Yukio Kasamatsu's POV:
As a captain of Kaijo High School's basketball team I cannot be anything but proud of my team. Because I know just what we have been through, how much each and every one of us progressed and developed, both as a basketball player and as a person. Last year we ended up as one of the best eight high school teams in the league. This year coach has even bigger and better plans for us. This year we literally have a hidden ace up in our sleeves. One of the six most talented players in this generation, a player so talented that he is like a 'sponge' for any knowledge. A fearsome player, ready to take his team to the top – Ryouta Kise.
Or that has been what coach told us when he drafted him in the team.
The reality is that right now this 'genius' is vibrating in one spot from excitement. Do not misunderstand me, this excitement is not from the impending game with Touou Academy, no all this is because, I quote: "I am going to see my bestest friend in the whole wide world! I can't wait for you to meet her". And I have to baby him today, because Satsuki is down with chickenpox. Just my luck.
As I restrain myself from inflicting him harm I see our opponents for today's semifinal in the Interhigh Championship – Touou Academy. In front of the group were Kousuke Wakamatsu and their captain – Shoichi Imayoshi. Behind them I spot a tall boy with dark blue hair. As soon as he comes into view, Kise starts running towards him, or as it later turns out, towards the girl on his back.
"Hime! It has been so long seen I have seen you!" shouted Kise when he reached the pair. He tried to hug the girl but the other boy – Aomine Daiki, their ace – prevented it.
"Back of Kise, you will hurt her." The darker skinned boy scolded Kise, pushing him away with one hand. The girl on his back ran her fingers through his hair, in an attempt to calm him down.
"You can put me down now, Daiki, I need to use the crutches more." Just then I saw a pair of crutches in Aomine's other hand. With more gentleness than I would have expected from the boy, he transferred her to the front of his body and carefully lowered her until her feet touched the smooth floor of the entrance hall in the sport center. Still keeping a hold on her he gave her the crutches, she took them and kissed him in the corner of his mouth. All the while, Kise was buzzing around her like a mother hen.
"Ryouta, don't worry, I am better." She gently smiled at him. At that he turned towards me and motioned me to go to them. When I reached them, he was quick to introduce us:
"Captain, this is our hime, Kuroko Tetsuki. Hime, this is my captain, Kasamatsu Yukio" At that she balanced the crutches in one hand and we shook hands. Her hand was delicate and smooth. She was beautiful. Small in stature but perfectly proportionate, beautiful alabaster skin and such a unique coloring.
"It is nice to finally meet you, Kise hasn't shut up about you." As I said that Aomine made a face, obviously noticing me checking her out.
"Thank you for taking such good care of both Ryouta and Momoi." She said with a gentle smile that made me blush. Seeing my reaction to his girlfriend's obvious beauty, the Touou ace put an arm around her shoulders and started guiding her in the other direction.
"Let's get you seated, I don't want you overworking yourself." With these words the started heading towards the inner part of the hall.
As I turned towards our ace, he was looking me with a strangely serious look on his face.
"Taicho, I know our hime is a very attractive woman but she is also Daiki's. I would advise you to watch yourself next time, because you would not like the consequences." My eyes widened at the obvious thread.
How do I explain it to him that I am just that awkward around females? I scratched my head at that thought and headed towards the locker room.
