Pain
As the leaves begin to fall,
I finally hear your call.
But as the cool breeze from the wind nips
The old delicate leaves
I feel I can no longer breathe.
The strength I seek with in
Slowly breaks through autumn's tough skin.
.x.
As the full luminous moon shines bright
The awakening horrors come into sight.
With one past and one new beginning
I can see the scarce feeling pulse through my veins.
.x.
Now as the darkness comes alive,
There's an echoed voice deep down inside
And can no longer seek to survive.
.x.
As the leaves begin to disappear
Under the heavy frost-bitten blanket of white,
One faint voice calls out my name...
.x.
Paralyzed by fright,
I lay my head down to the unknown.
One breath in
And one breath out.
A steady heartbeat?
Darkness takes over me.
Every ounce of me.
I'm struck by fear once more.
Is this life real...or fake?
All I'm asking,
For my sake…
Is rescue me from this horror I now awake.…
Pain.
