In the aftermath of Angeal's passing, Zack and Sephiroth are struggling to find their way in a world without their best friend, while Tseng is trying to balance a new assignment, his personal feelings and what is best for the company. Once upon a time in his youth, Angeal posed as the centerfold for an obscure porn magazine. When he made SOLDIER First Class, Shinra decided to erase its history for PR reasons. A few years later, Reno and Rude find an old copy in a used bookstore and purchase it so it can be safely destroyed. This results in many more complications than if they'd just left it to molder there.

What begins as a fight against a corrupt corporation turns into a struggle for the life of the planet itself. Based on the popular RPG, this is my interpretation of it, fully improvised chapter by chapter from basic notes made from playing the game. Contains violence, mild language, and suggestive themes. Trapped in the Shinra Mansion, Zack and Cloud form a powerful psychic connection as a result of Hojo's experiments on them. This connection follows them through their imprisonment, escape, and across the veil between life and death. This story explores consequences of this through the whole series. Natalie/Lee aka Marin Oakley (she/they) managed to escape the SOLDIER program and land in the Slums under Midgar. They still don't remember who she was before becoming a SOLDIER, while she landed a big job that leads to bigger trouble. Meanwhile their friends on Earth haven't forgotten their friend Marin. And have to work with the enigmatic figure that calls itself 'Ardyn'.

A SOLDIER reject is recruited by the Turks. Finding that many of the Shinra employees were less than professional was one thing. Surviving the many shenanigans that happen there was another. Follow Dante in a slow descent into a morally ambiguous job that is not quite what he imagined, all while tiptoeing around the limits of whats acceptable. Non-explicit M/M relation of OC's.

Alone and frustrated Aerith seeks compassion, to feel something besides the cursed prophecy that will once again take her from this world. She thought with fate destroyed she'd be free from the hands of death. Except, not only did she change the future and possibly the entire line of fate, but she might have gotten a bit more than she bargined for. Cross-posted on AO3.
