-Two months and One week later-

-place shrine -time 2;34am-

-Kagome's pov-

I feel a few small kicks and i get up from the bed that was given to me by my human family then i put a simple white kimono on that barely covers me not that i care even as i go out side before i sit down against the base of the first tree i find i lay my left clawed hand on my belly as i say gently "i know its strange here but sweetheart please calm down a little bit your making mommy even more uneasy then she already is" the kicks fade away into light touches as i feel my daughter calm down a little and i let out a tired sigh leaning more heavily against my tree letting myself fall into a light sleep for the first time in a week since everything happened since Youko's death.

I am rudely awakened by a yell of pain as a male voice says "oww what the hell Kurama i was just try-" i open my eyes to see a dark haired teen earing green with one hand out stretched as if to wake me while the other is bleeding heavily trapped by a thorn whip that is being used by a red haired green eyes male as he glares at the other male as he says coldly "Yusuke i told you to leave the pregnant vixen alone did you listen to me no you did not and now you woke her up, do you know what her mate is going to do to us when he finds out!" Yusuke pulls his arm free as he says "dammit Kurama you could have told me that sooner!" Kurama shakes his head in disbelief at the clear stupidness of his friend.

Both of them seem socked at the tear that falls down my right cheek as i say "i wish he would but it is not possible my mate is dead" Yusuke looks confused while Kurama looks alarmed as i feel a familiar aura around him but i cant tell how it is familiar to me but i feel Hana kick in excitement i rub my belly gently as i say sadly "Hana what's gotten you so happy all of a sudden? your going to turn out be as moody as Youko aren't you" both of the males in front me stiff at my mates name but before ether of them can say anything else my grandmother comes storming out of her house looking at both of them pissed as she says dangerously "you two why is my granddaughter outside with barely anything covering her body! and on that note Kagome why aren't you sleeping in your room".

I roll my eyes as i stay leaning against my tree while i say "i normally sleep naked they should be grateful i put anything on to begin with before coming out here, i fall into a light sleep about ten minutes ago only for Yusuke to wake me with his stupid scream of pain after trying to wake me up when Kurama told him not too, i can only guess that they found me sleeping here about five or so minutes ago, and as for my room as well as the bed i refuse to use them" grandmother and Yusuke look at me strangely while Kurama gives me a understanding looks as he offer's his hand to me to help me off the ground.

A offer i take for some strange reason but the stranger thing is the fact that i grab his hand again in my clawed one when grandmother says "do you not like them is that why you refuse to use them? oh and Kurama get away from Kagome now" he goes to do as he is ordered only for my hold on his hand to tighten slightly making him look at me curiously as i say "please stay i cant shake this feeling that i know you plus we share the same name and your aura calms Hana down greatly in a way that only her father could when she refused sleep much like earlier today so plea-" Kurama says nothing as he lets go of my hand only for him to walk behind me before wrapping his arms around my middle as he pulls both of us into a sitting position against my tree with me in his lap leaning against his chest as he calmly run his fingers though my steel gray hair like Youko used to do on nights like this.

My ears flatten against my skull in distress as i fight the moan that threatens to rip though my throat when he rubs the base of my tail while he keeps running his finger though my hair making me sleepy Kurama chuckles slightly as he says gently "go to sleep Kags Life Stream knows you need it its alright i wont leave you again" my sleep needy brain is to tired to understand his words as i fall asleep against the red haired males chest.

-Youko's pov-

I smirk slight as i put a hand on Kagomes belly as i say "you know who i was before your mother did and that's saying something Hana you aren't even born yet, so how pissed do you think she'll be at me later?" a good kick to my hand makes me smile softly as i transform into my real form the one that Kagome knows me in as Yusuke says "hey fox why did Kurama let you out and why the hell are you touching Kagome like that?" i roll my golden eyes as i say calmly "Red is dead Yusuke and has been for a very long time he dead before birth and I've been using what Red would have looked like as my human form since his mother give birth to me and yes she knows why would i lay to the woman who gave me the second chance to with my family nd despite her knowing who and what i am she still treats me like her son in a way that I've only seen Kags threat Shippo speaking of my son i wonder why he is because i cant feel him any where near by and i don't want to piss my pregnant mate off more then i already well so i had best find him by morning" Genkai rolls her eyes as she says "she had some bat demon called Kuronue take Shippo to someone named Sesshomaru for training he well return a mouth after the child is born, but i don't see why this is any worry for you thief my granddaughter's mate is-".

I show them my mating mark as i say in a bored manner "Dead? i was going to inform Kagomes master about her pregnancy along with my partner Kuronue when we found the whole village murdered he went into the sky to find any living humans but he told one he was on the ground again that their were none and asked me if it was a illness of some kind, during my answer to him i sensed evil intentions so i pushed Kuronue out of the way taking the attack in his place and before i died i made him promise me to take a letter i had written for just this event to Kagome the i saw him flying towards the den before i got myself beheaded by Inu-baka's sword" i feel Kagome nuzzle into my stomach as she mutters my name in her sleep making me hold her a little tighter as i hear a woman say softly "so you must be my daughter's mate Youko do you know why she wont sleep since coming here from the past after your death a week ago" i see a dark haired woman that could only be Kagomes human mother walk towards me without any fear what so ever.

The tired sigh the leaves me as i say sadly "a week you say i hate to say this but you've just answered your own question Lady Higurashi, because up until a week ago Kagome has been living in my den for almost four months along with Shippo so its only natural for her not to feel at home in a house that is not her home, my death only made things harder for her to the point that she was forced to do something with very large amounts of energy that her soul was being crushed by hence the flames coming from her arm, i would ask how would you fair with the death of your mate raising two children by yourself but Kagome is the proof that you were able to live without your mate and were strong enough to live for both your children, while Kagome's own proof is her flaming arm as well as the fact that she hasn't had a miscarriage from the shock of my death, you've made your daughter strong enough to live without me all by yourself no mate to help you and i can not give you nearly as much thanks as you are owed for such a feet" Lady Higurashi gives me a teary smile as she says "your not going to tell her the truth yet are you son?".

A strange warm feeling pass's though my heart from her calling me son as i shake my head slowly while i say sorrowfully "no and i don't intend too until she enters this years dark tournament as the fifth member of the team it is part of the deal i made with the kitsune female who blood adopted Kagome, i am not allowed to show myself to her until the final match has started but she never said i couldn't be near my mate in Red's would be human form as simply Kurama, if you wish to inform her of my existence go ahead i still cant show myself to her no matter what any of you decide to tell her" i transform back into my human form before closing my green eyes tired of talking to humans with to many questions who leave for the house more then likely going to talk among themselves about what they have just learned.
