The human heart and mind. Both amazing things that are vital in life. Feelings and thoughts at the core of all the decisions a person makes throughout their lives. Two things that none will ever truly understand.

Through the course of her adult life, Felicity had prided herself on the clarity of her mind, her ability to not let her feelings cloud her judgements, allowing her to always act accordingly in her dealings with the coven and the three kings. She knew that there was no situation placed before her that she could not handle with a clear and professional outlook.

But sometimes, even in the minds and hearts of the most focused of people, conflict can begin to stir and unsettle the balance of everything that always seemed so certain and unmoving. Hearts can begin to beat with a new rhythm at the sight and thought of people that were once considered only good friends, the mind can begin to question what that person really means too you.

Felicity was beginning to realise this and, although she would never admit it out loud, it scared her to think that her feelings and thoughts of the three kings were beginning to change, becoming something more than she had ever believed possible.

Sat at her desk within the spacious office, Roxanne couldn't help but frown as she watched the small blonde woman. The paperwork had been completed for the day and, whilst Felicity would normally be moving onto the next day's work or simply talking about other work related matters, she was merely staring at her blank computer screen, thoughts clearly occupied and hands clasped beneath her chin as a little frown graced her lips.

Through her gift, Roxanne could see the barrier that held Felicity's suppressed feelings in check becoming weaker, crumbling beneath the influence of her manipulation of what had been left ignored. She should have felt pleased that she was succeeding in her task, that the chances of her failing were becoming slimmer by the day. But she didn't, she felt like a traitor to her friend, that she was deceiving and hurting someone that had, so far, done her no wrong.

To see the woman that she had come to care for so torn by her thoughts and confused by the new feelings made the red head angry. At Aro for his deal and at herself for accepting the deal, but it was too late to turn back and all she could do was hope for the best.

"Felicity, are you ok? You don't seem yourself today"

Felicity jumped at the sound of Roxanne's voice, having forgotten in the swamp of her thoughts that she was not alone in the office. She tried to smile, more to convince herself than the other woman that everything was fine, that nothing was amiss. But everything wasn't fine, not in her mind at least. Over the past few days, Felicity's dreams had been plagued with the visage of her three kings, of hands wandering none too innocently and of lips leaving burning trails of desire along her flesh as she writhed and revelled beneath their attention. It was unsettling, almost frightening. And yet it seemed so right that she should feel so wanton with those three. Not separately, but with all three of them at the same time.

Since the night that she had invited them to watch a movie with her, she had found that, much like her dreams, her thoughts were becoming more and more intimate whenever she found herself amongst the brothers. She could no longer focus clearly on her days spent with the kings, her efforts to avoid Caius' overly affectionate hands and his passionate, teasing words seeming to become weaker, struggling with herself internally to so easily push Aro away when he would choose to draw her into his arms for a slow waltz around his study and incapable of suppressing the crimson blush that graced her cheeks at Marcus' words of affection and compliment.

It was beginning to feel like she could not bear to deny them anything, that she was no longer capable of keeping her heart at a safe distance from each of the brothers. Being with them no longer seemed like a simple task that came with her role within the coven, but rather like a necessity for her own happiness and peace of mind, like she needed their presence to merely get through the day.

These feelings, theses needs, were strong. Willing her to seek more, demanding that she submit and speak out to the three kings. And, as much as she hated to admit it, she found herself wanting nothing more than just that. Against her own stubborn pride, she wanted to submit to her heart.

"I am fine... I just find myself a little out of sorts recently... It shall pass, just as all matters such as this often do"

Roxanne frowned slightly, watching as the fair haired woman rose from her seat, gathering the documents that they had completed during the day before smiling in false reassurance. But it didn't reassure her, only made her wish even more that she had never set foot inside the castle, that she had never befriended the other. Why did it have to be so difficult anyway? Why did Felicity have to be such a stubborn target for her powers? She had to wonder, was Aro's offer of immortality in exchange for her success really worth the self hatred she was currently feeling?

"I'll take these to my quarters and check over them, make sure we have made no mistakes before delivering them to the brothers... Lord knows that I do not need Caius teasing me for a single spelling mistake"

The pair tried to laugh at the small joke, tried to make things seem as if they had not changed, but their separate thoughts would allow no exception for even the smallest of jovial behaviour. Whilst one was trapped within the conflicts of her heart and mind, the other was clouded with the thoughts of anger and dishonesty towards herself. Because, deep down, they knew. Everything was beginning to change.

So, I know that this update is a little short and has taken a while, however, I wished to give a little light onto how both girls are feeling. Felicity for the effects of Roxanne's gift for manipulation and Roxanne's feelings about the fact that she feels that she is betraying her friend.

I hope you all enjoyed it and I will hopefully have the next, much longer, update up soon :) Thanks guys and happy reading x
