THIS IS AN ACTUAL CHAPTER! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

According to it's been exactly 2 years, 2 months, and 24 days (815 days) since my last update, and exactly 5 years, 6 months, and 16 days since I published this story. That's a very long time ago. So to the 19 reviewers, 33 who favourited, 51 who followed this story, and to you who just stumbled upon this story that I began writing in my teens, here is the long overdue Chapter 19!

Disclaimer: I still do not own the Harry Potter franchise, do you think that would change in 5 years?

Chapter 19: A Wonderful Day

Third Person

Pyxis woke up to the sound of a loud pop and a bunch of paper (confetti?) raining on her face. Rubbing her eyes quickly and putting on her glasses, she managed to catch Hermione running out of their dormitory still giggling.

'That was fast, 'Mione. But not fast enough.' Pyxis thought with a smirk.

She uttered apologies to the other girls who were woken up way too early because of the ruckus. They were all quick to accept her apology and dismissed the event and Pyxis almost felt sorry for what was about to happen for the next two days. Almost.

Her clock says 4:30AM, very early compared to her usual waking up time, but just in time for everything they're doing today. After getting ready in record time, Pyxis met up with Fred, George, Lee, and Hermione in the Gryffindor common room.

"Was the wake up really necessary, 'Mione?" Hermione just laughed. "So, we're a go with the wakeup call then?" The twins and Lee nodded.

"They'll be asleep for a good hour still, so we're definitely a go." They all high fived and went to the boys' dormitory as quietly as possible.

Spotting Harry and Ron, Pyxis and Hermione casted a Levitating charm on their mattresses and began the transportation.

Fred and George were leading the group, to make sure they don't bump into anyone; while Lee was getting Colin Creevey to borrow his camera for documentation. They were almost out of the castle when Blaise and Draco suddenly appeared making the two girls almost drop their spells.

"Subtlety is a thing you know?" Lee remarked. The Slytherins rolled their eyes.

"If we weren't subtle, we wouldn't have accomplished our tasks." Blaise retorted. The Gryffindors' eyes lit up.

"You did it?" Pyxis could barely contain her excitement.

"Of course we did, Raine. Give us some credit." Draco looked indifferent but Pyxis could see the mischief and pride clearly in his eyes. She raised her unoccupied hand for a high five to which the two acknowledged.

"Come on, guys, we have a lot to do still. Let's get these two to where they need to be." With that, the group proceeded on their way out of the castle and made their way down the Black Lake.

There are 2 rafts, roughly the size of the mattresses waiting for them when they got there. They settled the mattresses on each raft, and let it float on the lake. Of course they made sure to tie the rafts to a tree branch so the two won't float too far. They all silently cheered once again once everything was set into place.

"This is brilliant, Pyxis. How did you think of this?" Fred complimented.

"We did this at a summer camp one time, me and one of my brothers." Was her only answer.

"Who was the unfortunate soul who woke up drenched?" Hermione asked. Pyxis snorted.

"The camp leader of course." There was silence before the whole group broke down laughing.

"Were you caught?" George asked after their laughter subsided.

"Of course not. Shall we wake them?" Lee just raised his borrowed camera as a response. Pyxis turned to Hermione and they both nodded before firing a Reviving Spell on Harry and Ron.

The effect was instantaneous. The two bolted right up causing their mattresses to shake, which caused confusion; when it dawned on them that they are not in their dormitories, they panicked and stood up, and promptly fell into the lake. And everything was caught on camera.

When the two resurfaced and saw the group responsible for their current predicament, they weren't even surprised. They just caught each other's gaze and began splashing the group with water. Blaise, Pyxis, and George were directly in the line of fire and were hit with the water while the rest were at a safer distance. In the end, after Harry and Ron were out of the water, they were all rolling on the grass laughing and more photos were snapped by Lee.

"I can't even be mad, I mean, we saw them planning last night." Harry, now dry, was now fixing his unruly hair, Ron could just nod as he does the same. Lee then cast a Hot- Air Charm on the mattresses and the clothes of those who got drenched during their prank, just to make sure no one gets sick.

"Are we ready for the next prank?" Lee turned to everyone. His question was met with grins.

Hermione and Pyxis had just gotten back to their dorms when a shriek was heard from the bathrooms. They joined some of the girls who went to check and saw Lavender Brown with her long blonde hair, not so blonde anymore.

"Lavender what the hell happened?"

"Were you hexed?"

"Was it the shampoo?"

"I'll ask some of the older girls if they know how to reverse it."

"My hair is blue!" Lavender cried.

Meanwhile, two giggling girls went unnoticed as they faded away from the scene.

After getting ready for breakfast, the group proceeded to the Great Hall, earlier than their usual arrival time. As the students slowly trickled in, quiet gasps were heard from the other students. Students from all houses sporting brightly – coloured hair that were haphazardly covered marched in at different time intervals. The hair colours ranging from pinks, purples, reds, oranges, blues, oranges, and greens, certainly catches the eyes of everyone. And the fact that the victims were from different houses definitely doesn't make it easier to point who the culprit is.

If one observed closely though, they would see the wider than usual smiles of 7 Gryffindors, 2 Slytherins, and some hand –picked students from other houses that were in on this school wide prank.

"Now I know that purple is definitely not Pansy's colour." Pyxis caught Draco and Blaise's amused stares from across the hall. Pansy's whines can be heard despite the distance.

"How long do those dyes last again?" Harry silently inquired.

"Exactly 24 hours." Fred answered.

"All thanks to Isis' excellent potion making skills." George added. Pyxis was quick to shrug off the compliment.

"I just kept you guys from stirring the pot for too long, that was all you, guys."

"You picked the colours, though." The twins pointed out.

"Well, yeah, that I can take the credit for."

"The colours certainly livened up the whole school." They all snickered.

"We'll set up the entrance to the courtyard, meet you there in half an hour!" Harry, Ron, and Hermione quickly finished their breakfast and got out of the Great Hall as inconspicuously as possible.

Just as they got out, Professor Flitwick, Professor Trelawney, and Professor Sprout, entered the Great Hall angry. Apparently, they entered, well tried to enter their offices, and failed because it had been filled to the brim with balloons. Before any professor could stand up to take a look, though, an alarm clock rang.

"What?"

"Who would bring an alarm clock in the Great Hall?"

"I don't know, but it's irritating!"

"Somebody shut that damn thing off!"

There was a commotion before someone finally yelled, "Here it is!", followed by sighs of relief.

Before another alarm clock rang.

"Excellent work, Draco and Blaise. The two minute intervals between alarm clocks was genius." The twins slung an arm over the Slytherins as they made their way to the courtyard.

"Putting one near our usual places where we can find it put us out of the suspect list too. 10 points to Slytherin!" Pyxis gave a thumbs up.

"Thanks, we spent half the night planning the strategic places to put those clocks. Totally worth it to cause chaos in the Great Hall." Blaise shared.

"A good distraction as we flee with the irritated students too." Everyone agreed with Draco.

Upon reaching the hall near the courtyard, they saw a huge crowd formed at the end of the hallway. Exchanging glances with barely concealed smiles, they pushed through to reach the front of the crowd and saw the masterpiece that the Golden trio did.

Small white cups filled with water is lined the whole corridor meticulously, making it hard to go through without making a mess.

"Who the bloody hell has time to make this?" Some laughed while some groaned in disbelief at the crazy morning they were experiencing.

"When I find out, I will jinx them so they will never get out of bed until it's time to go home. This is insane." A lot were annoyed by the fact that their path is blocked.

"It's very perfect though, look at the symmetry of the placement of the cups. Amazing." While a select few was appreciative of the sight before them.

"Could this be the Weasley Twins' doing?" Someone piped up from the side.

"Hey, we just arrived here!" The two turned to the speaker in perfect sync. The 6th year Gryffindor who spoke just raised his hands in surrender. "Sorry I didn't notice you there."

"Meh, it's fine mate, no harm done." Pyxis looked at the twins and was awed at how the twins weren't giving anything away.

Most of the crowd dispersed while the few, including the group responsible, stayed to clean up the mess.

They regrouped on the steps to Hagrid's Hut to avoid being overheard. The Golden trio was showered with praise at the stunt they just pulled in the hallway.

"I saw Colin managed to get lots of pictures. That was epic, you guys." Lee exclaimed.

"The precision, attention to detail, I think that's what made the pranks this morning really great." Pyxis mused as she munched on a Sugar Quill.

"I know, given that we only planned for a few hours, our execution was flawless." Hermione agreed.

"I think this is us just releasing all our mischievousness at once." Lee thought out loud. "It's kind of frightening to see everyone's side like this." Everyone just nodded silently.

"Let Phase Two begin, then!" The Twins declared.

The hours approaching lunch wasn't as eventful as breakfast, and as nothing else happened, everyone was put at ease and ready to proceed with their days as normal. That was everyone's mistake.

Everyone was having peacefully having lunch until someone on the Gryffindor table asked, "Are these caramel coated apples?", that everyone noticed that there are, indeed, caramel coated apples on their tables. Since it was rare to have the treats in Hogwarts, there was an almost visible air of excitement that rose in the room.

Almost everyone finished lunch at a quicker pace and coincidentally, half the room finished lunch at the same time and grabbed a treat. Nothing immediately happened as they all bit the "apple" but when they all tasted the inside, the whole lot of them spat it out. This half disgusted their companions, and half caused concern.

"What the bloody hell, are those onions?" And a lot more curse words followed.

"They're not apples?" Ron asked Seamus who was one of the unlucky ones who ate.

"Hell no. They're caramel coated onions."

Hermione took one and split it in half. "Who the hell would do this? This is insane."

The professors were trying their best to calm the students down and assist those who felt sick upon eating the onion.

"What is wrong this day? Is someone having a late April Fool's day?"

"Who knows, I'm partly enjoying this to be honest."

"They must have planned this for so long."

"I wonder what will happen next."

"We'll just take care of a few stuff, Blaise, Draco, Let's meet at the Courtyard later? We have something big planned for the Gryffindor common room."

"Sure, good luck on your plans, Butterfly!" Pyxis gave each of them a hug before going back to the common room.

"Are they ready?" Fred whispered to the group.

"Yes, we just have to place them at the right time, and avoid anyone seeing them." George informed.

"Are you planning something?" A voice from above made them all freeze. They all looked up and saw Peeves. The third years turned to the fourth years as they were the only ones who know what to do with situations like this.

"Hey there, Peeves! We are, indeed planning something. Care to help?" George greeted cheerfully.

Peeves looked indifferent at first but eventually asked excitedly, "Sure, what can I do?"

Pyxis

"Hey there, guys!" Pyxis skipped towards her best friends and took a seat in front of them, so that the three of us forms a triangle.

Blaise waved. "Ello, Butterfly! How was the prank?"

"Still setting up, we got Peeves to help!"

Draco's eyes widened "Wait, what? Peeves as in Peeves?"

"Uh, yeah. He's the only Peeves around here as far as I can think of?" His question made me a bit unsure. Is there a student whose name was Peeves? If yes, that was a silly name to give to your child. I was brought out from my musings with Blaise's laugh.

"No, there isn't another Peeves here, Butterfly. You looked so confused!"

"Hey, it's not like I know everyone here. What if there was someone named Peeves other than Peeves?"

Blaise just laughed again before handing me a box of Sugar Quill. I took it, and immediately got one.

"I didn't know it was this tiring to prepare for pranks. My respect for the twins and Lee just rose."

"I know right? They think of everything from the planning to the execution, not to mention the timing and the materials. I didn't even know they were such potions experts." Blaise observed.

I nodded. "They really are very smart to pull off all those pranks."

We were silent for a while, until I noticed that Draco was being more silent than usual.

"Draco, are you alright? You're awfully quiet."

He suddenly looked up and turned to us, as if he had been deep in thought.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just a bit worried."

"Eh? About what?"

"You." My eyes widened. I think even Blaise was surprised by the honest admission from Draco.

"I'm fine, Draco. You don't need to worry about me."

"Are you really feeling alright though, Raine? You told us that the bouts of flu you had before was due to the time fiasco? Are you feeling anything bad right now?" Draco's stare felt like it's staring right into my soul.

"I honestly don't feel anything bad right now, Draco. I promise I would tell you guys if I do. So don't worry too much, okay?" I took his hand as an additional assurance.

"Oh I just remembered, I promised you I would get you an awesome gift. I'm almost finished! I can't wait to give it to you!" It was not a subtle change in topic at all, but I'll take what I can.

Draco laughed. "We could finally exchange Christmas gifts? A bit late, don't you think?"

"As the muggle saying goes, 'Better late than never'" The two nodded.

"That actually makes sense." Blaise looked thoughtful.

"I think I'll give it to you on the 10th. I'm putting finishing touches, because I want it to be perfect."

"Let's exchange gifts on that day then." None of us mentioned that it's the same day as my departure and I was glad. I smiled up at him as I offered a Sugar Quill.

"For now though, Sugar Quill?"

Blaise snorted. "You are so obsessed with that." I playfully punched his arm before lying down beside him. I dragged Draco so he was laid down beside us.

Just as we were getting comfortable, a loud rustle from inside the forest made us jump. We exchanged glances before getting on our feet to investigate.

I'm not familiar with all the creatures that inhabit the Forbidden Forest, and I doubt my companions were too. But I have faith that we can keep each other safe whatever happens. We slowly walked in wands ready, keeping our eyes peeled for any disturbance. Draco was leading our group while Blaise trailed behind. As we walked deeper in the forest, the rustles become louder; but this time, a female voice accompanied the sounds.

"Someone hangs out in this creepy forest? Why?" Draco and I just shushed Blaise.

We all peeked behind a thick curtain of leaves and saw a girl with long dirty blonde hair. She was surrounded by a herd of the sort of winged horse creatures that I recognise were the ones pulling the carriages from Hogsmeade station to Hogwarts. As if sensing our presence, the creatures, turned to us. This alerted the girl too and her eyes met mine.

However, the large creatures' eyes captured my attention. They were white and expressionless which made me shiver a bit. I shook it off and turned to the girl, most probably younger than us, and gave a little wave.

"Hi, we didn't mean to sneak up on you, we just heard noises from the lake and we were curious." I pocketed my wand and walked slowly towards her. "I'm Pyxis, third year from Gryffindor." I turned to my best friends, giving them the option if they want to introduce themselves, but both stayed silent. "These are my best friends, Draco and Blaise, they're third years too but they're both in Slytherin."

"I'm Luna Lovegood, second year from Ravenclaw." She stopped for a moment, fixing her pale, silvery eyes on me. "You can see them too." She raised a hand to pet one of the creatures close to her.

"I've seen them since I got here." I carefully approached Luna.

"They're called Thestrals. They're quite gentle creatures, really."

"So fascinating. Why can't others see them?" The Thestral's skin was smooth to touch, a bit slippery, and pretty thin since I could almost trace their bones. The Thestral I'm petting leaned and sniffed my head making me giggle a bit.

"They can only be seen by people who've seen death." All movements from around me seized and I could only hear a distant gunshot and the sound of water everywhere. The air seemed to get colder, my breath harder to catch. A warm feeling on my hand pulled me back to the present and I found myself staring directly on familiar grey eyes.

"Raine, are you alright? You were out of it for a bit." Focusing more on the warmth of Draco's hand holding mine and his voice cleared my mind.

"I'm alright now. Thank you, Draco." I squeezed his hand and slowly let go.

"I apologise, I must have triggered a sad memory." Luna was looking down, clearly guilty.

"Oh no, it's not your fault, Luna." I went to her and put both hands on her shoulders. "There are times that we just remember sad things, and that's alright. As long as we know it's all in the past and we don't let it control our future." She looked up with a small smile. "You know that, right?"

Compared to the other friends I made, Luna was one of the few I wasn't aware of before actually knowing her. I've read about Draco and Blaise, The Weasleys, Golden Trio, etc., I sort of forgot the feeling of making friends without having prior knowledge about them. I still felt sort of awkward, of course, but it comes with that exciting feeling of not knowing everything all at once.

"It's the first time I met someone who can see Thestrals too."

"I actually was very confused at first when I told Draco and Blaise about them pulling the carriages and they can't see them. They're such unique creatures. Can they take you to places like Hippogriffs could?" There's a snort from behind us and I turned just in time to see Draco blushing and Blaise clutching his arm while holding back a laugh.

"What?"

"Draco had a bad experience with-" Blaise was cut off with a sharp elbow to the stomach, but that didn't stop him from laughing. I chose not to comment anymore and turned back to Luna.

"They're very clever and can sense humans who need help. I believe they'll be willing to transport people to places."

"They're very interesting." Another Thestral has approached me and began sniffing my hand. "And very friendly too." I laughed as I pet the newcomer too.

We spent more time with the Thestrals and Luna, even got Draco and Blaise to pet the Thestrals even if they can't see them. But we must return and soon, we were saying goodbye to our new friends. Just in time too, as Hermione arrived as soon as we were out of the forest.

"Peeves' distraction worked wonders, the common room's all set!"

As soon as I entered the Gryffindor Common Room, a grey and white Persian Cat with the bluest eyes I have ever seen pounced on me, its claws digging on the fabric of my jumper.

"Oh hello, where's your ow-" I trailed off as I saw the state of our common room. There is a lot more occupants than usual, and more than half of the occupants were cats of different colours and breeds. "Wow, that's a lot of cats."

Most of the cats are perched on different furniture, while there are few who were lounging on the laps or shoulders of students. Nobody seemed to mind the presence of the felines. I took a seat on one of the couches, still holding the Maine Coon, when two more kittens, a Maine Coon and a TabbyPatjumped on my lap.

"This is so cool, 'Mione they like me!"

"Crookshanks is loving his new playmates too."

Our fun went for a solid one hour until we all conceded that we cannot take care of these many cats in the common room and had to tell Professor Mcgonagall. Our head of house didn't even question how there happened to be enough cats to fill the common room and just helped us in ushering the cats out. She even helped us scourgify the common room until it's spotless.

After our small animal therapy in the common room, it's time for more fun. We migrated to the fountain courtyard, set up our prank the best as we can without anyone seeing, and waited on the other end of the courtyard. We set up a classic muggle prank, and the number of victims will really depend on the cooperation of the victims themselves.

"I'm glad that we had access to the kitchens, I don't know where we could get clingwrap if we didn't."

Finally, we saw two Ravenclaws walking towards the courtyard and Lee got out his borrowed camera again. We were silent as they walked and turned to the entrance of the courtyard until…

"Ahhhh! What is this?" One of them was totally caught on the clingwrap we put on the entirety on one of the entrances to the courtyard.

The flash of the camera totally gave away that we did the prank, and they were onto us as soon as they saw.

"I knew all the pranks were your fault!"

"Hey, we only did this prank, we had no idea who did all the ones this morning!" Fred explained.

"We got inspired by the brave and intelligent people behind this morning's pranks so we decided to do one ourselves!" George added.

"If you want, you can get in on this prank! Let's get more to run into the clingwrap!" Lee offered.

The two looked sceptical, but agreed nonetheless. One of them stayed, while the other went on to lure more people to the courtyard.

Eight Hufflepuffs, ten Gryffindors, seven Slytherins, and eleven Ravenclaws later, our group was much larger than our original nine pranksters. Draco and Blaise arrived after our third victims, and now we are plotting how to get professors to walk through the entryway.

"Luring them directly won't work."

"What if there's an emergency?" a Hufflepuff suggested.

"What sort of emergency?"

"A medical emergency?" A Ravenclaw from the back chimed.

"That would be too risky, we may risk getting in detention with that." Everyone nodded.

"What about a fight?" Blaise suggested.

"That's more detention prone, Zabini." Someone chided.

"Wait!" Everyone turned to me, which made me slightly uncomfortable, but I braved on. "What if it's not that sort of fight? But let's make them think that it is?"

"What do you mean, Isis?" The twins asked curiously.

I smirked. "Here's what we're gonna do."

Third Person

"There's a fight in the courtyard! Help, there's a fight in the courtyard!" A running student kept shouting, alerting the Professors in the vicinity.

"I wonder who it is this time." Professor Flitwick mused as he made his way to the courtyard. Mcgonagall, Snape, and Sprout just sighed as they joined to take a look at what's happening. Surprisingly, they met the Headmaster halfway there and they told him what's going on so he went to join them.

"Take him down!"

"You can do it!"

"Go, Weasley!"

Cheers were heard as soon as they approached the courtyard. They hurried, afraid that the fight will get out of hand. They were physically stopped though, by an invisible barrier on the entryway.

"What in the name of-" They didn't even notice the flash that went off, Snape just went on and dismissed the barrier with a flick of his wand.

When they got to the large crowd of students, they physically pushed through the middle. Some students noticed and made way, while some where still oblivious and continued cheering.

"What is happening here?" Mcgonagall asked just as she reached the center of the circle which made everyone stop.

There, in the middle of the 'fight', was Ron Weasley and Blaise Zabini playing Wizard Chess.

Everyone was silent until there was laughter from behind Mcgonagall. They all turned and saw none other than Dumbledore laughing, which was what made the students laugh at the success of their prank. The laughter went on for a while until the Headmaster raised a hand, prompting silence from everyone.

"All I could say is, that was brilliant." There were cheers from the students, and in the end, no detentions were given and everyone was happy.

The hours approaching dinner had a certain excitement in the air while some are tense. This day made them wary that every corner there could be a prank waiting for them. Everything seemed normal as they walked in the Great Hall though, so everyone calmed a little bit.

The freshly cooked doughnuts on their tables were noticed by many upon arrival and were immediately nervous because of the caramel coated onions at lunch earlier. After finishing dinner, some investigated by slicing the doughnut to see if something's wrong only to find nothing and everyone let down their guards. Which is their mistake again.

"BLOODY HELL WHAT"

"That is just evil, why would someone do this?"

"Hey Neville, what's wrong?"

"There's mayonnaise in this, Hannah, how can you eat that?"

"Mine has strawberry filling what are you talking about?"

"Oh goodness, that is mayonnaise. There must be a bad one in every bunch! The pranksters strike again."

And just like that, the Great Hall is in chaos again and everyone who wasn't part of the prank completely lost trust of everything they're going to eat.

A.N.: So hey there! If there is someone reading this hahaha! You may be wondering why I suddenly reappeared with a new chapter and what happened in the 2 years I was absent. If not, well thank you for reading and please review! And if you are curious, well read on!

I was in college, did one more research that lasted a year, and graduated with good grades (thank goodness). Then I reviewed for my Psychometrician Licensure Examinations for 5 months, took said exam last October 29 and 30, and found out 4 days ago that I passed! Now I'm a licensed professional! For me, a lot happened, and I now have this free time to write and update this. I've actually been doing bits of this while reviewing for my exams as a way of procrastination, and I'm thankful since I know I'm going to finally finish this.

I would've uploaded this earlier, but I wanted to get the ambiance and the feel of this chapter to match where I actually left off (2 years ago), I think I got it a bit? But of course I'm not that good at pranks so I consulted some sites and blogs (buzzfeed, seventeen, and cafemom) for senior pranks that actually happened and I used some of those.

Tell me what you think about this please? If you're willing to give this a shot? Did I do a crappy job at connecting to the last chapter? Or are you proud of me for finishing college? Hahahaha! I just wanted to hear from you!

Thank you for reading until here!
