunks then flew toward the Time Machine, surprising the schoolteacher.
"Oh, my!"
As Trunks took a look, Yurei, having hid himself well, took a look at the younger Trunks.
"Wait. Isn't that Trunks... from the past?", Yurei asked himself.
Trunks then brushed aside the dirt on the seal on the ship and noticed not only Future Trunks, but also Future Bulma, Future Mai, and most puzzling of all, Android 21. Trunks widened his eyes from seeing this.
"Hey! There's people in there!", Trunks shouted.
Pilaf, Shou, and Mai spoke their surprise in unison.
"Say what?"
Inside the Time Machine, 21 was the first to wake up and notice that they have already arrived.
"H-Huh? We're already here?", 21 drowsily asked.
She then knew that Future Bulma and Future Mai have to know that they arrived in the past.
"Oh, that's right! Bulma, Mai, wake up! We're here!"
Future Bulma and Future Mai woke up from 21's loud voice, getting a bit sore from how loud her voice was as Trunks grew surprised that 21 mentioned Bulma and Mai's name.
"Huh?! Did she just say 'Bulma' and 'Mai'?!"
Future Bulma was even cradling her head as she slightly reprimanded 21.
"Hey, what's the big idea?!"
Future Mai had the same problem, only she was more calm, as mad as she is.
"Yeah, 21. You're almost as loud as Bulma."
21 felt embarrassed about it and had to explain.
"Sorry to wake you up like that, guys, but you might want to take a look outside.", 21 suggested.
That puzzled both Future Bulma and Future Mai.
"What do you mean?", Future Mai asked.
"Does that mean we've actually arrived in the past?", Future Bulma questioned, just before the conversation outside the Time Machine went on.
"Careful! It could be aliens! I'm talking tentacles!", Pilaf shouted.
"Yeah. Don't you think we should call your dad?", Mai suggested.
"Guys, relax. I can take care of these measly aliens!", Trunks assured Mai.
Inside the Time Machine, Future Bulma felt visibly peeved.
"Oh, come on! We're not aliens!"
21 turned to Future Bulma.
"Relax, Bulma. That just means he doesn't know us quite well yet. So, that means we actually did arrive in the past.", 21 said.
Outside, the schoolteacher pointed to one of the Time Machine's engines.
"But, look, there's writing! On those engine things! I don't think an alien spaceship would say 'Capsule Corporation'!", the schoolteacher said.
Trunks gasped in surprise upon turning to notice "Capsule Corp." on one of the engines.
"Whoa, how did I miss that? I had no idea we built any kind of spaceship like this.", Trunks responded.
That was when Yurei flew off from one of the engines and showed himself to Trunks as he responded.
"You'd be surprised on what Capsule Corporation can do in the future, Trunks. Speaking of, that's where I'm from."
Trunks shouted in surprise from seeing him.
"Who the heck are you, and how do you even know my name?!", Trunks shouted.
Yurei felt that Trunks has a lot of questions and that there are only so much questions that Yurei could answer one at a time.
"Oh, right. Look, I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but right now, I can only answer one as of right now. My name is Yurei, and I'm a Saiyan from Planet Sadala of Universe 7."
Trunks was in awe from the answer while in the Time Machine, Future Bulma, Future Mai, and Android 21 were surprised to see that Yurei had already shown up here.
"What the heck?! How did Yurei get here?!", shouted Future Bulma.
Future Mai did have a guess on that at least.
"He must've stowed away on the Time Machine. But how? He saved us from Black earlier."
Then, it showed a flashback from when they started going back to the past.
"I won't let you kill them, Black!", shouted Yurei.
Then, Yurei's blue, godly aura appeared again before he dashed toward the Time Machine as Black was close to destroying it.
"It's over, Trunks!", shouted Goku Black.

"Maybe there's an explanation for this.", 21 stated.
Future Bulma got curious.

21 turned to Future Bulma and Future Mai as she explained the answer.
"Mai, you noticed a silver ring on one of Black's fingers, right?"
"Uh, yeah, 21. Why?"
"Because Yurei had a ring just like that, only his was colored blue. From what I can tell right now, Yurei, a living embodiment of good, and Black, a personification of evil, are
total opposites. If Yurei got that far with us, I think it's safe to assume that his ring is what helped him travel through time with us in the first place.", 21 hypothesized.
Future Mai and Future Bulma understood that now.
"Oh."
"Heh. Who would've guessed. A special ring capable of traveling through time.", Future Bulma said.
Outside the Time Machine, Yurei knew that the best thing to do would be to get help for Future Trunks as fast as possible.
"Trunks, you should probably get help for the pilot in this ship and fast.", Yurei suggested.
Trunks nodded and then turned to Pilaf, Shou, Mai, and his teacher.
"Someone get my mom!", Trunks shouted.
Pilaf turned to Shou and suggested that he does it.
"You heard him, Shou! What are you waiting for?"
"What? Why do I have to go?", Shou complained.
"'Cause you're a dog, remember? So, you can run faster. Now git!", Pilaf shouted to his henchman.
Shou then began running on all fours, giving at least one complaint on the way.
"Maybe a young pup, sure, but I can't fetch like I used to!"
Later, Bulma, in her new lab coat with a green shirt on, was already dashing out on her red hover scooter with Shou falling a bit behind. When she got outside, she not only
noticed a Time Machine that has the word "HOPE!", but also a purple-red-spiky-haired Saiyan named Yurei from Planet Sadala of Universe 7 in the future. Bulma was
surprised to see him.
"What?! You're kidding, right? You're actually a Saiyan from Planet Sadala of Universe 7?!", Bulma stated.
Yurei nodded as he answered.
"From the future, yes. But I didn't come alone. If anything, I came with them."
Bulma reached her hand out and placed it on the engine, surprise visible in her eyes.
"It can't be.", Bulma gasped.
Trunks felt that Bulma, her mother, would know.
"Do you know what this thing is?", asked Trunks.
"I have an idea.", stated Bulma. "You can see inside, right? The unconscious pilot- does he have blue hair?"
Trunks checked in there and noticed that the unconscious pilot did, in fact, have blue hair much to his surprise as he nodded.
"Mhmm. How'd you know that?", asked Trunks.
Bulma only responded with what they needed to do at the moment.
"Let's get him out, now!"
Yurei came up with the best way to open the Time Machine's door quickly.
"Yeah, yeah. I got it."
Yurei then gently tapped on the Time Machine's engine with the back of his fist two times before the door opened up, surprising, Bulma, Trunks, Pilaf, Shou, Mai, the
schoolteacher, Future Bulma, Future Mai, and Android 21 altogether. Only Trunks and Bulma were able to utter their surprise.
"Y-You just opened it like that?", Trunks asked.
"But how?", Bulma puzzled.
Yurei turned to Bulma and Trunks and responded as he unfastened Future Trunks' seatbelt and picked him up before leaving the Time Machine as Future Bulma, Future Mai,
and Android 21 exit the Time Machine.
"I'm sorry, Bulma, nghh, but a magician never reveals his secrets."
A few minutes later, Future Trunks was laid on a portable hospital bed with a blanket on top of him in the fancy patio where everyone is, even Android 21, next to the present
Bulma, who is adjacent to the present Trunks and Future Bulma, who was in the other side of the bed. The present Bulma spoke to his unconscious son from the future while
Yurei leaned his back against one of the poles of the fancy patio.
"Hang in there, sweetie. I'll go call Vegeta, okay?", Bulma said.
Yurei grew puzzled at the mention of Vegeta's name as Android 21 checked for pulses from Future Trunks.
"Wait. Did she just say Vegeta? I guess there's a lot more going on here than I even know right now."
21 sighed in relief before standing up.
"Good news. He's still breathing.", 21 assured the present Bulma.
Bulma sighed in relief and stood up before turning to 21.
"Oh, what a relief.", Bulma said.
Future Bulma found that somewhat familiar as she responded.
"That's odd. That's just what I said on our way here."
21 knew that Future Trunks has to recover quickly so that he can get some help against Black.
"Maybe, but we have to try to help him recover as quickly as we can.", 21 stated.
Bulma nodded before the schoolteacher spoke.
"Should we take him to the infirmary, Ma'am?"
Bulma, however, had a much better plan in mind.
"No, I've got a better idea."
She then got on her red hover scooter and sped off back inside the building while both Shou and Mai were puzzled.
"Hey, I don't get it. Why's she calling Vegeta?", Shou asked.
Mai had the same question as well.
"Yeah, good question. What does all this have to do with him?"
Yurei knew the answer but didn't quite know how to break it to them.
"Well, you see, it's a bit more complicated than you think."
Pilaf then came up with a thought and got extremely surprised.
"No way!", Pilaf shouted. "Could this be the secret, scandalous love-child they had way back before they settled down?!"
Yurei grew puzzled at Pilaf's assumption and knew better.
"What? No, that's not like that at all.", Yurei rebuffed.
Trunks was already shocked enough as it is as Mai spoke next.
"You have a brother?", Mai asked.
Trunks' shock began to sink in as Mai spoke further.
"Whoa. Talk about drama! He does look like you. Actually, he looks just like you."
Yurei knew the real reason and spoke it out.
"Well, he should, because this Trunks that's unconscious right now, that's the Trunks from the future."
Trunks was now shocked and surprised.
"What?! Are you kidding me?!", Trunks shouted in surprise before stammering.
Future Mai grinned as she responded to Trunks before turning to her younger self and Pilaf and Shou.
"Yep, that's true, little Trunks, and I'm you from the future."
Then, as expected, the Pilaf gang grew surprised.
"Say whaaaaaaat?!", the Pilaf gang said altogether.
Chapter 2
Bulma frantically checked through every junk drawer as she panicked.
"Come on, where did it go? It's gotta be in here somewhere! How could I misplace something so important?! I could've sworn it was in that junk drawer! Or is it in this junk drawer? Why do I have so many junk drawers?!"
Then, Bulma gasped as she finally found the communicator Whis made for her.
"Gotcha!", she said.
Bulma then tried to call Whis as she sped off on her red hover scooter once more.
"Whis, are you there? It's Bulma! Please pick up, Whis! I really need to talk to you!"
Meanwhile, at Beerus' world, Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Whis just finished their ramen.
"Gahh, I'm about to burst!", said Beerus. "That was rather tasty. Thank you."
Goku responded to Beerus' gratitude in his own usual way.
"You bet!"
Vegeta felt peeved about that.
"I'm the one who brought the ramen!"
Beerus then had to lay out future plans for food next time they visit.
"Bring a new flavor next time. I want to try them all."
Suddenly, Whis' staff began ringing and flashing blue, prompting him to answer the call.
"Whis, here! May I help you?", said Whis.
Then, Whis' staff showed Bulma at Capsule Corporation with a worry on her face.
"It worked! Oh, thank goodness."
Whis then spoke to Bulma.
"Hi, Bulma!", greeted Whis. "It would appear the communicator I gave you is being put to good use already. Are you calling to invite us to another feast?"
Bulma felt like she was misunderstood.
"What?!"
"Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate how much you spoil us. Unfortunately, we just finished a most lavish meal, so we'll have to take a rain check."
Bulma then stated that that is not why she called.
"It's not why I called! I need to talk to Vegeta. Is he nearby?"
Vegeta overheard that and knew that something big had to be going on, as did Goku.
"What?"
"What's wrong, Bulma?", Goku asked.
Bulma found some relief from knowing that they are here.
"Oh, thank goodness. You're with him too, Goku. That's perfect."
Beerus quickly became annoyed.
"What do you want? We didn't give you that communicator just so you can prattle on with your hubbie."
Bulma only yelled back angrily in response, surprising both Beerus and Whis as they covered their ears.
"I didn't call to prattle! It's an emergency! Put him on now!"
Vegeta wanted to know what is going on.
"What's going on?"
Back on Earth, Bulma arrived at where Future Bulma, Future Mai, Android 21, Future Trunks, Yurei, Trunks, Mai, Pilaf, Shou, and the schoolteacher are, halted her hover scooter, and showed Goku and Vegeta the problem.
"Can you see this on your screen? It's Trunks. He just showed up and he's in bad shape!"
Vegeta was surprised.
"He's come back?!"
Goku was surprised as well.
"Whoa, no way!"
Beerus and Whis were curious as to what is going on.
Meanwhile, on Earth, the present Mai was confused.
"Um, okay is everyone as confused as me?"
Yurei had to reiterate.
"Ugh. Look. I just told you that this is the Trunks from the future you're looking at. Otherwise, you wouldn't see Bulma or Mai from the Future right now.", Yurei stated.
Trunks grew just as confused as Mai.
"Oh, wow. That's a lot to take in."
Yurei turned to Trunks and knew that he probably needed answers.
"I know it is, but as soon as the future you wakes up, we'll explain everything, and then, it'll all make sense."
Meanwhile, back at Beerus' world, Goku and Vegeta saw his condition.
"He looks like he's in some real trouble.", Goku stated.
"Do you have any Senzu Beans on you, Goku?", Bulma asked.
Goku did not actually have any at the moment.
"No, sorry. I've been out for a while."
"Then use Instant Transmission to go to Korin's place and get some.", Vegeta suggested.
Goku doesn't have any luck with that either.
"I can't. We're too far away Earth for me to pick up Korin's energy."
Vegeta had an idea they can try.
"Then, first, we'll just travel to Earth."
Vegeta turned to Bulma.
"Bulma, is Trunks there? I mean not the older one, the younger one. Is he there with you?"
Bulma answered meanwhile back on Earth as Trunks and the Pilaf Gang were watching.
"Yes. He's right here."
Vegeta then relayed his idea to Bulma.
"Have him raise his energy as high as he can."
Bulma nodded and then turned to Trunks.
"Understood. Did you hear that, Trunks? We need you to go outside and Charge up as much as you can."
Trunks understood that as he nodded.
"Right."
Yurei, having watched what was going on, grinned.
"Looks like he might understand faster than I expected.", Yurei said.
Then, Trunks went outside and went Super Saiyan, surprising his teacher as he yelled out louder.
21, however, was impressed.
"What the? He had that much power the whole time?! This is nuts!", 21 shouted with a grin.
Meanwhile, on Beerus' world, Goku sensed Trunks' energy.
"There! I've got a lock on it."
Beerus and Whis stated their thoughts.
"Sounds like something interesting is happening.", Beerus said. "Maybe we should tag along."
"Yes, I agree, my lord. We can eat dinner there later, as well.", Whis concurred.
Goku turned to Beerus and Whis and spoke his idea to them and Vegeta.
"Okay, everyone, for this to work, you'll all need to be touching me."
Then, Beerus, Whis, and Vegeta put their hands on Goku.
"Here we go!", proclaimed Goku.
Then, Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Whis vanished from Beerus' world and appeared back on Earth before Trunks reverted back to normal.
"Dad!", Trunks said as he ran to Vegeta, who then responded.
"Good work! Where is he?"
To answer Vegeta's question, 21 shouted from the direction she was facing and waved.
"Vegeta! Over here!", shouted Bulma.
"You have to hurry! I don't know if he can stay alive for much longer!", urged 21.
Goku was curious on why he came here.
"Why do you think he came back this time?", Goku puzzled.
Vegeta knew that time is of the essence and the sooner Goku gets more Senzu Beans, the sooner Future Trunks can recover.
"Don't just stand there! Get him a Senzu Bean, now!", urged Vegeta.
Goku remembered that and decided to head over to Korin's place.
"Right. Sorry."
He then vanished, surprising 21.
"What the? He just vanished."
However, Trunks' teacher, who quickly panicked, was more surprised than 21, who turned to the schoolteacher as she expressed her shock.
"I don't understand what's happening! People are flying and glowing and appearing out of thin air and disappearing and everybody acts like it's normal! Could this be a dream?! Is my whole life a dream?! Do I exist?!"
21 blushed embarrassedly before the Pilaf Gang explained what it was.
"That's what we call the normal person reaction.", Shou answered.
"Yeah, we've gotten too used to seeing this stuff.", Mai concurred before Pilaf and Shou nodded.
Yurei saw the whole scene and realized that this may probably be too much for her to take.
"I guess some people aren't ready for what we're capable of in this timeline. Guess we need to be careful, otherwise, there could be some sort of panic."
Vegeta took a glance at 21 and wanted to know her.
"You there! What's your name?", asked Vegeta.
21 noticed that Vegeta was talking to her and had to answer.
"Android 21, why?", 21 answered.
Vegeta grew slightly surprised.
"Say what?"
"Yeah, but don't worry. I'm not like 17 or 18 from the future if that's what you're worried about. I'll stay here and help Trunks as much as I can until Goku gets back.", 21 assured Vegeta.
Vegeta got puzzled as to how she knew about them but decided to save his "interrogation" for later as he sighed, knowing full well that his son from the future must have trusted her as a friend sometime after Cell's demise, and then walked over and turned to the baffled schoolteacher, who then stood up.
"Excuse me, sir, but I have a headache. I need to excuse myself for the rest of the day. Maybe the rest of the week.", the schoolteacher said.
Then, as the schoolteacher groaned, walked away, and mumbled, Yurei gave a cautious look of confusion before Vegeta spoke.
"Wimp."
Then, Yurei responded to Vegeta's remark.
"I don't know, Vegeta. Can't say I blame her."
Vegeta widened his eyes in surprise upon noticing a purple-red-spiky-haired Saiyan in the vicinity.
"What?! Who are you? How do you know my name, and where the heck did you even come from?!"
Then, Trunks spoke to Vegeta on account of being given the answer just a few minutes ago.
"I know him, Dad. He said he's Yurei, the Saiyan from Planet Sadala of Universe 7 from the future."
Vegeta grew even more shocked from hearing this as he took one more glance at Yurei, who was walking closer to Vegeta and younger Trunks.
"H-He's a Saiyan?! No, that can't be right!", said Vegeta.
Yurei then responded.
"Well, truth be told, it's kind of a long story."
Meanwhile, Trunks wanted to know something about his future self.
"Wait, if he's the future me, then why does he have blue hair?'
Future Bulma smiled before answering his question.
"Well, you see, when you reach adulthood, your purple hair turns blue."
Trunks was somewhat astonished.
"No way."
Play Super Music: "Golden Frost's Theme" (Fanmade Music)
Back at the alternate future timeline, 16 and Future Majin Buu were making their trek across the desolate city in the heavy rain. 16 and Future Majin Buu were marching forward when the pink blob stopped a second, catching 16's attention as the future Majin looked up.
"That bad guy, right?", Future Majin Buu asked.
16 turned to see that Future Majin Buu was looking up to see Goku Black in midair, although Black didn't seem to be looking for 16 or Future Majin Buu at the moment.
"Yes. That is the enemy 21 told you about.", 16 answered.
"Then, how come he no attack us?," Majin Buu asked.
"Because at the moment, Black is too focused on locating the energies of Trunks and his compatriots, thus far. That should buy us as much time as we need to head to Resistance HQ."
Future Majin Buu found the "R" word, somewhat unsettling.
"Resistance?", asked the pink Majin.
"A rag-tag group of humans who forged an alliance to stand tall against Goku Black to help save this world once more. Would you like to join it?"
Future Majin Buu seemed a bit excited.
"Yeah! Buu want help Resistance beat bad guy!", Buu excitedly answered.
In response, 16 smiled before he spoke.
"I figured as much. Now, let's hurry. The sooner we get to HQ, the sooner you can help us fight Black."
Meanwhile, Goku Black was puzzling over how both his enemies and their friends were able to evade his energy-sensing ability.
"What is this? I don't sense his energy at all like he's left this world entirely.", Black said to himself.
That reminded him of when Yurei managed to evade him, too, but with the blue Time Ring.
He then raised his right hand close to him and lifted his fingers in an ascending order, revealing a Time Ring, similar to Goku Black's only it was colored the same as his current hair color, much to Goku Black's shock.
"What the?!"
"You'll just have to catch me first.", Yurei stated before he began to vanish quickly as well.
"That Saiyan evaded my wrath, too. But why did he have the same Time Ring I do? How did he even get it?", Black pondered.
Then, he quickly realized that he has no time to waste in trying to find his enemies.
"None of that matters, right now. They may have been lucky enough to escape me, but that won't stop me. I'll find them no matter how far they've gone. They fail to understand the depth of my power."
Then, Goku Black powered up with his dark aura getting bigger almost two seconds after it began emitting from him, blowing out gusts of wind on the stormy rain as it pelted the desolate city and lightning struck the sky.
End Super Music: "Golden Frost's Theme" (Fanmade Music)
Meanwhile, Yajirobe and Kirin were getting ready for the limbo game at Kami's lookout as he placed the stick at a spot next to 40 cm
"All right, it's ready to go.", Yajirobe told Korin.
Korin decided to do an exercise.
"One, two, three, and four, and one, two, three, and four! Now, throw down a fat beat!"
Yajirobe then started the music in the tape player and turned to Korin before speaking.
"Okay. How low can you go?"
Then, Korin oddly moved from step to step closer to the stick and spoke as he neared it.
"Here we go, here we go, here we go, and limbooooo!"
Korin then began going under the stick, but almost immediately found great difficulty.
"Limbo, limbo! Whoa, this is a tough one! My belly's almost touching it! I guess I should've waited till after the limbo to pig out!"
Yajirobe found a reason to poke some fun at Korin, who quickly remained unwavering.
"Are you giving up?", joked Yajirobe.
"Dream on, buster! This kitty won't quit! I'm getting 30 centimeters today."
Then, suddenly, Goku appeared, although Korin doesn't seem to be taken aback.
"Oh, hey, Goku! Good to see ya.", greeted Korin.
Goku was here on an urgent mission to get the Senzu Beans.
"Hey! What's up, Korin? Got any Senzu beans?", Goku asked.
To answer, Korin pointed his tail to the pot of Senzu Beans.
"Yeah, in that pot, over there!"
Goku then went over and picked up the pot before turning to Korin.
"Mind if I take a few?", Goku asked.
"Yeah, sure! You can have the whole batch!", was Korin's answer.
"Wow, awesome! Thanks!"
Goku reached his hand out and picked up all 8 Senzu Beans from the pot and clutched them in his hand as Korin slightly objected to the lack of gratitude.
"'Thanks'? That's it? Didn't you bring anything for me?"
Goku explained the reason why he didn't.
"Sorry, it's urgent. I didn't have time."
Yajirobe wanted to be caught up with Goku's past exploits.
"It's been forever. How've you been? Won any tournaments lately?"
Goku reiterated his mission.
"Sorry, but like I said, I'm in a rush."
Korin wanted to know what it is going on down there.
"So, what's going on? We're not talking some world-ending threat, are we?", Korin asked.
Goku decided that it's time to go, but not before answering the question.
"I'm still figuring that out. Well, see ya! I'll bring you something next time, I swear!"
Yajirobe wanted something for next time.
"Can I request pizza?", Yajirobe asked.
"You got it!", Goku responded.
Then, just as Goku was about to leave, he wanted to know about the game that Yajirobe and Korin are playing right now.
"Hey, is that any fun? That game you guys are playing?"
Both Korin and Yajirobe thought it over and answered together.
"Not really."
"That's what I thought. Thanks!", Goku responded before vanishing.
Then, the stock fell off after the song ended, meaning that they have to start all over again.
"Set it up again.", Korin instructed to Yajirobe.
Meanwhile, Goku returned with the Senzu Beans and tossed one to Vegeta.
"Think fast!", Goku shouted to Vegeta, who then caught it, prompting 21 to turn to notice that Goku arrived with the Senzu Beans.
"Wow, you're back already? That was fast. I guess Instant Transmission does live up to its rep.", 21 said with a smile.
Then, Yurei turned to notice Goku and widened his eyes in surprise before thinking to himself.
"Black! Wait, no that's not him. Black wouldn't have any good energy at all. The energy from the Black I know is darker. The power is more treacherous. But this energy just isn't that. So, I can only assume that this is the real Kakarot, or Goku, as the earthling friends call him. Let's see how this plays out."
Bulma then pressed her hand against the soft towel on top of Future Trunks' head.
"What could've happened to cause this? Something's hurt you pretty badly.", Bulma said as Vegeta walked over to Bulma and gave her a Senzu Bean so she can give it to her son from the future as Yurei spoke.
"It's more like someone, rather than something, and you won't believe who did this to him. I didn't."
Yurei clutched his hand into a fist before speaking further.
"Still don't."
Then, Future Bulma finally came up with a name change.
"I got it! Instead of Super Saiyan Blue, how about 'Super Saiyan Azure'?", suggested Future Bulma.
Goku, having overheard that question, wanted to know what Azure means.
"Hold on a second. What does Azure mean?", asked Goku.
Future Bulma grinned as she answered.
"It means bright blue, Goku."
Goku scratched his head as he figured one slight error with the name.
"Well, I guess it makes sense. The blue hair was a bit too bright, anyway."
Meanwhile, Bulma put her hand on the back of Future Trunks' head and held out a Senzu Bean for him.
"Here, Trunks. It's a Senzu Bean. Open up.", Bulma calmly instructed.
As Future Trunks chews the Senzu Bean, Future Bulma and Future Mai walked closer to Future Trunks.
"Please, Trunks.", Future Bulma said briefly.
"You can make it through this, Trunks. You have to, for our sake.", said Future Mai.
After he finished eating the bean, Future Trunks laid his head down.
"You're okay, sweetie.", said Bulma.
21 tensed out of worry for him while Trunks looked in surprise before Future Trunks started opening his eyes. Then, Future Trunks began to regain consciousness and slowly opened his eyes with both present and future Bulma's and Mai's, Yurei, Android 21, Vegeta, and Goku in view.
"Oh, good. You're actually coming around.", 21 sighed relieved.
Future Trunks turned to see Future Bulma and Future Mai.
"M-Mom? Mai?", Future Trunks questioned.
"Yep. We actually made it, son.", Future Bulma grinned.
"Yeah. We're safe now. For the moment at least.", Future Mai concurred.
"You feeling better, now?", Bulma asked.
"You can do it, Trunks. Just shake it off.", Goku encouraged.
Play Super Music: "A Secret Plan with One's Life on the Line
Future Trunks gasped from the sight of Goku, remembering the horrible, yet somewhat bittersweet, at best, memories of Goku Black when he destroyed the laboratory, but
thankfully was unable to take Future Bulma's life, just as he was unable to take Future Mai's, considering that they are here with him right now. However, seeing him here,
that was enough to practically make him see red.
"What's wrong? You look terrified.", Goku puzzled.
All Future Trunks saw of Goku is Goku Black, convinced that he and his mother and two friends failed to travel to the past as a sort of shadow of Goku Black chuckled. That
angered Future Trunks more than anything. 21 knew what was about to happen, since Black looked like Goku.
"Oh, no. This is gonna get rough.", 21 said.
That was when Future Trunks widened his eyes in fury that he quickly turned Super Saiyan 2.
"You monster!", shouted Future Trunks before he stood up and tried to punch Goku, only for Goku to catch the fist by the wrist with his hand, setting off a gust of wind that
blew right past everyone in a five-mile radius.
Yurei felt that that was enough to show that the enemy he and Future Trunks faced was none other than Goku, at least in the timeline they come from, as he sighed while
both present and future Bulma's, Mai's, Android 21, Vegeta, the younger Trunks, Pilaf, and Shou watched in shock, surprise, practical dismay, and confusion from Beerus the
Destroyer and Whis.
"You know, I did tell you you wouldn't believe it, Bulma.", Yurei pointed out.
Bulma then had a horrible thought as to who the enemy was.
"Wait. You don't mean-", Bulma said worriedly.
Yurei nodded to Bulma as Future Trunks seemed very angry at Goku as he pushed harder, although it's being clutched by the confused Goku at the moment.
"I'll make you pay..!", said the enraged Super Saiyan 2 Future Trunks as the blue plasma aura (blue lightning sparks around his yellow aura) sparked at a dangerous level
around him.
Goku grunted as he struggled to keep the enraged Saiyan Hybrid at bay.
Narrator: "Once again, two timelines collide, next time on 'Dragon Ball Super'!"

A/N: By the way, about the song that played just now, I officially like the Norihito Sumitomo version of the song "Saiyan's Pride", which is a recreation of a song that played when Vegeta used Final Flash on Jiren by PokeMixr92. I just hate not being able to hear the bells at the end of that recreation of that song like in the original version by Norihito Sumitomo. That's why I like it better. Honestly, I hope that the original soundtracks for the Future Trunks and Universe Survival Sagas arrive on Japan soon. I like the official sound of the songs better. In fact, sometime this month, or next month, that is, I plan on sending a letter to Norihito Sumitomo about releasing the official soundtracks of the Future Trunks and Universe Survival Sagas of Dragon Ball Super sometime after "Dragon Ball Super" reaches either its end or its hiatus. Also, during the course of this fanfiction, I also plan on adding a couple of key songs that are, as they say, "Sick!", in the best way. Those songs are from "Sonic Forces" and are "Infinite's Beginning" and "Infinite". Although, I actually plan on using one of them, but I might change my mind later on for this fanfic.
