The rules of the fae are simple. If a parent successfully identifies that their child has been replaced by a changeling within a week of the switch occurring, the one taken will be returned to them by the fae that stole them. If not, a curse will befall their home. Techno's mother figured out the truth within a day. But Tommy never did care much for the rules.
