It's been an insane amount of time since the last update and I am sorry (there's an explanation down below if you really want to know why), but I hope you enjoy chapter 26 of Walney High :)

Anna's POV

Merida's voice comes through from the other end of the door, "Did you see Jack's face when Bunny-"

"Yes!" Hiccup interrupts laughing.

The door swings open to reveal Merida and Hiccup laughing at whatever happened downstairs. "And when Tooth-"

"With the cup holder! Priceless!"

Merida throws herself on her bed with a sigh. "We need to hang out with them before they leave!"

"You're right! I'll talk to Jack about it," he pauses and looks at her. They skip a beat before he shakes his head.

"Nope."

"Sorry, I even suggested it."

"No Jack."

"No Jack."

"He just isn't as fun as the rest of them."

"Exactly," Hiccup says with a laugh, lying on the bed next to Merida. He glances at me and points in my direction. "But if you ever tell Jack we said that, we will deny it to the grave."

Merida nods next to him. "To the grave!"

I smile and make the gesture of zipping my lips. "Your secret's safe with me," I tell them plopping down on Elsa's bed.

They share a nod and a very serious expression. "We can trust this one."

"Well, duh," Hiccup says. "Anyone who can voluntarily work with glitter for our sheer enjoyment can be trusted."

Merida springs off of the bed, knocking Hiccup off in the process. "I nearly forgot about Pitch's stuff!"

"Ow."

"We need to get this on tape," I tell the two passing the pink bag to Merida.

"One step ahead of you," Merida tells me, stepping over Hiccup and moving to dig around in the trunk at the foot of her bed. She pulls out a small, dark wooden box. "When you have younger brothers like mine, you need at least one of these things. So I invested in an entire box of these babies." She carefully flips open the lid of the box and pulls out a small circular thing, no bigger than my pinky nail.

"What is that?" Hiccup asks from his spot on the floor.

"They're spy cameras," Merida explains.

I gasp. "No way! I've wanted a set of these since forever!"

"I don't get it. What are they?"

We both turn to look at him. "What," Merida says, stunned.

"I have no idea what those things are?"

"Are you kidding me?"

"No."

"Have you never seen a spy movie of any kind?"

"Nope."

"Like never?"

"Never."

"The Bourne Trilogy?"

He thinks for a moment. "Never heard of it."

Merida gapes at him. "Burn After Reading?"

"Is that a movie title or a threat?"

She shakes her head and names another, "Argo?"

"No."

"Skyfall?"

He sits up on the floor. "The Adele song?"

"Kingsman?"

"That's a thing?"

"Mission Impossible?"

He shakes his head.

"James Bond?"

Another shake.

"Spy?"

He pauses and looks up in thought. "Nah, never seen it."

"Spy Kids," she cries out desperately, throwing her hands in the hair.

"Nope."

"Why are we friends?"

He rolls and nuzzles into her leg. "Because you love me."

She rolls her eyes but there is a faint blush on her cheeks. What did I just miss? "We're having a spy movie marathon." He opens his mouth to protest. She shushes him. "That wasn't a question. It's happening."

I laugh at their exchange. They must have been friends for a very long time. How else could they have a friendship like that? "So, should we go put a couple of those bad boys outside of Pitch's room?"

Merida extends a hand down to Hiccup and helps boost him up off the floor. "Abso-freaking-lutely!"

"I can't wait to see the look of absolute rage on his face," Hiccup adds, picking the pink monstrosity that is Pitch's bookbag.

She laughs and grabs her keys off the desk. "Me either!"

I hop up from my lounging position on Elsa's bed. "Then, what are we waiting for? Lets go set up these cameras and see how the bad boy likes his new bag!"

Elsa's POV

Please don't do anything to embarrass yourself.

That is mantra for this evening.

I want to do everything in my power not to screw this up. I need this to go well.

Why? I honestly can't even answer that question yet. Me, Elsa the straight A cried over an A- a couple of years ago student, can't answer a simple question.

Why do I want to impress these almost complete strangers?

Yeah, they're Jack's family and I want to like me of course. But Jack likes me... Isn't that enough? Or am I really so desperate for for their approval that I am going to complete ruin this evening with my nerves? Why is their approval so important? It's not like me and Jack are dating or anything. Nope! We're just to friends that know we like each other but are taking things incredibly slow. Meeting parents isn't a big deal until then right? Right?

No not right!

There is way too much pressure for this night! I can't. I'm going to screw this up. I know it. And then his family will completely hate me and then when if we ever, no, when we start dating they'll never approve of me. And then Jack will realize that if I am not worthy of his family's affection, I am probably not worthy of his affection either! It's really just a matter of time before-

"Elsa," Jack's voice pulls me out of my thoughts.

"Huh? What?" I question, meeting his eyes.

He smirks at me. "I asked if you know what yet."

Oh, right! Ordering! Oh right that would be the reason there is a menu in my hand. "Um," I mumble. I hadn't even been thinking about food. Great! Now I need to panic pick a meal. "I'll just take," my eyes dart across the words on the menu.

Tooth smiles gently at me then looks at the waiter. "We just need another minute or two."

He smiles politely and moves on. "I'm sorry," I say, blushing once he is out of earshot.

Tooth gives a wave of her hand. "Don't worry about it. Bunny may try to hide it, but he doesn't have an idea what he wants either."

"I know what I want," Bunny responds, defensively.

Sandy's hands move to sign something and everyone laughs. I am lost. Jack notices this and helps ease my confusion. "Bunny does this every time. He struggles figuring out what he wants then narrows it down between two things. He'll pick one by the time the waiter comes but panics when the waiter actually gets here and orders the other option. Then when the food gets here, he complains that his first choice would have been better."

"Not this time," he says, confidently. "I know exactly what I want."

North lets out a huge laugh. "And what's that, Aster?"

His gray eyes narrow at the Russian, mumbling something under his breath. Tooth, being the only one close enough to hear what he says, gasps and hits his arm. He looks down at her with complete mischief in his eyes, and she tells him, seriously, "There will be none of that at the dinner table, Bunny."

Bunny sends her big puppy eyes. "Not even a little," he says with a pout.

"Not even a little?"

Jack raises an eyebrow and sends a knowing smirk Bunny's way. The Australian man glares at him. "So you're between the burger and the pasta again, huh Bunny?"

There is a pause, and each set of eyes is on Bunny waiting for a response. "You think you know me so well, Jackson!"

Everyone at the table laughs, and Jack leans over to whisper in my ear. "It almost always comes down to a burger and pasta dish."

"It's not down to anything. I am confident in my decision of the burgetti."

"The burgetti?" North asks. "Mind pointing that out on the menu?"

Bunny throws the menu in his hand down on the table. "I hate eating out with you jerks," he hisses, making everyone laugh.

"Bunny," I say, timidly, gaining the cool, gray gaze from the tall man. "If you want, I can get the spaghetti and you can get the burger, and if you don't like what you get we can swap."

He looks at me surprised and smiles. "Jackson, I think I like your friend more than you. We should take her her out for dinner every time we come into town."

Jack sends me a wide grin, and I can feel a blush creeping onto my face. "I concur."

Tooth sends a smile our way, and Sandy signs something that makes Jack smile wider. "We'll have to make it a tradition then," North responds.

"Hiccup and Merida will be so jealous of you," Jack tells me.

Bunny smirks. "Are you implying that Elsa here is going to replace them?"

"They need a break from us; they idolize you guys too much."

North laughs. "They are good kids. We'll bring them back something, and we'll do something together next time we're in town."

The waiter chooses this time to make a reappearance to take our orders and bring drinks. As soon as he leaves the table, North takes his glass cup in his massive hands and raises it in the air. "We have much to celebrate tonight. To a successful meeting with Mr. Elias."

"To Mr. Elias," everyone at the table agrees, lifting their respective drinks.

Our glass cups meet in the middle of the table with a satisfying clink. There are smiles all around and for a good reason too. Since I am not a family member, I wasn't allowed into the office, but from what I was told, the meeting went great for Jack and the Guardians. Of course there will need to be another one some time in the distant future between Pitch, Jack, Elias, and one or two of the guidance councilors to prevent any other fights in the future.

Jack's icy blue eyes meet my own, and he gives me a large smile. He isn't getting off that easy. He's got a lot of detention to serve, community service to make up, and a formal apology must be exchanged with Pitch. But things are going to be okay for this handsome, blue eyed dork.

The glasses are lowered, and North clears his throat. "Now, Elsa," my eyes widen the slightest at the mention of my name, and they shift to North's warm gray eyes. "How did you and Jackson meet?"

"Oh, God," Jack mumbles under his breath.

"Was it a magical moment for both of you or just for our little softy?" Tooth adds in.

Sandy signs something, and North hums in agreement. "I've been wondering that too."

"How long before you two are official?"

"Wait. What? Make what off-"

Jack places a hand on his temples. "Guys, please don't do-"

"Exactly what was it that made you overlook his boneheadedness and give the dumbass a chance?" Bunny says with a smirk.

"I am not a dumb-"

"A chance at-"

"Aster be nice," Tooth scolds. "I want to know when we can expect to see Elsa over the holidays, and Jack is never going to invite her over if you scare her away!"

Sandy signs something that North nods at. "Good point Sandy."

Jack visibly turns the color of a bright tomato. "What did Sandy just..." His eyes widen and he shakes his head profusely. "Please," he pleads with his family. "If you love me at all, in any way shape or form, do not mortify me in front of," he pauses and signs something. "and tell her what Sandy just said."

What? What did Jack just sign? And Sandy? What could possibly have been so embarrassing that he wouldn't want me to- Oh. Oh. My face instantly flares up into a raging red. That's the kind of conversation this is. Oh, glob. No wonder he- and I- and t-they think that-that I and me and Jack are we're- And did they say visiting on the holidays!? They honestly believe that we're- which isn't such a terrible thought- but none the less, they think we are in a serious, romantic relationship.

My face grows even warmer with this revelation.

Bunny notices the intense blush on our faces, and smirks. He opens his mouth to say something, but Tooth beats him to it, silencing him with a glare. A small frown replaces the smirk, and he sighs, heavily. "What we mean to say is, Elsa," he clears his throat, and when he speaks again, it is with a serious tone, "what are your intentions with our son, Jackson Frost?"

Anna's POV

"Is the camera in position?"

"For the hundredth time," Merida whisper yells. "Keep your voice down Hiccup!"

Hiccup sighs, but lowers his voice, "Is the camera in position?"

Merida steps away from the camera she set up on the wall across from the door. "Should be. Check the app," she says, handing Hiccup her phone.

His fingers push in the 4 digit lockcode to unlock the phone. Wait. Time out. Is this just information that we share with people now? Or is this just a Merida and Hiccup thing? He pushes on the screen and turns the phone around, revealing the angle the camera is recording. Merida waves at the small device, and the video Merida waves back from the phone.

"This is so cool!" I cheer, as I rush to stand next to Merida and wave at the camera. My eyes shift between the camera and the phone screen. "Hey there, video Anna!"

Merida groans. "You two are the worse spies I have ever met."

Hiccup puts a hand on his chest, in fake hurt. "Merida, you wound me. I am possibly the greatest and sneakiest spy in all of the land."

She snorts and shakes her head. "Sure you are, Hiccup."

"I am! Just check out these moves," he crouches down on the ground and does a double somersault. He lands once again in a crouch and puts his hands out in front of him in a finger gun, making the sound effects too. "Pew, pew," he imitates the gun, pointing it at Merida and me.

The red head rolls her eyes but still smiles at his antics. She grips her chest as if shot and slumps to the floor. "I'm so sorry, greatest and sneakiest spy in the world-"

"All the land," he corrects.

"In all the land," she repeats. "Please, have mercy on me."

He blows the imaginary smoke off of his imaginary gun. "It's too late for you. There is poison already seeping through your veins from the bullets. You'll be dead in a matter of minutes."

"No! Anna," she says reaching for my arm. "Tell my family, I-I love them." She begins twitching on the ground, making random noises before finally being still and sticking her tongue out of her mouth, signaling death.

Weirdos. I love it! I'll play along. I sink to my knees next to Merida's body. "No! She was so young! Too young to die!" Fake sobs rock my body. My sobs turn into body shaking laughter as Hiccup does his take on maniacal laughter.

Merida soon joins in before getting back up off the floor and extending a hand to help Hiccup up. He is pulled to his feet and is immediately punched in the arm by the redhead. "Dork," she tells him with a light laugh.

"Well the camera is in position, the feed is going straight to the phone, and we are all ready to go. What do we do now?" I ask.

The brains of the operation, aka definitely not Hiccup, is about to respond, when we all hear voices coming from the stair way next to us. Merida's eyes widen, obviously recognizing the voice. "Pitch," she mouths, taking her phone back.

Hiccup quickly drops the sparkly, pink monstrosity that is Pitch's bookbag in front of the dorm door. I rush to grab Merida's bag, throwing any materials left out into the large pocket and zipping it shut. Merida taps her screen a few times, making sure that the camera is recording.

Then as silently and quickly as possible, Merida leads us down the hallway in the opposite direction of the voices. We are able to turn the corner and down the staircase at the end of the hall.

My heart is pounding by the time we reach the bottom of the stairs, and Merida let's out a loud laugh. "That was the greatest thing we ever done," she manages between her laughs.

Hiccup bends over with his hands on his knees, panting. "My heart is racing."

I let out a whoop. "This is the greatest! Can we watch the footage?"

"Now, now, dear freshman," Merida says, getting a hold over her laughter.

"I'm a sophomore..."

"We need to hold a viewing of this video. It is not something we can keep to ourselves. Plus, I'm going to need to get my cameras back."

Hiccup scratches the back of his neck. "I can handle that. I'll get it as I am passing up to my room and give it to you tomorrow in class."

She loops an arm around his shoulders. "Have I told you that you are the greatest?"

He shrugs. "You can say it again if you want to."

"You, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II, are the greatest!"

"Horrendous?" I question, laughing.

"Great," Hiccup Horrendous Haddock II says, glaring at Merida. "See what you started? Now another human being knows my name. Thank you Merida. You know, you were wrong. I'm not the best. You are."

She laughs. "Don't worry, Hic. This'll stay just between us redheads."

He rolls his eyes. "Oh joy. Peter would just love to get his hands on my middle name."

"Ok, it will stay between us female redheads."

He sighs again. "Sorry for laughing, Hiccup, but Horrendous?" I question.

"It was my grandfather's name," he mumbles. (No idea if that is true or not... Don't quote me on this!)

That triggers another round of hysteria for the two of us. Merida begins leading us out of the building. "I'm going to head back to the dorms and talk the RA into letting us borrow one of those tv on wheels in the dorms for an after dinner screening. Where are you two off to?"

"Well first back to your room. We left our bags there," Hiccup says, falling in step with Merida and I as we begin the walk back to the girls dormitory.

"Duh," she tells him, rolling her eyes. "And after that?"

He shrugs, "Probably go study down in the library."

"No stalking on the agenda?"

He checks the time on his phone. "Nah, football practice is over. How about you, Anna?"

"Hanging out with, Kristoff."

She wrinkles her nose. "Ugh. The Reindeer."

"Hey!" Hiccup and I say in unison.

"Oh right," Merida says, putting her hands up. "I forgot the loves or your lives are part Reindeer."

"Love of my life? Kristoff? Nah. We're just friends."

Hiccup is close enough to her that he can nudge his shoulder with his own, which he does with a lip smacking. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're jealous, Merida."

"Good thing you know better, then," she quips. Is it just me or is her face a shade closer to her hair color than it was two minutes ago? Nah. I'm probably just imagining it...

Not breaking his stride, Hiccup wraps an arm around the redhead's waist, pulling her into a close hug. "Aw, don't worry, Bear. You can't get rid of me that easily," he tells her, smiling and nuzzling slightly into her shoulder. He retracts his arm but stays closer to her than before the side hug.

Or am I?

Wow. I haven't "seen" you guys since December! I'm kind of the worst. I've been really busy lately, and life is kind of being a douche (like a really big douche -.-), but I am back now.

I'm going to be completely honest with you. I am running out of ideas for November and fall in general. That's why chapters have been really hard to write. Writer's block sucks! BUT! My brain is filled with all of these amazing ideas for winter!

What do you think? Time skip? No time skip? If any one has any suggestions that they'd like to see, I will gladly take them! Leave a review
